Blood & Bone Legacy #1

Walk The Line (Special Edition)

Rate this book
It was supposed to be simple: Film the tour. Build my portfolio. And for Heavens sake, keep it in my pants.

Then I met Felix Krasinski.

The captivating and infuriatingly cocky frontman of Velvet Drift commands attention everywhere he goes—including mine. Am I proud of it? No. I’m supposed to be filming their performance, not fantasizing about his perfect abs. I’m determined to be taken seriously, and hooking up with the ridiculously hot rockstar is the fastest way to tank my credibility.

Felix is always in control, and I am an impulsive rule-breaker. We don’t make sense. But we can’t seem to stay away from each other.

Because, between his uptight habits and annoyingly perfect jawline, there's more to Felix than his stage presence and legendary last name. He’s protective, vulnerable, and gets me in a way no one else does.

But my career depends on keeping things professional, and his future hinges on staying laser-focused on his band's success.

Every heated argument, every stolen kiss, makes me want to throw caution—and professionalism—to the wind.

One thing’s certain—this summer tour is about to get a lot more complicated than I bargained for.

Walk the Line is the first book in the Blood & Bone and Turn it Up second generation series crossover. Grab this new adult, angsty, forced proximity, steamy contemporary rockstar romance. Walk the Line can be read as a standalone.

Fantastic Rock Romance

What a great way to kick off the new series Blood and Bone Legacy. Felix and Maggie both have famous musicians for parents so they know all about the life. Now Felix wants to make his way as frontman to Velvet Drift and Maggie wants to stay behind the camera to film the band. I loved the interaction between these two. Felix had his act together and knew what he wanted and that included Maggie.

Fabulous! Just adore this story! Felix is on tour with his band and managed by a label that is not his father’s. Felix wants to make it on his own not ride his famous father’s coat tails. Maggie gets sent on this tour to solidify if film is her passion. maggie films the band, posts to social media and has a real talent and love for it! Felix and Maggie hit it off immediately. The story of them falling in love is so touching. Young as they are Felix is truly a man, a stand up guy who loves her with all he has. Of course there are a few hurdles to jump. But these two are Rock solid! Loved every minute of it!

Introducing the new world of Blood and Bone Legacy Series, and it's kicked off with Felix Krasinski and Maggie. Honestly, i am loving the cross-over in the book!

Felix and Mags are drawn to each other laced in playfulness that will fill your heart with such LOVE and joy. Their relationship blooms, and honestly, I'm allfrigginforit!

"𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩."

The suspense and drama that laces this book only heighten how determined and devoted Felix is towards Maggie that just has my heart swooning! Urgh, please can all men be like Felix!

“𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡, 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙞𝙚. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧, 𝙄 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙣.”

There is such brilliant humour within the book that has me howling with laughter. Natalie and Paula really have a beautiful way of incorporating humour, vunerabilities, and lyrics to sucker punch your heart!

The secondary characters such as Dusty and the crew play such a vital role within the book that just solidifies that loyalty is everything!

Felix and Maggie's romance & chemistry is real, raw and passionate, and that friggin ending has me 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬.I may have squealed at the ending whilst smiling like a chesire cat!!

What a phenomal start to the series!

I love getting to see the next generation of book couples I loved. These two are both the children of rockstars who know what tour life is like but learn that they were not prepared for what it actually meant.

Felix is all in from the beginning, focused only on Maggie. Maggie battles her own insecurities and fights her attraction. This creates that delicious tension that can't do anything but eventually explode! Add the excitement of a summer music festival tour and the antics of a new band getting to know each other for an engaging and entertaining, forget your responsibilities, sleep doesn't matter, story.

With the parents they had I was expecting a couple who had it all. Both Felix and Maggie had the looks, connections and confidence. But deep down they had the belief they weren’t quite enough.

Maggie was fun, she had a combative nature and had fun riling up Felix! I liked the fact he was so organised, tidy and healthy! Together they made sparks fly!

A great start to the series and I can’t wait to read more.

Felix and Maggie are goals! The way they came together and you could really feel the love. The family dynamics only added to the overall story. Dad talk for the win! Watching them discover themselves and each other was a great ride!

I loved Felix and Maggie's story. It was such a beautiful story to watch. I loved that Felix wasn't your typical Rockstar, and was a very easy character to fall in love with. I knew there had to be a wrench thrown into their relationship at some point but it wasn't really much of a wrench and felt that it was kind of not relevant. I loved the fun banter between the band and would have been ok with more of that. Dusty was a super fun side character as well. I wished the ending had just a little more but that's just me, I wasn't ready for their story to be over.

Quick Summary: A NA rocker romance

My Review: Walk the Line by Paula Dombrowiak & Natalie Parker is book #1 in the Blood & Bone Legacy series. It "is the first book in the Blood & Bone and Turn it Up second generation series crossover." The official release date is 4/22/25.

About the Book: "It was supposed to be simple: Film the tour. Build my portfolio. And for Heavens sake, keep it in my pants. Then I met Felix Krasinski.

Felix is always in control, and I am an impulsive rule-breaker. We don’t make sense. But we can’t seem to stay away from each other."

In My Own Words: A rockstar in the making meets a young woman on the move to bigger and better things for her life. When their worlds collide, both fall equally. When they become victims of their own success, what happens to their love?

About the Characters:

Felix: Let me begin by saying that I loved Felix. What a fantastic character! He was a great guy with a good heart. I appreciated his fierce need to establish himself, while at the same time valuing his family. His family ties gave an indication of how he was raised, who he was as a person, and what he valued most. He was a keeper, for sure.

Maggie: I loved her strength and determination. I also loved her quirky nature, as well as her insecurities. It made her real. She, like Felix, had a solid connection with her family, which was good to see. (The dad talk was priceless.)

Rockstar and Sass (the couple): As a couple, these two worked. So what if they were opposites? They had something special. From their initial meeting until what came to be their ending-beginning, they were sparks to flames.

Velvet Drift: I loved all the guys. I am totally looking forward to reading their stories. Who's next?

Dusty: He is the most! Cool daddy, for sure.

My Favorite Scenes (coded, so as to avoid spoilers):

The Elevator
She's With the Band
Don't Say It
On the Radio
While You Were Sleeping
Dublin

My Final Say: I love a rocker romance. This story had me all in my feelings. It came at the right time and was a sweet surprise. What got me was the love, man! (Oh, how I want to say more, but I will overshare on this one.) I just really liked this young love story. You could feel the intensity coming off the pages. It was fluff, but it was also stuff. It was a good time read that I would revisit, for sure.

Other: Readers who enjoy close proximity, rocker <3 worker love stories will definitely vibe with this entertaining read. It is all about the NA!

* This would be excellent as an audiobook. *

Loved!

If there's one thing that screams 'read me now', it's a second generation book or series by an author I really enjoy. Paula Dombrowiak's angsty Blood and Bone series was memorable and heads in this direction now. Together with Natalie Parker, they seemlessly created a new place where their magnetic characters connect and coexist in this well co-written story- a new adult crossover- Walk the Line- book one in the Blood and Bone Legacy series.

Maggie Morgan and Felix Krasinski meet in a fated clash of wills and personalities and the heat turns up from that moment on. Paired up for his debut tour, she reluctantly agrees to film and document the rise of Velvet Drift- a brand new band with Felix as the seemingly arrogant, charismatic frontman, ready to shed his famous father's shadow and find succeed on his own.

Hidden layers run deep, but Felix knows what's most important, even at 23. Under that on stage cockiness lies a warm, caring heart- not the typical rockstar at all. Wildly talented and gorgeous, inside and out, it was easy to be swept up in his gravitational pull. Maggie, girl- I think you're in a big heap of trouble!

Quirky, free spirited and full of SASS, Maggie's sense of adventure, curiousity and creativity make her tick and is her focus in Velvet Drift's festival touring schedule. She has her own agenda to stay on top of- do her job, prove her worth, and reach for her own star as a sought after young film maker. Intriguing rockerstars are not supposed to be part of the plan!

I was up late...or was it early? I'll admit, I lost track of time. This story had a hold on me with all the romance, spice and banter (hilarious or otherwise) I could want. The secondary characters were just as fun to explore, especially Dusty, the memorable, older, go-to band wrangler and all around surprising guy. Felix's band mates were a wild bunch, making themselves known with a tour bus full of enthusiasm for antics, spectacular or small.

The cherry on top for me was Maggie and Felix themselves- opposites in many ways, their complicated enchantment takes them to places they never expected to go and their sweet, romantic story left me hungry for more. Ms. Parker's characters were new to me at first, but it didn't take long for her swaggering frontman, Felix Krasinski, to steal the show and become my swoon-tastic hero by the end of this book.

I can't wait for more in depth knowledge of this musically centered next generation, their friends, the excitement of parental appearances and pearls of wisdom those OG's share in this evolving story. Looking forward to what's ahead already! Hey Jack... will I see you there???

*I received a complimentary copy to read and honestly review. These are my freely given thoughts of Walk the Line.

Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker take on a labor of love in the launch of the Blood & Bone Legacy series in Walk the Line for a book that will reel their audience in for more of this world!

Every Romance reader needs a Felix Krasinski in their library! Sincere and unjaded when Felix fell in love it was the real deal. Self-effacing charm wrapped up in a gorgeous rocker package the only question to be asked is how readers wouldn't fall in love with this guy.

Maggie Morgan came out of the pages like a sledgehammer smashing the world with her talent and likability. Outwardly full of life and mischief there was an underlying fragile vulnerability to her that was touching. Maggie had all the makings of a strong woman but still had the remnants of an unsure and untried young girl.

This couple were both in a place of transitioning into their dreams, becoming adults and making life-defining choices. In a nice twist Ms. Dombrowiak and Ms. Parker did a great job making Maggie prone to recklessness and making Felix the grounded sensible one in a scenario where traditionally and stereotypically the rock star character is the one to push boundaries. The physical and emotional connection between Felix and Maggie was off the charts from first contact building as this story progressed with wonderful witty dialog and meaningful moments between this couple!

Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker complimented each other's writing styles for a smooth blend of their worlds. Angst was abundant yet there was a lighthearted feel of people embarking on the beginning of their lives with a fearlessness that transitioned into one of questioning and weighing when things started to matter. Wonderful cameos of beloved past characters from both authors’ book catalogs fleshed out this work. Every secondary character contributed to this work from Dusty to the Velvet Drift band members to a bunch of legacy offspring for a story layered in depth and legacy.

Walk the Line set the stage for upcoming books in the Blood and Bones Legacy series by providing the proving grounds for the next generation to make their marks as their parents legacy provided the common driving force to do so. Walk the Line pulls out the substance, sass and a whole lot of rock and roll for a great series debut!

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. *

It is no secret I am a HUGE fan of Paula, each one of her books have stirred up all the feels and left me unable to put her books down. This new generation of the series where I first fell in love with her writings and story telling was the Blood and Bone series so it is amazing to see this new series come to fruition.

Felix and Morgan are both children of famous rock stars wanting to pave their own path and prove not only to the world they have talent in their own right by not riding the coat tails of their dad’s but also want to prove it to themselves they can make it on their own.

Felix is the front man to a new band Velvet Drift, he not only trying to make it on his own but see if the new band put together by his new label is going to work for him, his sound and his goals.

Maggie is a film maker that is new filmmaker  on the scene. She has just had a disappointing blow, where she is told she needs more experience. He life long friend Dylan head of Felix’s new label, suggests she go on tour with a new band he has just signed, Velvet Drift. She has no idea that this opportunity is not only going to skyrocket her career but change everything about her life forever.

Felix is instantly attracted to Maggie and her crazy antics to get the best shot. But Maggie knows how big of an opportunity she has for her career and doesn’t want to mix any sort of business with any bit of pleasure. As much as these two try to only focus on their jobs in make it or break it industry, they are just drawn to one another over and over again. Until they decide to throw all caution into the wind. Throwing it all out may have some negative aspects but in the end the heart truly wants what it wants. So throw some of your own caution into the wind and drop all your preconceived notifications of what a tour is like for a bunch of young rock stars and fall in love not only with Felix and Maggie’s hot and heavy relationship, but the relationships a new band form, friendships of a bunch ofnlife long friends share, and some truly crazy entertaining charters you will meet through out this story. I promise you will laugh a lot and even cry a little over this new generation

I went back and forth on whether I thought this book was better than average or just average, and I think it's in the middle. I am a huge rock star romance fan and have read tons of them.

In this book (which I believe is the beginning of a series featuring the children of the rock stars in her first series?), Felix (OMG the names in this book are similar, confusing, and also bad at the same time.) is the child of a former rock star, and wants to get out on his own. His record label puts him together with some session musicians to tour as a band called Velvet Drift.

Meanwhile Maggie (Magdalena!) is also the child of a rock family, and she wants to be a videographer. Her cousin, who runs Felix's record label, gives her a chance to film Velvet Drift's tour. She gets to know Felix and after a bit of "enemies to lovers", they start dating.

Felix is very into Maggie and even interrupts a show to save her from security, which is a bit much for a random band. Then the standard "you two are too young and are not giving yourselves a chance to start your careers" comes up. Often that is done in a manipulative way to get the story to progress, but this guilt trip to Maggie is really not that much pressure, though she takes it really seriously.

I liked the characters overall, though I did often get confused with Dex, Dusty and Dylan cause their names were so similar. Maggie was I guess shown as being immature by losing her pass which got her into the security mess, she was a total slob, etc, but she was kind of an annoying character. And there were more sex scenes than I would have expected when the book was overall more of a PG rated theme. They weren't overdone, there were just more of them than need be for an otherwise pretty tame book.. Felix saves Maggie from security, then they have sex behind the stage while the band is in the middle of playing to a festival crowd?! He stops another show to check to see if she is there?

That being said, I feel like this book was leading into a couple of other books (Dylan and Morgan / Dex and Ivy) and I'd be interested in trying those out.

I received an advanced copy and am giving an honest review.

Brilliant just Brilliant !!
Everyone who knows me are aware how much I LOVE Rockstar romances,so when I learned that Natalie Parker and Paula Dombrowiak were joining forces to create a whole new generation of Rockstars I was overjoyed!!!..I knew this book would be something special and I wasn't disappointed it was much more than I could have imagined.
Walk The Line is the 1st book in the Blood and Bone Legacy series combining Natalies TURN IT uP series and Paula's Blood and Bone series together..Creating a whole new world of ROCKSTARS to love and enjoy.
First kicking this series off we have Felix Kransinski and Maggie Morgan who both have parents who are famous Musicians,so they are no strangers to the Rockstar life style.
So immediately they have something in common and a mutual connection but they have no intention of falling in LOve.
Felix is the frontman for Velvet Drift the band he is in,following in his fathers footsteps,he wants to make a name for himself out of the shadow of his father's success and fame.
Maggie is assigned to join the band on tour to film footage of the band for her portfolio and wow she did not expect Felix.
I Love Felix he is a great frontman, has a super sexy presence and is really sweet too..Maggie is feisty has some insecurities and tries to fight her attraction to this mezmorising man.
I Love the banter between them and the sexual tension is breathtaking ,I love the anticipation of what would happen between them...I live for storylines like this.
I thoroughly enjoyed this love story and I am adoring the characters I have met so far..This is going to be an AMAZING series and Walk The Line is a Phenomenal beginning...I am in Rockstar heaven.
Natalie Parker and Paula Dombrowiak's writing is seamless and flawless great job ladies you really are Magic !!
Superb 5 Stars.

A Rock Star Romance with Heat, Heart, and Humor
Walk the Line by Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker is an absolute treat for fans of rockstar romances—especially if you’ve followed their previous series. As someone who adored both Turn it Up and Blood and Bone, this book felt like a perfect crossover gift. Felix, the son of Jack Krasinski, and Maggie, the daughter of Cash Morgan, carry the legacy of their iconic parents, but this story is all about them carving their own paths—and the chemistry they share while doing it.
Felix is everything I hoped he’d be—talented, charismatic, and a little bit of a lovable mess. Total swoon material. Maggie, a talented film maker, has her own journey to take, and watching her confidence grow was super satisfying, even if she tested my patience a bit early on. Still, her determination and eventual growth made her arc really compelling.
The banter between these two? Top tier. It’s witty, flirty, and sometimes downright hilarious. But there’s also real vulnerability under the surface, which makes their connection feel authentic. The slow burn and steamy moments are written so well—they definitely heat up the pages.
The backstage and on-tour scenes add a gritty, exciting vibe. I loved how Maggie’s film making skills were not just a plot point, but a true part of the story’s heart. Her work with Velvet Drift doesn’t just elevate the band—it lets her shine too.
Character development is strong all around, and while I’m a total sucker for Felix, I appreciated how both leads had room to grow. By the end, it’s clear they’re not just good for each other—they make each other better.
A must-read for fans of either series, and a delicious introduction for new readers. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this universe! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book! 4.5 stars.

I absolutely love when we get a 2nd generation series! This is the 1st book in the Blood & Bone Legacy which follows the offspring of the characters in Natalie’s Turn it Up Series & Paula’s Blood & Bone Series.

Felix is desperate to succeed on his own merit & not just because he’s Jack Krasinski’s son. Living in the shadow of his Father’s success has always been a bit of a struggle but he’s determined to show people what he can do. Stonewall Records is willing to give him a shot to forge his own path & set him up with a band to do a summer festival tour & see where it goes.
Maggie has the same problem as Felix in a sense. Being the daughter of a former band member of Mogo hasn’t exactly helped her get ahead in her budding film career. So she appeals to a longtime friend at Stonewall for some kind of chance to prove herself.
She gets it in the form of touring with up-and-coming band “Velvet Drift” for the Summer to help create buzz & promote via filming promos.
With both Felix & Maggie trying to prove their mettle in the entertainment world outside of the shadows cast by their famous parents they have everything to gain but even more to lose so focus is key.
Of course nothing works quite the way we envision it though does it? Their attraction is undeniable, the chemistry off the charts, falling for each other could derail all of their respective plans for the future. But life & love both don’t always operate with logic & sometimes in the pursuit of happiness, you just have to follow your heart.
“Where words fail, music speaks.”
Absolutely loved this book & cannot wait for future installments!

“Walk the Line: A New Adult, Forced Proximity Rockstar Romance (Blood & Bone Legacy Book 1) “by Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker is a rockstar romance between Felix Krasinski, the up-and-coming frontman of the rock group Velvet Drift, and photojournalist Maggie Morgan, who are brought together during a festival tour. Felix is the son of a legend in the band Turn It Up, but he is determined to succeed in the music industry based on his talent, not in his father’s shadow. Similarly, Maggie is the daughter of a member of the band Mogo, which is being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and she is eager to establish herself as a filmmaker. She has accepted the unpaid position of videotaping and photographing Velvet Drift during their tour. From their initial flirtation at a record label to falling in love on tour, where surprises arise. Maggie and Felix desire to explore “more” in their budding relationship, but their attempts to prioritize each other lead to disastrous results. With hearts involved and undeniable attraction, Maggie and Felix journey toward their HEA as Velvet Drift’s fame is catapulted due to Maggie’s photos and videos. “Walk the Line: A New Adult, Forced Proximity Rockstar Romance (Blood & Bone Legacy Book 1) by Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker is a new series that I can’t wait to read. The next installment will be about two record label owners. Paula Dombrowiak’s rockstar romances are unmatched, so be sure to check out her Blood and Bone series, which is a raw portrayal of imperfect people who happen to be infamous rockstars.

Walk The Line ; Blood & Bone Legacy Book 1 ) Tropes 🔥rockstar romance 🔥new adult 🔥forced proximity, and so many more !! Obsessed just obsessed!!! That’s exactly what I am with this absolutely amazing book and what is only the beginning of what’s surely going to be a new unforgettable and unputdownable new series . Maddie and Felix OMG Guys !!! These two were absolutely everything together!!! OMG !!! The way these two hooked me so completely ,the way their story pulled at all my heartstrings and had me laughing out loud , smiling like crazy even sobbing like a baby , yelling outta pure frustration and kept me cheering so freaking hard . Well I honestly do not think there really are any perfect words to express how in love with this story I fell !! Maggie is a up and coming videographer, and Felix is the front man for the rock band Velvet Drift !!! The last thing Maggie expected was to fall head over heels for Felix but that’s exactly what happens when she’s hired to film the band . All the humor and angst and with banter , the moments that were sweet and steamy and then heartbreaking and heartfelt, the love , the passion, the pain , the obstacles, the family and friendships, the complexities of each character , the phenomenal world building. I just could not get enough !! I’m such a sucker for next generation and rockstar romances and this is without a doubt the perfect blend of both !’

This was the first author duet book I’ve ever read and I didn’t know what to expect tbh. I’ve read Natalie before and loved the books I’ve read including See her which is Felix dad’s book. So when I heard his son was getting a story I knew I wanted it. Paula is a new author to me and based on some of the secondary characters and some of the back story of her past characters books I’ll be reading more of her as well.

The whole story flowed really well for me and being a reader who read Felix dad’s book, I kinda loved the path to his and Maggie’s story. Loved how Felix was such a great mix of his mom and dad. Maggie was a firecracker but I loved the vulnerable side she and Felix both had when it comes to their futures and careers. Him as a rock legends son wanting to make it on his own, her feeling like she has to prove to everyone including her own rock legend father that she is serious and can make being a filmmaker her future and be good at it.

There were amazing sweet moments along with the spicy, which were really great 😉. But I laughed quite a few
Times at all the antics that happened while Felix went on tour with his newly formed band. Maggie was the one who documented this and the rise of The band breaking it into the music industry. I’m positive you’ll laugh when you gets to the Pepe chapter 😂. Also love Dusty their road manager too and kinda wish he had a book honestly.

Here we go again a line from a rock song preformed by Whitesnake in 1982 makes me think of any book by this author Puala Dombrowiak will bring you to tears and have you feeling all the feels with her Rock Romance books and I will confess Natalie Parker is new to me as and author but I can see myself reading her books just as much as I have devoured the Blood and Bone series I am all in for Blood and Bone Legacy and Maggie and Felix are the perfect start to this series.

Maggie is spirited and she is alive free and willing to do whatever she has to to succeed in the film documentary industry and her chance comes with a charming if cocky frontman for a new band the Velvet Drift it's on tour and they need to build there reputation there both fighting for independence and recognition that has nothing to do with there famous parents she never expected fall for Felix and the trouble it would bring her.

Felix hardworking and in complete control with everything until Maggie her free spirit may just make him the Rockstar he always wanted to be it may come with a cost there romance is hot but Felix is more then a voice and a chiseled jaw he's the sweetness and caution Maggie needs her grounding force and there about to Collide in one hot romance.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review

This review could literally be 3 words to sum up my feelings about this book but I feel like it deserves so much more so here we go. The 3 words are: Quite Literally OBSESSED!!!

I could have devoured this in a day, but I was enjoying it so much I didn’t want it to end…so I read it in 3 days. The vibes? Immaculate. The tension? Spectacular. The plot, writing, and literally EVERYTHING about the book? Chef’s fucking kiss.

I was honestly not expecting to like this as much as I did and I’m SO glad I read it. I read the Kingmaker trilogy and devoured the fuck out of it and this was no different. This was my first rockstar romance and MAN I think this just unlocked my newest trope obsession. I really didn’t expect to like the rockstar trope, but this was done SO SO SO perfectly. The story is absolutely beautiful. I cannot for the life of me get this book out of my head. I finished about 14 hours ago, and read a whole ass other book, but I'm still playing scenes from this one over and over in my head. I literally can't think of one con even if I tried.

I think this may be my new favorite book. I haven’t read a true 5 star book that I can’t get out of my head in a while and this definitely takes the cake. If I could give 10 stars I would. Running to go buy a physical copy!

"It was supposed to be simple: Film the tour. Build my portfolio. And for Heavens sake, keep it in my pants."

I love these authors and their books and when I seen they where doing a Collab together, I squealed at the top of my lungs! I couldn't wait to get stuck into it. I couldn't pass it up. What a book! Such a great start to the blood and bone legacy series.

I was not putting it down once I started reading I was hooked from the start to end. It's such an emotional rollercoaster ride that will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat, it sucks you in and doesn't let go, while also breaking your heart into a million pieces just to put it back together again.

The characters where amazing their chemistry is undeniable and explosive, with a little game of push and pull. While Maggie kept denying it, Felix knew what he wanted and went after it. The storyline and plot was beautifully written. The authors done an incredible job. It's action packed with angst, spice, forced proximity, thrills, push and pull, and so much more.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series, highly recommend reading it! You won't be disappointed at all. I sure wasn't.

Dual POV. Ages: Felix is 23 and she’s 20. And I did have to remind myself about their age a few times because some of their reactions were very early 20s 😂.
Kind of cheesy banter and writing but it works for the story. A nice read for when you want something mostly light, some back and forth teasing, and some romance. This is a spin-off from 2 other series based on those characters’ kids. I haven’t read all of those and had no issues though if you like getting the character name drops and references then I would read them first. This is a standalone though.

Some dialogue and scenes seem a bit abrupt or forced to me which made it harder for me to fall into the story completely but it was cute overall. Some of the feeling was lacking though and I think it was because this is mostly dialogue and telling us things. I didn’t really feel a connection to the characters or who they are and what they feel and why.

SPOILERS below (one sentence of a complaint)

I absolutely fell head over heels for this story!!! @pauladombrowiak and Natalie Parker have unequivocally brought the house down with this rock star series starter!

I started my Paula Dombrowiak journey with the Kingmaker series (fabulous, by the way) and was so anxious to read this one before I dove into her backlog. Not surprisingly, it DID NOT disappoint! I jumped into this not reading the previous series, but I had no problem fully understanding and enjoying this.

Maggie and Felix are so very easy to fall in love with. The witty banter and raw, honest feelings were so fabulous to read and maybe live vicariously through 😉. A few bumps along the way but a happily ever after in the end. Then go and throw a rockstar label on it, and I was a gonner. I would love to read more Dusty. He was a riot, but honestly, I loved the whole crew!

I know I'm working backward, but off to the Blood And Bone series.

Walk the Line is book one in the Blood and Bone Legacy Series.

Felix and Maggie have such intense chemistry together. Going into this seeing Felix as a up and coming rock star I really thought he was going to be this arrogant and annoying character. But I was completely wrong. He was perfection. I loved how he was with Maggie. He was caring and fun with her. Yes he did have his moments where he was a bit arrogant with her, but it was usually when she was being sassy with him. I loved how they connected with each other. Maggie just got a bit in her head and scared which caused a few problems for them. But overall they were solid.

I was invested almost right from the start. The characters were enjoyable to read. I loved seeing the groups dynamic with each other. This was a superb read.

Five stars are nowhere nearly enough for this book. Ms. Dombrowiak and Ms. Parker have given us a book that I am sure their readers have been waiting for. Imagine Felix Krasinski, the son of Jack Krasinski from Ms. Parker's Turn It Up series, sexy and ever so talented, joining forces with Maggie Morgan, the sassy and feisty daughter of Cash Morgan from Ms. Dombrowiak's Blood & Bone Series.
These two know how to get under one another's skin. The witty banter, the flirting, the sexy touches and the lustful looks that transpire between them had me loving all the interactions. They are the perfect couple and I am so glad that these two very talented authors gave us a story that will live forever. The storyline is enchanting, entertaining and one that you can easily get lost in. I can't wait to see what is in store for us in book two in the Blood & Bone Legacy.

I was given the opportunity to read Walk The Line in fair trade for an honest review.
Holy crap what an amazing story. I was hooked from the very beginning and all the way to the end. Our Fmc Maggie is trying to get onto the film industry, but she was told that she doesn't have enough experience, so she was sent out on tour with a new and upcoming band velvet drift. Maggie is very set in doing things her own way without the help from her famous musician father. Then we meet our Mmc Felix, who is also the son of a famous musician and the frontman of velvet drift. Felix is also all about doing things his way without the help of his famous father. Both mcs were so much fun to read about. They're sarcastic and hilarious. Also, the spice was chefs kiss and the perfect amount for this steamy Rockstar romance.

The first book of the Blood and Bone Legacy Series is called Walk the Line. It's a beautiful story. Maggie and Felix were both in the process of pursuing their ambitions, maturing into adults, and making life-changing decisions. I liked how these two interacted. Felix had it together and knew what he wanted, which included Maggie. Paula Dombrowiak and Natalie Parker's literary styles complemented each other, resulting in a smooth merging of both worlds. My absolute favorite books to read are Paula Dombrowiak's rock star romances. Natalie Parker is a new-to-me author and I can't wait to read her books. Your heart will be broken by this book, but it will be put back together again. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series will bring!!

Both have legacy rock star fathers. One wants to make his own name in the business as an artist in his own right, the other thinks rock stars are pampered and annoying. Now, toss them together on tour and watch the sparks fly!
Maggie is the flame, and Felix is gasoline. Her spunk, quick wit, and ability to break all the rules should make him want nothing to do with her, but he can’t get enough.
This is a great rockstar book, with an awesome balance between the two main characters, both starting their careers off and making their ways in the world on their own terms.
I will highly recommend reading the book over listening to the audio. While Ai audio is getting better, it just doesn’t get it right.
