Beautiful artwork and somewhere in there is a good Batman story, but the execution is very disjointed, with some big leaps of time and place that jar - had to look online for a plot outline on a couple of occasions to make sure I understood what was going on, and some plot strands, like Nightwing's appearance, are introduced but then underdeveloped or just disappear - probably finished in companion comics but not included here.

From researching, I see this graphic novel is part of a wider series. I'm not really sure why then this is packaged as a standalone collection because it makes little to no sense on its own. I genuinely had very little idea what was happening at any one time. One of my least enjoyable reads ever. Artwork is great at least.
