Apna Time Aayega is a powerful and moving collection of stories that left a lasting impression on me. The voices in this book feel real and unfiltered, which makes the reading experience all the more meaningful. It’s not just a collection of stories, but a window into lives and dreams that often go unheard.

Some of the stories that really stood out for me were Tulasi, Lakshmi, and Aniket. Each of them brought something unique, whether it was emotion, perspective, or just the way the story was told. I found myself thinking about them even after I had finished reading.

Overall, this is a great initiative. It’s inspiring to see young people from different backgrounds being given the space to express themselves. This book deserves to be read and shared widely.

"Apna Time Aayega" transcends the boundaries of a mere anthology; it stands as a vibrant and profoundly resonant testament to the indomitable spirit and fervent aspirations of Mumbai's often-marginalized youth residing in its sprawling slum communities. This collection of narratives bravely illuminates a reality that frequently remains veiled beneath the city's gleaming facade of economic prowess. Through the unfiltered and authentic voices of these young individuals, the book offers a compelling and necessary counterpoint to the dominant narrative, revealing a world brimming with untapped potential and an unwavering desire for a brighter tomorrow.

Each story pulsates with an infectious energy, a palpable hunger to actively participate in India's burgeoning growth. These are not chronicles of resignation, but rather inspiring accounts of individuals who steadfastly refuse to be defined or constrained by their circumstances. Their dreams, while perhaps distinct from those nurtured in more privileged enclaves, possess an equal measure of significance and compelling power. They articulate aspirations for education, for meaningful opportunities, and for the fundamental chance to contribute and flourish within their society.

To engage with "Apna Time Aayega" is to embark on an eye-opening and deeply humanizing journey. It forges an intimate connection with the individuals behind the stark statistics, allowing their unique perspectives and inherent resilience to radiate with remarkable clarity. This book leaves an indelible mark, fostering a renewed sense of optimism and a profound admiration for the unyielding human spirit that thrives even amidst formidable challenges. It serves as an essential read for anyone seeking a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of Mumbai's multifaceted reality and the boundless potential that lies within its diverse and dynamic populace.

Aaditya Sengupta Dhar’s Apna Time Aayega is a fervent, kaleidoscopic tapestry of Mumbai’s oft-ignored subterranean spirit. This compendium of grassroots narratives orchestrates a symphony of human resilience, anchored in the city’s underbelly yet aspiring with undaunted fervor towards luminous zeniths. The tales, told with unvarnished candor by youth dwelling in the labyrinthine chawls and precarious slums, reverberate with a kind of Sisyphean tenacity that is both disquieting and galvanizing.

What distinguishes this anthology from pedestrian social commentaries is Dhar’s deft editorial acumen — he curates voices without adulterating them, eschewing condescension in favour of authentic verisimilitude. The diction of the narrators remains uncorrupted, preserving the vernacular cadences and emotional veracity that elevate these stories beyond mere sociological artifacts into the realm of lived experience.

Each account pulsates with an irrepressible vitality, oscillating between pathos and triumph. The juxtaposition of adversity against aspirational audacity generates an almost mythopoeic quality — one is reminded of the ancient epics, except these heroes wield pen drives and work shifts instead of swords and shields. Dhar’s underlying ethos, a sublime belief in latent potentiality, suffuses the collection with an ineffable optimism that neither romanticizes poverty nor trivializes aspiration.

Stylistically, the prose is luminous without being ostentatious, incisive without veering into didacticism. Dhar has manifested a literary conduit through which the silenced are not merely heard, but venerated.

In sum, Apna Time Aayega is not just a literary artifact but a sociocultural clarion call — a testimony to ambition thriving in inhospitable soil. It is an indispensable opus for anyone seeking to comprehend the indomitable undercurrent that is Mumbai’s most potent and oft-overlooked resource: its youth.

// I will make it happen, no matter what.

✨ In between fiction and non-fiction, such books exist. 'Apna time aayega' is a book which is a collection of journeys of youth in India (mainly Mumbai). Before picking this book, I was a bit skeptical but then I started reading it and right after reading 1-2 stories, I was highly motivated and inspired.

✨ The beauty of this book lies in the rawness of the writing. Each writer has written his/her journey without any exaggeration or fake scenarios. Each story is right from the grass. Some stories are even written in a way which encouraged me to take the first step.

✨ Each story is a journey of students, what they want in life, what they wanna become, how they achieve their dreams and what were the obstacles that they faced. The beauty of this book is, it doesn't tell you what to do or how to do it's simply a journey - Different people, different journey yet the one thing which was common was to inspire, motivate and to dream big.

✨ After finishing each story, different emotions were aroused in me. The urge to take that first step. The feeling of 'where there is a will, there is a way'. The belief that 'Everything you do, counts'. The concept 'Dream big' became more firm.

✨ A must read for everyone. The readers who feel lost or unknown of their journeys. The ones who feel demotivated and inspired, this book will make you feel that you can do anything and everything if there is hardwork.

☺️ P.S. This book wouldn't had happen without aadityasenguptadhar and udaan_india_foundation . Dear Udaan, thank you for making so many heroes and being there for people when they need it the most. Someday I wish to work with you making an impact in many people's lives.

"Apna Time Aayega" is a fascinating collection of inspirational stories. The book is based on real life stories of young people growing up in underprivileged communities in Mumbai. Those who live in slums even in a city like Mumbai. It highlights the true events of their lives and how they fight the hardships of their lives and move forward. The Udaan group that supports all these young people in their hardships does not let them give up.

The book resonates deeply with the themes of hope and perseverance that run throughout the narratives. The stories within these pages are not only accounts of individual success, but also a reflection of the collective spirit of the young people who are making a difference in their communities.

The story of Aryan who has been part of a rich family since childhood. And after some time the condition of his family deteriorates and he is left with nothing, even then he does not give up and fights the difficulties and moves forward.

A story of Santoshi who has been with Udaan since childhood and has been associated with Udaan for 20 years. With the help of Udaan, she fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher.

By sharing these stories, the book not only inspires but also educates readers about the challenges and triumphs faced by young people in Mumbai, ensuring that the stories are not only inspirational, but also based on a deep understanding of the social context.

This book is perfect for readers who enjoy inspiring stories, are interested in social change, or are looking for a new perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing young people in urban India.

Apna Time Aayega: Inspiring Stories of Mumbai's Grassroots Youth
By Aaditya Sengupta Dhar

Apna Time Aayega is a deeply moving and inspiring collection of real-life stories from young people growing up in the underserved communities of Mumbai. Curated by 16-year-old Aaditya Sengupta Dhar, the book is both a literary and social impact initiative under Project Kahaani. It captures the raw, heartfelt voices of youth who have battled adversity and emerged with dreams intact and spirits unbroken. The collaboration with Udaan India Foundation brings authenticity and emotional depth, showing how access to education can transform lives. Aaditya’s empathetic storytelling allows each young narrator to shine, celebrating resilience, ambition, and hope.

One of the most powerful parts is the final section, where we read the open letters of youth like Dhananjay, who rose from a construction site in Powai to become a career counsellor, and his siblings achieved remarkable success. His story is emblematic of the book’s core message: that circumstances do not define destiny. These letters are moving proclamations of courage, conviction, and the undying belief that their time will come. These stories are not just narratives – they are blueprints of dreams realized against all odds. They uplift, challenge perceptions, and call readers to believe in the transformative power of opportunity. A must-read for anyone seeking inspiration and a glimpse of tomorrow’s changemakers.

"Apna Time Aayega" offers an illuminating exploration of the double-edged landscape of Mumbai, a city defined by stark contrasts. While the world knows Mumbai🌇 as a hub of wealth and opportunities, this book shines a light☀️ on the lives of those who call its slums home, demonstrating that dreams often flourish in the most unexpected places.

This collection of inspiring stories, narrated in the youths' own words, highlights the transformative power of guidance and support, primarily from the Udaan India Foundation. Each story serves as a testament to the resilience and determination of the protagonists, who, despite facing formidable challenges, continue to strive for a better future.

Among the inspiring stories is that of Rupa, whose journey underscores the transformative power of belief and support. Rajan’s tale of juggling two jobs while pursuing his education to become an Oracle consultant is a remarkable example of perseverance. Aniket, the son of an auto rickshaw driver, illustrates the impact of guidance, as he learns to navigate job interviews and secure employment with Udaan’s help.

These personal accounts resonate with hope and determination, reinforcing the notion that success is attainable regardless of one’s beginnings. The stories are not just about personal triumphs; they reflect a collective aspiration for a brighter future, embodying the belief that "Our time will come." A beautifully crafted work that is not just about survival but about thriving against all odds🧡✨

𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮.

That’s exactly what this book is, an unfiltered, heartfelt celebration of dreams born not in boardrooms or luxury high-rises, but in the narrow lanes and cramped homes of Mumbai’s lesser-seen side. The author has crafted more than just a book; the author opened a window into the everyday battles and triumphs of young lives that refuse to be defined by circumstance.

Set against the towering backdrop of Mumbai’s skyline, the narratives pulse with raw honesty and irresistible courage. What stands out isn’t just the grit of the protagonists, but their refusal to wait for miracles. They build their own. With each turn of the page, you’re pulled deeper into their world, and by the time you reach the end, their hope feels like yours.

The author’s writing is refreshingly simple yet deeply touching. His ability to step back and let the youth speak for themselves, Tulasi, Lakshmi, Aniket, and many others, makes the book feel authentic and profoundly moving. These are not characters; they are voices, real and resounding, echoing long after the last page is turned.

This book is not just a slogan, it’s a quiet revolution carried in the hearts of India’s fearless youth. It is an emotional journey, an inspiring reminder that resilience, courage, and ambition often rise from the most unexpected places. A must-read for anyone seeking hope, perspective, and a glimpse of the real India.

It's a kind of book you would love to read

"Apna Time Aayega: Inspiring Stories of Mumbai's Grassroot Youths" by Aaditya Sengupta Dhar is a spellbinding ,powerful and stirring book that gives a voice to the often-unheard young people living in Mumbai's slums.
Instead of concentrating on the glamorous side of the city, this book throws a light on the incredible resilience and big dreams of teenagers who face tough challenges every day. It's a collection of open letters, written in their own words, sharing their personal journeys.
You'll read about kids who've overcome immense difficulties, like working odd jobs, but still hold onto their hopes of becoming civil servants, chartered accountants, or even rappers. These aren't just stories; they're calls for change, showing how much potential lies within these communities if given the right support.
Author in collaboration with the Udaan India Foundation, has created a platform for these young voices to be heard. The book emphasizes that dreams know no boundaries and that India's youth, regardless of their background, are the backbone of the nation. It's an easy and inspiring read that will make you believe in the power of perseverance and the idea that "their time will come." This book isn't just to be read; it's a reminder to act and support the dreams of those who need it most. It's a must read , the readers will definitely get something out from this amazing book.

We all have heard the phrase “Apna Time Aayega” but this book isn’t a fictional tale of underdog triumph but rather a powerful, raw, and deep collection of stories penned by youth living in the often overlooked slums of Mumbai. This book is less about a single narrative and more about a symphony of unheard voices, each one echoing with hope, resilience, and an unwavering belief that, indeed, their time will come, Dhananjay, who transitioned from manual labor to dreaming of civil services, and Shalini, who broke family barriers to become a chartered accountant and many more.

The book at its heart is a testament of hope. Every page resonates with the energy of youth dreaming big: of becoming rappers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and change-makers. The thing I loved the most is how the book doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of the struggles of everyday survival, and the systemic barriers to education and opportunity but, pivots back to the indomitable spirit of those who refuse to be defined by their circumstances.

Aaditya’s role as a facilitator is commendable. He doesn't just present these stories; he empowers the young authors to craft them, guiding them through workshops to articulate their deepest desires, their daily struggles, and their visions for the future. For anyone seeking a genuinely inspiring read that challenges perceptions and reignites faith in the human spirit, this book is an essential read.

Mumbai is home to some of the richest people in India but it's also home to some of the poorest with more than half the city's population living in slums. Among them are several inspiring youth who despite their poverty are trying to chart their own path to success, after overcoming countless adversities.
"Apna Time Aayega' (Our Time Will Come) is a collection of such
inspiring stories of syoung individuals who with their dedication and determination, have overcome the odds to achieve their dreams, to build a better life for themselves, their families and countless others.

The stories narrated by the youngsters themselves, from underprivileged communities, narrate their real life experiences of facing hardships and struggles as they overcome every adversity. The book also narrates the vital role played by the NGO Udaan India Foundation which has offered them support in different ways. The book contains some incredible stories of dealing with personal tragedies, failures and economic hardships, each inspiring in their own way.

Each story is not only inspiring but also a way of acknowledging their incredible struggle. What sets these stories apart is that they act as a guiding light to countless disadvantaged youth to not lose hope and believe in their dreams.

Overall "Apna Time Aayega" is an incredible collection of real life accounts that only fascinates but also motivates you to follow your dreams and make a change in the society.

Cue this, you have felt challenges topple always all over you, finding no highway ground how much you ever try, forcing you to always stick to the line, despite wanting to be free from it, maybe trying to find a way out by listening to voices surviving, growing in education despite the low means of providing money to nurture themselves, might give you a new direction,

Well, this book shares forward stories of young ones who made it or just going through social strata challenges but yet making it despite the odds, who have found a way out through Udaan Foundation, an NGO which helps in the education of these young ones and these were written by themselves with the guidance of the author.

This book is meant to be read in tiny sips as each story fills you with different sets of emotions, coining in their introspective findings at the end, which made each story even special, bringing forth to reader's introspection and the burst of energy after each one is a definite yes, and then maybe it might give a spark of inspiration in our lives too.

It's very easy to be empathetic online, but real actions always matter the most, so kudos to Udaan foundation for helping these young ones, as everyone in this world deserves a piece to keep living. I did get motivated a bit to maybe not always look at the big picture, and maybe break into tiny pieces and keep at it one piece at a time.

This book brings one face to face with the social reality of our country. Where the economic reality and aspirations of many do not match, the theme of the book brings out stories where dreams turn to reality for many. An opportunity which changes the lives of many and helps them change the course of their and their families future.

The book is a compilation of anecdotes from the students of Udaan India Foundation which is an NGO which provides education opportunities to children from deprived sections. Education is a blessing for them and helps them turn their dreams to reality.

Each story is a glimpse into the life of the majority population of our country. It provides a raw picture on the inequality persisting in our country and how several young brilliant minds do not receive the opportunity to prove themselves.

Every story also displays the tales of dedication and resilience of the young adults and their struggle to use the aid of the foundation and realise their dreams. The stories depict the little wins which education helps them achieve and the smiles it brings to their faces. Each story is original and honest and portrays a realistic picture of life. It also provides a ray of hope which brightens the lives of the children.

This book brings out a Mumbai which does not receive spotlight and is often lost behind the glamour and glitz of the city. A genuine portrayal of our society with tales of hope and optimism.

"Apna Time Aayega” is a powerful tribute to the great ambition and hard-rock determination of people living on the margins of Mumbai.

Aaditya Sengupta Dhar pens for those unsang, unspoken heros, who are often ignored and forgotten behind the shade of the society, but the stories of these young people are highly inspiring!

Each and Every story is presented with pure honesty.
Incredible struggles, determination, and pue passion of these underprivileged yet strong people, shows their indomitable courage to not let the circumstances define them.

The unsang heros in these stories do not depend on the fate, do not wait for the change, rather they create their path, their journey, their Goal to make a difference.

Their pure faith, resonates on their voices, in their Acts, showing how strongly the faith they carry in, put in their struggles.

This phenomenal composition, doesn't ask for any sympathy, or grace, it does not speak of any weakness, irrespective of circumstances.

This powerful book invites the readers to connect with the people and their amazing stories , to be inspired, to be motivated.

By sharing these wonderful stories, Dhar shows us, what determination can achieve, even when people don’t have privilege.

“Apna Time Aayega” is a strongly suggested one, that shows the power of determination, thoughts, Acts and the human spirit.

Apna Time Aayega is a deeply moving collection of real-life stories from the lesser-heard youth of Mumbai — those who live in the shadows of the city’s skyline but dream just as big. Each narrative is raw, honest, and brimming with hope, reminding us that resilience, ambition, and self-belief can bloom even in the harshest conditions.

Among the many inspiring voices, a few stories left a lasting impression on me. Aakansha’s journey stood out for her quiet strength — balancing her father’s illness, her brother’s hard work, and her own burning desire to study. It’s a story that shows how determination can push through even the toughest circumstances.

Santhoshi’s story was equally powerful. As Udaan’s first student, her dream of becoming a teacher and her transformation through the support she received is heartwarming. It highlights the life-changing role that education and mentorship can play.

But the story that touched me the most was Gaurav’s. His humor, his deep faith in God, and the emotional ups and downs he faced before finding his path through Udaan made it feel like a complete journey — a story of redemption, strength, and finding light through struggle.

This book is a reminder that every voice matters and that greatness can come from the most unexpected places. A truly inspiring read.

Apna Time Aayega is an uplifting, profoundly human compilation of true tales from Mumbai's hidden gems, the impoverished neighborhoods and slums where hope endures in the face of hardship. This book is a potent reminder that determination, not circumstances, determines fate. It was curated by 16-year-old Aaditya Sengupta Dhar under the auspices of Project Kahaani in partnership with the Udaan India Foundation.

The strength, ambition, and steadfast hope of youngsters that are sometimes ignored by mainstream narratives are highlighted by Dhar through candid, unvarnished stories. Every story is a true, moving, and inspirational journey.

Gaurav's tale is one that really spoke to me. His story is unforgettable because to his strong faith, his ability to find light and comedy in the midst of adversity, and his emotional metamorphosis through Udaan. A full arc of hardship, atonement, and fortitude.

Aakansha's silent fortitude inspired me as well. It is both tragic and inspiring to see her struggle for education in the face of family difficulties.

I heartily suggest Apna Time Aayega to anyone seeking genuine, thought-provoking motivation. In addition to questioning your viewpoint, it honors the strength of opportunity, education, and hope. These tales inspire hope for a more just and caring society, not just provide encouragement.

Welcome to the Other Side of Mumbai
Think Mumbai is just glamour, billionaires, and endless traffic? Think again!
"Apna Time Aayega" takes you behind the scenes — into the real Mumbai — where sprawling slums pulse with dreams bigger and brighter than the city's skyline. This isn’t the Mumbai you see in glossy magazines; it’s the heartbeat of the city, where hope doesn’t just float — it flies.

Stories That Pack a Punch
Each story in this book feels like a stubborn little spark refusing to be snuffed out. What hit me the hardest? The sheer, 'unbreakable hope' stitched into every sentence. These aren’t sob stories; they’re battle cries. Here, success isn’t about getting flashy wins — it’s about hanging tough, dreaming wildly, and wearing perseverance like a second skin.

From Their Chant to Yours,
By the end of the book, "Apna Time Aayega" (Our Time Will Come) isn’t just their slogan — it’s yours too. It sneaks into your brain, plays on loop in your heart, and makes you believe that your time is just around the corner.

Mumbai stories always have a way of grabbing your hand and pulling you in, but this one? It dances, it dazzles, and it dares you to dream harder.

Apna Time Aayega by Aaditya Sengupta Dhar offers a deeply moving window into the lives of Mumbai’s slum youth. What makes this collection so powerful is its authenticity—the voices feel real, unpolished, and urgent. Each story pulses with emotion, whether it’s quiet heartbreak or bold determination, and you can’t help but be drawn into the lives of these young dreamers who want more than what they were born into.

As a reader, I was struck by the raw honesty and unfiltered perspectives. The book doesn’t romanticize poverty, but it doesn’t dwell on despair either. Instead, it celebrates the human spirit—how ambition and hope can burn brightly even in the harshest conditions. Their struggles and small victories feel both personal and universal.

This book left me with a lasting impression—not just of the challenges they face, but of their incredible resilience. It’s more than a collection of stories; it’s a call to acknowledge the other side of Mumbai, the one that’s rarely spotlighted. Apna Time Aayega reminded me how crucial it is to listen, really listen, to voices that often go unheard. I finished it feeling humbled, hopeful, and inspired by their unwavering belief: their time will come.

Apna Time Aayega is a moving and honest portrayal of dreams rising from the margins. Aaditya Sengupta Dhar doesn’t just tell stories, he brings to life the voices of young individuals from Mumbai’s overlooked alleys, giving them the space to be heard without filters or exaggeration. What makes the book truly stand out is its quiet sincerity. These stories don’t seek sympathy; they demand attention not through noise, but through raw truth.

The characters, real and unpolished, build their futures with grit, not privilege. There’s no sugarcoating, no cinematic miracles, just courage, small victories, and the kind of hope that grows slowly but steadily. The author writes with restraint, allowing the lives of Tulasi, Lakshmi, Aniket, and others to unfold naturally, making their struggles and triumphs feel deeply personal.

The simplicity of language is its biggest strength, it’s not dressed up to impress, but crafted to connect. Dhar doesn’t preach or dramatize. He observes, reflects, and allows the reader to draw their own emotions.

This isn’t a book that shouts about success, it whispers about resilience. And in that whisper lies its power. A deeply touching and inspiring read for anyone who believes that big dreams can bloom from the most unexpected corners.

Review :
First, let me introduce you to my favorite teen Indian author, Aaditya Sengupta Dhar. He is a sixteen-year-old author who has already published six books till now. And he is an inspiration for the youth as well as to the older generations. Because he's already working to help the teens from low-income communities, and this book is another attempt to spread awareness and also inspire others.

Now about the book, the book is an anthology of stories and stories that are shared by underprivileged communities in Mumbai. And all these stories feature young people with big dreams and determination to do something big to help themselves and their families.

The stories are shared in letter format. And each story is going to touch your heart. The senders did not go into details of their journey but enough to give us the background and fights to get to their dreams.

Each story is so equally inspiring, moving, and powerful that I cannot choose one. Each one of these young people deserves praise for their resilience and determination. And I highly recommend this book. This book deserves to be shared and kept to remind us that there are others who are fighting bigger battles than us and also to remind us that there's hope in everything.

This book is a collection of short stories based on real-life incidents of youths living in the poverty-stricken side of the otherwise posh city of Mumbai. The cover image is quite simple and bland, and it could have been better. However, the stories presented in this book are like hidden diamonds.

The introduction is narrated perfectly; it prepares the reader to experience the pages ahead and the stories of youth from the "Powai area." Each story carries its own pain, contribution, and success. What I liked about this book is that the stories are not all from the same type of person; they include a UPSC failure, a NEET aspirant, a kabaddi player, college students, and more.

Since it covers people from different backgrounds and issues, the book offers a diverse range of motivations. After finishing the book, I felt that I shouldn't complain about the small issues I face in my comfortable life, as many others are struggling even to fulfill their basic needs.

One common thread I noticed is that despite their struggles, each and every story is filled with positivity and inspiration. Some stories offer instant motivation. Each story is about 3 to 5 pages long, which makes the book an easy read. The language is also simple and accessible.

Review draft:

Apna time aayega is an open letter to the people who are positive about their life despite of the challenges life threw at them.

A mumbai based nonprofit organization named Udaan Foundation helps underprivileged children to create a life they dream of by providing them the opportunities that changes their whole life.

For Nandlal, it helped him to start his business, Ankita could fight all the odds and build a better future for her parents, Chanda could work hard and improve her academics with the help of Udaan Foundation. These are just a few examples, but Udaan Foundation has helped many people who had talent but couldn't afford to educate themselves because of various reasons.

This book is a positive reminder that despite of the challenges, many people are so focused and hardworking that they find a way to build a better life and thanks to the institutions like Udaan who helps the people of India to shape their own life along with shaping the nation.

I was expecting this book to be the detailed real life stories of the people, but it's just a letter written to the Udaan Foundation by it's members. The book feels like I'm reading a memorandum, which felt too generic.

Aaditya Sengupta Dhar's "Apna Time Aayega: Inspiring Stories of Mumbai's Grassroots Youth." And let me tell you, if you're looking for a book that'll make you feel like you just throw a fist in the air and shout YES.. then..This is it.
Mumbai's Unsung Heroes Get Their Spotlight! The much needed place they deserve in the society.
He takes us on a tour through the streets and hidden corners of Mumbai, introducing us to a cast of characters who are, quite frankly, rockstars in their own way. Forget your typical celebrity stories... these are the true heroes, the ones making it out day by day, encouraged by their dreams bigger than the Mumbai sky. From slum residents to young entrepreneurs building empires out of just one motivation "Apna Time Aayega".
It's the raw honesty, the unfiltered voices, and the audacity of these young people to dream is the core of this book, that gave me this inspiration to do something with my life as well.
But if I had to pick a favorite, the story that truly resonated with me and had me doing a happy dance was Rinki's story.
So, if you're in need of a serious dose of inspiration, a reminder that dreams are alive and you can do it .. then this is the book for you!!!

From Their Chant to Yours
By the end of the book, "Apna Time Aayega" (Our Time Will Come) isn’t just their slogan — it’s yours too. It sneaks into your brain, plays on loop in your heart, and makes you believe that your time is just around the corner.
Mumbai stories always have a way of grabbing your hand and pulling you in, but this one? It dances, it dazzles, and it dares you to dream harder.

Welcome to aamchi Mumbai — raw, real, and ridiculously inspiring.

"Apna Time Aayega" by author Aaditya Sengupta Dhar transcends being a mere slogan; it serves as a vital support for individuals striving to overcome their situations.

Situated in the shadows of Mumbai's skyscrapers, the narratives spring to life with intense sincerity and unwavering aspirations.

What is notable is the confidence each young storyteller possesses. They’re not waiting for chances; they’re making them happen. With each page, readers are pulled further into their universe, and by the conclusion, their optimism turns into the readers' as well.

It’s a book that evokes compassion and respect, reminding readers that greatness doesn't always emerge from boardrooms; it frequently starts in the most surprising locations.

Through straightforward language and an engaging as well as captivating style, the author has created an exceptional book that is distinguished by its uniqueness and excitement.

The stories of different youths will surely inspire you to rediscover yourself amidst your self-doubts. I have read and enjoyed the book and you guys will also get some amazing lessons from it. Highly recommended.

Apna Time Aayega is not a book; it is the heartbeat of the street culture of the neglected communities of Mumbai. Curated by 16-year-old Aaditya Sengupta Dhar, this compilation of real-life experiences, capacity, ambition, and the quiet revolutions of many young people who build a road for themselves, is just such a mixture. Aryan, Santoshi, Gaurav, or Shalini-all contribute much more than their story; they tell the story of a group, of resilience, of young persons whose voices do not need to be heard. These are young people who are not awaiting their opportunity; they are fashioning it themselves, bit by bit, goal by goal. And while Project Kahaani and Udaan India Foundation take them forward, Aaditya sits back, listens, and allows the voices to be heard. It is this that results in a highly inspiring rhythmic conversation of grit and grace. From issues regarding the right to education to questioning social norms, and big dreams born out of poverty, the book calls for a new reflection on what success truly means. It is not a book announcing its own importance; it is a book that changes you quietly. This book is recommended for all who believe in stories as a force for change.

Aaditya Sengupta Dhar's "Apna Time Aayega" is more than a book; it is an inspiring anthem of hope and strength. Co-published with the Udaan India Foundation, this moving anthology consists of open letters written by Mumbai's slum-residing adolescents, giving voice to the voices rarely heard.

Every story in "Apna Time Aayega" throbs with an unmistakable vitality, presenting youths who overcome overwhelming challenges to pursue lofty aspirations. From would-be civil servants and chartered accountants to aspiring rappers, these are untamed, sincere, and incredibly moving stories. Dhar's position as a mentor in helping these teenagers weave their stories comes through, rendering authenticity and emotional sincerity.

The book goes beyond being an anthology of stories, emerging as a call to arms for acknowledging the huge potential in India's youth, especially those with systemic disadvantages. It is proof of the unbreakable human spirit, leaving one with a renewed optimism and deep respect for people who refuse to be defined by their backgrounds. "Apna Time Aayega" is a gripping read that makes us believe in the potential of every dream.
