Angelina J. Steffort is a bestselling, award-winning Austrian novelist, best known for her Wings series and her Shattered Kingdom series. With over twenty YA and adult fantasy and paranormal romance books under her belt, Angelina is far from done with inventing and exploring new worlds. That might have something to do with her passion for following the narrative of new characters and getting surprised by the twists they spin on her stories. Angelina has multiple educational backgrounds including engineering, business, music, and acting. Currently, Angelina lives in Vienna, Austria, with her husband and her son.
From the very beginning of this series even through till the end of the finale of Myron & Ayna's story, everything from highs and lows was well written. I have gotten so invested in the characters that the author keeps you engaged in the story plot and all the characters. Even though this is the last book in the 5 book series, I still was shocked by ALL the emotions that this book had and such an amazing and impactfull way. AS USUAL I finished this book in 3 days!!!! Which says a lot 😆. I cant thank this author enough for bringing us into this book series and letting us live through Myron and Aynas story. OHHHH and the author surely made for an awesome surprise at the end of the book too!! NO SPOILERS HERE, you will have to read the book to find out what happens 🥰 I was very greatful to be apart of Angelina's ARC team and be able to read this first hand. 100000000% worth reading if you haven't started this series yet!!!!
So disappointed - it’s like another author took over writing an in noncohesive, random group of stories in the last third of the book. It just never lived up to its potential. The entire set of books could have been 3 books. I was so sick of the main characters getting captured and tortured - OVER and OVER. I wasted hours on what I thought would be a great ending.

War rages among the fairy courts as Anya and her allies desperately fight for freedom. Shifting allegiances, lifelong prejudices, and bargains come to a head in this final installment of the series.
Series tropes: 💪🏻Power couples 🚫Touch him/her & 💀 🧑🧑🧒🧒Found family 🏰Courtly intrigue 🐦⬛Crows & fairies 🥀BATB retelling 💞Fated mates 🌶️: open door
Anya and Herinor’s story arcs soar in this installment as they both work around their limitations to save those they love. This found family forged by tribulation and bound by unwavering devotion also shines.
For me, the central romance burns brightest of all. All the sacrifice and heartache has led to these moments and I was begging for their HEA!
In Realm of Crows, the author delivers a suspenseful, heartfelt, and epic conclusion to the series. With the world continuing to expand, I’m so excited for everything the author has planned!
Huge thanks the author for the opportunity to read and review this advanced reader copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
On the arrival of the “Berrr” months brings some exceptional reads, and this spectacular trilogy, brings a thrilling adventure to a head.
From the outset, off the top intrigue with a kingdom on the verge of collapse and an alliance hanging in the balance! Anyas and Myrions journey raises the question? Can they be saved or face ruin? Leading to a chaotic display of power - of wills and truths spoken!
Anya and Myrions journey is fraught with trails and perils but both are determined and their spirit remains unbroken, as they rise to face the challenges of a new day.
Ch 2 is full or angst, high stakes and palpable tension! I caught myself caught up in Myrons emotional turmoil. The world building is creative, with great pacing and deep raw plots unfolding. The character development and writing is very engaging and so relatable, I felt very immersed!
Not just a gripping page turner but a must read and bookshelf addition for the oncoming fall-winter season!
Wow. What a fantastic end to this series! (That's as close as this review will come to spoilers).
I've loved every minute of Myron and Ayna's journey. I also can't think of another book/series where the side characters were so well done they didn't feel like side characters at all. They are so well crafted you can’t help but love them.
From the rich world to the story telling that keeps you on the edge of your seat, never being entirely sure just how our amazing characters are going to save themselves, and each other, this a book you don't want to put down.
I admit to feeling a little sad that this journey is over, but Angelina has promised us she is working on something new in this realm of Alcuniare she has so expertly created. Who knows, perhaps we will meet some of them again.
If you haven’t read this series now is the time, you won’t regret it.
Realm of Crows pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go. I felt every moment of fear, hope, betrayal, and love right along with the characters. The way Angelina J. Steffort writes this world the darkness, the magic, the longing made me feel like I was standing right beside them, wings brushing my skin.
What hit me the hardest was how emotional the journey is. The battles aren’t just physical; they’re battles of the heart, of trust, of choosing who you want to be even when the world is falling apart. And that last battle… it broke me in the best way. I was cheering, I was crying, and I was holding my breath all at once.
This book reminded me why I love fantasy because it makes you feel. And Realm of Crows made me feel everything.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC and I have to say this was such a good ending to the series! Without spoiling I will say I think just about everyone got the kind of ending I wanted for them. The battle scenes, the romance, the strategy… all just what I wanted. If you follow the series you won’t be disappointed!
Wow what an EPIC conclusion!!! I was absolutely spellbound by this final book in this incredible crow saga. I'm so I love with all these amazing characters and can't wait for more in this world!! That final battle scene was just epic!! Angelina truly is the queen of epic battles. I thought the final Shattered Kingdom battle was amazing but this one is next level!! I just couldn't put it down! Just so many amazing scenes I'd never seen before!! Truly an amazing series!!
I lose my heart each time I read an Angelina book but in this one, I lost my heart, my soul, my entire being! I thought that no one could top Recienne, aka Rogue, as my number one swoon worthy book boyfriend but I was wrong... so very wrong.... When I was first introduced to Myron, the butterflies in my tummy threatened to turn me inside out, and yes, you guessed it, MYRON did, in fact, turn me inside out, upside down and every freaking which way possible! So, before I carry on, I'd like to state emphatically, I LOOOOOOVE MYRON!!! Ok, with that out the way, now I can tell you HOW much I adored this book and series. I'm actually not sure I can convey the feelings this series aroused in me, I'm not sure how I'll be able to live without my "fix" of Ayna and Myron 😭Myron and Anya, well heck! These two ignite the pages, setting an inferno no one can put out! My heart sings with joy whenever these two are together, I feel their passion, their love, their bond through every fibre of my being... Ayna IS the queen of Myron's heart.
So, without further ado, OH! MY! WORD! This book was simply STUPENDOUS!!!! I loved loved LOVED it! I loved the pacing, I loved the twists, I loved every second reading this, I loved how the story wrapped up but most of all, I LOVE that Anya.... well, no... you need to read it!!!! But just know, I was ecstatic! This plot is beyond brilliant, these characters are beyond fabulous, this author's storytelling is beyond impressive, spectacular, captivating and brings all the feels! Loudly! From the excellent pacing, as always, excellent emotional onslaught, as always, fabulous plot, as always, outstanding storytelling, as always, I was trying to slow myself down to savour each word but at the same time I was dying to know what happens next. THIS is what this author is so talented at! She makes each and every book utterly UNPUTDOWNABLE! She carefully, meticulously crafts a tale that pull you in, pulls you under and you're lost in the story, in the characters. Any and all of these characters are magnificent, crafted to perfection, their wants, their needs, their strengths, their flaws, all scream at me, embracing me.
My goodness, I'm at a loss to describe this book, to try and even capture a nuance of it's glory and characters. Ayna's growth is beyond exceptional, her magic has evolved to levels she could never anticipate, from her early beginnings as a pirate, to being captured, tortured, then "sold" to the Crow King, to her evolving into something more, WOW, just wow! Ms Steffort has a magic touch, an invisible spell that transforms me into a mushy mess. And that's even before we meet the likes of Kaira, Status, Herinor, Royard or the likes of Hepha, or any of the rest! We even get the awesome and stunning characters from previous series, Clio, Tor, Recienne, Sanja, jolting my heart once more. She brings us the most beautiful love story, fraught with perils, with an abundance of trauma and sweeps it all away, almost magically, to bring forth the warmest of feelings settling on me, in me. What Myron and Anya have,
Hells, by building up the tension for the final showdown, I was in danger of imploding, exploding, all the frigging "plodings"! Ms Steffort brings me to my knees from the anguish I suffer together with these characters. It was really thrilling in the true sense of the word. The action intense, interspersing it with beautiful moments like when Myron and Anya found each other again, when Recienne and Sanja name their babies, like when Herinor... you get the picture! And there were moments of real anger from me, at Erina, at Ephegos, at Shealak, who I REALLY wanted to kick in his nether regions! Kaira explained him aptly, "Shealak is a chaos loving sob, who likes to play games". How this author crafts their individually is spectacular, I laugh with them, cry with them, feel rage with them, feel pain with them, feel joy with them. And there is an abundance of ALL these feels! The emotional turmoil I felt with every cell in my body, those battle scenes were spectacular, had me going "yay" one minute, to "NOOOOOOO!" the next minute and back to "yay"! Culminating in a spectacular battle, action that dried my mouth from the intensity. Never, for one minute, could I gauge which way the author would take the story, shoot, there were times I nearly called it tickets for some of the characters, how she manipulated my feelings with WHAT Herinor went through, I was ready to curl up in a ball and just sob, but then, in true Angelina style, she janked it in another direction, to say they were twists wouldn't do justice, like a pendulum swaying, mesmerisingly mind-blowing!
What an incredible ending! It wound around my heart like a vice, first in agony, then so much joy erupted from me. With a new beginning for Myron, Anya and all the remaining Crows, with a promise of more to come in this world, appeases me slightly... I loved how Ms Steffort brought it all together, shoo, she had me in tears for a minute or two or three.. with the whole Herinor saga... with many a scene in fact. Be warned, you will NOT be able to put this book down, you will NOT be able to forget these characters, you will NOT be able to relinquish this world no matter how much you try, THIS book and series will forever live with you, as it does with me. Since I picked up my first Angelina book years ago, she quickly became a MUST read author for me, I devour every book she writes and I'll continue to do so for as long as she produces them!
Quick somebody dig up Cecil B. DeMille, Angelina J. Steffort has given us a tale that would do justice to the epic scale and cinematic grandeur of the golden age of films. “Realm of Crows” is the finale for the series, ‘Wings of Ink’ that began with the prequel “The Fall of the Wild Ray.” The curse of the Crows has been broken. Myron and Ayna are gathering forces for a battle that will either see the end of the terror that Erina and Ephegos have brought to Eherea or will face death at the hands of the power-hungry human and vengeful Crow fae. The search continues for an antidote against the magic nulling potion that Erina and Ephegos have been using against them in battle. They must face a traitor who was once a friend. They try to convince King Dimar II of the human city, Cezux ,to join them in the battle against the villainous duo before no one is left to stand by his city to stop their march to rule over all the land. Even while Henior seeks to aid the rebels without breaking his promised bargain with Ephegos. Battles rage across the pages with screams of death, pain and heartbreak for the souls lost and still the rebels fight to reach the leaders that must be brought down. A story for the ages with villains (both human and fae), power hungry vengeful antagonists, human and fae alike on both sides of war fighting for right to rule over all of Eherea and her people while gods who watch and wait to see who be…. ‘the most fitting one to lead the Crows to greatness.” There are heartrending tales of lovers torn apart, heated love scenes, mistrust between allies, traitors brought out of the shadows, sacrifice by many but one above all that will end the battle, history brought to light as the battles rage on even as Myron, Ayna, the rebels and their allies fight to put the past behind them to bring the people of Eherea together in peace. I ranted, I cheered, I cried but I kept turning the pages even as I cringed during the actions in battle. “Realm of Crows” is an ending worthy of this epic narrative of a story that began long ago, while readers stepped into it a millennia after the curse began that brought, hate, fear, terror, torture and death. In the midst of it all a love was born that would stay strong through unholy dread and bring a final ending to this magnificent series. I highly recommend you start at the beginning and follow the journey to the end. I was given an advanced readers copy for my voluntary review.
This epic series comes to a stunning conclusion in Realm of Crows. Ayna has been through so much since she was sent to the Crow King to become a cursed bride doomed to death. Now, she is trapped in the clutches of the traitor Crow Ephagos while Myron tries to raise allies to defeat Erina, the usurper king on Ayna’s rightful throne, and his powerful Crow general Ephagos.
This book is full of fateful pacts made with gods, secret plots in hidden castle dungeons, and epic battles. With the Dark God making his presence known and throwing kinks in the plots of both sides of the war, the action never stops and the outcomes are never sure. Only one thing is promised, whoever wins the war gets Ayna for a mate, per the Dark God. Even if it is the villainous Ephagos.
I love Ayna. She is such a strong FMC. She is no shrinking violet but a true queen battling from the frontlines of every skirmish, be it political or physical. And Myron, the troubled Crow King and her true mate, has grown across the series into a king that inspires true loyalty not based on fear or magical bonds. I could not stomach the thought of any outcome that didn’t end up with them having a HEA, but boy did they have to work for it.
The villain is spectacular, especially paired up with the evil human king. I loved all their plotting and intrigue, with them seemingly having the upper hand at every turn. Every good villain deserves a bad end, and the author delivers these in fine style. I was cheering as they met their match in epic showdowns.
All of the secondary characters have grown on me through the books, especially the male Crows who have gone for centuries with no hope for their species since all the women and children were slaughtered in a past tragic betrayal. There are HEAs for several characters, and heartbreak for a few, but the ending wrapped everything up nicely.
This series is a treat and I recommend it to adult lovers of epic fantasy and paranormal romance. There are some spicy bedroom scenes, so I would say a firm 17+ recommendation. I will be reading the rest of Angelina Steffort’s works, especially since I have found out some are set in the same world with some of the secondary characters from this series.
I read an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ayna has escaped from the traitor crow and the king who have been trying to claim her for themselves and found her way back to her mate, friends, and family. They have allies to help defeat their enemies, but will it be enough? Can they actually succeed against the drug that even the slightest contact with will temporarily remove their magic abilities? Are there enough people willing to fight with or for her? Or will Ephegos manage to kill Myron, fulfilling the bargain he made with the Crow God, Shelak, to force Anya to become his mate instead of Myron’s. With more hidden traitors surrounding them, is there truly hope for their success, and will they be able to find a new home and create a kingdom for the surviving Crow Fairies and any who would choose to join them?
I received and read a review copy of this book, and wow, it does not disappoint. This book will take you through the full range of emotions, from joy and hope to despair then back again multiple times. This book made me both tear up and smile at different times. It is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I do not want to give anything away to those who have not either read this book or the earlier books in the series, but I will say that if you have read any of Ms. Steffort’s other books, you will want to read both this book and the previous ones in the series. (I would recommend reading them in order if you don’t want to be lost, however.) It is the perfect ending for this series, as well as a potential starting point for a new one (though that last is only my opinion, as I have no idea whether or not the author will decide to write more about any of the characters who were in this book or not, but I hope that she will.)
Anyone who has read any of Ms. Steffort’s other books, whether from this series or her other series’ will enjoy this book. Anyone who enjoys stories about different types of fae, and their interactions with humans, those who enjoy a romantic fantasy series that takes you through the entire range of emotions, as well as those who enjoy stories about magical creatures, a war that includes their gods, or just a well written fantasy novel will likely enjoy this book. Recommended.
A Fitting and Emotional Finale Angelina J. Streffort's Realm of Crows is a breathtaking conclusion to the Wings of Ink series, and it's a journey I'm sad to see end. This book, along with the entire series, is a masterclass in weaving a high-stakes plot with deep, emotional connections.
Streffort has created a truly immersive world, and as a fan of her other works in the ALCUNAIRE universe, I was completely captivated. The magic system is unique and fascinating, and seeing how all the different pieces from previous books, like Shattered Kingdom and The Quarter Mage, come together in this finale is incredibly satisfying. It's clear why she's an auto-read author for me.
My favorite part of this series has always been the found family dynamic. The bonds between the characters feel genuine, and I was so invested in their journey. This final installment is a testament to those relationships, showing their strength as they face betrayal and war. Realm of Crows had me on an emotional rollercoaster—I was smiling one minute and crying the next. I was so engrossed that I just wanted to keep turning the pages, even though I didn't want the story to end.
For fans of Quicksilver, From Blood and Ash, and A Court of Thorns and Roses, this is an absolute must-read. The high-stakes fantasy and epic romance are perfectly balanced, and it delivers a powerful, emotional punch.
And then this series was over. I’m honestly quite sad that this series has come to an end. I grew really attached to these characters and this world very quickly, and now that it’s over, while I’m excited to see what is next, I’m also sad that the story has come to an end.
This is an epic conclusion to the series though! It’s so fast paced and yet we still have time to wrap up everything. The story feels so perfectly complete now.
I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, so I’m keeping this review super vague, but this book made me smile, laugh, cry, gasp, and I was on the edge of my seat pretty routinely throughout. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better final book in the series.
I feel like even though the book is over, the character journey is very far from over. If this series were to one day be revisited or if these characters were to appear in a spinoff series, I would be over the moon to see what they are up to.
Here’s what’s important: -you need to read the rest of the series. This is not a standalone. -the books pick up right where the previous left off -action is heavy in all books, while some focus more heavily on character development -this could be considered an epic fantasy
Thank you very much to Angelina J. Steffort for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’m so sad to see Anya and Myron’s story over! I’m so happy that they got their HEA but sad that they will continue on without me knowing exactly what is happening when there’s so much more I want to eavesdrop in on in their lives!
Realm of Crows was the best finale book I could have asked for to be written and sum up a series. You get the amazing large battle scenes you always want and hope for in a book, the rug at the heart strings for the characters that you hope won’t die, and then the feeling of loss for the ones that do. You get the the feeling of victory when the good guys win out and overcome the bad guys like they always should, but what Steffort does here, is takes you through a long roller coaster ride that is so detailed, you don’t know where you want to look because you are afraid you will miss something, but it goes by so quick. I have lived the growth that both Anya and Myron have gone through, along with our favorite crow characters (Royad, Silas, and Herinor) and the end is the perfect way to close out their story, even if I don’t want it to be done.
If you are looking for one of the best and unique climactic battle stories, grab Realm of Crows. You won’t be disappointed. If you need more convincing, it has the following tropes as well: fae, crow fae, magic battles, fated mates, touch him/her and die, found family, beauty and the beast retelling, HEA
The Wings of Ink series by Angelina J. Steffort is a captivating blend of fantasy, romance, and emotional depth that truly stands out from other series out there. From the very first book, I was pulled into a richly imagined world filled with magic, conflict, and characters that feel incredibly real.
One of the things I appreciated most was how Steffort weaves Ayna and Myron’s journey with both internal struggles and external challenges. Their growth throughout the series felt natural and relatable, especially as they navigated their growing relationships with the rebels, as well as their previous enemy-turn-allies Clio, Tori, Recienne and Sanja, as they faced the ever-growing threat of Erina and Ephegos.
The romance is handled beautifully, and Myron is just swoon worthy. The connection between Myron and Ayna is magical and endearing, making their moments together all the more impactful.
Overall, this epic conclusion is a beautifully written and emotionally engaging book that I would recommend to fans of fantasy, romance, and strong character development. It’s a story about identity, courage, and finding your place in a world that doesn’t always make sense—and it’s absolutely worth the read.
It’s over. The story of Anya & Myron .. it’s over. Such a bittersweet moment for me. Wings of Ink was the first book I ever read of @angelinajsteffort not knowing it wasn’t a completed series. Fast forward to me devouring The Shattered Kingdom & Quarter Mage Series while I waited for the remaining Wings of Ink books to get released. I gotta tell ya.. the Queen of the Alcunaire sure knows how to make all these stories collide… will we meet Gandrett again since we meet again?? I have so many hopes & questions!!
Anyway.. back to the book review: I LOVED the final book of the series! The wild ride of not knowing what was going to happen.. and hello.. Herinor does WHAT?! Angelina brought it all together perfectly. I had so many ups and downs and honestly could have read this book in less than 2 days but had a hard time accepting it was the last one I honestly cannot give you more than that without absolutely ruining it.. just drop what you’re doing and READ Wings of Ink AND the rest! I’m so thankful to be a part of the ARC team! I need more people obsessed so we can discuss what we think will happen next! 🤩
“You know I will devour you, Ayna.” 🖤 Uh—devour me first, why don’t you?
This finale was a crown made of feathers, forged in blood, betrayal, and divine sass. 👑⚔️ The war is no longer coming—it’s HERE, and Ayna isn’t just a queen… she’s the reckoning.
The ancient magic is unraveling, kingdoms are falling, and Ayna must unite fractured realms or risk losing everything. The battle scenes? Cinematic. The tension? Cut through it with a sword. The romance? Let’s just say I was kicking my feet under a weighted blanket. 😍
💬 Fans of: ✦ From Blood and Ash ✦ ACOTAR ✦ Quicksilver ➡️ You’ll eat this UP like a crow in a battlefield.
🖤 A heart-pounding, soul-tearing, finale that left me SCREAMING into the void (and maybe hugging my kindle like a lifeline).
This is the final book in the Wings of Ink series, and this book ends the series with a bang! The story picks up right where book four left off, Ayna escapes Ephegos’s claws, while Myron seeks an alliance with the King of Cezux to strengthen their fight against Ephegos and King Erina.
Ayna’s growth throughout the series is just amazing. She has not only mastered her magic and crow abilities, but she also stepped fully into her role as a worthy Queen who inspires those around her.
Myron’s character also has grown. He turned into a supportive mate who trusts Ayna’s strength as a fighter, leader, and future Queen of the Crows.
This book gave me everything I wanted and needed in the finale. We got new alliances, broken bargains, redemption for Herinor (very important), and an ending that is complete and hopeful. The author did leave the door slightly open for a new series that could include some side characters. It is the perfect ending to an amazing series.
I was fortunate to receive an early copy of “Realm of Crows” from the author and I have to say that the final book in the “Wings of Ink” series does not disappoint!
There has been so much going on and so many pieces falling into place leading up to the final book I wasn’t sure how it would all come together and I was definitely worried about the survival of some of my favorite characters. Angelina Steffort pulled everything together in a fast paced and engaging story that keep you guessing how it will all turn out and who will survive until the very end.
Ayna coming to terms with being the Queen of two peoples and trying to make her way back to her Crow Court and her human Court, Myron worried that his mate is lost to him and in the hands of their enemies, Kaira and Herinor still dancing around their feelings for each other and his agony of his past decisions. The Fae, Crows and mortals having to reluctantly work together and Ephegos and Erina being as horrible as you can expect, with yet a new twist to Erina and of course the meddling gods always playing their own games.
The final battle looms and it is epic!
Highly recommend the entire series as well as the larger world created by Angelina Steffort!
It all comes down to this book. This epic conclusion to the series. Once again I was blown away by Angelina Steffort's ability to have me completely immersed in the storyline and the characters and invested in their ultimate conclusions. I hurt when they hurt. I smile when they smile. I cry when they cry. All the emotions.
Emotionally-charged, breath-holding, anxiety-inducing, nail-biting, action-packed, true enemies to lovers fantasy romance that has come full circle. It's packed with sacrifices, impossible choices, sheer determination, hope, and so much love.
Ayna and Myron, along with all their family, friends, and allies, are facing the ultimate battle. A battle that has been building since book 1, and I was not disappointed. I can hardly wait to re-read the entire series again.
This was a really great read. I love when I find a kingdom on the verge of just ruin and damnation. Anya and Myrons story was everything I looked for in an amazing fantasy story and so much more.
This book is full of intrigue and peril, angst and tension as well as plenty of emotional drama amd turmoil. However, would it be a good fantasy book if it didn't have those things?
Anya and Myron ... the pull between the two of them is undeniable. Each of them are the gasoline that ignites the other. I didn't get a chance to read all the books in the series from the beginning but I will definitely be going back and reading the entire series, including the ones I've already read all over again because I just loved it that much.
OMG this author never disappoints! This series has been incredible since book one, drawing you in with incredible world building and fantastic characters and once started you just cannot stop reading and this last book is no different. Ayna is such a great fmc, she’s strong, she’s feisty and she won’t go down without a fight and in this series, she has been through so much but keeps on fighting. Myron is our incredible mmc and Anya’s true mate and together they are unstoppable and they must take down the baddies. It’s been one hell of a journey, emotional, exciting, captivating and has you hooked from the get go as the author brings everything together to give us an epic ending worthy of such an amazing fantasy series.
4.5 The final book in this series following Anya and Myron, the crow king and queen, fighting to defend the lands alongside their new fae friends, Rogue and Sanja. Not to mention my fave characters Tori and Clio. As the final battle looms closer to defeat vengeful enemies, friendships and trust will be tested against magical bargains and the gods prophecies. Will the Askarean and Crow far manage to find an antidote to the magic inhibiting drug in time? Or will Shaelak’s prophecy come true? A sometimes tense and action packed read as this series comes to its resolution.
Recommended for fans of well written FaRo and emotional action with a tinge of spicy romance.
Erina and Ephegos have many advantages with a few that were not revealed until the ultimate battle. It sure seems like the odds are stacked in their favor. Upon discovery of a few of them, Anya, Myron, Clio, Tori, Kaira, and the crows loyal to them try to take some of those advantages away. Will they be able to do it? They do discover a few things that will help them in the inevitable confrontation. Will they be successful? Will they all make it out alive? There is no time to rest as everything they hold dear is at stake. Who will come out the victor? Well read and find out. This story gives you many surprises and lots of action. You will not be disappointed.
Realm of Crows is book 5 (and the final book) of Wings of Ink, and as sad as I am there are no more to come of this series, it was an extremely satisfying conclusion. This is definitely the perfect happily ever after we hoped Ayna and Myron would get. As well as the other characters we’ve all come to love. I don’t want to say much besides read this book! Read the whole series! Read the entire Alcunaire world! Angelina is such a wonderfully creative storyteller. The world of Alcunaire she’s created, the characters she’s brought to life have enraptured me from the very beginning. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next and who she brings into our lives.
Angelina gives us an absolutely awesome finale for the Wings of Ink series! The story of Ayna, Myron and crew crashes onto our readers from the wicked cliffhanger of the previous book and the war between them and Ephegos and Erina heats up. We see old friends and new allies as all the players are moved into place for the final battle. To find out what happens on the way to their hard won HEA, dive into this beautifully written story with complex characters and plot twists that leave you gasping and turning pages throughout! I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series. Don't miss out on this book!!
As sad as I am to have this series end, it was a fantastic ending. Plenty of action, some romance, some heartbreak, and plenty of hope.
While Myron, Ayna, and the remainder of their court have been fighting for their lives through awful circumstances, they also realize that they must find a way to win the war for the future of all the realms.
I always love how Steffort connects her different characters together. The continuation of Rogue and Sanja's love story in the background of this one, the chapters from Herinor's perspective (the character I didn't realize I was going to end up loving so much), the way Clio and Tori have reconnected. Looking forward to what's coming next.
There was much sadness in this series, but hope and family were strong. I appreciated how enemies could put the past behind them and work together for a better future. For the record, my poor brain had difficulty with the multiple names that were similar enough to cause me to pause so I could figure out their proper roles: Ephegos, Ennis, Erina, Ed, Enhela, Eherea and Eroth. Perhaps future series could avoid this. Yet I fully recommend this series, especially if you like strong female and male characters, different species, war, gods, traitors, and fighting for what is right.
I have absolutely loved this series and will be doing a complete reread once I have recovered from this fantastic final book.
This has been one of my most anticipated books for this year and it did not disappoint. This was such a fitting end to the series and gave me everything I was hoping for in the way all the story threads were rounded up. The story flowed beautifully and is well paced with multiple povs. As with each of the previous books the world-building was so descriptive and immersive. This book had me gripped from the start. It was action packed, full of emotion with so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The battle scenes were epic!
I have absolutely loved following Ayna and Myron’s story with all the challenges and sacrifices they had to face. All the characters have such depth and have been so well developed. Overall I absolutely loved this book. I’m a bit sad to be leaving this story behind but at the same time I’m very much looking forward to the next story from the Alcunaire.
