For anyone that is interested in herbs and how to add them to your life this book is an excellent starting point. This book is everything I like in a nonfiction book, practical, easy to read, and full of beautiful illustrations and photographs. Even better, it contains scientific research, recipes, and safety considerations for using the herbs. There are even tips on growing and harvesting the herbs. The layout makes it easy to use and figure out which herb to try based on the body system it helps. I especially liked the extra information in fact boxes throughout the book that provided additional information, ideas, and fun facts. With a glossary and an extensive reference list it will satisfy those that want more about the science. I recommend this book to readers looking for information about herbs and how to incorporate them into their life.
