Being with Crew is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Even better than getting called up to the majors. We may have started as a fling, but he’s my end game now, the part of everything I want beyond baseball.
There’s another guy in his life now, though, and he’s making up for lost time with his son Grady. I’ve been trying to find my place with them, and most days I think I have. Other days, it’s hard to ignore how Crew might want something easier for him and his son, a future without hotel rooms, stadium lights, and road games.
When Grady’s mom gets into a car accident, everything becomes more uncertain. None of us know if she’s going to make it, and I can’t stop thinking about the choices Crew may need to make and what that’ll mean for us. If he walks away from the game to focus on his son, I’m not sure if there’s still a place in his world for someone who’s gone half the season.
Losing them would wreck me, and if they’re no longer mine, there’s no comeback from that.

Knox is book two and the final book in the Comeback Duet by Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams. I feel like this book, more than the first, was packed with so much emotion between Crew and Knox. Of the very best kind. They are now an established couple, but still tasked with handling all the roadblocks that life wants to throw at them. Only now, they are facing them together, as a team.
This book starts right where the previous one left off. Crew and Knox are committed to each other and happy. Crew’s son lives with his mom, Mallory, but they have established a wonderful co-parenting situation for Grady. And Knox has accepted Grady fully, loving him with all his heart. When Mallory has her accident, though, their lives are thrown into turmoil. Knox helps with Grady as much as possible while Crew sits with Mallory. Again, they work together to make it through.
“I used to think baseball was the only thing I couldn’t live without. Then Grady showed up in my life.”
Knox is so in love with Crew and having Grady in their lives is wonderful. But there are times he questions his true place. Obviously, Crew is trying to make up for lost time with his son and even though Knox knows Crew loves him, he still struggles a bit with finding his place in their family. And Crew is also struggling. Being a professional baseball player, they spend a big part of the season away from home. He wants to be as much of a part of his son’s life as possible and that’s hard to do when he’s away so much.
Even with the struggles they have in their lives, these two grow closer. Their love for each other is easy to see. For me, there are a couple of times that I feel like Crew is a little clueless as to how his actions effect Knox. He’s trying so hard to be a good dad to Grady and fails to see anything else. Part of that might just be that Knox has kind of been my favorite from the beginning!
Towards the end, there were a couple of really touching moments that made my eyes watery. I just couldn’t help it. I’ve become invested in these two over the two books. The ending was super sweet. I’m excited to see what comes next for these two authors.
The conclusion to Knox and Crew’s story that I have been waiting for and I couldn't wait to start it once it hit my kindle. “Knox” is a steamy, swoony and sweet MM baseball romance that wrapped up their story beautifully.
The story picks up right where the last book left off. Crew and Knox are happily together and playing on the same baseball team. And there is also another guy in their lives, Crew’s son, Grady. Crew is still good friends with the mother of his child and the three have worked out a peaceful custody arrangement. But when Grady’s mom gets into a terrible car accident, Crew and Knox work on their new normal as full time parents with the new baseball season starting. Crew is ready to give up baseball if his son needs him and that leads Knox to wonder if he fits into that future with them.
I love Knox and Crew together. They are both swoony, romantic and balance each other out perfectly. Knox is genuine, kind and I loved how he fit seamlessly in with Crew and Grady. A kid might not have been when he first got together with Crew but it was the missing puzzle piece. Crew is an amazing father and I loved how ready to step away from baseball if his son needed him to. But thanks to Knox, he was able to still be a part of the sport he loved. These two had their ups and downs but worked out things as a well balanced couple. Their connection and chemistry was even stronger in this book and the steamy scenes were so great. I loved how they came together as a couple and put some of their private life on social media to show that love is love. Their story was so sweet and the ending made me so happy.
i feel like i’ve been waiting sooo long (i haven’t. i’m dramatic) for knox after the way crew ended and i’m SO excited that it’s (almost) here!! i love knox & crew, and the life they’ve built, so much
i loved how they really worked on their communication and being open & honest with each other. i also really enjoyed seeing knox & grady’s relationship and how close they grew <3
this was the perfect end to knox & crew’s story! i’m so happy my boys got their happy ending <3
I've been waiting what feels like forever for this book lol I know it wasnt that long but after the way Crew ended omggggggggg I needed this one so bad! It was soooooo good 😭 I love how freaking cute they are together. I loved how well they worked through their issues they had. Yes they got upset by things but they had such amazing communications afterwards that was beautiful to read. The way all the adults came together for little man was amazing! More co-parenting needs to be like that. Im so happy I got to read this book early. Thank you for choosing me.
I couldn’t wait for this book! This is the second book in The Comeback Duet and Crew must be read first to get the entire story. I loved everything about Crew and Knox’s story! There is just something that makes my heart happy when big strong MMC’s are vulnerable and so open with their fears and insecurities. This book just made me happy, and that is what I look for in a great book!! Go read it!!
KNOX by Kimberly Knight & Rachel Lyn Adams ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I received an E-book ARC edition of this novel in exchange for an honest review. It will be available September 5th on Amazon & Kindle Unlimited. www.amzn.com/B0F4T26ZZQ/
This is a 222-page Fast-Paced, Existing Couple, Hurt/Comfort, Sequel MM Romance. This is book 2 in the COMEBACK DUET and picks up right where we left off in CREW, book 1. Left off on a tragic cliffhanger, we find out the results pretty fast with fear and how the outcome affects everyone. This review is going to be different from my others since this book is a direct sequel to an established storyline and couple. I recommend reading Crew first before proceeding below. Even though I try to write spoil free reviews, details from Crew may be present.
--"Feels like he's got more of a life without me than with me.”--
Written in alternating chapters duel POV, Crew has a lot on his plate. Before the accident, he already had so much on his mind with starting a relationship with his teammate, Knox, and finding out he is a dad from an ex that kept it a secret so he can go live his life as a baseball star. Now, he feels like he has to choose between his kid or his career while feeling guilty for putting Knox in this position. Balancing home life and a career is hard for anyone, but it really takes a toll on Crew and Knox in different ways. Especially since how it came about.
--Popcorn and cartoons were on deck, but my mind was thinking about Knox. And all the ways I needed to show him I love him.--
I loved how this book starts even though it's not a happy scenario. The authors don’t waste time and move at a very swift pace with the plot, but at the same time, the emotional expression that it causes makes it seem like it all screeches to a halt. You will start and end this book with tears in your eyes from all that emotes off the pages. Even though both MCs get catapulted into fatherhood, they handle it as well as longtime existing parents, even with the small speed bumps. To make things more complicated, the baseball season starts, and with that comes the feeling of guilt of not being a present father and partner.
--I never set out to be anyone’s hero, but if living my truth helped someone feel seen, then maybe the spotlight had found me for a reason.--
The authors did a phenomenal job of having the characters go through their own internal challenges and codependency issues. Crew can’t seem to get his mind and heart to cooperate together for what he wants and what he needs. He lives for the game but needs to be there for his son, Grady, while trying to sustain a relationship. The struggle of wanting everything in life eats at his soul. Losing either will break his heart as Knox, baseball, and Grady make his heart whole. Even being temporaryly separated from his kid or his boyfriend bruises him more than a sprained wrist. Knox never thought he’d be in a relationship, let alone become a father figure. All he wants is to feel a part of the puzzle, but with pieces constantly moving, it’s like he can’t seem to lock anything together. To try to stay present in Crew’s life, Knox starts a social page to show how they live as an example to others that it all can be done but even with that distraction, he still battles to feeling that he doesn’t belong.
--"You know exactly how filthy I like it.”--
This was very spicy heavy! Like, there is a lot of it to the point it was a little excessive. I’m sorry. I love my spice, but they seemed to be bending over in every other chapter. I still give it a 4/5🌶though, especially with the exhibition/ voyeur fantasy kink, which was unexpected. Just wait and see where that came from.🤭
--Having Grady in the stands kept me happy. Each time I stepped out of the dugout and jogged toward the plate, I spotted him waving from the seats, wearing my jersey and a cap pulled low over his hair. His face would light up every time he saw me.--
The ensemble was great. It’s a multi-found family environment. The baseball team with existing characters from the books TRADED, OUTED, and DIBS, which started all this! They really had a nice presence for Crew & Knox as support. They mostly interacted off the field. The sports play that was included was simple and not extremely detailed, but got the point across without it being drawn out. Archer was introduced and was a surprise. I’m curious to see if more will come from his perspective in the future. Maybe a novel written from his POV at the same time this book takes place without overlapping plots. That would be cool! Grady is adorable!! He lights up the space even in the darkest times. He was written authentically as well as the honest partial of the parenthood challenges that come with him while in a modern family situation. Speaking of family! Knox's family is hilarious and adds the comedic break that’s needed in a stressful time while Grady's grandma, Mallory's mom, just adds to the discomfort.
--”Through every win and loss, every road trip and return home, they have proven that love is a team sport.”--
It's a great conclusion to the duet that moves at the speed of sound over a good chuck of time. The authors don’t waste time on extended detail to slow anything down. You just have to keep up with the actions, emotions, and spice like your life is constantly running after a sugar high toddler. Even with the speed, pay attention because they always drop easter eggs from the past to tease the future. If you feel like you are missing content from Crew & Knox’s story, don’t fret to hard like you striked out at the plate because the authors tend to revisit and drop details in other additions in the universe they created. How they ended their story is very fitting for them and even brought tears to my eyes. The authors wrapped up the happy family the way we all hope life could be like in our community.
⚾️ Baseball romance 🖤 Single dad ⚾️ Second chance 🖤 MM romance ⚾️ Secret relationship
This one picks up right where the last book left off, and honestly? It hit me even harder emotionally than the first. Crew and Knox are solid, happy, and fully committed to each other. Crew’s son, Grady, lives with his mom Mallory, and they’ve built such a great co-parenting rhythm. Knox has completely embraced Grady as his own, and the three of them are figuring out their new normal with baseball season kicking off. But when Mallory has her accident, everything gets turned upside down. Crew is torn between being there for Mallory and keeping Grady’s world steady, and Knox steps in beautifully. Then when Crew gets hurt during a game… whew, I knew my heart was in for it.
Knox and Crew together are just everything. They’re swoony, romantic, and balance each other so well. Knox is sweet and genuine, and I loved seeing how naturally he fit in with both Crew and Grady. Their communication was such a big highlight for me, so open and honest, even through the tough stuff. And Knox and Grady? My heart. Watching them grow close felt like seeing the final puzzle piece click into place. Crew’s devotion as a dad was also front and center, even to the point of considering giving up baseball if his son needed him. But Knox reminded him he didn’t have to sacrifice one love for the other, and that was so beautiful to see.
These two definitely had their ups and downs, but they handled them like the strong, balanced couple they are. Their chemistry was next-level in this book (yes, the spice was amazing), and I adored the moments where they chose to share their love openly on social media, such a powerful, tender touch. The ending left me smiling through tears.
From the very first chapter, even though the setup isn’t exactly light or happy, the author hooked me. The pacing keeps you flipping pages, but the emotions? They hit deep, like time slows down. This story was tender, emotional, spicy, and so satisfying. I closed the book teary-eyed but so, so happy for crew’s and Knox’s happy ending.
Thank you The author Agency and Kimberly and Rachel for this arc opportunity!
I felt like I was waiting forever for this book after that ending in Crew. The way that book left me was absolutely criminal, but I loved it and needed this. I NEEDED Knox immediately, so finally getting my hands on it was everything.
And let me just say, this book delivered. The communication between Knox and Crew was perfect, especially considering everything they were dealing with. It certainly was not without its struggles, but the way they circled back and actually worked through things together was so beautiful to read. It felt real and raw.
I also adored the way all the adults came together for Grady. More coparenting in romance books (and in real life, honestly) needs to look like this, because they were able to all work together for a common goal while keeping Grady at the forefront of everything they did. The way Knox stepped into that role while still navigating his own fears and insecurities was such an amazing journney to read.
This was such a perfect conclusion to Knox and Crew’s journey. It was emotional, it was tender, it was spicy, and it tied their story together in the most satisfying way. I closed the book smiling through tears, and I’m just so grateful I got to read it early.
Thank you to Kimberly Knight, Rachel Lyn Adams, and The Author Agency for the eARC of this book.
This duet was so perfect! Book 1 had all the drama, and I wasn’t sure how it would play out, but this one picks up right where Crew left off. Of course, with the way things had ended I knew something terrible was on the horizon, throwing their lives back into uncertainty and indecision.
These two fought so hard for their HEA, and it was so well-earned that my heart swelled. Even though this book was a little shorter, it didn’t bother me one bit. Especially after the cliffhanger in Crew. I needed this conclusion, and it delivered.
I loved how they kept working on their communication (even when it wasn’t instant) and how they continually showed up for each other. The social media angle was one of my favorite parts (aside from every single Grady scene 🤭). It was so satisfying to see them finally share pieces of themselves they’d kept hidden.
If I had one tiny critique? Why did the team have to sweep the Dodgers? 😂 I get it, it tracks with reality lately, but still...why you gotta do me dirty like that? haha (I do love that all the other MLB teams in the book are real teams in their real cities, with only Portland being fictional.)
This was exactly the ending I wanted and craved for these two. kimberly knight and rachel lyn adams are such a dream team, and I cannot wait for whatever they do next!
Knox is the concluding book of the comeback duet, showcasing Knox and Crew as a happy couple. Who are mostly settled into their lives, but there is one concern: Crew's son, Grady. As Crew feels guilty for missing out on four years of his son's life, while Knox struggles to find his place now that Grady and his mother, Mallory, are part of their lives.
This situation intensifies when Mallory is injured in a car accident, prompting Crew to reevaluate whether he can continue playing baseball while taking care of his son. Fortunately, the team and Knox support Crew during this challenging time. However, Crew still feels torn in multiple directions, and when an injury occurs, Knox and Crew find themselves apart for the first time in over a year. Which amplifies Knoxs fears over their long-term future.
But fortunately, he has nothing to fear.
And with minimal angst, some spicy moments, and a beautiful ending, Knox serves as the perfect conclusion to the comeback duet. I would happily recommend it to all.
My thanks to TAA, for my copy of Knox. All thoughts expressed are my own. 😊
Ever since I read the ending and cliffhanger of Crew, I’ve been anticipating this book because you can’t leave us hanging. Out of all the books I’ve read by these two, this is definitely my favorite book by them. I wasn’t expecting to like it this much.
First off, I absolutely loved the communication between Crew and Knox. I was so terrified the communication would be misguided or something, but it was perfect. They didn’t hide anything from each other.
The way that Knox felt, I wanted to cry for him because he felt like he was just watching in with Crew, Mallory and Grady. Grady was just the cutest ever and I loved how he leaned into Knox. Goodness, it was so beautiful.
When Crew got injured during a game, I knew we were going to go through so many more emotions.
I was either smiling or just leaning what was to come. Also, the spice between these two was so steamy. I loved how they didn’t hold back.
I absolutely loved the emotions we went through this book. When it was over, I was not happy because these two were perfect!
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Crew Stratton and Knox Singleton have everything settled in their lives. They love each other, and their jobs as baseball players. Crew is settling in to becoming a Dad to four year old, Grady. Knox and Crew bought Mallory (Grady’s Mom) a spa weekend as a gift, while heading there she is involved in an accident. How does Crew explain to Grady that his Mom is poorly. Helping Mallory with rehabilitation and looking after Grady, Crew starts to feel guilty for not always being there and jealous of the people that were. With Knox by his side he is able to navigate his way through life.
This is the second book in the Comeback duet by Kimberley Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams. I have been waiting patiently for this since reading Crew earlier this year. I knew it wouldn't disappoint. It is relatively low angst book and is so beautifully written by these two amazing authors. The side characters of Grady, Mallory and Archer add so much to the story. Grady sounds like one of the sweetest four year olds, and has adapted very well to having Crew and Knox in his life. I loved this book and the ending made me smile.
I was really hoping that, after the cliffhanger at the end of book one, this sequel would pull me in a bit more, but I still couldn’t fully connect with it. I loved Crew and Knox together, and I enjoyed watching them navigate Grady while also dealing with Mallory. But something always felt like it was missing. I kept waiting for a big moment to happen, and it just never came.
Even with everything going on, the relationship between Crew and Knox felt a little unbalanced at times.
But if you want an easy, low angst MM romance, you’ll love this one
I was so looking forward to this conclusion to the duet and I was not disappointed. Crew left off with Mallory being in a car accident and we knew we were in for a rollercoaster of emotions after that. This picks up with fall out. Crew is a mess trying to deal with Mallory being severely injured, taking care of Grady, his relationship with Knox and his baseball career. Knox is a rock for him, but uneasy at the same time. Mallory's mom seems to hate Knox. (I would have loved to have a scene where Mallory tells her off) Crew is trying to give his son his time and attention and feels guilty for not being around more and Knox struggles to find his place in this family. Thankfully, they find their way and we get the conclusion that's satisfying for everyone.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Knox picks up right where we left off from book one of this duet and I loved slipping right back into Knox and Crew’s story.
The heart of this book is watching Knox and Crew continue to grow together. It’s very much about them navigating day to day life, balancing family, and building a solid foundation. I really appreciated how the relationship was portrayed as steady, supportive, and real.
This was a low-angst, easy read that still felt meaningful, and I closed the book feeling really happy and satisfied with where things ended. It was the perfect continuation of their journey.
Knox is the perfect finale to this duet—emotional, passionate, and deeply heartfelt. If Crew was about rediscovery, Knox is about fighting for love, family, and a future that isn’t always easy but is absolutely worth it. The authors balanced steam, angst, and vulnerability so seamlessly, and Knox’s journey had me hooked from beginning to end. A beautiful conclusion that left me with a full heart.
The writing flowed so seamlessly, and the emotional depth kept me glued to the pages.
What can I say about Knox?? Well, let me start by saying that it was definitely worth the wait. The continuation of Knox and Crew’s relationship is without a doubt the greatest thing that I have ever read! The sex is so hot 🥵 I needed a fan and a stiff drink cause lord can these gorgeous women write amazing love scenes. I highly recommend reading this book and I give it 5 stars 🌟. I received the Advanced Reader Copy for free and I have voluntarily given this review.
Knox picks up right where Crew left off with the same intense feelings and love of these two. While figuring out where they belong and showing their love of each other and their family!!
I wrote in my review for Crew that I didn’t want any more drama for these two and I pretty much go what I asked for. It’s overflowing with steam and feels as the two of them try to find their footing with their relationship, their jobs, and Crew’s son. There is very little angst but just a slow burn as they struggle to figure out how everything fits together, often feeling like something has to give.
Especially Crew as he tries to make up for lost time with his son as well as help Mallory after the accident that was the cliffhanger for book 1. He wants to be with Crew and play baseball and be there with Grady and with Mallory but with spring training starting, and then the season, he’s away as much as he is home and he is stuh-ruhg-ling. He’s just not sure how he can balance everything without feeling like he’s missing out or letting someone down.
Unfortunately it often leaves Knox feeling a little on the outside. He’s a great boyfriend, and is wonderful with Grady, but so much has happened so quickly that he doesn’t always know how he fits. But that doesn’t stop him from jumping in with both feet and doing everything he can to support this little family they are making. Together, with the help of friends and family, surely they can figure it out.
It’s a good ending to their story, and I felt satisfied with where it took them, but I’m not sure it’s going to be for everyone. Especially when compared to Crew. This one still has all the emotions, but they are quieter than the gut punch that the first one was at times :)
**I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
*Tropes: -Book 2 of the Duet -MM Romance -Sports Romance (Baseball) -Pro Baseball Players -Single Dad -Unfortunate Incident
*Spiciness: 3.5 / 5
I was eagerly awaiting for the second book in The Comeback Duet, as the first book left was on a cliffhanger. I had loved Crew and Knox’s character in the first book and I loved them in this book too. Crew was faced with an extremely challenging and difficult situation at the end of book one and book two revolves around how Crew and Knox go about dealing with what life has thrown at them. Knox once again proved that he is an absolute Gem. He supported, cared, understood and loved Crew through everything. Knox also helped Crew take care of Grady (Crew’s son) when Crew had to be with Grady’s mom. Knox did his best to ensure that the Crew wouldn’t give up his career that he loved so much by suggesting different options Crew can take to ensure Grady and Grady’s mom are taken care of. Crew made sure to involve Knox in everything and when Knox felt like an outsider, Crew made sure to show Knox his gratitude and love with his actions and words. Crew and Knox’s relationship grew stronger because of their open communication, unwavering support, loyalty and understanding towards one another. This book has covered wide range of emotions and each emotion is beautiful portrayed. Grady definitely stole my heart with his sweetness, sassiness and kindness. I enjoyed reading The Comeback Duet and will definitely recommend it.
I got an arc of this because MM and baseball is one of my favorites. But I quickly realized that I needed to read book 1 as this was book 2 in a duet. Same couple, continuing story. So off I went to Kindle Unlimited.
I started book 2 immediately after book 1. And as much as I liked book 1, book 2 was kind of...boring? Crew and Knox are together, playing for the same baseball team; Crew's ex and their son have integrated into their lives, his ex is healing well after an accident. And Grady is the cutest most perfect little kid there is. Who's vocabulary can be a bit extensive for his age. But I digress.
I understand what Knox was feeling. But I also didn't see any evidence that those feelings were warranted. Feeling like a 3rd wheel when he was so obviously a huge part of Crew's life, Grady's life and even his ex's life, didn't seem realistic. Or at least as big of a deal and he made it. He wasn't left out of anything.
So while it was a nice continuation of the story and we got a lovely HEA, the book was seriously half sex. Which is fine, but also...really? Like they are going to combust immediately if they don't get down and dirty.
I did enjoy the baseball in it and that it wasn't something that was in the background. The careers of MLB players is tough- and the authors showed that.
SO if you read Knox, you'll want to read Crew. Just so you get the whole story. I would really give this more of a 3 1/2 stars rating
I waited with my heart on my throat for this book after the cliffhanger from book one. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen between Crew and Knox and how their relationship would change.
I’m so glad it only got them closer. Knox became Crew’s pillar of strength during such a difficult time. He stepped up to the plate and guided him when he felt lost.
I really loved their relationship. They really were there for each other when things got rough. When Knox’s doubts crept in, Crew made sure to him how loved and important he was in his life.
I gotta say, the spice in this book was off the charts! Holy mother of hotness was it smutty. I don’t remember if book one was this hot but I’m not even mad about it😆
These two really knew how to raise the temperature. But as spicy as it was, they were more than just seggs. It was their connection, their love that really made this duet so special.
It was about them not giving up on their love despite the adversity and distance. It was about them realizing they were each other’s person and not letting go of what they could have together.
“I’d go through every difficult moment, every second of missing you again, if I knew we’d end up right back here.” This was my favorite quote of the book😍
Once again Rachel and Kimberly hit it out of the park with this story. I can’t get enough of them and can’t wait to read their next masterpiece.
YAY!!! WAHOO!! WOOT, WOOT!!! YES!!! Book two of the Comeback Duet is here. The ending of Crew, book one of the Comeback Duet, left me thinking of so many possibilities. I could only hope that Crew and Knox would get their happily ever after.
I needed to know what happened. I opened the book ready for anything. Knox grabbed me, hooked me and refused to let go until the very end. So much was happening. The drama was thrilling and intense. I began Knox filled with anxiety. I had so many ideas about what had happened to Mallory at the end of Crew.
I had no idea what the future would hold. Knox had me feeling all the emotions. Their struggles broke my heart. The feelings of doubt had me wanting to hug and scream in equal measures. Thank goodness for super sweet, adorable four year old Grady. He could brighten any day, but would he be their doom?
Life becomes confusing. Crew is feeling guilty. Crew is overwhelmed. Crew wants it all. Crew's journey is one most of us can identify with. The struggles feels so real. Knox wants to share the burden. He was the perfect man to pick Crew up off the floor and help him face tomorrow. Knox and crew is a beautiful romance story, well worth the wait.
i’ve always loved the books kimberly and rachel teamed up to write together, and with each series i say that particular book is my favorite. which of course is the truth.
and it’s no different for the comeback duet series.
so let’s just say that whatever these two put out i love to read and re-read a million times over.
crew and knox’s stories were absolutely beautiful and to be honest, i’m kinda sad that it’s over. i wish i could go back and re-read the series again for the first time.
in fact, i loved this series so much that it’s inspired me to continue to write the book i had started to write but hadn’t wrote in months because i felt it wouldn’t be any good enough. if they can do it, then why can’t i?
i absolutely love the relationship between knox and crew’s son, grady and how easily it is for him to love a child that isn’t his. i especially loved the friendship between him and mallory, especially when not every one is that welcoming to accepting an ex being a part of their significant other’s life.
i wish i could rate this book ♾️/5 because that’s how much i loved their story.
Thank you to Kimberly Knight, Rachel Lyn Adams and The Author Agency for the ARC!
Rare second book that doesn't compromise the pacing or quality!
Feel-good: I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Knox" and found the characters, Knox and Crew, to be incredibly wholesome and heartwarming. Their genuine connections and supportive relationships made for a truly uplifting reading experience.
Characters: Knox & Crew are solid main leads, and their chemistry is engaging to read. However, the supporting characters, particularly Grady, truly elevate the narrative, bringing both emotional depth and a touch of heartwarming sentiment to the main characters' experiences. Mallory, on the other hand, is someone to root for, a true ally for the leads.
Emotional Turmoil: This story avoids being overly dramatic or tragic, while still exploring real emotions and treating feelings with sensitivity. Knox's insecurities are recognised and understood, Crew's fears are genuine and properly acknowledged. Bonding within the family is beautifully written.
I absolutely loved this conclusion to 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐱 and Crew’s love story. It was everything I had hoped it would be and then some. What made it so compelling for me was how low on angst and high on emotional intimacy it was—there’s something so 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙, so 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥, and so 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 about their connection that just grabs hold of your heart.
Of course, they’re not without struggles—there are hard things that need to be worked through—but at its core, this book is such a beautiful celebration of 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚. That balance of tenderness, growth, and unwavering devotion made me want to savor every page.
The family and found family dynamics shine so brightly too. My heart especially adores Mallory and sweet Grady (truly the cutest kid I’ve ever read on page). They added so much warmth and depth to the story.
Knox and Crew will forever be a favorite couple for me, and this finale to The Comeback Duet left my heart absolutely full.
Special thanks to The Author Agency for the gifted copy 💕
This is the second book of a duet so if you haven't read Crew, stop now.
Knox and Crew are now facing a major hurdle in their lives. Crew learned of a child that he fathered but never knew and just as things began to settle in that part of his life it was blown up just as quickly. But as things settle and the tragedy turns to triumph it leaves more questions than answers. Crew begins to consider if baseball is still his path in life. Knox begins to feel as if he is a extra wheel this family doesn't need. They both experience some miscommunication which leaves feeling hurt but in Crew's own words, Knox is endgame and that certainly prove that. This was a cute sidekick to book 1 and wraps everything up nicely though it did feel a bit fast paced at times.
This was a great duet and come on who doesn't love baseball boys falling in love!
This is the 2nd half of the duet by Kimberly Knight and Rachel Adams. We ended in a bit of a rough spot with the previous book didn't we?
Crew was on his way to the hospital to find out what was happening with his 'baby mama' for lack of a better term. Overall, I loved this book because it ended happily. I also enjoyed it because we get to see how love is presented in different forms; soft quiet love, acts of service and shout it to the world kind of love.
Knox is feeling like he's the odd one out because Crew and Mallory have Grady and he's just the 'after thought' but he isn't Grady loves him just as much as Crew does and he fits into their little family wonderfully. Crew reassures Knox of his love and place throughout the book. This MM baseball romance has a beautiful ending and I enjoyed the extra bits at the end.
