Rate this book
If you love Pride and Prejudice, and sweet clean Regency Romance, you'll love this series! If you favor JAFF authors like Reynolds, Wells, Kendig, and Salier, these books are meant for you! Elizabeth from America is a serial series with a new episode every few weeks. This book contains episodes 1 through 6 and ends on a satisfying note before the story takes up again in book seven. What you'll find inside this
Elizabeth from America is not a Bennet, or at least not completely. After her father passes on to his reward, he has left her a letter begging her to sail to England and find her family. The next months take us all over regency England on an entertaining romp where our favorite characters fall in love, get in scrapes, have intrigues, and even solve a few mysteries. The ladies are strong and intelligent, and our gentlemen are swoon worthy. You'll meet with many new and lovable characters, and a story you have never imagined will be woven.
Currently, the next compilation of books 7-10 can be downloaded or order in print, and more episodes are available in eBook form. Future compilations will also become available in large paperback form. Click on 'follow author' to always be informed when new episodes are released. Delightful

An absolutely delightful and adventurous variation inspired by Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice by Cherise Vermillion. I hope they write more because I enjoyed it.

I loved it!

Warning: Meant for mature audiences. Contains scenes that would scandalize the ton. Readers of a delicate constitution are advised to keep their fans and vinaigrettes close at hand.

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. You will see the most beloved characters in a whole new way. This is a Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice variation. This is part of the Elizabeth from America series. This is book 1 through 6 combined into one story (though individual books are available if you prefer to read them that way). The only change in this edition is the cast of character, places, and things listed at the end, and eventually there will be another chapter added to this edition coming in 2026. This is a low angst, sweet, clean, and exciting story that will keep you interested until the very end.

What if Elizabeth was born in America and is only partly a Bennett? What if she is very rich? What if she has never met her English family? What if she travels to England to meet all of them? What will happen if she meets Miss Darcy before Wickham tries to elope with her? What if she meets Mr. Darcy and he does not like Americans? What if there are all new characters who are part of her life? Come meet the new Elizabeth as she interacts with all of our most beloved, and hated, characters from Pride and Prejudice. There will be excitement and intrigue, along with humor and romance. Will there be a happily ever after for our dear couple? So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.

Imaginative

While Ms. Vermillion is quite creative, her work is plagued throughout by the use of the wrong homophone and her habit of ending dialogue with a period, followed by the attribution. Along the lines of:
"Now I understand." Said Elizabeth.
She writes in simple declarative sentences, which may be appealing to some readers.
If you are not disturbed by these flaws (and editor, a proofreader, or even some thorough beta readers would really help), you will probably find her stories quite enjoyable.

Elizabeth Russell is the daughter of Thomas Bennet’s sister and the third son of an earl and is from Boston. She is very pretty, smart, very rich, has connections, is well travelled, and is surrounded by love. Upon her father’s death she spends a year in England finding family, roots and romantic love. She constantly saves people from themselves and others. There is almost zero angst and only the occasional bad guy who is dispatched quickly.

Elizabeth From America

What a lovely surprise in a P&P variation. The angst was supple and enhanced the flow of the story. I forward to more from this author.
