A War Beyond Time. A Battle Beyond Worlds. A Truth That Cannot Stay Hidden.

Stephen Abner is running out of time. As the world teeters on the brink of chaos, he records one final message-a desperate warning to those who will come after him. But this is no ordinary war, and its roots stretch far beyond Earth, beyond history, beyond even the stars themselves.

In the celestial realms, Ammon, a scientist turned god, watches as creation unfolds-and fractures. His work was meant to bring life, not destruction. But as dark forces rise and ancient prophecies stir, he begins to realize that the whispers guiding mankind are not all divine. Some are far older. And far more dangerous.

On Earth, governments crumble under the weight of unseen puppet masters. In the shadows, an empire of deception grows, twisting truth into weapons and faith into fire. Nations rise, revolutions ignite, and somewhere in the heart of it all, one man-one fallen son-pulls the strings of a plan thousands of years in the making.

The Architect's design is unraveling. The Watchers are preparing their final move. And humanity stands at the precipice of a battle between light and darkness that will decide not just its future, but its very soul.

The truth was never meant to be known. But once whispered, it cannot be unheard.Perfect for fans of epic sci-fi, theological thrillers, and high-stakes political intrigue, Whispers of the Architect's Labyrinth is a gripping saga of divine creation, cosmic rebellion, and the fight for humanity's destiny.

I had the privilege of reading an ARC of this book, and it absolutely blew me away! The author masterfully weaves LDS theology, current events, and science fiction into a gripping, thought-provoking narrative. A spectacular read from start to finish!

Whispers of the Architect’s Labyrinth is the kind of book that doesn’t just widen its lens but blows the ceiling off entirely. Drake Kimball takes cosmic-scale ambition and runs with it, stitching together theology, sci-fi spectacle, political intrigue, and apocalyptic unrest into one sprawling, relentless tapestry. And somehow, against all odds, it works—messy in places, massive in scope, but undeniably gripping once you surrender to its rhythm.

The novel opens with the world in freefall—riots, schisms, nations cracking under invisible pressure—and from there Kimball keeps stacking layers: divine wars, celestial scientists, ancient entities that predate creation itself. One minute you’re on Earth with governments splintering under shadowy manipulations, and the next you’re in the heavens beside Ammon, a scientist-god wrestling with the moral fallout of his own creations. It’s bold, occasionally overwhelming, but always fascinating.

There’s a kind of fever-dream energy to the way Kimball writes—fast, urgent, and unashamedly dramatic. At times the story throws you straight into the fire without much runway, but if you’re willing to be swept along, the payoff is worth it. The threads—cosmic rebellion, divine doubt, human fragility—gradually knit together, revealing a conflict that’s less about good vs. evil and more about truth vs. the stories we’re taught to believe.

I especially enjoyed how the book asks big, theological questions without pausing for applause: What happens when creation goes off-script? Who gets to decide the fate of a world—its gods, its governments, or the quiet hands pulling strings behind them? And what does “light” even mean when the ones claiming to wield it may not have humanity’s interests at heart?

If you’re someone who loves expansive, mythology-infused sci-fi—the kind that mixes angels with advanced civilizations, prophecy with politics—Whispers of the Architect’s Labyrinth scratches that itch beautifully. It’s intense, imaginative, and fearlessly ambitious. A little chaotic at the start, sure, but once the architecture of the story reveals itself, you can’t help but admire its scale.

An epic for readers who like their fiction big, strange, and loaded with existential stakes. Kimball swings for the stars—and more often than not, he hits them.

I am a Muslim man, and I read this book. I am furious. This book insult my faith, disrespect Islam in worst way. It show Islam as evil, violent, full of hate. This is a lie. Islam is about peace, kindness, respect for all people. Author has no understanding of real Islam. He spread hate with this book.

What make me most angry is how author say Anti-Christ is Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. This is disgusting! Prophet Muhammad is beloved by over billion people. He is not evil, not what this book says. This lie hurt so many people. It make me sick to think someone write this with no care for truth.

And how dare author write about Kaaba this way? It is holy place, most sacred to Muslims around the world. Author write about its destruction like it nothing. This is insult to every Muslim. You do not understand what Kaaba means to us! It hurt deeply to read such disrespect.

Author is infidel. Allah will find him. He will answer for this evil lie. You cannot insult faith of billion Muslims and think there is no consequence.

I do not say stories about religion must be always good, but this book is hateful. It twist facts, make Muslims look like monsters. It dangerous. It make people believe lies. This is not just bad storytelling, it is spreading hate. It not right.

Why author write this garbage? There are many ways to tell stories, but not like this. This book only hurt people, create more hate. Author should learn about Islam before spreading lies. I ask readers, do not trust this book. Find real stories, true stories about Islam. This book is poison.

By the time you read this, I'll be gone.

The world is crumbling, and my time is up. But before they come for me, I need to tell you the truth. My name is Stephen Abner. And this… this is my final testimony.

The air is thick, stale. My dinner sits untouched beside me, cold and forgotten. I should have eaten it. I should have done a lot of things.

The cursor blinks. Waiting. Like it knows what's coming. My fingers hover over the keyboard, unmoving. The words press against the back of my mind, but they won't come. I exhale. Slow. Shallow. This is it. The last thing I will ever write. The only part of me that will remain after tonight.

Tomorrow, I die. Not in the poetic sense. Not metaphorically. Literally.

In a few short hours, I will walk out that door, stand before my friends, and begin my final speech— right before they take me away.

I tell myself I'm ready. But I know I'm lying—

Whispers of the Architect's Labyrinth, written by Drake Kimball, is an action novel that's colossal in scope. It opens with worldwide riots and fiery turmoil, and that sets the theme for much of the novel, as it follows what is basically an apocalypse. Kimball borrows elements from theology, leaning heavily into heavenly lore, using angels as antagonists and plot devices to move the story along. Personally, I felt like the story was a bit over-the-top though, and lacked proper exposition at the start. I understand that some people enjoy heavy-action fantasies, but it just wasn't my personal preference. Once you begin to understand the story, though, it delivers high stakes and fast action, perfect for fantasy enjoyers of all ages.

Whispers of the Architect’s Labyrinth, by Drake Kimball, explores the intersection between technology and religion in an exciting and unique way. Set in Chronosia in a long ago time, Kimball excellently portrays a world on the brink of upheaval, with Ammon- a prominent scientist- fighting to save it from itself.

This is an intriguing read. Kimball has a knack for generating and sustaining tension, and the tempo remains high till the very end. More importantly though, he presents this story in a unique way, as it features the best of sci fi and religious tropes, which few novels do.

This is a very creative story that I believe the author really poured his heart into. It’s a kind of action fantasy that has deep themes and is thoroughly engrossing and entertaining. This author is one to watch out for.

The author is inspired by Biblical elements and likes to go at a fast pace. It does have a lot packed into it that sometimes feels like a bit much. But overall, it’s a great epic that fantasy lovers are sure to enjoy.

This novel isn’t just a story—it’s an experience. The labyrinth serves as a brilliant metaphor, and the deeper themes of discovery, destiny, and deception add layers to an already engaging plot.
