Duncan Andrews’s best friend Gina is a witch, his bulldog Daisy is a zombie, and his boyfriend Robbie is a ghost. Duncan himself is just your average private detective, who happens to specialize in paranormal cases.

Robbie's cousin, Jason, has a problem. The house he's living in is haunted by the ghost of serial killer Dr. Stanley Moore. Duncan thinks banishing the spirit will be an easy task, but when confronted, the ghost nearly kills Duncan.

If that's not bad enough, a witch-hunting group called the Order of Cotton Mather have tracked Gina down and are bent on destroying her. And Robbie and Duncan's relationship may be nearing an end, as Robbie feels he's holding Duncan back from having a lover he can actually touch.

Duncan must rid Jason's house of the evil Dr. Moore, save Gina, and somehow manage to hold onto Robbie in the process.

Imma just come right out and say it. I'm hooked!

Hell, who am I kidding? I was hooked at the first book in this series.

Still can't believe I've never heard of this author before. Not to worry, though. I see you now, Mr. Osborne. I've got my eye on you.

I love Stephen Osborne’s “Duncan Andrews Mystery” series. It offers an entertaining world of a private detective who deals with paranormal cases, along with a ghost boyfriend, a witch best-friend, and a zombie dog.

Although I wasn’t completely happy with the previous book, I would say that this latest installment was a winner. In fact, this was probably my favorite book in the series. The storyline was pretty straightforward. Duncan and the gang were dealing with a case involving a haunted house with a malice ghost that was stronger than any ghosts they ever encountered before. Seriously, a haunted house man! Totally a recipe for horror movie, right? And there were some creepy things going on here, complete with blood on the wall stuff. It kept me on the edge of my seat (or bed, since I mostly read it lying down).

There was an additional plot regarding Gina’s boyfriend. But it wasn’t as action-heavy and throughout, it felt more like background noise, a secondary plot, and it was resolved pretty much the way I guessed it would be. (ALTHOUGH, that plot was the one that gave the BIG resolution to the arc that started from the first book. And what arc was that? The Robbie beinga ghost as opposed to Duncan being a human arc.)

For me, that was the main attraction to the series. It was a rather sad situation as engaging as Mr. Osborne wrote it. I thought that Duncan and Robbie were ‘it’; and they deserved to be happy. One of the reasons for me not feeling completely satisfied with book #3 was how Duncan seemed to keep going back and forth regarding Robbie and Nick (another character who became part of the gang). I was totally happy that it was NOT the case here. Duncan and Robbie were solid again. Duncan realized that Robbie was the love of his life and no matter what happened, he would always be in love with Robbie. There were some ROMANTIC moments between Duncan and Robbie that just made me want to decorate my Kindle with heart doodles.

Anything else I could say will spoil the ending. So I will just say that it does have a happy development. Mr. Osborne also told me via Twitter that there would be more adventures of the gang. So that is definitely something to look forward to.

I really love this series. Now, after reading DEAD END, I love it even more. Other people have talked about the story and the characters so I won't do that. I'll just say how much I love the writing and the humor and the action and the creepy ghost stuff and the fact that something happened in this book that I have been wanting to happen ever since this series started. Bravo, Mr. Osborne. Great book. But please, to any prospective readers out there, read the others in the series before you pick up this one. It'll just make the ending that much cooler for you. Trust me. The others are PALE AS A GHOST, ANIMAL INSTINCT, THE SCARLET TIDE, and this one, DEAD END. Take them in order and have a ball. One warning to the author. Don't you dare end it here. I want another one. And maybe one more after that. And after that ....well, you get the idea. Five stars.

All round this story will have you eager to turn the next page, while you constantly look over your shoulder at the shadow you swear you saw move.

These stories have a mystery, that has never failed to keep me entertained. This insight into the paranormal world is one of my favorites. It's for me one of the most believable supernatural worlds.

From my first meeting with Duncan and Robbie I have watched them struggle to survive as a couple. My heart has been battered and bruised and even broken a few times as I watched what seemed to be a no win situation, while at the same time always hoping for the right out come.

Meeting Nick clouded my feelings slightly. At first I kinda wanted a HEA for him and Duncan, but there was no way I wanted Robbie out of the picture. As time went on I struggled with my feelings towards Nick. He is such a nice guy, but he just wasn't Robbie.

Gina is a very rare female. Rare in the sense that I absolutely adore her. She is such a strong character but never is she the know-it-all BFF that all to often crops up. She has been a major player in this series, but not once has she been over powering.

This is probably my favorite book so far. ( I'm really hoping this is not the end despite the title lol) There are so many more adventures to be had, and maybe even another romance or two to be found.

Re reading all these books back to back has just reinforced my love for this crazy gang of ghost busting crime fighters of the supernatural world.

On a side note, I still say this series would make a great film/TV series

ETA Still a great book.

As seems to be my theme lately, I read this one without reading the first 3 books in the series so I didn't know the characters or have any emotional attachment to them...at the beginning. This book was so fun! I loved Robbie and Duncan and Gina and Nick and zombie dog Daisy, what great characters. I'll have to go back and read the others eventually but I didn't have any trouble following the investigation which was super creepy and disturbing. Like I said, fun! This one made me laugh and cry so a total winner.

This is such a fun series with great characters. Not only do I love the main character but I really love the secondary characters as well. The case in this one was interesting and for the first time it was actually scary as I wasn't sure Duncan could defeat the serial killer ghost. Added into that a great side story about Gina. I also love Daisy, the zombie dog and poor Nick who needs to get over his feelings for Duncan because it's just never going to happen. An interesting twist in Duncan and Robbie's relationship and I loved that they committed to each other and decided to stop talking about Robbie crossing over. I'm not sure how I feel about the twist since it seemed a bit unrealistic but I love these characters and I'm looking forward to see how it all plays out in the next book.

Duncan has to deal with a very evil and powerful ghost, that is wrecking the lives of the new owners of the house it resides in. If that isn't enough to deal with, Gina is being targeted by the Order of Cotton Mather. A group of zealots bent on destroying all witches. This would be enough for any respectable ghost and demon detective/hunter, but now Duncan and Robbie must decide where their spectral relationship is going.

I have loved this series from the start. It's smart, funny and loving. There is no sex to speak of, but there is romance and love. I highly recommend it if you love spooky, and want a gentle romantic couple.

Oh. My. God. I love series! It has a little bit of everything...humor, angst, romance, action, paranormal creepiness. Just everything. Robbie has been my favorite character from the start and this book has made me so happy for him. From the witch best friend, to the zombie dog, this book (and this series) is just full of surprises, mayhem, fun and adventure.(Though I'll admit this one had me rather scared for a moment there.) I plan on recommending this series to everyone I know!!

Love, love this series and now we have an added dimension but I won't say more as it will spoil it. This book tugged on the heartstrings and poor old Gina was in the firing line. Daisy cracks me up every time she is mentioned and I would love a zombie dog that "lived" as long as I did. Just downloaded the next (and presently the last)in the series and can't wait to get started.

This book was such a good addition to this series! This is not a stand alone you need to read the three books before this book first.

So in this book Duncan the supernatural private investigator gets a call from Robbie's cousin about having a poltergeist in his house. Robbie who is Duncan's boyfriend who died 10 years ago is still by his side but has decided on a day he will be moving on and Duncan his having a hard time accepting this.
Along with everything going on a evil ghost and facing not having Robbie by his side anymore Duncan has found out something about Gina's boyfriend. Lets just say it is not good news at all.
Something happened right before the end of this book that had tears in my eyes while reading that part. I felt so bad for Duncan.. But the ending of this book was amazing and I went from feeling so sad for Duncan to feeling so happy for him. I have to the ending of this book was just so good and fit this series so well.
You see all the characters from the previous books in this one too which I have to say I loved seeing more of Gina, Nick and Daisy the zombie dog. You also get the action and mystery with this book which will have you sitting on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who this evil spirit was.
I have to say I loved the way this author wrote these characters and this paranormal world!

So all together I really loved this book!
I would definitely 100% recommend this series!

Alright, I did it. I put life on hold and just plowed through this book because I couldn't stand not knowing what was going to happen and I'm glad I did. So many things changed, but so many things stayed the same and I'm excited about what is possibly coming.

I want to thank Mr. Osborne for his brilliant brain. I loved this story so much. I was so sad at the end of the previous book that the thought of a possible book 4 never even entered my mind. Everything was just perfect in this book, the story, the friendship, the bad ghosts and the relationship. The ending had me yelling like some crazy person. I hope this is not the end of the series because l will love to see how Robbie will fit in with the group. But if this is the end then am glad it ended the way it did.It was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

I have had a lot of hours enjoyable reading from this series and this last book was no exception. This book was fully packed with good v evil and some extra Daisy thrown in for good luck. I was intrigued to see how Duncan and Robbie relationship would develop in this book and what ended up happening was unexpected but fitting. I enjoyed this series from start to finish and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for some paranormal stories with good humour thrown in.

My favorite in the series so far, if only because of that ending! This is a fabulous series for fans of series like Psycop. Ghosts and vampires and demons, with Duncan acting as a PI, with his ghost boyfriend Robbie, and his witch friend Gina. This time they come up against a SEVERELY haunted house, with a serial killer ghost who just won't go away. And there's also the cult of witch hunters after Gina, but it's all in a day's work for our gang.

Highly recommend this series, and I can't wait to dive into the next one.

This is the first book in this series where I found the scary parts to be actually scary. Also, it was nice to see Duncan finally making some decisions about his love life (even before that ending) and getting some real romance in amongst the mystery.

Review can be read at It's About The Book

I LOVE this series. Love it! I highly recommend it. If you like paranormal thrillers. The love story is really beautiful as well so romance lovers should enjoy this one. If you've read the previous books you know there's a continuing love triangle that gets tied up in this book. Don't let those two little words scare you. I am personally not a fan of love triangles. This series does not use it as a way to amp up the angst. It's a legitimate concern when you can't touch the love of your life who happens to be a ghost presently and there's a new man in your life who seems willing to do some touching.

In Dead End Duncan is called to help get rid of a particularly nasty spirit haunting the cousin of his boyfriend, Robbie. Duncan thinks it'll be just like any other ghosty he's sent away but this case proves to be the toughest yet. Gina can't help much because her magic doesn't work on ghosts. Nick is brave and goes with Duncan to battle the baddie. Robbie of course helps in his way.

I'll admit I was hesitantly hopeful on how the whole Robbie, Duncan and Nick thing would play out. I know what I wanted. AND I got it! Sometimes it's the ending you'd like but the way it came about isn't satisfactory. Too convenient? Too far fetched or unbelievable? Not this book. The way the entire ending to this crazy relationship is handled so brilliantly. I was thrilled with how it all played out. The thriller portion of the story enhanced the romantic portion. Making every little detail just fall into place like a puzzle. A spooky romantic puzzle!

I have to say that the beginning of this book creeped me out but in that oh so good way. I love scary stories and reading this one alone in dark definitely gave me the heeby jeebies. The baddie in this book seemed to be the scariest of the series for me personally. No way in hell would I step foot in that house! The author balances all that out with some great dry humor. The kind where you just smile while you read the dialogue. Then there's the romance. I'm not a huge fan of ghost stories but this one is special. I absolutely get that these two men are so in love that even death couldn't keep them apart.

Dead End was my favorite book of the series. This is the fourth and possibly final? book of the Duncan Andrews Thrillers. You have to read these in order. It makes me sad to think it could be over for this group of characters because I love reading about them. I'd certainly read whatever else this author writes in this universe. Spin offs? Please!

Another winner in this fabulous series.

I could gush, but it all boils down to a well thought out story. The serial killer angle was interesting, with many unexpected twists and turns and some very clever tricks. I loved that we got the complexity of a darker case without sacrificing the overall lighter tone of the series.

And the side story is just as fantastic. I wasn't immediately sure what was happening because it came out of the blue, but I think that is what made that storyline so impactful. I had no idea what would happen, where it would go, or who would be left standing at the end. I had to let go of any preconceived notions I had because it was clear that anything could happen. Fear like that is a treat because it happens so rarely.

My only concern going into this story was about Robbie, mainly because so much of the last book was spent flip-flopping on what he should do. Duncan, via the author, met the issue head on, actually voicing the same concerns many readers/reviewers had. Some will like the outcome, some will not, and saying anything more will be a spoiler. ;-)

Overall .... highly recommend this entire series.

Totally loved this one again!
I couldn't stop reading, because a lot was happening. I couldn't concentrate on anything else!
I'm extremely happy about

These books always cheer me up. I love all the characters of this crazy gang.
The thing I love about the Duncan Andrew serie is that it has a badass witch, while a lot of MM books have very annoying girl characters. It's also focussing more on the story and less on sex scenes. It's a nice change.

I'm actually kinda disappointed for finishing this book, how long do I have to wait for the next one?! D:

This time the ghost that Duncan and crew are going up against was a really evil person when he was alive and being dead has not improved his disposition at all. For this ghost the combined powers of Duncan, Robbie, Nick, Gina, and even Daisy are required. Banishing this guy is not going to be an easy feat.

As with each book in the series the personal relationships are evolving and changing. It is becoming clearer that Nick does not stand a chance with Duncan as Duncan is never going to be able to move from Robbie. I would love to see Nick get his own love interest and stop pining for something that is never going to happen.

I found myself surprised several time at the twists, turns and discoveries in this story and I thought I had the ending figured out and I was so very wrong.

Ah, Robbie! And of course Duncan, Gina, Nick and Daisy.
As a end of an era book it was great. I'm just hoping Mr Osborne does come up with more stories for this unlikely troup of ghostbusters.

This story was quite menacing - particularly to Duncan's band of merry men and woman - whilst Duncan got roughed up more in this one, it was Nick and Gina that got me holding my breath .
Duncan and Robbie get closer to New Years (this is why you have to read the books in order) but when push comes to shove (literally) Duncan is powerless. I'm so glad for the ending but definitely want more.
Great series, 4.5*

I have one thing to say about this book....It was absolutely BRILLIANT. I loved it. It's the first I've read but wont be the last.

It has drama, humorous moments, ghost's (good & bad), zombie dogs, love and a little sadness (have a tissue handy). I really enjoyed each character and the story line. A drama filled laugh out loud story with some hanger on moments.

The only thing was I thought it was a stand alone book but it's not there are four more. Which I have just got from Dreamspinner so more if Duncan Robbie and the gang.

Definitley a must read book to add to your collection.

Another great, scary ghost story (or more like a super-ghost story) and a wonderful resolution. There are lots of surprises and some sad moments, but all worth it in the end. If Stephen Osborne writes any more in this series, I would love for Nick to get his HEA.

I was reluctant to read this one because I couldn't figure out how Robbie and Duncan would have their happy ending with Robbie as a ghost. Thanks to the next book in this series released in a few weeks, I decided to try. I was not disappointed. Now I just need someone for Nick.
