Rate this book
A scorching brother’s best friend, surprise pregnancy standalone novel by romantic comedy author Gia Stevens…

He was a fling. A distraction. He wasn’t supposed to be my brother’s best friend.

My love life has always been a disaster, but finding out my boss—the one I’ve been secretly dating—is married? That’s a new low, even for me.

Before I return home with my tail tucked between my legs, I need a minute.

A wild, anonymous fling with a sexy stranger seemed like the perfect distraction. No complications, no strings.

What could possibly go wrong?

The moment I get back home, I’m hit with two big one, I’m pregnant, and two, the guy I hooked up with isn’t some random stranger.

He’s my brother’s best friend. Yeah. The one who’s looking at me like he doesn’t know whether to run for the hills or kiss me again.

Because just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, the universe said, ‘Here hold my beer.’

He’s. Not. The. Father.

Now, we’re both stuck trying to figure out what the hell we’re supposed to do about… well, everything.

I thought pregnancy would be hard, but telling my brother–Lachlan’s best friend–about us might be the biggest challenge yet.

I Wanna Be Your Lager is a brother’s best friend, surprise pregnancy (but he’s not the father), secret relationship romantic comedy. Be prepared to laugh-out-loud one minute and swoon the next in this steamy standalone romcom. The Brews and Flings series is a spin-off of the Harbor Highlands series. You’ll see a lot of familiar characters but also new ones. Each book in the Brews and Flings series is set in the same world, and delivers a guaranteed happily ever after.

I dove into this one without reading the synopsis and honestly, I totally recommend doing the same, if you like the thrill of unexpected surprises!  If you want to read the synopsis, it's on the second slide.

If you're looking for a romantic comedy that will keep you laughing and swooning, this standalone novel from the Brews and Flings series is the book for you.

Eve’s world is thrown into total chaos after a fling with her brother’s best friend, Lachlan—and the wild ride is just getting started! Bursting with laugh-out-loud moments, emotional depth and sizzling chemistry, this story delivers a whirlwind of hilarity, heart and heat.

Stevens nails the perfect mix of humor and heart with characters you can’t help but cheer for every step of the way. And that happily-ever-after? It’s the kind that’ll leave you grinning like a fool in the best way possible. 😊

This is a perfect pick if you're into the brother's best friend trope and fun, feel-good romances.

"She's the gasoline and I'm the matches. One strike and we combust."

I Wanna Be Your Lager is a spicy brother's best friend rom com featuring two strangers who after a fling or two, become lovers. But in secret. A surprising twist is about to shake their world, forcing them to make some life changing decisions.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own and given freely.*

As always, this author brings the heat. This time at the very start. These two have an instant connection, they jump right in, and things move quickly in a short span of time. Which includes some steamy sneaking around. Though there is a lot of sweetness in this story too. Lach especially, so so supportive. No hesitation. I feel like he's the calm to her feisty side that balances them so well. There is low angst/conflict, making this an easy read. With great found family vibes too. It wasn't a perfect read for me-mostly because brother's best friend rarely works for me and I've been such a moody reader lately- but there is much to enjoy here, especially if it's your jam!

Kat and Patrick really hit it off. BUT Eve and Lach were so perfect for each other.
This book had me laughing so hard and swooning (for Eve and for Lach) even harder.
Eve and her brother’s strained relationship did not stop her from coming to him for a safe place. The way she continually put herself out there, from coming to her brother, even working for him before he understood everything. Then letting Lach know where she stood on her feelings for him, even after everything she had just gone through with Pax. I may have swooned harder for her. Lach’s struggles to accept happiness and love were heartbreaking but when he finally put himself out there I WAS SO PROUD!

After the plane has to have an emergency landing, Eve and Lach end up sharing a hotel room with one-bed. This was my favorite scene. It's steamy but more than that it is hilarious! Their personalities really show how good they are for each other.

The writing style is fast paced, easy to follow, and attention grabbing! Each character, main and side, were thorough in their behaviors, except Jake. I thought his reactions to the relationship would be so different!

“Life has a way of throwing wrenches at your plan, but what defines you is how you come out on the other end.”
This statement truly describes both Eve and Lach.

The repeated mention of the baby not being Lach’s could have been toned down because all of his actions proved his standing in this child’s life.

This was my first book by Gia. I will be keeping an eye out for new releases while tapping into her backlist.

I did unlock a new fear while flying. Thanks 🤭

SHOUT OUT TO Torchlit and Gia Stevens for the cutest ARC acceptance and the amazing read! All opinions are my own!

I Wanna be your Lager is so cute and so fun! I absolutely loved reading Eve and Lach’s story!

The banter is top-tier, and the writing is immaculate and so relevant that it made the story even better for me. Eve is a photographer who is working as an assistant and also sleeping with her boss. When she finds out that she is the other woman, she hightails it out of there and right into Lach’s unsuspecting arms. Neither one wants a relationship, but when Eve finds out she is pregnant, not wanting a relationship is the last thing on their minds.

Lach comes from a sordid past, and when he meets Eve, he can’t get her out of his mind. As chance would have it, they meet again and are thrust into a hotel room together. They part ways, thinking they will never see each other again, until Lach meets his best friend’s sister….Eve.

While it did have some funny parts to it, I personally wouldn’t call this a rom-com. It is most definitely a best friend's sister trope; he falls first, and has a surprise/accidental pregnancy, but honestly, it all works so well together.

This was a super fast-paced, insta-attraction romance! I really liked how much humor was infused into the story, mainly thanks to Eve’s (fmc) personality and thoughts. She was quick-witted, blunt, honest, confident, and unashamedly herself.

As for Lach (mmc), I adored how down bad he was for Eve and how he pursued her from the beginning. His loyalty to his best friend (Jake, Eve’s brother) was good but damn I definitely was rolling my eyes every time he tried using that as an excuse to stop what him and Eve were doing. Like sir, you guys are perfect together!!! Just be together!! lol

Overall, this was a sweet and fun romance with tropes I love like small town, surprise baby (not the mmc’s), found family, and secret relationship.

My only wish is that the pregnancy reveal would have happened maybe a few chapters earlier so that period after could have been a bit more detailed with her and Jake coming together as a couple expecting a baby. Additionally, I love “not the dad” trope but I like when mmc fully claims the baby as his; I didn’t fully get that with the constant “he’s not the dad” mentions and Lach not getting to experience the birth.

Thank you to TorchLink PR and the author for the e-ARC! Review is my honest opinion.

This is the first book that I have read from the Brews & Flings Series & the first time that I’ve read anything by Ms. Gia Stevens. Im a huge fan now! This series has mashed my two favorite things together: visiting breweries & spicy romances. This book follows Eve & Lachlan’s romance. They are two broken souls sent to mend their hot mess ways. You cannot help but hope that they finally get it right!

Eve has just found out that her boyfriend / boss is married. And decides to leave him & quit her job at the same time. She finds some guy at a bar to make out with to hide from her now ex. Cue Lachlan, the hot guy from the bar….. also Eve’s brother’s best friend. Let the hot mess begin! I loved Eve’s tenacity with every obstacle thrown in her way. Lachlan is swoon worthy with his automatic ability to take care of Eve’s needs. I will definitely pick up “Love is Ale You Need” & “Make My Heart Malt” to continue with this series.

⭐ ARC Review ⭐

I Wanna Be Your Lager by Gia Stevens is a fun and steamy romance with all the romcom vibes! This brother’s best friend, fling-to-lovers story had me hooked, and I absolutely loved Lach and Eve together. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the way he calls her Sunflower melted my heart.

There’s a surprise pregnancy (he’s not the father), plenty of swoon-worthy moments, and, of course, the classic getting caught by the brother scene. Oh, and if you're wondering about the spice—there are eight steamy chapters for those who like to keep track!

I also really enjoyed how Gia Stevens set up for the next book in the epilogue. Overall, this was such an enjoyable read. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next book!

Huge thanks to TorchLitInk and Gia Stevens for letting me read this early before its release on April 14th! ✨

To be fair this may be my own ick and I’m fairly certain this is a great story. I just can’t get the start out of my head and I just can’t like the fmc. I don’t think time is going to change that.

I’ve read every single book Gia has published and really enjoy her writing, therefore I conclude this is a me issue. So rather than a negative review or poor rating I’m DNF’ing at 13% with no rating.

He was a fling. A distraction. He wasn’t supposed to be my brother’s best friend…

Happy pub day to I Wanna Be Your Lager!

Tropes:
-Romantic Comedy
-Brother’s Best Friend
-Fling to Lovers
-Surprise Pregnancy
-Steamy Romance
-No Third Act Breakup

I Want To Be Your Lager was funny, steamy and sweet. I am a sucker for brother’s best friend romance and the sneaking around made it extra fun! There were some parts that really slowed down but overall it was a fun read!

This is part of a series of interconnected stand alones but the only one I’ve read from the series and didn’t feel lost at all.

I Wanna Be Your Lager by Gia Stevens is book three in her Brews snd Flings Series. We are back in Harbor Highland for this romantic comedy between Everly ‘Eve’ Porter and her brother’s best friend Lachlan. This is a sweet and funny forbidden romance, which becomes a secret relationship and a surprise pregnancy. An entertaining read with good banter and steamy scenes.

Eve has been working as a photographer’s assistant and for the last six months been dating Pax, her boss. She really thought that her life was finally coming together until he admits he is married. Feeling a failure yet again, she quits him and her job. Her love life has always been a disaster but now she’ll have to admit defeat and go home to face her brother. Trying to escape Pax she slips into a wedding to hide and ends up kissing a stranger at the bar. Before going home a wild anonymous fling with a handsome stranger is a great distraction.

Lach had gone to Dessa and Garrett’s wedding with Trey and Rylee and while there was really taken with a woman who suddenly kissed him. This leads to a series of amusing situations between them and after the best time of their lives, they agree to go their separate ways. He has to accept he won’t ever see her again but can’t get her out of his mind and is surprised how she has turned his world upside down.

Lach has worked as a bartender at Porter’s for eight years, ever since Jake, the owner, took him in and helped him get his life back together. He gets the shock of his life when he walks into work to find his mystery woman behind the bar and then finds out she is his best friend’s sister. He struggles with the forced proximity at work then an incident leads to him moving into Jake’s house. He is pushed to his limits trying to do whats right by Jake but has never felt like this with anyone else.

Eve is impulsive, witty and sassy. She can’t believe her luck when her hook up turns out to be her brother’s best friend. Then just as she’s managing to convince Lach to a secret relationship, two lines add to the chaos that is her life. She is confident in what she wants and decides she wants Lach, but how is he going to react to this revelation when he’s not the father. Now she’s not only got to tell Jake about Lach but also tell him she’s pregnant.

Lach is a sweet and caring guy who has had a traumatic past, which is the main reason his bond is so strong with Jake. He worries what will be the consequences when Jake finds out because he can’t lose his ‘Porter’ family. Neither know what they have done to deserve the other but are going to try and make the most of it under the circumstances they find themselves in.

It was great seeing all the characters from previous books and how all the girls supported Eve. I thought Nora was hilarious and loved all the 10 Things I Hate About You references. It was lovely how Lach steps up to give Eve all she and her baby needs and gets to keep his sunflower. The epilogue sets up the next book which is about Nora and the shy, socially awkward but good guy Miles.

*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*

In true Gia Stevens fashion, this book has amazing banter, witty comebacks and one heck of a surprise waiting for them back in Harbor Highlands. Eve walks right up to a handsome stranger in the middle of a Florida wedding reception, that she’s crashing, and kisses him. What was supposed to make her now ex-boyfriend (and ex-boss) jealous, turns into a not-quite one night stand. No real names are exchanged.

A few days later, Eve has settled back in with her brother, Jake, at his home in Harbor Highlands where she grew up. Since she’s only there to figure out what’s next, Eve agrees to pitch in at Porter’s, Jake’s bar. She’s training with Nora on the floor when the door opens and the stranger from the wedding comes walking in the door. Not only is he confused that she’s there but wonders why she’s wearing one of the bar’s t-shirts.

This is where Eve finds out that the nameless stranger she hooked up with in Florida is Lachlan, Porter’s bartender and her brother’s best friend. Lach is floored to find the smexy, bold, daring woman from just a few nights ago is not only in his place of employment, but is his best friend’s sister.

Nothing can happen between them again with all this weighing against them… or could it? After trying to ignore one another while in the bar and not getting Jake’s suspicions up, Eve and Lach decide to go for it, but keep it on the down-low for now. Of course, everyone else who works in the bar knows there’s something going on.

Their chemistry steams up my glasses… and everything going along just peachy, when Eve’s bad luck catches up with her. She realizes that she’s pregnant and Lach isn’t the daddy. No, that would be her lying, two-time louse of an ex-boss, who she hoped never to have to speak to again. Let’s just say that when Eve tells Lach, he steps right up to support her. Now they really need to tell Jake what’s going on. But in true romcom fashion, Jake catches them, and boy is he angry.

What comes next is a lot of groveling, hard feelings, even tougher decision, the ex-boss/baby daddy who wants more than he deserves and is shameless, and a direction that Eve didn’t see her life going in. But it’s all for the best, right? You’re just going to have to read the book to find out.

This book gave me all the feels and left me wanting more… as Gia Stevens’ books normally do. I love that she set us up for the next book in The Brews and Flings series with a sneak peak with the last chapter being about Nora. She deserves her happily ever after.

“Let’s finish our drinks, go back to our room, and you can sour cream my burrito.”

Excuse me 🤣 This was my first Gia Stevens book, and I can't believe I haven't read the other Brews and Flings series. I'm already planning on reading them and can't wait to see how the other characters find their 'happy endings'.

From the beginning, I was invested with the FMC Eve. She just found out her boyfriend is married. Talk about walking into a landmine. Her whole world falls apart, and she runs back home to Harbor Highlands to crash with her brother Jake while trying to figure out what to do with her life. She doesn't have a job, doesn't have a car, and she can't exactly stay in Knoxville since she quit her job because her boss is a sleazeball.

Jake owns a bar and offers a job to Eve until she gets back on her feet. Little does she know, the guy she hooked up with 5 seconds after walking out on her ex is her brother’s best friend. Talk about kismet! Lach and Eve try to pretend they don't know one another and try to keep their feelings to themselves. But being in forced proximity tends to bring people together, no matter how much they fight it.

"My heart rate spikes as adrenaline shoots through my body. I jump away from Eve as if she’s a blazing inferno. Together, we are. She’s the gasoline, and I’m the matches. One strike, and we combust."

Lach has never really felt like this with anyone. Something about Eve just ignites a fire within, and he can't help but want to be with her. Although they feel for one another, it's a sticky situation because Lach is her brother’s best friend and he was told to watch out for her, not to go and sleep with her every chance they got.

"Her kisses are like a fresh breath of air, bringing me to life. Realization hits me—I hadn’t been living until I met her."

If you were in a similar situation, how would you handle it? Would you sneak around, or would you be upfront and honest beforehand? Do you think Lach and Eve will make it work?

This book, just as the previous ones was a steamy rom-com with a perfect mix of laugh out loud moments, a good teary eye and a good mix of really interesting and relatable characters enjoy.
Eve is an independent, badass and sassy woman who discovers her boyfriend is married to another woman and that she (omg) is the other woman. So she does the only possible thing.. she dumps him and doesn't look back. Then she meets Lach and in order to erase her bad memories has a one night stand.
Lach is a sweet and protective man, with a good sense of humor. He is amazed by the woman he meets and eve though he doesn't even knows her name he can't get her out of his head.
So imagine how amazed and blown away they are when they discover that they know someone in common: her brother and his best friend! But instead of making things easier, this little detail only makes it worse. How can he tell his best friend that he has a thing for his sister? How can she disapoint her brother once again? So.. with a little lack of courage they keep ther feelings a secret. And with time is even harder to come to terms with the truth. When Eve finds out she is pregnant she believes she lost even more... she believes she will lose him too. But what if she doesn't? What if he is all in and wants them both? How will her brother react to both news?
Well, they really could have avoided such complications if they could have told Jake the truth, but then we wouldn't have this plot and this amazing story written this way and it sure is worth it!
They both loved fiercely, but his words were always right there in the right moment!

" I love that you’re a hot mess because I want to see all of you. The good, the bad, and the hot mess. I want to be your rock during all those times. To help you. Comfort you. Cheer you on. Anything you need me to do. I’ll be a hot mess with you. I love you."

And... I really want to get to know Jake's story and see him unfold!

This was such a cute story! I Wanna Be Your Lager is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy with a bit of humor sprinkled into the story.

Eve and Lach are so cute together and all of the little things that they do for each other are so sweet! 🥰

Some of my favorite parts from "I Wanna Be Your Lager" were when Lach was reading Eve's romance novel and the two of them were acting out a particularly spicy scene from the book.

Another favorite was when they went on the road trip together and their date in chapter 29, the state that Lach planned for Eve (with a little help) is pretty much every girl's dream date. [I won't go into detail so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't had a chance to read the book yet.]

One other little detail of the story that made me happy was when Jake introduced Lach to his friend, Beckett Holloway, who used to be a hockey player. One of my favorite NHL players is Dylan Holloway who plays for my favorite team, the St. Louis Blues. 💙

Along with the dedication at the beginning of the book, which I absolutely loved, this is one of my favorite quotes from "I Wanna Be Your Lager"

“You can’t play me for a fool. Neither of you are Houdini hiding all the touching you’ve been doing tonight. Plus, every time you two lock eyes, I’m convinced you’re going to start dry humping each other on the bar. I’m slightly jealous.”

I Wanna Be Your Lager was the second book of Gia's "Brews and Flings" series that I have read and I enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than Make My Heart Malt and I Can Not wait for the next book in the series! ❤️

I have read all the books in this series and this one did not disappoint.

Eve is the sister of Jake (bar owner who we have met in previous books). Eve is the younger sister who Jake worries about and is extremely protective of. When Eve finds out her boss and boyfriend is actually married she flees to her brother. On the way she has several funny encounters with Lachlan that ultimately results in a one night stand. When Eve shows up to the bar and discovers Lachlan works there AND is her brother’s best friend she doesn’t see a problem, but Lachlan does and tries, in vain, to shut down any relationship. But when Eve discovers she is pregnant with her ex’s baby, Lachlan steps up in a big way but they struggle with how to tell Jake.

I loved so much about this book. Eve is just the right mix of impulsive and hilarious to pull stoic Lachlan out of his shell. They really are the perfect pair. Lachlan is dealing with his fear of losing his best friend who is really more like family, his difficult past and childhood trauma, and struggling work out his deep feelings for Eve. I love the way Lachlan cares for Eve and doesn’t even hesitate to stick by her even knowing this child is not his. This book has some funny and some really sweet moments. I love the found family component that all the books in this series have and each installment keeps building on the bonds these friends share. Another great story in the Brews and Flings Series.

Thank you to author Gia Stevens for an opportunity to voluntarily read and review this book.

If you need a little sweet, non-stop hilarious, top-notch witty banter, swoony, feel good, spicy, sunshine on a cloudy day, then this is a book for you!

Lach and Eve together are fire, and no matter what situation they find themselves in, it can't be smoldered. From the moment they met to everything in between (and there is SO much in between), it just shows how they were destined to be together. Things get messy real quick for them, so of course, the odds are stacked against them. It's easy to root for a couple who so obviously belong together if they can heal from their past and move on to their future. Both have been dealt an ugly hand at one point or another, give them grace, they will get there, and it will be so worth the wait.

All the stars, Gia!! Each book you write gets better and better. My cheeks may hurt from all the laughing, but it's the best feeling in the world to know that when life throws you lemons in reality, you have just the right book on your shelf to cozy up with, and know that you will feel so much better by the end.

Thank you, Gia Stevens, for allowing me to beta read this incredible story for you. It's an honor to be trusted with such a monumental task. I don't take it for granted for a second.

Gia Stevens is one of those authors who will always get a laugh and a sigh from me. Her books are always filled with an equal blend of banter and steam that keep me reading long after I tell myself to close the Kindle. She way of drawing me in with just the right amount of drama and giving me all the feels will always challenge me to read tropes that are not my go tos. This book has one of her sassiest FMCs and character conflicts that make me fall in love with her characters, and grind my teeth with Eve's ex, enauring that I really enjoy the ups and downs of and Lachlan relationship. Although I am not usually an instalove accidental or pregnancy reader, Eve and Lachlan are an unstoppable pair whose story i could not wait to finish. Not to mention that, when you bring me back to Harbor Highlands for a visit I know it will feel like a return home as I check in with friends from the earlier books. Eve is a wonderfully sassy and driven character that is the person I would want to be friends with and Lachlan grows into being the kind of man that will tug at your heart as he grows into himself and then leave you swooning at the man he becomes. I don't know how Gia keeps doing it, but each book pulls me deeper into the Harbor Highlands world and if I could move their I would!

Steamy scenes, forbidden romance between Eve and her brothers best friend, unplanned pregnancy, so much sweet romance its so cute.
This book has everything in it. Spicy scenes, romance to make your heart beat faster, unplanned pregnancy and a lot more.

Eve has been working as an assistant in a photography job and six months ago started seeing her boss. Things went extremely wrong in that department in more ways than one. She quits her job and moves across the country to live with her older brother after meeting a random guy to try and give her boss the hint that she was done. Upon moving back with her brother she starts working for him at the bar only to run into the 'random' guy from the other week. It turns out it is her brothers best friend Lach. Things develop between them but they struggle to find a way to break the news to her brother without upsetting him.

The amount of ups and downs in this book is great. What I also love about this book is the MMC isn't a rich billionaire. He is just a regular guy who is going about his life the best he can considering how he was brought up.
I honestly couldn't put this book down once I started reading it I was hooked. Many late nights just reading until I fell asleep with my kindle in my hand.

* Brother’s best friend
* One-night Stand turned fling
* Surprise pregnancy
* Secret relationship
* Small town
* Found Family

After finding out that her secret boyfriend/boss is married, Eve decides she needs a break and maybe new life. She decides to go visit her brother that still leaves in their hometown.
On her way there she meets this handsome stranger and has a wild one night stand (kind of 😉).
Once she gets home, she discovers 2 things:
1. The handsome stranger is not so random as it turns out this guy is her brother’s best friend
2. And 2 she’s preggo.

And if you thought this was all, turns out his not the father. Now she’s jobless, “boyfriendless”, pregnant and has not idea what she should do.

This is a funny, sexy, romantic comedy. The characters are super fun and relatable.
This is the 3rd book out of 4, but you can definitely read it as a standalone. I haven’t read the others and I loved this one. You get to see the characters from the first and second book, but you don’t get major spoilers of them. I’ll definitely check those 2 out.

I’d definitely recommend this book if you’re looking for a fun read. It’s easy to read, you might read it in one sitting as did I.

Lach is a bit intense, frustrating at times, but the perfect book boyfriend, meanwhile Eve is fun loving, a bit crazy, less mature out of the 2 of them. But you get to see her change once she has to deal with everything happening to her.

I loved them together. They made the perfect complement and had the best chemistry and connection.

I'm officially in love with Lach. Ms. Stevens delivers an entertaining, funny, brother's best friend romance. I Wanna Be Your Lager will have you smiling at the turn of every page with witty banter, swoon-worthy moments and characters who you want in your circle of friends. Add in the steamy scenes between Lach and Eve and you have a must-read book.
Eve, a photographer who has just had her love life turned upside down, and Lachlan, who has a heartbreaking past, are two people who meet but have no idea who each other is. Next thing they come face to face at her brother's bar and this is where things get interesting. Should Lach break the bro code? Can he resist the woman who has been invading his heart and head? Will Eve's flirting and sexual touches have him breaking all the rules? When Eve receives news that gives her world a shake, what will happen when she tells Lach?
I loved this story. The found family, the love that Lach has for Eve, and the way that no matter what happens he is one hundred percent with Eve and nothing will ever change that is what makes this one a feel good story.

Wow I thought the previous books where brilliant, but this is just perfect 👌. Gia has given us a superb story with a mix of just about everything thrown into it. Eve knows going back to her brother's is proof she's still failing at life. Everything she does never goes how she expects it too, especially finding out your boss/boyfriend is already married. Then a chance meeting and one night only not exchanging real names stand proves to just make everything worse. Lachlan never expected to find the perfect woman and then for her to disappear. But going back to the bar working with his best friend would help him forget plus not knowing her real name and never seeing her again meant he'd get over it. The his best friend walks in with his sister. No she can't be his sister. What's he doing working in my brothers bar. This story just keeps giving between the quirky staff and hidden secrets can this really end any other way than in tears. Will Eve's past fall headlong into her present. Will Lach risk his friendship. I just didn't want this story to end i loved both characters and the banter between them is just perfect. I can't wait to read the next book in this great series.

✨I received this book as an ARC for free in exchange for an honest review✨

🖤 Brother’s Best Friend
🖤 Fling To Lovers
🖤 Surprise Pregnancy
🖤 No Third Act Breakup

Heartwarming, fun and swoon-worthy moments with a romcom vibe!

Lach and Eve had a weekend fling with no personal information exchanged. Including their real names, they went by Kat and Patrick (10 things I hate about your reference). Days later Eve walks into her brother’s bar and Lach is standing there working behind the bar who happens to be her brother’s best friend.

Lach and Eve try to stay away from each other but they can’t fight their connection and attraction towards each other. She calms him and makes him feel settled while he makes her feel safe. Their secret romance gets another surprise when she realizes she is pregnant with her ex’s baby. With so many emotions running high, Lach does the unexpected and steps in as the baby's father.

Thank you to the Author Gia Stevens & Torch Link for the ARC!

Eve, a photographer's assistant, is having an affair with her boss, but when she discovers she's the other woman, she flees and finds solace in Lach's arms. Although neither of them wants a relationship, Eve's unexpected pregnancy forces them to reconsider.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’ll definitely be checking out her other works!

I knew this book included the accidental pregnancy trope, which isn't my favorite, but the story sounded too compelling to pass up.

I absolutely adore the witty banter between these Eve and Lachlan! Eve is hilarious with her ridiculous mouth and lovable sass. Lachlan has completely won me over! He transformed from a man who kept people at arm's length to a fully committed boyfriend and father figure overnight!

I’m thrilled that she ended the book with a sneak peek of the next installment in The Brews and Flings series, revealing that the last chapter will focus on Nora.

I finished this book so fast because it was that addicting!!! The Spice had me drooling, the characters had me laughing, especially our sassy FMC Eve, and the story line made it so I couldn’t put it down! Did I mention this is Brothers Best Friend Trope?!? Lach is the MMC (Jake, Eves brothers BFF) and he is dreamy ! He’s got a sensitive caring side and a filthy mouth behind closed doors. Eve is your messy but strong willed FMC who finds herself in a sticky situation but with Lach by her side, anything is possible. They are the most adorable couple and so so funny. it kind of gave me The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren vibes with the back and forth comedic humor. If you love a good dramatic Rom-Com this book is 100% for you! Release day is April 14th!!! ALSO, this is a series, so you get to see the side characters as well! This is book 3 of 4 but if you are like me and read this book first there is no spoilers about the previous books which I like personally.

This small town and best friends sister romance had me from the first page.

Eve has returned to her small hometown after discovering that her boyfriend/ boss is actually married.
Before long, she discovers that the man that she had an "interaction " with is Lach, her brothers best friend.

What follows is a really good, steamy romance where everyone knows about Eve and Lach's relationship, apart from her brother.
The banter between Eve and Lach is 👌 and the spice is spicing.

I have since discovered that this is a series of books, but if, like me, you'll haven't read any of the others, don't worry. This standalone is so well written that it certainly doesn't spoil the enjoyment. Although if you're anything like me, you'll be adding the author's other works to your TBR.
Special shout out to the brilliant chapter titles.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free and am voluntarily leaving these opinions.
Many thanks to TorchLitInk for providing a copy of the book.

Eve finds out she is the other person in her relationship and that her boyfriend/boss is married. When she finds out she leaves the hotel, but Pax follows and he sneaks into a bar and starts flirting with a new man to try to get Pax to go away. Eve starts kissing the stranger and things start to get hot and heavy. Eve ends up going back to the stranger's hotel room, but before anything can happen she sneaks out of the hotel room.

They cross paths again at the airport the next day and when flight plans change they have to share a hotel room and share a bed and things pick up where they left off.

The next morning they leave each other, never exchanging names or phone numbers.

It all goes sideways when it turns out the stranger is none other than Lach, her brother's best friend.

You will have to read this amazing book to learn what else happens and get ready to fall in love with Eve and Lach!

I plan to read more from Gia Stevens in the near future!

Wow! I couldn't get enough of this book!
When Eve and Lach met it was only supposed to be a one time encounter but to find out he was her brother's best friend who now all work together! The intensity of their relationship grows as they try to fight their feelings and hid what happened from Eve's brother but when he entrusts his best friend Lach to look out for his sister little does he know he's pushing them even closer as they have to spend time together. As their relationship begins to flourish will it all come to an end when Eve finds out she's pregnant? And her brother is still in the dark about her relationship with his best friend!
The secrecy and banter is so entertaining even when they nearly get caught several times. All the side characters are so well developed too adding a found family feel to the story with them all working so closely at porters. I was thrilled to find out there are more books in this series so I can read about the side characters in this book too!
