Dumbarton Oaks series are beautiful books, very useful and well laid out, with Old English on one page and new English on the facing page. They are not cheap but in this case they are well worth the money and I can see myself (slowly) working through several more of these. I was surprised how not-too-difficult the A text is (as a relative newcomer to OE) so it was within my capabilities. By the Battle of Maldon I was improving enough to get through it with appreciation of the lovely text, although vocabulary is always going to be an issue with poetry.
This book contains AS Chronicle A text to 1001, Death of Alfred, Death of Edward and The Battle of Maldon.
