Madison holds two secrets, one from the mortal world, and one from her mother. She is a witch. And her father is still alive.

As she struggles to maintain a normal life, the weight of Salem's existence tempts her to reveal a truth Alexis has longed for. If her mental struggles weren't enough, it turns out that the Nefastus, an evil clan of witches, now not only know of her, but are determined to take her for their own nefarious plans. However, she does not stand alone against the darkness.

Vowing to protect her, the Castus Clan has agreed to take in the young witch. But when her silver-haired guardian becomes the victim of his own magic, Madison is forced to act on her own. Meanwhile, the war that Madison's vampiric aunt warned of is brewing. Will Madison be able to save the boy she is falling for without jeopardizing her destiny? One thing is for sure - the Nefastus are watching. One false step could not only seal the fate of the young, purple-eyed witch, but the entire world.

K.A. Poe's books aim to remedy the limp, helpless heroine that plagues many paranormal and urban fantasy novels by introducing strong, kick-ass female leads. Combining suspense and adventure with non-explicit romance, her Nevermore and Forevermore series have enticed hundreds of thousands of readers. From vampires to witches and werewolves, you will find what hundreds of five-star reviews confirm - once you join the adventure, you'll never want to stop.

She resides in Indiana with her husband and daughter. Accompanying the trio is K.A. Poe's writing assistant Aries (who happens to be a cat and doesn't do much in the way of assisting or writing, unless you consider sleeping on the keyboard helpful... ) and their two other furry companions - Lyra and Gemini.

Madison has come a long way since finding out that is she is a witch however now she is struggling internally over whether or not to tell her mom that her dad is still alive. Being taken in by The Castus clan, she is surrounded by people who are willing to help her out and to protect her from the Nefastus clan who want her for their own agenda. Then to top it all off, the boy she is falling in love with is dying and Madison is going to try and stop that from happening….Can Madison do all this without jeopardizing not only herself, her friends and her loved ones but the whole world.

I fell in love with Madison and her story in Kismet and Catalyst was just as good if not better than the first. You learn more about Alexis and Salem, more about Madison and how she is still trying to figure out her witch powers yet dealing with everything that is coming at her. K.A Poe is an amazing author that brings you deep into the world of magic and leaves you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out and to see what is in store for Madison and everyone else that surrounds her.

Great

Great

I think I like this series better than the Nevermore series. I was disappointed with the ending of Nevermore, but this ongoing storyline has rekindled my interest. I like reading more about the witch side.
