Irina can battle some of my fav fmc’s for baddass-ery. I love a good kick ass girl who takes no shit but also gets mushy for her men.
And these men?! Woooo these men. They’re dark. They have depth. They both have baggage.
Dante is the fun one. A little crazy, a little bit cute. And Aleksei? Dark. Mysterious. Looming. But grab him by the neck and his eyes go all glassy and subby for you? I love those typa men.
AND PERCYYYY my fav character. Bonus chapter for the cat pls.

Just finished the 4th book in the Moretti Chronicles by CJ Lucci, and WOW what a ride! I actually read this one while it was being written, but reading the final version with all the edits and changes? Absolutely chef's kiss. It was my favorite in the series so far!
This book had EVERYTHING: a strong, badass FMC, a mafia king who wasn’t afraid to show emotions (yes please), and our other MMC quiet, deadly, yet somehow so gentle my literal lover boy. The dynamic between them was everything I hoped for and more.
The yearning between the two characters?? SOOO good. The slow burn tension, the back-and-forth... and when they finally caved in? I was screaming. It was perfect.
The plot? So good. The writing? Impeccable. The smut?? EXCUSE ME jaw on the FLOOR. Perfect pacing, and Lucci finally gave us that double trouble spicy scene we’ve all been craving and I devoured it.
I’m beyond excited to dive into the final book, and fingers crossed we get a second-gen continuation because I am NOT ready to leave this world behind.

OKAY, YES!!!!! I literally picked this book up and could not put it down!!!! It gave me tension, spice, action, ALL THE FEELS, and so so many tender moments. Irina, Aleksei, and Dante were all so dreamy and just perfect.
Irina, so strong and confident but also so insecure in love and affection. Same with Aleksei, only he’s shown his love the only way he’s known how - through protection. And then there’s Dante, a king among men - so sure in his own skin and of his own emotions and so in tune with those around him! Ugh, I could not get enough of these three together!!!
And the TWISTS - the plot was honestly so good, too. It kept me hooked and even with SO many names/characters I knew what was going on every step of the way - CJ did such a great job!!!
I had the best time with this - 5 stars!!! I need to go read the other Moretti books now, I fear.

Irina, Dante and Aleksei gave everything in this book. From the strength, the passion, to showing their weaknesses and overcoming it all together EVEN through their hatred.
Irina and Aleksei being step siblings gave just the right amount of taboo and adding in their enemy just gave the angst and longing an even better twist.
Reading their lives go from three to one was a treat.
The twist with Dante at the end broke my heart into pieces. Not only for what he learned but also how this important person to him destroyed him in return.
I already spoke volumes about this book to my friends and they all cannot wait to read it too.

This book wasn’t bad at all, but it just felt like it was missing something. I just didn’t really see a clear reason why they all loved each other. I did really like Irina’s character (such a girlboss). I also- and I usually never say this- think they could’ve spent more time on Dante being kidnapped by his brother and then his subsequent struggles with withdrawal. I thought that plot line was really interesting and added some real stakes to the plot there at the end.
Fun MMF, though!

I love a writer who can give you a story with a great plot, a definite feeling of Who done it and make you feel for the characters.
With this book we get a damaged tough as nails heroine, an even more damaged even tougher stephbrother and an arranged husband who teaches them both how to allow themselves to feel and love again. All this happens while you are trying to figure out who is/are behind 2 plots running against both families.
Off course the spice is there (and oh boy is it there!), but it does not lead you away from thr story and the characters.

Hi and welcome to my new favorite mafia romance and mafia romance author. In Hateful Vows we are following stepsiblings, Irina & Aleksei and unfortunately due to Aleksei’s dad they have been forced to hate each other in order to keep the other safe. That has never stopped Aleksei’s dad from being a wildly abusive person especially towards Aleksei. That poor man has been through so much pain and trauma that it makes my heart break. Anyways when Aleksei finds out his father is about to enter into a new side business (human trafficking) and he has essentially sold off Irina to his new business partner, Aleksei becomes desperate to save and keep safe the woman he has loved for years but could never have. So he confront the new Italian don Dante with an offer: marry Irina, ensure her safety, and in return Aleksei will marry one of Dante’s cousins. Oh and Aleksei also needs help killing his father and taking his place as head of the Russian mafia. Of course there’s other mafia drama happening but the main focus is the romance between our 3 MCs.
This book had me SWEATING babes. The slight forbidden nature of it all mixed with Dante orchestrating it all like some kind of evil genius horny puppet master had me in such a thrall that I never wanted to leave. This really just makes me wanna go back and read her other mafia romances because holy crap I am obsessed. If you love tension, a bit of angst, a woman not afraid to speak her mind and get violent, filthy dirty talk, an adorable cat named Perceval (who gets all the best treats from Dante) and two MMCs who literally worship everything about the FMC then Hateful Vows should already be downloaded onto your kindle.

Postavy sú naozaj skvelo napísané, aj ich vývoj a celý dej je celkom realistický (aspoň tak moc, ako mafiánske filmy). Dej ubieha rýchlo, dialógy sú plynulé a detailné sexuálne scény často vyplývajú zo situácie.
Hateful Vows je super letné čítanie - oddychovka, ak radi oddychujete pri dark romancách. Naozaj vám túto knihu odporúčam a plánujem si prečítať aj ostatné autorkine knihy, lebo mám také tušenie, že sa mi budú páčiť. (Recenziu na Forbidden Fruit nájdete na mojom profile.)

Dante, Irina and Aleksei’s story was something I didn’t even know I needed- I am absolutely OBSESSED 👏🏼
Firstly C.J. Lucci was not kidding when she says one man praises while the other degrades because this was the perfect combination 😮💨
I adored Irina. She is a feisty FMC and a woman who is not to be trifled with, and honestly I love that in a mafia romance where the woman bites back🤭
Dante, he is a man who knows exactly what he wants. I mean he marries Irina and then is like I know you want your step brother but I also want him so that’s going to happen. He is a “when” not an “if” man as he was determined to have them both👏🏼
Aleksei, my sweet Aleksei, he protected Irina in every way he could and while at first he did his very best to resist both he soon found out that it was inevitable.
Now the Irina and Dante moments were hot, I mean she considered him an enemy for quite a long time but the two of them together were fireworks. But when you add Aleksei to that mix- it was absolutely off the charts🤭 Their dynamic was just impeccable ✨
While the story is a standalone I liked that we saw some familiar faces from the Moretti Chronicles Series🤭 overall I absolutely loved this book. The trio must work together to find out who was involved in Dante’s father’s untimely passing, while also fighting remove Misha Petrov who wanted Irina for himself.

Irina, Aleksei, and Dante... my lord. What a ride. What a perfect fit for each other.
Arranged marriage is one of my favorite tropes, and I love that this one is written very differently from Isle of Seduction, which has the same trope. CJ is a master at writing men who WANT their wife, and Dante is no different there. And what Dante wants, Dante gets. The thing is, he doesn't just want his wife... he also wants her stepbrother. Not just for himself, though...
Let's just say that the spice is spicin' in this one.
CJ Lucci is a master at writing broken, unloved characters and then pairing them up with such solid, loving partners that they have no choice but to let that love heal (part of) them. These three do exactly that for each other. 5⭐️ for the romance part of the story.
The only thing that would have made this book better was if the ending would have been a little less rushed. There's a murder mystery side to this story where the antagonist turns out to be someone you do NOT expect, which is incredibly painful for one of the MCs. But then once this is revealed, everything is dealt with relatively quickly and I feel like the book would have benefitted from a little more time and attention for how the MCs dealt with this.
Other than that, I had a lot of fun with this one. But as always, please check your trigger warnings!

Firstly, I wanted to start with the wonderful piano piece selection. The inclusion of Gymnopédies by Satie, The Sick Doll and the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky really set the tone beautifully and added an elegant atmosphere to the story.
I also loved the addition of pets in the story. The FMC’s cat 🐈⬛ was such a great touch, perfectly fitting her character and adding depth through her interactions with the humans she lived with. Partner’s cat bribery with food to win affection felt so authentic and real. I absolutely loved it 😍🤭
The story itself was very engaging and fast paced. It was hard to put down, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. Normally, I do not pick up much MMF, but the dynamic here worked so well for me and was surprisingly delightful. Dante’s awareness of the unspoken things between Irina and Aleksei was especially well done and added so much emotional depth.
And that plot twist? Absolute 💥
I am already looking forward to the next book and cannot wait to see what happens next!

Arranged marriages are formed to unite the Russian & Italian families. She is a bad ass with absolutely no fucks given, ever. Dante is a ruthless leader, with a big heart, wit, charm & a filthy mouth. Aleksei has a bi-awakening, is broody, moody & and has been in love with his step sister since she was 15.
The plot is a ride through blood, deception, betrayal and three way obsession. It’s utterly delicious! A late night meal leads to two of them on their knees & leaves all three of them wet & dripping.Its a sausage fest with a symphony of skin slapping. I mean it was a panty dropper read! I have read a ton of mafia romance & this was top tier! I didn’t think anyone would top Kirrill from Blood of My Monster but Dante definitely fills the book boyfriend category! 🤤 This book is available on August 28th on KU, ADD IT NOW! 143 highlights. That’s how much I adore this book! My first read from this author and I was blown away by the these characters and my immediate devotion to them. Irina is an amazing woman who was a strong yet broken character and I simply adore her. Her slow progression into expressing love and emotion was so powerful! Dante and Aleksei were FIRE together and I loved every second they were present.
What a refreshing change of pace this book was! The tenderness between all three character while also being able to handle their own was so well written. I never once felt as if the characters weren’t being their true selves.
The plot twist HAD ME SCREAMING!
I will definitely be reading more works from this author!!

Irina is EXACTLY the kind of FMC I love. A baddie who will bow to no man and loves so hard.
Aleksei loves hard in his own right by protecting Irina even though they have no blood relationship.
Dante is a man who wants nothing more than to have the 2 people he’s obsessed with be apart of his life.
I loved how easy things fell into place with Dante’s boldness. He brought both Irina and Aleksei out of their hard shells so they could make room for the love they deserved.
Honestly my favorite part of this book was when Dante’s mom clocked their dynamic so fast😂 I was hollering!
This book had me gasping and I couldn’t stop reading!

Absolutely perfect!
Dante really gave Irina everything she wanted, including her stepbrother!!!! Their connection and how they complement each other was amazing. Irina and Aleksei were always in control of their emotions, while Dante was the opposite, not cowardly hiding his feelings, he was comfortable with what he felt and who he loved.
Very well written. I was scared because it’s British-English, but it’s so easy to read that you don’t see the difference.
It’s the first book I have read from the author and having the privilege to be an arc reader was great!

Andddd C.J.Lucci has done it again, given us FANTASTIC characters, beautiful story and so much smut I can die happy.
Irina, Dante and Aleksei are amazing, the Stone faced, hard as hell Russians were always a couple I wanted to see, but pairing them the the one man who can tame them both *chefs kiss* 😘
The twists and turns this book had gave me whiplash, I was so sure I knew who the bad guy was, and damn it I was so wrong!!

Irina, Aleksei, and Dante fit so perfectly together. Irina and Aleksei had a difficult childhood due to his father, the pakhan, but Aleksei made sure Irina was spared from most of his father's wrath. Dante's father is the head of the Italian Mafia.

I wanted to keep READING!!! I read this in one sitting, I litterly couldn’t put it down!! It’s a MMF mafia romance and I absolutely ate it up! I will be buying a physical copy of this as soon as it gets released! I grew to love these characters and I could not recommend this book enough!

Irina was insufferable. Alexei fucking around because he couldnt admit his feelings for her. Irina fucking around in retaliation. Then came in Dante, fucking them both to glue everything together. Just no. Silly characters playing mafia. The mafia plot and everything happening to Dante was ridiculous.
