Happy to have found this debut novel! What a beautiful read. Completely character driven, poetic and evocative. But not pretentious.
Rich in culture and atmospheric, I appreciate that it sets the tone with mentions of songs here and there to help you set it up in your mind as the reader.
Casual drops of pop culture to remind you of the moment in time that this takes place and that despite Victoria being Lebanese and living in Dubai, different roots, different background - she’s just a girl like the rest of us.
