It was a cute strangers to lovers rom-com full of love, banters, and emotional and swoon-worthy moments.
Akshara was fiery and bold and due to some past incidents is emotionally reserved. At first, I felt somewhat disconnected from her due to her detached behaviour but as the story progressed I got to understand her pov and I really like how the sensitive topic of her part is written in the book and the way she opens up her heart and heal through the book is reading worthy.
Devesh was so good, charming and patient with Akshara.
I would have loved to know more about his family story though. Samaira and Aryan make a comeback from the previous book and I was so happy to find them in this story...
Loved Akshara and Devesh's chemistry and growth throughout the plot. It has so many sassy, cute and beautiful moments and I loved them all.

This book started out with a bang! I loved how the two officially met, then all the circumstances why they couldn't move forward. It was great. Akshara has some type of past trauma but you never hear anything about it, even in her thoughts. Nothing is given away here. Then a bomb is dropped and I struggled because I feel like her actions should have been a little bit different considering what happened. I don't care when it happened, at what point do you get over that for certain situations? This fact didn't ruin the story for me because there was so much more to the story but for the MFCs character development, the thought kinda hung around when I was trying to connect with her and her actions. Devesh was amazing! He definitely heats up a room!

The story is about Akshara who is freshly wounded from past love, enters a carefree fling with a mysterious stranger and the best part is that she is unaware he’s billionaire CEO Devesh Oberoi until fate decides otherwise. From the very first page, they had me smiling and giggling, the slow-burn tension had me hooked, and the emotional vulnerability they share feels real and deeply satisfying.
What stands out to me is how Akshara’s journey from guarded and sceptical to hopeful and trusting felt deeply personal, her growth totally resonated with me. And Devesh, with his calm confidence and emotional intelligence, isn’t a stereotypical billionaire hunk; he’s patient, supportive, and the definition of a green-flag hero.

I picked this up expecting a light, flirty rom-com and it delivered that and so much more. Akshara Sharma is not an average romance heroine. She’s fiery, vulnerable, hilarious, and heartbreakingly real. And Devesh Oberoi? He’s the kind of billionaire you want in a romance novel emotionally repressed, brooding, but slowly softening in the warmth of her chaos. 🥹

I really enjoyed this book! 💜
The book tells the story of Akshara, a young woman whose trust in men is shattered after discovering her boss, with whom she had a close relationship, is already married. After this, she looks only for distraction and she went to the club and there she mets Devesh. What she thought would be a one-time encounter slowly turns into something much deeper, especially as fate continues to bring them together through her sister’s marriage.
I found Akshara to be a relatable and admirable person. She is simple, principled, and sensitive, yet also deeply scarred by her past. Her hesitation and fear of commitment felt very realistic, making her eventual growth even more touching.🥹
Deveshis the kind of man many would hope for wealthy but grounded, persistent yet gentle. His patience and determination to win Akshara over made him a standout character.
What I enjoyed most was the gradual development of their relationship. It showed the struggle between fear and desire, heartbreak and healing. By the end, their love felt genuine and deserved, leaving me with a sense of hope and satisfaction.🥰

This book?! OMG 🤌🏻 I started this book by enjoying the banter between Akshara and Devesh. They are a power couple! And then towards the end, I had sad and happy tears! Well, a lot happened in these 250 pages. This couple is filled with surprises, and of course, spice.
Devesh is such a Greek God! He is quite an interesting person because of all his talents - brooding CEO, excellent cook, hot driving skills and what not! And this is the guy every man should take inspiration from (to be the perfect boyfriend/husband 🤭). Akshara is the strong independent woman, and we hardly see characters like her in books these days. I'm really very proud of her!
The author has done a commendable job in building out the plot and creating the characters with flaws that soon diminsh because of perfect character development.
You'll find characters from the author's another book - Can First Love Be Forever? But it's alright if you haven't read that one since both these books are standalone.

I absolutely loved this book. From the very first page to the last, it was addictive. It kept me hooked throughout, and I finished it in just two days. The chemistry between Devesh and Akshara was mind-blowing. Devesh Oberoi is the definition of a gentleman—he has my whole heart. I lost count of the giggles I giggled whenever he spoke. Akshara is just as amazing—fierce on the outside and soft on the inside. The way Devesh cracked her armor and made her open up emotionally was beautiful 🤌🏼

I had a very good time with this novel! I liked both main characters, although the MMC felt a bit too perfect to be true, I tend to prefer characters who are a little rough around the edges, like the FMC, for example, which i could totally identify with.
I loved the dynamic between them and how naturally their relationship developed over the course of several events. I also appreciated the dual POVs, which gave better insight into each character. The writing style was engaging and flowed really well, which made the book very easy to get into, it was a truely good mood read 💙
The two reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars are:
I wish the trauma event discussed about two-thirds into the book had been explored more deeply to better understand the family dynamics and the FMC’s psyche (although I understand this is a romcom/light romance, which might explain why it wasn’t).
There were quite a few explicit sex scenes, which I’m generally not a fan of in any book (I prefer closed-door romance) and there was quite a lot of it in this one.
Overall, it was a very fun and easy-to-read book, with a little more depth than you’d expect from your typical romcom and a very loving/ modern FMC . And if you're into spicy/steamy 🌶️ scenes, you'll absolutely love it!

What a cute rom com! I loved the two main characters and their interactions together. If you want an absolute cinnamon hero who would do anything for the heroine, then this is for you! Although I enjoyed it, I was left wanting a little more. I think it would have been interesting to dive more into the culture. There were so many cultural words/customs that I was unfamiliar with that I looked up in order to truly understand the story. The conflict at the end also felt random as there was no mention of it or build up to it at all. I think this story could have really benefited from a dual POV in order to provide some more details and backstory. It was a cute read and I'm interested to see what the author releases next!

This book completely took me by surprise- in the best way possible. What began as a spark in the dark, a wild and unexpected night, slowly blossomed into something warm and comforting 🫂.
Akshara: I absolutely loved her. I felt an instant connection with her. Her strength, her sass, and the way her character was written without being overly dramatic made her feel real. After everything she’s been through (none of which she deserved), the way she carried herself and eventually allowed her walls to come down really hit me 🥹.
Devesh: I loved him too, but what made me adore him even more was that he wasn’t your typical fictional male. He listens, he cares, he learns, and he’s so gentle with her. Watching him go from emotionally unavailable to showering his woman with love and patience was just beautiful 😍🤌🏻
The chemistry between them was great. Their cute nicknames? Surprisingly decent (trust me, I’ve heard worse 😅). Their banter had me giggling, the tension kept me hooked, and their vulnerable moments added the emotional depth this story needed 🫶🏼.

Let there be silence as I finish this book- because words can hardly do justice to what I just felt. Honestly, there’s nothing that can fully describe the essence of this story. What started of as a romance novel quickly turned into something much deeper. The story of Devesh and Akshara, feels like a game of fate, the kind that made me believe in destiny all over again. This book has officially replaced some of the best-written romance novels on my shelf. It kept me hooked from day one and I really didn’t want it to end at all. The tension, slow burn, the emotional rollercoaster- it gave me everything. I lived through it, from giggling on the sofa one moment to sobbing the next. because this book gives it all. It’s a ride that gives it all—emotion, drama, longing, and above all, a deeply personal connection. Personally loved how beautifully Akshara’s character is defined. She is strong, independent and a little reckless right from the start. We see her go from the girl chasing a one night stand to a woman who dreams of a family with Devesh, and yet the youthful spark in her never fades. Her journey is emotional, complex, and oh-so-relatable. She’s a character built on dilemmas, yet she knows exactly where she stands. And that’s what I loved most about her. She’s one of those rare, badass heroines you want to root for, cry for, and maybe even become. And then there’s our Godly book boyfriend: Mr. CEO Devesh Oberoi. Yup, he is a hotshot CEO, but his character is written with surprising softness and realism. He never feels intimidating. Instead, he commands a kind of quiet authority that doesn’t scare you, but earns your respect. The dynamics between Akshara and Devesh? Simply amazing. She’s the first ray of sunshine to his long dark night and he is the calm to her chaos. Their chemistry brews beautifully, equal parts tension and tenderness. A proper chef’s kiss to the way their relationship is written. This book is a beautiful escape- one that makes you laugh, cry, and believe in love that changes your life. It’s the kind of story that makes you want to check off every dreamy item in it (my personal favourite? Driving a Porsche 911 at night- forever, if possible ;). The take the makes you hope if lover ever finds you, it turns your world upside down… just like it did for Akshara.

This book didn’t just give me butterflies it gave me a whole damn hurricane of emotions. I was giddy, I was blushing, I was rooting so hard for them it hurt. This story has everything I ever want in a romance: the banter, the pining, the slow burn, the earning oh my god, the way love is earned in this book. The moment when friends turn lovers, that heart-dropping, breath-stealing shift? It’s done to perfection 🤌😭
Akshara is EVERYTHING. She’s strong, independent, layered, real. Her doubts about relationships, about losing herself if she falls for someone I felt all of that in my bones. And Devesh… Devesh is the dream. The way he sees her. The way he meets her where she is. The way he doesn’t try to “fix” her or dim her but instead proves she can be completely herself and still be completely loved. That she can be powerful and soft, guarded and open, independent and in love. He’s the kind of man every strong woman secretly hopes exists🤧.
And the book? It doesn’t just give you romance. It gives you truth. About Indian society. About the pressure women feel. About choosing yourself and still choosing love. It’s vulnerable and fearless all at once❤️🩹

I finished Fling to Forever in less than 24 hours and I have exactly zero regrets. Akshara and Devesh walked in, set my reading soul on fire, and left me in a puddle of feels.
Let's start with Akshara Sharma, an emotionally, closed-off and independent woman. She does not believe in love & she has her own reasons. Watching her slowly fall for Devesh Oberoi was truly satisfying. Devesh is a brooding & emotionally intense billionaire. The way he falls for Akshara feels just like pehli nazar mein pyaar-instant, magical, and deeply heartfelt. Their chemistry was absolutely amazing.
One night. That's all it was supposed to be. But fate clearly had other plans. When they meet again at Akshara's sister's wedding-who just happens to be marrying Devesh's best friend-it feels like the universe is gently nudging them back together, with perfect timing and undeniable intent.
I really liked how their personal struggles were shown in the story. Akshara's painful past & Devesh's complicated bond with his father were written in a thoughtful & sensitive way.

Let's start with Akshara Sharma, an emotionally, closed-off and independent woman. She does not believe in love & she has her own reasons. Watching her slowly fall for Devesh Oberoi was truly satisfying. Devesh is a brooding & emotionally intense billionaire. The way he falls for Akshara feels just like pehli nazar mein pyaar-instant, magical, and deeply heartfelt. Their chemistry was absolutely amazing.
One night. That's all it was supposed to be. But fate clearly had other plans. When they meet again at Akshara's sister's wedding-who just happens to be marrying Devesh's best friend-it feels like the universe is gently nudging them back together, with perfect timing and undeniable intent.

Fling to Forever by Manisha Vashisht is not just a steamy romance. It's one of those books that grabs you by the heart from the very first chapter and doesn't let go, even long after you've turned the last page. I felt kinda same when I read Can First Love Be Forever? But Manisha has truly outdone herself with this one.
At the center of the story is Akshara Sharma- A woman who's been through enough to build walls sky-high around her heart and has sworn off men. She's strong, but tired. Guarded, but vulnerable. Witty and fiercely independent- exactly the kind of FMC I love reading about. Every decision she made, every wall she built around herself, felt justified. She felt real. There's a constant war inside her between wanting to protect her peace and wanting to believe in love again.
Then enters Devesh Oberoi in her life, who makes her fall in love again, while he himself doesn't believe in it. A character I won't shut up talking about ever. He's a successful billionaire CEO who is confident, smart, but has been through so much. The way Manisha has written this character, I can't explain it. Every single word coming out of this man's mouth made me scream and stare at the wall. He didn't just want her; he saw her real side and worshipped her like a goddess.
Their chemistry was fire. And this isn't another typical 'rich guys meet broken girl story.' It's about two people who didn't expect love, weren't ready for it, but couldn't escape it either.

At first, I struggled to connect with Akshara’s character. Her impulsive, detached attitude felt distant and hard to relate to. There wasn’t enough backstory to help me understand why she was the way she was, which created a bit of a disconnect. But as the story unfolded, something shifted. Despite being so different from me, Akshara’s character started to make sense, and I began to appreciate her growth. Her transformation felt natural and satisfying.

He fell in love with her so hard he kept pursuing her, surprising her, making her feel like a princess but she was scared as this was all good to be true, a dashing billionaire falling for a simple girl but why? What was in her past that she kept resisting him? Are they meant to be forever or just a fling? Will Devesh be able to win her trust? Do look forward for all those Indian Romance drama in this novel.
🗣️My opinion - Well i am not much into reading romance novels anymore i am past that age, guilty as charged! This is not new romance novel we have not read before but i did feel myself smiling time to time while reading it as it have an element of humour and after all i am a girl who still fantasize the imperfectly perfect love story. Well who don't?
