Anytime a Keller book is released, I drop whatever I'm reading and dive into my favourite true crime. Once again, I was not disappointed.
This volume contains an excellent variety of case studies., and all of them were new to me. While each one is a tragedy, I was most impacted by the torture- murder of an innocent child. It is painfully evident that the watchdogs are sleeping, and helpless children are paying the price.

Some of the Sentences that were Handed Down were So Lenient!
In one case a man raped a six year old boy and spent a little over a year in prison. Then raped another young boy and spent a little over 4 years in prison. After several years, he raped and murdered another young boy. For his first crime he should have been sentenced to ten years with no early release. The second crime, he should have gotten a life sentence with a minimum parole after 30 years. If he had been sentenced properly, the third boy would be alive but thanks to a ridiculously liberal policy the third boy’s life was ended.

There are several really exceptional stories in this volume of the series. Keller is a fine tale-teller.
