After a series of breakups, Akshara Sharma has sworn off men. She’s done with romance, commitments, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it. Until that one wild night, no-names, no-strings-attached hookup with a ridiculously hot stranger. It was supposed to be a fling; until she discovers who he really is.
Devesh Oberoi doesn’t do distractions. As the billionaire CEO of a tech empire, he has exactly zero time for love and relationships. But the moment he meets Akshara, something shifts within him. She’s fire and chaos, laughter and trouble; all the things he never knew he needed.
She’s trying to resist. He’s trying to persuade.
With the sizzling tension, resisting temptation might just be impossible. But will they risk everything for a chance at something real?
A heart-melting romance filled with witty banter, undeniable chemistry, deep emotions, and a love story neither of them saw coming!
It was a cute strangers to lovers rom-com full of love, banters, and emotional and swoon-worthy moments. Akshara was fiery and bold and due to some past incidents is emotionally reserved. At first, I felt somewhat disconnected from her due to her detached behaviour but as the story progressed I got to understand her pov and I really like how the sensitive topic of her part is written in the book and the way she opens up her heart and heal through the book is reading worthy. Devesh was so good, charming and patient with Akshara. I would have loved to know more about his family story though. Samaira and Aryan make a comeback from the previous book and I was so happy to find them in this story...
Loved Akshara and Devesh's chemistry and growth throughout the plot. It has so many sassy, cute and beautiful moments and I loved them all.
3.75-4⭐️ 3.25🌶 This book started out with a bang! I loved how the two officially met, then all the circumstances why they couldn't move forward. It was great. Akshara has some type of past trauma but you never hear anything about it, even in her thoughts. Nothing is given away here. Then a bomb is dropped and I struggled because I feel like her actions should have been a little bit different considering what happened. I don't care when it happened, at what point do you get over that for certain situations? This fact didn't ruin the story for me because there was so much more to the story but for the MFCs character development, the thought kinda hung around when I was trying to connect with her and her actions. Devesh was amazing! He definitely heats up a room!
After a string of heartbreaks, Akshara Sharma has officially hit pause on love. One wild night with a stranger was supposed to be just that — a fling. No names. No expectations. No consequences. But fate had other plans, and that ridiculously hot stranger? He’s none other than Devesh Oberoi — the billionaire CEO who avoids love like the plague.
What follows is a story full of delicious tension, crackling chemistry, hilarious banter, and unexpected vulnerability. Akshara is fiery, real, and relatable. Devesh is stubborn, guarded, but impossible to dislike. And when these two collide, the result is pure magic.
Manisha Vashist has written a rom-com that sparkles with wit and warmth. If you're into stories where opposites attract, hearts heal slowly, and the "fling" turns into something surprisingly forever... you’ll devour this book in one sitting.
🔹 Tropes: Enemies to lovers, one-night-stand twist, grumpy x sunshine 🔹 Perfect for fans of: Beth O’Leary, Tessa Bailey, and desi Netflix rom-coms 🔹 Final verdict: 4.5 stars of spicy, swoony perfection!
Review of Fling to Forever by Manisha Vashist💜✨ “When a fling starts feeling like fate...”
This book was such a pleasant surprise!☺Fling to Forever isn’t just your typical rom-com—it’s a romance that flirts with chaos, dives into emotion, and lands straight in your heart. It begins like a spark you don’t see coming—quick, impulsive, and wildly entertaining—but slowly transforms into a story layered with warmth, vulnerability, and real emotional growth🤗
Akshara Sharma is the kind of heroine who lingers with you💕 Strong but scarred, confident yet closed-off, she’s a woman who’s known heartbreak and has the emotional armor to prove it. Watching her gradually take those walls down was so powerful. She’s sassy, self-aware, and incredibly relatable—and that made her journey all the more meaningful✨
And then there's Devesh Oberoi. Brooding billionaire? Yes. But also emotionally complex, intuitive, and surprisingly tender💓 He’s not just the sexy, sharp-edged lead—he’s the kind of character who feels real in all the best ways. His connection with Akshara? Electric🔥 Their back-and-forth sparkles with humor and heat, but it’s their quiet, raw moments that truly elevate this romance💟
What I loved most was how the story balanced steamy flirtation with deep emotional stakes. It’s not just about attraction—it’s about choosing to risk your heart again. The writing is crisp and engaging, filled with sharp dialogue and genuinely moving moments. There's laughter, longing, tension, and that delicious slow-burn payoff that romance readers crave.
Fling to Forever isn’t just about falling in love—it’s about learning to love again💖 It’s for anyone who’s been guarded, anyone who’s felt broken, and anyone who dares to believe that even a fling could turn into forever. If you're looking for a romance with heart, spice, and just enough emotional messiness to feel real—this one's a must-read♥️✨

Review of "Fling to Forever" by Manisha Vashisht: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book completely took me by surprise in the best way possible. Fling to Forever is the kind of romance that starts off like a spark in the dark—sudden, wild, and unexpected—and then slowly grows into something warm and steady that stays with you.
Akshara Sharma is one of those protagonists you instantly connect with. She's been through heartbreak, she's guarded, and she’s done with the emotional chaos that comes with love. I admired her strength, her sass, and the fact that she wasn't afraid to put herself first. But what made her journey special was watching those walls start to crack—slowly, messily, beautifully.
Then there’s Devesh Oberoi. Billionaire, focused, emotionally unavailable—or so he thinks. What I loved about him was that he wasn’t just your typical alpha male. Sure, he's intense and driven, but he also listens, learns, and softens in a way that feels genuine. The chemistry between him and Akshara? Off the charts. Their banter had me smiling, their tension had me hooked, and their vulnerable moments gave the story real emotional depth.
What stood out the most for me was how the book balanced fiery passion with heartfelt emotions. It wasn’t just about lust or attraction—it was about 'choosing' love again, despite fear. The writing flows smoothly, the dialogues feel natural and sharp, and the emotional beats hit just right. There’s humor, there’s tension, and there’s that slow, satisfying build-up to something real.
Fling to Forever is more than just a steamy romance. It’s a story about letting go of past pain, taking risks, and allowing someone in—when it’s the last thing you planned. If you’re looking for a love story with heart, heat, and just the right dose of chaos, this one’s for you.
I recently finished 'Fling to Forever' by Manisha Vashist in one night, after saying I wouldn't be able to complete it soon. I can confidently say it delivers exactly what I needed, a refreshing romance, yet sizzling with chemistry.
The story is about Akshara who is freshly wounded from past love, enters a carefree fling with a mysterious stranger and the best part is that she is unaware he’s billionaire CEO Devesh Oberoi until fate decides otherwise. From the very first page, they had me smiling and giggling, the slow-burn tension had me hooked, and the emotional vulnerability they share feels real and deeply satisfying.
What stands out to me is how Akshara’s journey from guarded and sceptical to hopeful and trusting felt deeply personal, her growth totally resonated with me. And Devesh, with his calm confidence and emotional intelligence, isn’t a stereotypical billionaire hunk; he’s patient, supportive, and the definition of a green-flag hero.
I read it in 24 hours and absolutely have no regrets. The book is razor-sharp and witty, with moments that made me blush, laugh, and sigh in equal measure. Pair this with a narrative that beautifully integrates modern Indian cultural nuances, and you have a rom‑com that’s equally entertaining and heartwarming.
In short, 'Fling to Forever' is the perfect mix of spice, substance, and sweet healing. No cringe, just real connection, and it’s exactly what a contemporary romance should be.
I picked this up expecting a light, flirty rom-com and it delivered that and so much more. Akshara Sharma is not an average romance heroine. She’s fiery, vulnerable, hilarious, and heartbreakingly real. And Devesh Oberoi? He’s the kind of billionaire you want in a romance novel emotionally repressed, brooding, but slowly softening in the warmth of her chaos. 🥹
Their story starts with a one-night stand bold, reckless, fun but the way it turns into something deeper, something unplanned, had me smiling like a fool and clutching my chest at 2 a.m ( i was reading at that time lol 😭)
💫 What I loved: – The banter. SO GOOD. – Akshara’s sass and sensitivity – The way Devesh tries not to fall, but does anyway – That slow emotional melt. Ugh, perfection.
📖 It’s spicy, yes, but also soft. A story about letting go, falling hard, and finding love where you never planned to look.
If you’re a sucker for strangers-to-lovers, sizzling chemistry, and heartwarming chaos add this to your June TBR. You’ll devour it in one sitting just like I did. 💋
⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 📚 Would I reread? Yes, especially those banter-filled scenes. I highly recommend this book!! I enjoyed reading this book and completed reading in just one sitting!
Fling to Forever by Manisha Vasishta is a sizzling and heartwarming strangers-to-lovers romcom. The story follows Akshara Sharma, a woman who’s sworn off love after a string of heartbreaks, and Devesh Oberoi, a billionaire tech CEO with no time for distractions—until one impulsive, no-strings-attached night changes everything. They part ways as strangers... only to collide again eight months later at her sister Samaira’s engagement party, where Devesh turns out to be the groom’s best man.
Set against the vibrant chaos of a big fat Indian wedding, their chemistry crackles. Akshara's sharp and guarded nature laced with emotional vulnerability is perfectly matched by Devesh's patient, persistent and tender aura with the unwavering "I-am-not-going-anywhere" energy.
Even after the wedding festivities faded and life settled into its usual rhythm, Devesh seamlessly wove himself into Akshara’s everyday world—showing up for her milestones, embracing her routines, and quietly laying the foundation for something lasting. Their connection, once impulsive and electric, began to take root in the quiet consistency of shared moments and mutual presence.
The way the author masterfully balanced their crackling banter and simmering tension with emotional growth made this book unputdownable. The supporting characters (I can't wait to read Samaira and Aryan's book) added warmth and continuity, while the emotional stakes kept the story grounded.
If you love romance with spice, sass, and soul, Fling to Forever is a delightful, feel-good read that reminds us love often shows up when we least expect it.
The book tells the story of Akshara, a young woman whose trust in men is shattered after discovering her boss, with whom she had a close relationship, is already married. After this, she looks only for distraction and she went to the club and there she mets Devesh. What she thought would be a one-time encounter slowly turns into something much deeper, especially as fate continues to bring them together through her sister’s marriage.
I found Akshara to be a relatable and admirable person. She is simple, principled, and sensitive, yet also deeply scarred by her past. Her hesitation and fear of commitment felt very realistic, making her eventual growth even more touching.🥹
Deveshis the kind of man many would hope for wealthy but grounded, persistent yet gentle. His patience and determination to win Akshara over made him a standout character.
What I enjoyed most was the gradual development of their relationship. It showed the struggle between fear and desire, heartbreak and healing. By the end, their love felt genuine and deserved, leaving me with a sense of hope and satisfaction.🥰
This book?! OMG 🤌🏻 I started this book by enjoying the banter between Akshara and Devesh. They are a power couple! And then towards the end, I had sad and happy tears! Well, a lot happened in these 250 pages. This couple is filled with surprises, and of course, spice. Devesh is such a Greek God! He is quite an interesting person because of all his talents - brooding CEO, excellent cook, hot driving skills and what not! And this is the guy every man should take inspiration from (to be the perfect boyfriend/husband 🤭). Akshara is the strong independent woman, and we hardly see characters like her in books these days. I'm really very proud of her! The author has done a commendable job in building out the plot and creating the characters with flaws that soon diminsh because of perfect character development. You'll find characters from the author's another book - Can First Love Be Forever? But it's alright if you haven't read that one since both these books are standalone.
Fling to Forever revolves around Devesh and Akshara—complete strangers who meet by fate in a club, where they feel an irresistible spark between them. Akshara, tired of her past failed relationships, has made a rule: no falling for any man again. She thinks a one-night stand with a stranger will be fun and exciting—absolutely no strings attached. But what she doesn’t know is that the man she thinks is a stranger might not truly be one. And Devesh? He’s ready to break all rules for her (and of her).
I absolutely loved this book. From the very first page to the last, it was addictive. It kept me hooked throughout, and I finished it in just two days. The chemistry between Devesh and Akshara was mind-blowing. Devesh Oberoi is the definition of a gentleman—he has my whole heart. I lost count of the giggles I giggled whenever he spoke. Akshara is just as amazing—fierce on the outside and soft on the inside. The way Devesh cracked her armor and made her open up emotionally was beautiful 🤌🏼
This book was filled with swoon-worthy and spicy moments, and the balance was perfect. Not to forget Samaira and Aryan—OMG, they are such cutie-patooties! I’m definitely reading their book too. As much as this book made me swoon, it made me cry as well. That confrontation between Akshara and her mother? So heavy. I really wanted some kind of justice or revenge there to feel satisfied 😭
The breakup towards the end did feel a bit forced. In my opinion, both were at fault—Devesh for hiding the truth and Akshara for not trusting him and running away without confrontation. My poor baby Devesh suffered more than he deserved. But I’m glad they ended up together with their happily ever after 🥹
If you’re looking for a strangers-to-lovers billionaire romance packed with emotion, spice, and swoon-worthy moments—go read this book!
Fling to Forever is the kind of spicy romance that leaves you grinning, blushing, and romanticizing about Devesh Oberoi all day.
It is the love story between Akshara, an on-ground reporter and influencer who’s done with love after getting cheated on and Devesh Oberoi, the hot billionaire CEO of Plan My Trip.
Akshara gets cheated on, swears off men…
Then decides to have a reckless fling with a hot stranger at the club.
Eight months later?
That hot stranger walks into her sister’s engagement. The Hot stranger is no other than the Famous CEO Devesh Oberoi.
Akshara immediately friend-zones him.🤭
She’s too scared to get hurt again.
But Devesh? He doesn’t back down.
He charms her. He makes her feel secure, does everything to gain her trust and love.
I had a very good time with this novel! I liked both main characters, although the MMC felt a bit too perfect to be true, I tend to prefer characters who are a little rough around the edges, like the FMC, for example, which i could totally identify with.
I loved the dynamic between them and how naturally their relationship developed over the course of several events. I also appreciated the dual POVs, which gave better insight into each character. The writing style was engaging and flowed really well, which made the book very easy to get into, it was a truely good mood read 💙
The two reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars are:
I wish the trauma event discussed about two-thirds into the book had been explored more deeply to better understand the family dynamics and the FMC’s psyche (although I understand this is a romcom/light romance, which might explain why it wasn’t). There were quite a few explicit sex scenes, which I’m generally not a fan of in any book (I prefer closed-door romance) and there was quite a lot of it in this one.
Overall, it was a very fun and easy-to-read book, with a little more depth than you’d expect from your typical romcom and a very loving/ modern FMC . And if you're into spicy/steamy 🌶️ scenes, you'll absolutely love it!
All my gratitude to Manisha Vashist for generously providing me with an e-copy of the book in exchange for an honest review ✨
What a cute rom com! I loved the two main characters and their interactions together. If you want an absolute cinnamon hero who would do anything for the heroine, then this is for you! Although I enjoyed it, I was left wanting a little more. I think it would have been interesting to dive more into the culture. There were so many cultural words/customs that I was unfamiliar with that I looked up in order to truly understand the story. The conflict at the end also felt random as there was no mention of it or build up to it at all. I think this story could have really benefited from a dual POV in order to provide some more details and backstory. It was a cute read and I'm interested to see what the author releases next!
This book completely took me by surprise- in the best way possible. What began as a spark in the dark, a wild and unexpected night, slowly blossomed into something warm and comforting 🫂.
Akshara: I absolutely loved her. I felt an instant connection with her. Her strength, her sass, and the way her character was written without being overly dramatic made her feel real. After everything she’s been through (none of which she deserved), the way she carried herself and eventually allowed her walls to come down really hit me 🥹.
Devesh: I loved him too, but what made me adore him even more was that he wasn’t your typical fictional male. He listens, he cares, he learns, and he’s so gentle with her. Watching him go from emotionally unavailable to showering his woman with love and patience was just beautiful 😍🤌🏻
The chemistry between them was great. Their cute nicknames? Surprisingly decent (trust me, I’ve heard worse 😅). Their banter had me giggling, the tension kept me hooked, and their vulnerable moments added the emotional depth this story needed 🫶🏼. This book was more than just spice- it was about letting go of the past, taking risks, and allowing someone in… even when it’s the last thing you planned.
⋆.˚ ☾⭒.˚*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆✴︎˚。⋆ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ stars There are books you read for entertainment, and there are books you read that somehow end up feeling like they’ve cracked open a little part of you. This was one of those books. It wasn’t just a love story, it was laughter and heartbreak, sisterhood and healing, a rollercoaster that didn’t just shake me but slowed me down, made me sit with myself, and reminded me how powerful stories can be when they echo your own hidden thoughts.
The Sister Bond Before even getting into the romance, I have to talk about Akshara and Samaira. Their relationship felt so real, so full of quiet love, that it instantly pulled me in. The way Akshara worked so hard for her sister’s celebration showed how much she cared, while Akshara’s sudden waves of emotion about her sister’s wedding were written in a way that felt raw and lived-in. As the youngest sibling with older brothers and sisters, I know what it’s like to suddenly feel that ache of change creeping in, the bittersweet pride mixed with sadness. It’s the kind of love that makes you want to cry alone in the bathroom just so no one can see how much it all means to you. Their bond was one of my favorite aspects of the book it was tender, grounding, and deeply human.
Akshara: A Character That Feels Like a Mirror Akshara is the type of character who says things you’ve thought a thousand times but never spoken out loud. She’s witty, self-aware, and sometimes so painfully relatable that I had to stop reading just to laugh at myself.
When she said, “I need to do something different. Something bold. Something that says—I am a strong, independent woman who is totally fine and definitely over the worthless assholes who happen to fall in my exes’ category,” I felt like she was speaking straight from my journal. When she admitted she was “drowning in murky waters of introspection on my not-so-successful love life on loop,” it was like hearing my own late-night thoughts echo back at me.
Her nervousness when seeing Devash again made my chest tighten because I know that exact feeling, the awkwardness, the heat rising to your face, the panic of not knowing what to do with your hands. And her backstory broke me in ways I wasn’t expecting. I cried so hard I had to pause, and even when I wasn’t reading, my mind kept drifting back to her pain. That’s how much she lingered.
Akshara is flawed but strong, fragile yet stubborn, and her voice throughout the story felt like both a friend and a reflection.
Devash: Gentle, Steady, and Healing And then there’s Devash. Where do I even begin? He is the kind of love interest that doesn’t just make you swoon he makes you believe in the possibility of gentle love again. He’s not written as a storm or a fire. He’s written as something steadier. Something softer.
Devash is patient. He notices the details, the pauses in Akshara’s words, the way her emotions shift even when she tries to hide them. He’s persistent, but never forceful. His backstory with his parents broke me into pieces I was holding my breath, tears streaming down my face in the middle of the night, trying not to wake my family. And yet, despite his pain, what struck me the most is how he chooses love anyway. He chooses Akshara, even when she’s scared, even when she pushes him away, even when it would be easier to let go.
One line that will stay with me is when he said, “How could I forget the most beautiful woman I’ve met?” It wasn’t just romantic it was the way it was said, with sincerity and awe, that made me blush so hard I had to set the book down. But Devash isn’t just about the lines that make you blush. It’s about how he looks at Akshara like she’s the only one who matters, how he tries again and again to show her she’s worth loving, how his presence feels like something you can trust.
If Akshara is a storm of overthinking, Devash is the calm after it. He feels like balance, like a steady hand reaching out to someone who’s convinced they’ll drown. He is, simply, the embodiment of love that heals instead of hurts.
The Soundtrack of Devash If Devash were a song, he would be “Daylight” by Taylor Swift. Because that’s what he is, her daylight. After all the failed relationships, the pain, the endless cycle of doubts, he is the reminder that love can be bright, hopeful, and safe. He is not the kind of love that burns and destroys; he is the kind that warms and restores.
He’s also “Love Song”.Because he’s the balance to Akshara’s intensity, the calm voice in the middle of her storm, the man who steadies her without ever dimming her fire. He is grounding without being overbearing, soft without being weak, loving without being possessive.
Together: A Red String Story What makes this book so powerful is not just Akshara or Devash separately, but the way they are together. Their story gave me strong red string theory vibes the feeling that no matter what paths they took, no matter what mistakes or heartbreaks lay in the past, they were always meant to find each other.
Their banter was sharp and hilarious, their silences heavy with tension, their chemistry undeniable. One chapter had me laughing, the next had me crying, and the next left me clutching the book to my chest because I couldn’t handle the way Devash looked at her. And the scene where Akshara was trapped with relatives interrogating her about her love life while she was thinking those exact thoughts? I had to laugh at the timing, because I’ve lived that moment with my own titas. It was like the book was pulling from my life.
Their love story is not just romantic it’s healing. It’s about choosing again after pain, about risking again after heartbreak. It’s about learning that love doesn’t have to be destructive or terrifying; it can be soft, patient, and full of light.
Final Thoughts This book wasn’t just a romance for me. It was an experience. It was about family, about the bonds that shape us. It was about laughter in the middle of sadness. It was about two people who carried their own pain but somehow found the courage to reach for each other anyway.
Akshara made me laugh, cry, and feel seen in ways I didn’t expect. Devash made me melt, but more than that, he made me believe in the kind of love that heals. Together, they gave me a story that I won’t forget any time soon.
I’m grateful the author sent this book my way. Because it wasn’t just a story I read it was one I lived in, one that stayed with me, and one that reminded me of how beautiful love can be when it’s steady, patient, and full of light.

Review of Fling to Forever by Manisha Vashist. Ratings ~ 4/5
"Some flings end at goodbye. Ours began at one."
“Fling to Forever” by Manisha Vashist is a beautifully balanced contemporary Indian rom-com that blends passion with vulnerability, laughter with healing, and chaos with calm. It tells the story of Akshara Sharma, a fierce and emotionally guarded journalist, and Devesh Oberoi, a brooding but tender billionaire CEO. What begins as a one-night fling—meant to be meaningless—evolves into something that tests both their emotional walls and their capacity to love again.
Akshara’s character feels deeply human—vulnerable yet sharp-tongued, self-reliant yet starved for connection. Her emotional restraint comes from past heartbreak, and the book handles her trauma with sensitivity rather than dramatization. Devesh, on the other hand, embodies the “soft alpha”—powerful yet quietly empathetic. He listens, he notices, and he respects Akshara’s boundaries while gently breaking through them. Their chemistry is undeniable, a spark that transforms into genuine warmth as they navigate misunderstandings, family turbulence, and the unpredictability of love.
Manisha Vashist’s prose is crisp, cinematic, and refreshingly modern. She captures the Indian setting—from the chaos of a big fat Punjabi wedding to moments of quiet reflection—with authenticity. The writing never slips into melodrama; it’s full of banter, emotional beats, and small, stunning details that make the romance feel lived-in. The narrative thrives on contrast: Akshara’s witty internal dialogue against Devesh’s composed affection, and laughter punctuating vulnerability. The dialogue often sparkles with intimacy and humour, keeping the tone both youthful and emotionally grounded.
At its heart, this isn’t just a love story—it’s a journey of healing, self-worth, and second chances. The book redefines what “forever” means after heartbreak: it’s not about perfection or fairy tales; it’s about choosing love again despite fear. The sisterly bond between Akshara and Samaira adds tenderness and familial authenticity, lending weight to the emotional arc. The story’s message—that love doesn’t fix you, it meets you where you are—is what makes it linger long after the final page.
The novel shines in its character development and emotional layering. Akshara isn’t rescued; she grows. Devesh’s vulnerability feels refreshing in a genre prone to rigid archetypes. The spicy scenes are tastefully written, blending physical desire with genuine intimacy.
Sometimes I felt that Devesh occasionally verges on being too perfect, though this doesn't significantly detract from the story. The third-act conflict felt slightly forced to a few reviewers, but the resolution remains satisfying
“Fling to Forever” is immersive and real—a rom-com that laughs, aches, and heals with you. It’s for those who have loved, lost, and questioned if love is still worth the risk. Manisha Vashist doesn’t just deliver a romance; she offers emotional honesty wrapped in warmth and cultural charm.
"How could I forget the most beautiful woman I've met? You think a night with you could ever be just another memory when you've become the reason I question everything, I thought I knew about love?"

🩶 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓 Manisha Vashist does it again and she does it beautifully. Fling to Forever is the kind of romance that doesn't just make your heart race, it wraps around it like a warm, chaotic hug and refuses to let go. The chemistry? Off the charts. The banter? Chef's kiss. The tension? I was kicking my feet and grinning like a fool. (My cheeks still hurt.)
Akshara is everything I want in a female lead: fiery, emotional, strong, and never apologizing for it. She’s the storm you want to get caught in. And Devesh? I don’t know who this man thinks he is, but he just claimed the "Best MMC Ever" crown and walked off with it. He’s intense in the softest, most worshipful way. Every word he speaks? Highlight-worthy.
The plot hits just right with Akshara done with love after too many heartbreaks, and Devesh having no room for it. One spontaneous night together was supposed to mean nothing. But the way they fall? It feels like fate had other plans.
And the best surprise? Seeing Samaira and Aryan again from Can First Love Be Forever? It felt like bumping into old friends who still love each other just as fiercely. My heart!

GIRL, HEAR ME OUT!!! 🤩 I finished reading "Fling to Forever" by Manisha Vashist, and I'm so so in love with Devesh and the book ofc! 🤭 This book is seriously a game-changer, and I'm not even kidding when I say it's one of the best rom-coms I've read in a long time! 💖
The story follows Akshara Sharma, a fiery and independent journalist who's sworn off love after a string of heartbreaks, and Devesh Oberoi, a billionaire tech CEO who's got his own set of emotional baggage. They meet at a club, have a wild night, and then fate decides to bring them together again at her sister's wedding (where Devesh is the groom's best man, LOL what are the chances?! 🤣).
From the moment they reconnect, the chemistry between them is palpable! 🔥 Devesh is this perfect blend of brooding intensity and patient, tender love, while Akshara is sassy, emotional, and real. Their banter is EVERYTHING, and I died laughing at some of their exchanges! 😂 I loved how Devesh patiently courts Akshara, giving her space to open up, and how Akshara's walls start to crumble under Devesh's gentle touch. 🌟
What I loved most about this book is how beautifully it balances humor, spice, and emotional depth. The author handles sensitive topics like Akshara's past and Devesh's complicated family dynamics with such care and thoughtfulness. 🌟 The way the author writes the emotional moments had me feeling all the feels - I was right there with Akshara, feeling her pain and her joy. 😊
The supporting characters, like Samaira and Aryan (from the author's previous book), add warmth and continuity to the story. I loved seeing them again and can't wait to dive into their story! 💕 Their cameos were a lovely bonus, and I'm excited to read more about them.
The way Devesh and Akshara's relationship unfolds is just magical. It's like they're two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together, despite their initial resistance to love. 😍 Their journey is full of surprises, laughter, and heartwarming moments that'll make you go "awww." IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS ONE, YOU'RE DEFINITELY MISSING OUT !!!!
Let there be silence as I finish this book- because words can hardly do justice to what I just felt. Honestly, there’s nothing that can fully describe the essence of this story. What started of as a romance novel quickly turned into something much deeper. The story of Devesh and Akshara, feels like a game of fate, the kind that made me believe in destiny all over again. This book has officially replaced some of the best-written romance novels on my shelf. It kept me hooked from day one and I really didn’t want it to end at all. The tension, slow burn, the emotional rollercoaster- it gave me everything. I lived through it, from giggling on the sofa one moment to sobbing the next. because this book gives it all. It’s a ride that gives it all—emotion, drama, longing, and above all, a deeply personal connection. Personally loved how beautifully Akshara’s character is defined. She is strong, independent and a little reckless right from the start. We see her go from the girl chasing a one night stand to a woman who dreams of a family with Devesh, and yet the youthful spark in her never fades. Her journey is emotional, complex, and oh-so-relatable. She’s a character built on dilemmas, yet she knows exactly where she stands. And that’s what I loved most about her. She’s one of those rare, badass heroines you want to root for, cry for, and maybe even become. And then there’s our Godly book boyfriend: Mr. CEO Devesh Oberoi. Yup, he is a hotshot CEO, but his character is written with surprising softness and realism. He never feels intimidating. Instead, he commands a kind of quiet authority that doesn’t scare you, but earns your respect. The dynamics between Akshara and Devesh? Simply amazing. She’s the first ray of sunshine to his long dark night and he is the calm to her chaos. Their chemistry brews beautifully, equal parts tension and tenderness. A proper chef’s kiss to the way their relationship is written. This book is a beautiful escape- one that makes you laugh, cry, and believe in love that changes your life. It’s the kind of story that makes you want to check off every dreamy item in it (my personal favourite? Driving a Porsche 911 at night- forever, if possible ;). The take the makes you hope if lover ever finds you, it turns your world upside down… just like it did for Akshara.
I just finished reading Fling to Forever and I’m crying in the corner because… how do I go back to real life after this?
This book didn’t just give me butterflies it gave me a whole damn hurricane of emotions. I was giddy, I was blushing, I was rooting so hard for them it hurt. This story has everything I ever want in a romance: the banter, the pining, the slow burn, the earning oh my god, the way love is earned in this book. The moment when friends turn lovers, that heart-dropping, breath-stealing shift? It’s done to perfection 🤌😭
Akshara is EVERYTHING. She’s strong, independent, layered, real. Her doubts about relationships, about losing herself if she falls for someone I felt all of that in my bones. And Devesh… Devesh is the dream. The way he sees her. The way he meets her where she is. The way he doesn’t try to “fix” her or dim her but instead proves she can be completely herself and still be completely loved. That she can be powerful and soft, guarded and open, independent and in love. He’s the kind of man every strong woman secretly hopes exists🤧.
And the book? It doesn’t just give you romance. It gives you truth. About Indian society. About the pressure women feel. About choosing yourself and still choosing love. It’s vulnerable and fearless all at once❤️🩹
I can’t even explain what this book did to me. It cracked me open. It held me. It reminded me that maybe, just maybe, someone like Devesh could exist. That I don’t have to shrink to be loved😭
And the author she reached out to me personally. Let me take my time. Let me fall in love with the story at my own pace. Cheered me on when I messaged her screaming “OH MY GOD THIS PART.” That matters. That connection matters🫶
I started this year wanting to discover Indian authors who write the kind of romance I crave and I found her. And this book? I’ll never stop screaming about it❤️ So if you’re someone who loves: • Banter that makes you grin like an idiot • Angst that punches you in the chest • Spice that leaves your heart racing • And love that earns its place in your soul
READ. THIS. BOOK.😫
And then come cry with me because Devesh isn’t real. 😭
Okay, so here’s the thing — this was only the third time I’ve read a book by an Indian author. The first was non-fiction, the second was none other than the classic Chetan Bhagat phase we all secretly went through, and then… I stumbled upon this book. And oh boy, am I glad I did.
I’ve always been a little hesitant with Indian romance authors — mostly because I thought they wouldn’t be able to pull off that spicy billionaire romance vibe I usually get from international books. You know, the kind with designer suits, glass offices, slow-burn stares, and the perfect balance of drama & desire. My fear? That the obvious conservative undertones of Indian culture would tone it down too much.
But oh man… how beautifully this author proved me wrong. 💫
The way the story integrates Indian culture with that glamorous, fast-paced billionaire world is chef’s kiss. It’s rich and indulgent, but it still feels real. The pacing? Perfect — no unnecessary dragging, just enough tension to keep me flipping pages like my life depended on it. The spice? 🌶️ Satisfying without losing the emotional depth.
Both the MMC and FMC are so well-written. They’re not just cardboard cutouts to carry the plot — their personalities are layered, their backstories are deeply connected to who they’ve become, and you can see the thought the author put into building them.
And let’s talk about the Indian family trauma woven into the narrative. Honestly, that was one of my favorite parts — because it added a raw, relatable touch that kept the book grounded. It made the romance even more compelling, showing that love isn’t just about candlelight dinners and grand gestures — it’s also about breaking free from old wounds.
All in all, this book was equal parts Desi warmth and billionaire sparkle. It gave me everything I wanted: drama, spice, heart, and just enough fantasy to make me dream, but not so much that it felt unreal.
Final verdict? This one’s staying on my shelf — not just as a one-time read, but as a “pull it out when you need to escape into a Desi-meets-Deluxe fantasy” kind of book. And honestly… I’m already low-key stalking the author to see when their next one drops. 📚✨
This is a promising read for those who enjoy a sizzling, strangers-to-lovers romantic comedy with a touch of unexpected twists!. I love how the Author writes the story so beautifully which swoons you and feels so realistic at the same time. She has become my favourite author when it comes to romance❤️.
I did not expect this level of chemistry between Akshara and Devesh it blew me away. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time, my cheeks were literally hurting! 😍
If Samaira and Aryan tugged at my heartstrings in ‘Can First Love Be Forever?’, Akshara and Devesh completely stole it! 😭 Revisiting Samaira and Aryan was so heartwarming felt like catching up with old friends after ages. 🥹 Akshara is such a strong, independent female lead—exactly how an FMC should be! She’s unapologetically herself, emotional, and rebellious. I adored her character! And Devesh? Wow, he deserves the best MMC award! 🙊 Seriously, who are you Devesh Oberoi? He’s like a dream come true, strong yet so kind, and all he wants is to share his heart with Akshara. The tension between them is off the charts! 🥵 You might need a fan! 🙊
Manisha Vashist has crafted a story with a compelling premise: Akshara, after a series of heartbreaks, is done with romance until a wild, no-strings-attached night with a hot stranger. Devesh, a billionaire CEO with no time for relationships, finds himself drawn to Akshara's vibrant and chaotic nature.
Every word Devesh said had me marking up pages, not just lines🙈. He totally worships Akshara🥹. I loved how they both, who swore off love, chose to trust themselves, face their fears together, and grow through it all forever😭.
The central conflict – Akshara's resistance versus Devesh's persuasion – promises plenty of tension and chemistry. The question of whether they'll risk everything for something real adds an intriguing layer to the classic romantic comedy setup.
If you're looking for a book that combines a lighthearted and humorous tone with a strong romantic connection and a touch of the unexpected, "Fling to Forever" could be just the ticket.
A Delightfully Entertaining Rom-Com with Heart, Heat, and Humor!
Akshara, a bold and independent journalist, has officially sworn off men. After a string of disappointing relationships, she’s decided to focus on herself—no distractions, no drama, and definitely no romance.
Devesh, a reserved yet brilliant tech billionaire, is gearing up to take his company public. Since the tragic loss of his parents, he’s kept his circle small and his emotions even smaller. Until one night, at a club, fate throws him into the path of the firecracker that is Akshara.
From their very first meeting, sparks fly—but it's more than just physical. For Devesh, there's something magnetic and unexplainably deep about Akshara. For Akshara, however, this is everything she’s trying to avoid.
Will she be able to put her guard down and take a chance on love again? Or will Devesh become just another name on her list of regrets?
This book is a refreshing, fast-paced rom-com that perfectly blends sass, wit, and raw emotion. The wedding backdrop adds a lovely dose of celebration and chaos, enriching the narrative with color, culture, and vibrant energy.
Akshara is one of those characters you can’t help but root for. Fierce, unapologetically real, and witty with a touch of vulnerability—she’s the modern woman who knows what she wants, and more importantly, what she doesn’t.
Devesh? He’s a dream. Smart, incredibly patient, grounded despite his wealth, and the way he quietly supports Akshara through her highs and lows is nothing short of swoon-worthy. And yes, he cooks pasta—deliciously, might I add.
The chemistry between Akshara and Devesh sizzles from page one, and the emotional beats are handled with sensitivity and care. Their journey from a spark of attraction to a deeper emotional connection is both believable and satisfying.
Overall, a fabulous, feel-good romance that serves up laughter, longing, and love in perfect portions. Highly recommended for fans of strong female leads, patient and lovable heroes, and stories that leave you smiling at the end.
I finished Fling to Forever in less than 24 hours and I have exactly zero regrets. Akshara and Devesh walked in, set my reading soul on fire, and left me in a puddle of feels.
Let's start with Akshara Sharma, an emotionally, closed-off and independent woman. She does not believe in love & she has her own reasons. Watching her slowly fall for Devesh Oberoi was truly satisfying. Devesh is a brooding & emotionally intense billionaire. The way he falls for Akshara feels just like pehli nazar mein pyaar-instant, magical, and deeply heartfelt. Their chemistry was absolutely amazing.
One night. That's all it was supposed to be. But fate clearly had other plans. When they meet again at Akshara's sister's wedding-who just happens to be marrying Devesh's best friend-it feels like the universe is gently nudging them back together, with perfect timing and undeniable intent.
I really liked how their personal struggles were shown in the story. Akshara's painful past & Devesh's complicated bond with his father were written in a thoughtful & sensitive way.
I haven't read Can First Love Be Forever? yet, so I met Samaira and Aryan as side characters in this book. But now, I'm totally hooked & can't wait to dive into their story.
Some moments from Fling to Forever that are forever etched in my heart: •The first time Akshara and Devesh lock eyes at the club the tension was electric & unforgettable. •That intimate dinner at Devesh's apartment, where vulnerability met quiet love it was honest & full of longing. •The mirror scene bold, breathtaking & charged with passion. •The beach afterparty, where their playful banter turned into something deeper and more real under the stars. •Akshara breaking down & finally letting her guard down-raw & beautifully written. •Devesh's entire existence.
If you love billionaire romances, strong & sassy heroines, slow-burn flings that turn forever, witty banter with emotional depth & a mix of sisterhood, soft men & steamy moments, then Fling to Forever is your perfect next read.

They met when neither of them believed in love. A fling was all it was supposed to be - temporary, thrilling, and without consequences. But in this book, the author proves that even the most casual connections can unravel past wounds and pave the way to healing, trust, and yes, forever.
When Akshara Sharma and Devesh Oberoi cross paths, neither of them is looking for love. She’s fierce, guarded, and convinced love only leads to heartbreak. He’s a successful billionaire CEO with no interest in commitments. What starts as a one-time, anonymous fling quickly turns into something deeper, through lingering glances at her sister’s wedding, accidental moments, and a slow-burning connection that refuses to be ignored.
Akshara’s character is strikingly real, confident on the outside but deeply shaped by her past. Watching her slowly peel back her layers and make space for vulnerability is one of the most touching parts of the book. Devesh, on the other hand, is refreshing in the world of romance heroes. He’s emotionally intelligent, patient, and incredibly respectful - the kind of man who doesn’t try to fix her but waits for her to feel safe with him.
Their chemistry crackles, but what truly makes this book special is the author’s thoughtful storytelling. The author brings a balance of humor, tension, emotion, and depth that turns this from a typical romance into something personal and healing. The author’s prose is fluid and engaging, and the dual POV makes you feel equally connected to both characters.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a big fat Indian wedding, with its rituals, colors, chaos, and heartwarming traditions, this story comes alive with both authenticity and charm.
Witty, warm, and full of heart, this book is not just about falling in love, it’s about finding someone who sees you fully, and still stays. A comforting, feel-good romance that lingers long after the final page.
Fling to Forever by Manisha Vashisht is not just a steamy romance. It's one of those books that grabs you by the heart from the very first chapter and doesn't let go, even long after you've turned the last page. I felt kinda same when I read Can First Love Be Forever? But Manisha has truly outdone herself with this one. At the center of the story is Akshara Sharma- A woman who's been through enough to build walls sky-high around her heart and has sworn off men. She's strong, but tired. Guarded, but vulnerable. Witty and fiercely independent- exactly the kind of FMC I love reading about. Every decision she made, every wall she built around herself, felt justified. She felt real. There's a constant war inside her between wanting to protect her peace and wanting to believe in love again. Then enters Devesh Oberoi in her life, who makes her fall in love again, while he himself doesn't believe in it. A character I won't shut up talking about ever. He's a successful billionaire CEO who is confident, smart, but has been through so much. The way Manisha has written this character, I can't explain it. Every single word coming out of this man's mouth made me scream and stare at the wall. He didn't just want her; he saw her real side and worshipped her like a goddess. Their chemistry was fire. And this isn't another typical 'rich guys meet broken girl story.' It's about two people who didn't expect love, weren't ready for it, but couldn't escape it either. I love how the author made Samaira and Aryan equally important parts of the story, and it made me fall in love with them all over again. This book is for all the hopeless romantics who love stories with a mix of steam, sass, heart, and healing. It's that kind of love story that makes you believe that love, the real kind, comes when you least expect it.. and changes everything!
Fling To Forever opens with a classic opposites-attract setup—Akshara, a reckless, big-city girl who avoids emotional attachments, and Devesh, a quiet billionaire with a lonely past. Their worlds collide in a spontaneous hook-up at a club, a moment charged with mystery and chemistry. They part ways without even exchanging details, treating each other like strangers. Months later, fate brings them back together when Akshara’s sister marries Devesh’s best friend—setting the stage for a deeper connection and the journey toward their happily ever after.
At first, I struggled to connect with Akshara’s character. Her impulsive, detached attitude felt distant and hard to relate to. There wasn’t enough backstory to help me understand why she was the way she was, which created a bit of a disconnect. But as the story unfolded, something shifted. Despite being so different from me, Akshara’s character started to make sense, and I began to appreciate her growth. Her transformation felt natural and satisfying.
Devesh, on the other hand, won my heart right from the start. His emotional depth, quiet strength, and vulnerability gave the story an anchor. The chemistry between Akshara and Devesh is undeniable—it simmers, builds, and beautifully matures as the narrative progresses. Their relationship is not just physical; it becomes emotionally layered and real.
Another thing I appreciated was the writing style. It starts off decent but noticeably improves as the story develops. The dialogue feels more genuine, the emotions are better articulated, and the pacing becomes more engaging.
Overall, Fling To Forever is a heartfelt, chemistry-driven romance that takes time to bloom—but once it does, it’s worth it. If you’re into stories where flawed characters grow into love, and fate plays a playful matchmaker, this one’s for you.

"Fling to Forever" is a light-hearted and delightful romance that brings together ambition, chemistry, and unexpected connection. Manisha Vashist crafts an engaging tale around Devesh Oberoi, the youngest and most successful CEO in the country, hot, handsome, and determined to avoid distractions, and Akshara, a passionate content creator running a short news cum social issues channel on Instagram, inching closer to her dream of becoming a real journalist.
Their story begins with a serendipitous encounter that creates an instant connection. Devesh, who usually shuns attachments, finds something oddly peaceful in Akshara’s presence. On the other hand, Akshara, burned by past experiences, has sworn off men. They part ways just as quickly as they meet, but fate has other plans.
When their paths cross again amidst the chaos and charm of a wedding celebration, sparks fly once more. Their undeniable chemistry is hard to ignore. Devesh is certain about his feelings, but Akshara carries a history that makes her hesitant to give her heart so easily. Devesh is everything one would want in a life partner. He supports her like no one else. He has his own special ways to charm not only Akshara but readers as well. He does not disappoint anyone.
I would have loved to read more about the past, especially Devesh's family history, in greater detail. It could have added emotional depth that would make the story even more meaningful. Personally, I felt Devesh was a perfect man, and at times, it seemed like Akshara took him a bit for granted. I understand she had her own struggles and reasons, but I really liked Devesh a lot.
This is a feel good read that will leave you smiling, a perfect pick for lovers of modern romance.
