I completed this study with two sisters from my church and it was such a blessing to us. We met monthly to go over each lesson. The picked James on a whim, but in God’s providence and perfect plan we all deeply needed to hear what James had to say. We each entered into a time of significant trial and the Lord used James and our relationships with one another to strengthen us and help us through the difficult circumstances. We finished James not with everything fixed, but in awe of God’s grace and mercy to us and with a deeper appreciation and understanding of James. This study was excellent in getting us to digging deeper into the text, asking probing questions that made us think and ending each week with asking what the section taught us about Christ.

I completed this study as part of my devotional time. I've completed other studies of James over the years. I appreciate how this book takes it slow and allows you to go deeper. I especially appreciated the comparison to the Sermon on the Mount and the linkage to Paul's teaching and other New Testament text.

Great study guide. Well-written and thought provoking questions. Enjoyed the daily commentary and the weekly summaries. The extra stuff was really insightful too. A few typos that need addressed before the next printing though.
