One day I realized that no one was going to save me. A hero wasn't going to burst onto the scene and save me from my life. I had to be my own hero. Crap. An emergency council meeting is called summoning magical creatures of all kinds - dragons, trolls, elves, and fairies - to discuss the fate of one planet not in attendance - Earth. Light years away, bullied thirteen year old Duncan McDoogle would rather be anyone else in the world. Plagued by the death of his mother, Duncan struggles unsuccessfully to deal with the cruel situations in his life completely unaware that he is caught in an intergalactic web of lies, obsession, power, jealousy, love, and the traditions of a powerful race of creatures that span centuries.

Tanisha J. Ray is a licensed substance abuse counselor with a background in education. A North Carolina native, she enjoyed working with children and adolescents before facilitating groups within an AZ state prison. Even though Tanisha's a lover of good food, she's a horrible cook, which is fine, because there is always cereal!

Tanisha loves storytelling, adores children, and advocates for families. So, she decided to write juvenile fiction that promotes positive family values with reaffirming messages of resilience, tolerance, and compassion.

Tanisha's life purpose is to use the medium of storytelling to empower and inspire humanity, especially underrepresented population groups.
