BEAUTIFUL SAVAGE: is the second book in Victoria Ashley’s ‘Savage & Ink’ series. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ Does flit from past and present but the transition is done fluidly and perfect for understanding these two characters backgrounds.
In this we meet our heroine Alexandra Adams and our hero Jaxon Kade, their’s is not a pretty story, it’s ugly, it’s raw, it’s heartbreaking, it’s dark and gritty but amongst all that is a beautiful second chance friendship, a romance with a slow burn of angst, and all the feels that came at me full speed.
These two were childhood friends, a bumpy friendship, an ugly side of what drugs can do when it’s in the clutches of someone so lost, a tight friendship like no other.
Both raised in sad circumstances, he feels a need to protect her from his father and she wishes she could protect him from his drug induced mother.
Until their friendship was ripped away from them, it’s been at least thirteen years since they have been apart, but not forgotten, Jax has had a hard time putting the past behind him, that all consuming need he felt for Alexandra is still simmering away in the background, he’s not been able to move forward.
She’s slipped into a dark orbit, seeking anything that will dull the pain, dull feeling, dull every day life.
Until she meets the eye of a hot guy on a bike that just for a second makes her feel alive.
Jax is finally ready to put the past behind him..
Until a stranger comes to town, she’s feisty, sexy, tough, he’s inexplicably drawn to her, like a storm brewing he has an over powering urge to protect her just like he did when he was younger and it was Lex he was trying to protect.

This book is nothing like what we’re used to by this author, she’s gone that extra mile and given us a high octane ride of pure angst, grittier and darker, dirtier than ever before, a page turner of epic proportions, I’m bleary eyed and craving my bed because I read this one from start to finish, I couldn’t put it down.

Hot Damn!!!
This book is fantastic! It's Raw, gritty, dark, and full of angst.
I Floved this book!
Boom!! Jaxon and Alexandera are explosive these two have a love hate relationship, with undeniable chemistry. They will take you on an emotional rollercoaster that leaves you stunned at time. You will have a few WTF moments
Honestly this amazing book is a must read !!

Authors, please do better. If you're going to write content that can be extremely triggering, warn readers.
Not on here, not at the start of the book, nothing. No ounce of trigger warnings, I looked. The most I found was the very bottom of the Kindle page stating "this entire series is graphic with detailed violence, sex and language. If you're offended by books that have explicit content, please proceed with caution." There is detailed violence, sex and language, but as someone who read this book, I can tell you this is not even close to enough of a warning or all that needs a warning.
Also, saying "if this offends you read with caution" is offensive itself because my God some scenes were so vile and triggering its offensive that someone doesn't consider it may be a trigger and just thinks others are offended by topics.
So here are the potential triggers this book doesn't warn you of with some details:
Graphic assault and SA of a minor: Assault scenes are graphic as well as the SA. It is not simply mentioned in passing. It is a full-blown graphic scene of it happening. I had to put my Kindle down and walk away.
Graphic assault and SA: Same as above, not mentioned in passing but another graphic scene of SA as it's happening. Again, I had to put my Kindle down and walk away.
Graphic drug use: scenes can be graphic about drug use/abuse and also drugs being forced into people.
Depression: Not mentioned heavily, but there are talks about depression, not wanting to live, etc.
Violent scenes are graphic as well, although this is mentioned only on the bottom of the Kindle page's description and nowhere else. Those reading a physical copy would not have this type of warning.
Outside of this, the story had some promise, but I often found some chapters had paragraph after paragraph that felt as if I was reading the same thing but worded differently. I really lost interest over time, even more so after the graphic SA of Lex as a minor. I would have given three stars, but after hunting for if there were trigger warnings I missed and seeing nothing other than the "if this offends you" snippet, I almost went to one. If things were different, I may have enjoyed this story a little more.

This wasn't as good as the first book. I liked Jax a lot and the relationship he had with Lex when they were kids was sweet, but Lex as an adult was irritating. She's been through a ton of awful things and I did feel for her, but she thinks she's tough and can do whatever she wants, but then gets into bad situations and has to be rescued. There were plenty of romance scenes that were well done and hot. I wonder why there aren't more books in the series? I want Maddie and Avalon's uncle to get together!

Beautiful Savage is Book 2 in the Savage & Ink series and OH MY WORD !!!!!!!!!!
Talk about Alpha Hotness, jax is a powerhouse in this book, he's got an Alpha mentality and is commanding, sexy, and possessive he does what he has to to protect what he loves.
Jax and Lex's story is heart breaking, these two ripped apart from one another when they were too young to do anything about it. Years later they find one another again. What I will tell you about their reunion is it's hot as fuck !!! I mean dayummmm I've said it before I will say it again, Victoria writes those steamy reads that will melt your kindle. Hot hot hot and not only that she had me freaking out a bit when they first reunite thinking OMG .... these two ... when they ... find out .... ( you will know what I mean when you read it)
This was a beautiful yet dark story, their pasts are riddled with pain and heartbreak, their story is full of angst and their passion is so intense that you will need to ensure you are wearing something light i suggest shorts and maybe a tank top cause your gonna burn up.
I need more from this series and these characters in it. I hope Blaine is up next.

I swear this authors stories just get better and better! This one hit on some tough subjects and she nailed them perfectly. Child abuse, drug addiction, depression are not things you normally want in a steamy romance but they enhanced this book. Gave it layers as we watch childhood friends reconnect after years apart and become lovers.
Jax that man! Damn I want to find me a Jax. He protected and loved her more than life itself.
Lex this girl lived a life of HELL! She was tough as nails but so broken. I just wanted to hug her and make everything better.

Beautiful Savage is the second book in Victoria Ashley's Savage and Ink Series. You do not have to have read Royal Savage to read this book but you don't want to miss that book either. Its simply amazing and hello you will love Royal...or at least I do.
Beautiful Savage is the story of Jax and Lex. They were best friends when they were little after he discovered her crying beside her garage one night. Jax was her comfort when things were bad at home and he would do anything to protect her. One fateful night however Lex just disappears and Jax has not a clue where to find her or where her dad has taken her too. It has been thirteen years since he has seen her and he misses her a little more everyday and thinks about her constantly. It's part of the reason why he is the way he is. Kind of closed off and tough as nails. However there is a new girl in town that is now catching his attention and he hers. Lex hasn't felt a thing for anyone since she was ripped away from Jax by her no good father all those years ago. But suddenly the hot bartender at Savage and Ink is catching her attention. For the first time in all those years she is feeling something and not just numbing herself enough to function everyday. When they both discover that they are each catching feeling for each other and didn't realize who the other was this book explodes and you better hold on because it is not a pretty or non bumpy ride at all. Lex after all doesn't want Jax to know that she is just like his mom that he fought his entire life to save. She is a addict. The one thing that Jax would never want her to be. This story tore my heart out multiple times. Lex has not had an easy life. Her father is absolutely horrible and should have been in jail for the things he did to and let happen to Lex. Oh how I hate that man with a passion. There is a lot that these characters go through and it will have you on the edge of your seat and reading like your life depends on it. This book is equal parts beautiful and just heartbreaking. Victoria Ashley has done an amazing job with this story of how imperfect life can be but how in this world there is this one person who is just perfect for you and can change your entire life. That person for Lex is Jax. I swear there is no one in the world who is more perfect for her than the fiercely protective, loves her from way down deep in his soul, Jax. If you only read on book this year, this is the one you want it to be. It's been days since I finished this book and I am still thinking about it every single day. To say these characters stick with you is an understatement. This has to be on of the most beautiful love stories that I have read in a long long time. But don't let that statement fool you into thinking it is a easy one to read. It is not. However it is true to live and one that I loved so much and am sure I will read many times over in the furture.

I have liked Victoria Ashley’s books and her style of writing since I read her WALK OF SHAME SERIES...BUT....It took ROYAL SAVAGE, Book 1 of her SAVAGE & INK SERIES to honestly see how versatile her writing is and how much talent with which this author is blessed...It also proves how blessed we are to have the opportunity to read her work...❤️🌼🔥

Jax is alpha hotness, angry, growly, possessive and I loved every second!! The banter between these two before they even knew who each other was intoxicated me and had me inhaling the pages. It was so hot!! The backstory sucked me in, made me fall right along with them, but not with out like a million obstacles to overcome and kept me glued to the pages!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

This book had me hooked from the first sentence! I seriously couldn't put it down. The struggles that two face are heart breaking. Then to see them win in the end was perfect. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

Now it’s no secret that the wait for Beautiful Savage (book 2 in the Savage & Ink series) has been a long one. I’ve been hanging on for this, from the second I finished Royal Savage but let me tell you EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF WAITING WAS WORTH IT!!
The minute I started reading I was dragged back into their world like I’d never left.
I won’t go into the plot, I never do. I hate giving anything away. I can tell you though Victoria has blown it out of the water again. Every book she writes knocks me on my ass more than the last and I love it!
Beautiful Savage is gritty and raw. It’s the perfect mix of love and hate. It’s dark, dirty and full of angst. It’s one hell of a fucking rollercoaster.
Jax and Alexandra are perfect together. The minute they’re together they explode.
It’s completely different to the first book, honestly my expectations were ripped to shreds because it’s everything I expected and more.
Every second of this story gripped me, Jax and Lex held me hostage from the second they met. Their story isn’t an easy one, but it’s worth the ride!

Victoria Ashley...you've outdone yourself!

Whew. Wasn't that a hell of a synopsis. So I guess Ill try and keep this short and sweet.
While this is the second in the Savage & Ink series, it can be read as a standalone.
Don't you just love a cover with a big ol shirtless guy giving you 'come and sex me' eyes? lolololol. But thats good ink tho, so...

Beautiful Savage was raw, gritty, and sexy. Jaxon was a hell of a alpha protective, not even an asshole, just, an ass to everyone but Lex. Him and Lex were made for eachother and it was obvious.
Ashley set us up for more stories in this series, and here's to hoping that they come sooner than this one did!

It’s taken me no less than a week and no more than a dozen attempts to write this review, but ONLY because this story is THAT AMAZING and I can’t figure out the best way to articulate what/how to say what I feel needs to be said! (Hence the reason, that I am a fabulous reader only, NOT a writer!)
I loved the first book in Savage & Ink series, and was slightly concerned that the next in the series would not compare to the experience that I had with Royal Savage. I should have known that VA would not steer me wrong. The story of Jax and Lex is explosive. It’s emotional, it’s raw, and it takes you on an angst filled journey that consumes you completely.
Jax and Lex are filled with pain and hurt and running from the past and together they have a backstory that neither of them immediately realize. Jax is a typical Alpha male. He is fierce, protective and possessive. Lex is filled with so much pain, sadness, hopelessness and denial. Together they are heartbreakingly perfect, yet the damage they each have inside is great. Jax is a badass sweetie! The Jax from Royal Savage is obviously a small part of the real Jax. And I am in love w/the Savage & Ink men!! If you read Royal Savage (If you haven't, I highly recommend you do), these guys are very rough around the edges. They play hard, their best friends are family, and when Cupid shows up in their bar, they love just as hard, and are the fiercest protectors. Big time swoon factor for me.
The history that Jax and Lex have goes back to when they were kids. They both had family troubles, and dealt with them differently. I felt so protective of them both, and just wanted good things for them. I fell for Jax pretty early in this book, and it just got deeper as the story went on. It wasn't always a pretty tale--some parts were very tough to read--but it was their story, and I absolutely loved it. I cheered, cried, cussed a lot, laughed (mostly at Blaine and Madison), and squirmed (Victoria knows how to write a dirty scene!).
I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Wow, when Victoria Ashley writes a book she puts everything into it. I'm talking total package of love, hate, and angst. I think this book will be one of her best. Jaxon is a gritty and emotional character. He's loves and protects those he calls family. He will fight for them, kill for the them, and even die for them.
Alexandera was one of those he protected, the one he fought for, who was ripped from him and he's never forgotten her. She's never forgotten Jax but she's fallen into a dark world and can't escape, until one night she sees a guy who makes her feel alive again. They are a combustible couple and when she finds out just who he is she's not sure if she wants to drag Jax down into the dark with her.
If you love a total Alpha and a slightly broken female lead then Lex and Jaxon are going to be your new favorite couple!

WOW Just WOW! I have no words. This book was everything and so much more. If I could give it more the 5 stars I so would.

Simply put, this book had me intoxicated and addicted right from the start. It's not a pretty story, its rough, raw, emotional and its love at its worst and best. It deals with some tough subjects, and violence, yet the love pouring from the pages is just heart melting.
Jax and Alexandra had been friends at a young age, Jax was Alexandra's "safe place" and her protector. Jax on the other hand needed Alexandra to keep his sanity as his life was just as much down the pits, with a drug addicted alcoholic mother. They relied on each other, until one incident, and Alexandra was gone.
13 YEARS he's desperately wanted to know where she was, to see her, to finaly have the missing part of him, to no avail. Alexandra is back in town unbeknown to Jax, she's been avoiding him, she doesn't want him to ever know how deeply she is broken and how far down the path of destruction she has travelled.
Omg this book will tear out your heart, Jax is a pure alpha, hot, dreamy, rough edges you just wanna snuggle up with and a protective instinct, that will leave no mercy for those he deems needs put in their place. Absolutely Beautiful. This story is so incredibly powerful you will be pulled in from the beginning. The depth of love between Jax and Lex is immeasurable. Not time or distance or heartache could keep them apart. I swear the world shook when Jax and Lex came together as their chemistry is off the charts. Victoria knows exactly how to write a steaming sex scene cause cold showers are definitely needed throughout. Keep in mind as you read this, and I highly recommend you read it, you'll need a few things. Kleenex, alcohol, a stress ball and cold water for showers!! Welcome to the Savage side of life...buckle up as it's a bumpy ride.

I LOVED the first book of this series and this is actually a great follow up! No disappointments!
Jaxon is a great alpha male with a soft spot and the boys at the bar you can't help but feel that flutter for!
Lex is an interesting female lead. Has a lot of issues that she's dealing with by taking drugs.
Even tho I enjoyed the book and the story was a lovely HEA, with the problems described the timeline was a little quick to suddenly recover from everything.....
But like I say - as a story, it's a good read!
Look forward to seeing Blaine, Mark and also seeing what choice Madison makes....!

I read Royal Savage when it came out and I have been waiting for Jax’s book for YEARS!! I am happy to report that Beautiful Savage was worth. the. wait. Jax is EVERYTHING! He is sexy af, kinda scary, and absolutely lethal. Best of all, he’s super sweet and totally loyal to our beautiful, broken heroine, Lex. She is struggling to make it through the days, and they reconnect at just the right time. Their bond is incredible!

This is the second book in the series and it has ripped me apart! Jax and Lex have been through hell and back from the time they where little kids and now they have found each other after 13 years they go for a wild ride!
Let me warn you this book isn't for the faint at heart, it will rip you wide open and take you down a rabbit hole but in the end you will enjoy every single thing about it!
Highly recommended in my book!

I am constantly forgetting to charge my kindle. And when I saw I had beautiful savage tonight, I started reading. It took me only a few hours. Oh, Jax and Lex...... I love them. I could feel the pain, love and fear. Victoria, you kicked butt writing this one. I can't wait for Blaine and Uncle Mark to get their stories too..... Keep up the hot bikers and the crazy ads women that keep them on their toes.
