Ok did I miss half the story here!? What the hell is going on in this book? Do I have to read all of them to figure out this one!? Hell no! I will not be doing that. This story was not that good. And I was not into the whole Profiler bull. What is this an episode of criminal minds with some sex added and a failed love story added to make it seem like it was a romance book? It was not my thing at all.
If you enjoy reading a book that should be in a series (I mean labels this way) then by all means pick this one up. However, if you want a standalone type of story that makes sense, then I suggest you give this one a skip.
These are just my thoughts. I had to write it down so that I don't read this book again.

Although this story was not as fast paced as previous books by Silver, "Catch Me If You Can" was still a pretty good read. I really enjoyed alpha billionaire, Hank Mancini and the FBI agent's sparks flying all over the place! Hank's relationship with his family was cool too.

Although I hate cliffy, I knew it going in with this one so on to "Hold Me if You Can"!

I've never read a Jordan Silver novel before, so I don't get the other reviewers gross about what is expected of said author, but I liked it. The main problem I had, is the length. It was too short, especially with the premise. It's already shown that Hank is a mover. Yes he thinks, but he is so faster than the rest, that the time it takes him to think, execute and succeed we are just catching on. Which is fine, but I am hoping for more depth with the continuation of this series.

With that being said, I do hope there is a continuation, or else this would have just been a really bad ending. Maybe the worse of all time.

I understood the simplicity of this story, even though I am a little stumped by the ending. That was way too fast for how they left hours before. There is also a million unresolved questions and issues. A lot of discrepancies as to character placements litter this novel. It's actually all a big blur of a mess and I don't see this all hashing out. Call me crazy, but how do you spend the better part of 10 years, hunting a man with his brothers, for all intent and purposes, apart of your team? Can you say major leaks o.O

Regardless, I like Hank. There is an air about him that's not your usual billionaire playboy, vigilante or criminal. He is intelligent and it reflects. It's not fleeting or assumed due to position and character. It's in his thoughts, his personality, his demeanor. You feel his presence and his mind is a play field of possibilities.

The cat and mouse game between himself and Cierra, unbeknownst to one, is plain and simple fun. To know a persons agenda before it is made public is an intriguing one. It allows you all sorts of play on both words and actions, and Hank takes advantage of this. It's safe to say he is my favorite character of this novel so far.

Not that I have anything against Cierra, but my loyalties don't run as deep as they do with Hank. Still, she is also a brilliant mind and profiler. I would love to have spent more time with her in the capacity of profiler as oppose to undercover agent.

A story that uses the mind more than it does brawn and beauty is mind kind of tale. These are the characteristics that drew me into this story and had me bypassing the length and speed. The moments that were slowed down for us, to get into their thoughts and watch the foreplay of sorts was wonderful!

There's not much else to say for this novel, as it is rather short and has yet to get into much where Hank and Cierra is concerned. We have met the lead characters and formulate our own profile and allegiance. It is now time to wait to get to the action and to see the repercussions of the secrets and lies being held and told respectively.

I am thrilled and excited for the continuation of this story. It's a lovely introduction and I just wish we could have gotten it all at once. Hank reminds me of Pierce Brosnan in 'The Thomas Crown Affair' and that is one of my all time favorite movies!

I'm seriously torn between giving this 2 or 3 stars. This doesn't even feel like a Jordan Silver book, which is ok but I'm telling you, after having read a book of hers where the first line in the book is the H telling the h "I'm here to F**k you", this is nothing like that. That being said, I don't hate it and I'm counting on the author to come through in book 2.

They don't have sex until the 95% mark and I think that's the 4th time they've been in company together.

The author is intentionally building the story because it ends on a cliffhanger. If you're going to read this I'll let you know the next book picks up exactly where this one end and is also on Kindle Unlimited though I haven't gotten that far in to it.

Young brilliant 23 year old profiler who's given a field assignment right out of Quantico (I know, I rolled my eyes too). The only thing we really know about her is her parents and brother were murdered and she went into foster care. Hence her interest in forensics.

The H is a shady criminal or is he? He's more like a Robin Hood who uses his wealth to help the helpless and punish the guilty. But someone high up in the FBI wants to take him down. He is sexy and has met the one for him in the h. I like him, I just don't get why the h is so great since she is really under-developed. She needed some moments to make me like her so I feel more like the jury is out for me as far as she is concerned.

Anyway, I am going to read the next one and I hope I'm able to give it a good rating and that the series as a whole is worthy.

This started out so strong! It had a little more substance than her books usually do and it's been awhile since I read anything beyond fluff. Don't get me wrong Hank was still an over the top demanding my-way-or-the-highway kinda guy and the sex scene was off the charts hot but Cierra was different from usual JS h's. She was, of course, beautiful and slightly naive but also smart and so driven. It will be interesting to see how these 2 are gonna work out.

This story had a very different vibe from every other Jordan Silver book I've read. It still features an alpha male but the pace was much slower than usual and there was very minimal heat. I still enjoyed the cat and mouse game played between Sierra and Hank. I liked the fact that Hank had the upper hand and I look forward to seeing how everything plays out.

Cliff hanger.

Love the author. Great book, but only three stars because there was no warning of a cliff hanger. I hate not knowing the true ending. When a book is a cliff hanger, I wait until all the books are available so I can complete the story. Wasn't able to do that with this one.

Loved it

Loved Hank! He's a bit like Batman without the costume, and the hang ups. A billionaire playboy, and successful business man, from a loving family. He works for a very old and very secret organization that works outside the law targeting the powerful and wealthy.
Cierra is a young and brilliant profiler with the FBI. Her first assignment is Hank Mancini. The man know as the career killer. He has been at the top of their most wanted list for a decade. They suspect he is a criminal master mind, but have no evidence to link him to anything.
Hank and Cierra meet, they have a strong attraction. Cierra is the first women Hank has ever been tempted to bring home to Sunday dinner with his family. Cierra's instincts tell her Hank is not the man the FBI think he is. He is definitely up to something, but not what the FBI thinks he is. Hank has staked his claim. She has to choose her just beginning career, and her secret agenda, or Hank.
Loved Cierra and Hank's story. A slow, sensual burn, of equally matched intellects, that ends in a little cliffhanger. Mancini Way is part of the same universe as SEAL Team 7, Lyon's Crew, Bikers Baby Girl, Man of Steel, Bad Boy, Rough Rider, and The Billionaire. Who's stories have connection's and crossovers.

Edits...Oh My God!

The story itself was great, huge fan. The editing is almost nonexistent though. I was stuck on one line for like two minutes just being ticked off. How can you “add credibility to your cred”?! Things like that, as well as missing punctuation and the usage of the word “worst” out of context, just had me smacking my head.

Again, the story was great and I will continue to read this author’s books because I simply love their story lines. However, I would suggest that the earlier books get a re-release after being edited properly.

HANK and CIERRA

Oh my! This book is amazing! I absolutely loved Hank and Cierra. They manage to create interest, intrigue, suspense, make you sit at the edge of the seat, the push, the pull, the subterfuge, the truth, and the lies, all blend in beautifully to create this book.

Hank Manicini is an enigma. Throughout the book, it’s unclear who Hank Mancini really is. A businessman? The mafia? A villain? Or a hero? Because he is ALL of them.

He is obscenely rich, with unlimited resources, spies, and connections, and with him at the head, controlling it all with just a push of a button.
But he is still a man, who cares deeply for his mother, loves his brother, even allows his sister-in-law to sass him. He maybe a villain, larger than life, but is the centre of his family.

He is still a man who goes above and beyond to eliminate the worst of our civilized society, knowing that behind power and money, especially in elite circles, a lot of the times there is just filth and corruption.
Men who use the same power to make themselves seem, pure and upstanding, eliminating the victims of their heinous crimes.

The FBI is relentlessly gunning to implicate Hank in any manner. Find some proof, some evidence to make sure he goes to prison, and they are credited with his arrest. They have gone so far as to even plant fake evidence against him.
No doubt to save their own ass, in the crimes they have committed for elite sick men.

Their newest recruit is young FBI agent, Cierra, who they have assigned to go undercover to trip up Hank Manicini.
I think the higher ups in the agency are unscrupulous, sexist, misogynistic sickos. They go as far as to subtly, indirectly suggest to her, that she may want to ‘do whatever its takes’ to trip Hank Mancini and get the evidence.

Cierra is the proverbial rising star at the FBI. A profiler, who doesn’t waiver, keeps to herself, concentrating only on her work. She doesn’t shy away from a challenge, even goes up against her own bosses to prove her case, typically being asked out and being harassed and razed when she declines.

A woman, quiet, secretive, with a lot of baggage and her own agendas in wanting to be in the FBI. Loosing her parents to violent crime, and the killer not being found bringing criminals to justice had become her passion, also at the same time, searching for her parents’ murderer.

Cierra is a woman who hates corruption, lawlessness, and lives by the book. And Hank is a man who excels in corruption, unlawful and writes his own rules. Fireworks are inevitable.

Hank takes one look at her picture and falls. He knows her game, but he will still play the game, figure out her vulnerabilities and use them. Whether he keeps her or crushes her is all dependant on if she betrays him in the end.

I felt the moment her gaze landed on me it was almost like an electrical charge, like touching a live wire. I caught the slight flush and her faltering step from beneath my lashes as well.
Game on.

Their back and forth, the games they start to play, moving around each other, trying to trap each other, while keeping their lust and appreciation of each other at bay, not to mention the sparks that threaten to drown them in a fire so hot, it will scorch them inside out.

The book is so well written, the anticipation, the built up the sexual tension is off-the charts!
Whew! I loved every bit of it!

Mancini’s feelings are a jumble of insanity. He wants revenge from her for thinking of playing with him, knowing full well that he has ruined agents careers for messing with him, and his intrigue and lust of her.
Wanting to claim her, fighting his emotion feelings and at the same time, hating her enough to ruin her for trying to play him.

Good to know she wasn’t exactly comfortable with the deception. I’m still going to make her pay for it though before I fuck her to within an inch of her life.

Things were not as cut and dry as they appeared to be and as much as Hank Mancini grated on me the wrong way there was no denying he made me feel. Boy did he make me feel.

Hank, wants her. He likes her. Takes her out on dates, creating more and more opportunities for her to get close to him, but it’s nothing to do with the assignment now.
He burns her, creates havoc on her mind. She is warring between her job and her feelings., and he is going to steal her away from the FBI.

I think my mind left my body. Clichéd, I know, but true all the same. He consumed me, there was no other word for it.

I’d be damned if I’d let the FBI take anything from me, especially her. No fucking way I haven’t fought them this hard for this long to let them rob me of what might be the most important thing to happen in my life.

Hank has decided he wants her in his life, so obviously he is going to get it. Cierra is going nowhere. He’s going to show her the real him, the man behind the façade, and she is going to be HIS.

Cierra’s turmoil at her feelings for Hank and her promise to herself and her parents, is heart-breaking, but I’m just waiting for Hank to tell her what he does and I think its going to be EPIC when she finds out.

I understood fully the depths of her turmoil when she didn’t say a word to stop me, just laid her head against me as if she knew nothing was going to stop me from taking her.

It’s a cliffhanger guys!

The FBI has it wrong when it comes to Mancini. they think that he is heading a sex trafficking ring and sends their best to bring him down. One of those is Cierra. When their paths cross sparks ignite. Cierra has her own issues of her own. While Hank is trying to figure out how to incorporate Cierra into his life while she is trying to figure out how to go about doing her job. This intriguing story will keep you glued to the pages!

Say what? Seriously. What? Had a lot of potential. But blah. He spends most of the time with thoughts like I am too intelligent and nobody in the FBI can get him. Trash talking them. And going on and on ad nauseum. You just want to slap him in the face. And her for being a highly intelligent special agent fell way too easily. Just wrong.

Left hanging

Not a fan of cliff hangers even when the next book is out.
I was curious about Mancini after reading Eden High books and the Squad. I like his personality and the fact he’s getting one over on the corrupt. I dislike evil in all forms, it hides in places most think as safe.

This is a surprise. I actually read a Jordan Silver book with no sex scenes.I never knew it was possible.
It was sweet and emotional in some twisted way.
Despite the crime-hunting element, the leading couple was likable and the background less than harsh and violent.

So so

I was really looking forward to reading this book but after I read it, it didn't reach my expectations. I am sorry but I thought it would be mindblowing but it was just so so.

I just hope that second Mancini's book will be good.

This was a good introduction to Hank and Cierra. I read about them during the Lyon series as well as Squad so it was good to read their story. It did drag at first but started to get better. Now to read their sequel next.

I really enjoyed this book. Hank Mancini appears to be one thing, but in reality he is something entirely different. Cierra Stone is a newly minted FBI profiler sent to catch him as a bad guy. This is a slow burn and they are oh so interesting to watch. A fabulous plot with hints throughout, good writing (there are some editing issues) and fantastic characters. Great story Jordan Silver!

Hank Mancini has a reputation of being elusive and a hardened criminal who is difficult to catch. The FBI has an idea now of how to catch him, put newly recruited Cierra Stone on him. The stunning beauty is smarter than most of the agents she works with, she has a gift and plans to use it on Hank. Hank is well aware of who Cierra is, his plan to keep her as his own.

Not everything is as it seems with this book. Hank is intriguing and great chemistry with Cierra. Definitely added some perspective into some other books I have read where these characters are present.
