Exceptionally great wisdom, from a man who truly understood life and tried it all out. Solomon is the very likely writer, and he lays out very explicitly and relentlessly how every single part of life and all activities are in the end meaningless, empty, and pointless. How every endeavor, every achievement, every joy is only fleeting and in the end hollow. Ending it all, the author shows how only loving, worshiping, and pleasing God matters and has real consequence.
