He’s my Hollywood heartthrob ex-husband. My hot new neighbor. And, thanks to one reckless night, my soon-to-be baby daddy.
Patton Pierce has a knack for showing up when I least expect him—my street, my salon, my martial arts studio. Even my dreams.
Sure, I’ve pined for him over the past seven years, but if he thinks his low-slung gray sweatpants, backward cap, and infuriating grin will make me forget our past, then he’s in for a rude awakening.
But then my sister’s bachelorette party happens, and I have one too many drinks. One ridiculous dare later, and I find myself “kissing the boy I used to love”.
One kiss leads to one incredible night. And one night leads to two very pink lines.
Patton says he wants me back, that nothing would make him happier than to have this baby with me. But I’ve heard those words before. He chose Hollywood over me before, and he’ll choose it over me again.
Still, with him taking care of my every craving—both in and out of the bedroom—it’s getting harder not to fall for him. The question will he be there to catch me this time?
Swati MH is a Texas raised contemporary romance author living in the Bay Area with her very own book husband and two beautiful daughters. When she's not writing stories full of humor, heart, and heartbreak, she's likely thinking about doing so . . . preferably while holding a glass of wine.
I've been waiting for Nisha and Patton's book since the beginning. I just love a great second chance romance and this was it. Nisha and Patton were high school sweethearts and married at 21 while he was becoming a major actor in Hollywood. When Nisha felt like he kept choosing her last, especially after some major life changes, she knew she couldn't do it anymore. Now seven years later, Patton is back and willing to do anything to prove he's changed and she was/is his only choice. Leading to an accidental pregnancy, they explore their relationship, growing closer. Can Patton prove Nisha is his top priority?
oh lord where do I begin. it was so good. one minute you laugh so hard with the antics then you are sobbing. full on snuffle cry. I think many fans of this author could just read one entire book with the text messages. they are hands down hilarious. she has a definite gift for these extremely amusing conversations. pretty sure the name of the chat will make you laugh out loud in a public place. don't whatever you do read them in a library cause you will full on disturb the peace. Dean of course steals the chat show. as hysterical as this read was there were some pretty heavy topics. loss of a baby during pregnancy and the breakdown of the marriage. so many times I just sobbed with the emotions of this topic. it was written very well with the utmost respect to the main character who endured this. and as a female who suffered two miscarriages you feel for this character. you will definitely fall head over bald pussy (hey it's the cat) for Patton. his back story was emotional and you saw him heal and make him a better version of himself. I really can't speak highly enough of this authors incredible talent writing a read with such emotions. from laughter to sobbing. it was a therapy session truly. it helped me heal myself from my loss.
“You’re not a choice or an option for me, Neesh. You’re a necessity.”
I love second chance stories, and this one was so heartwarming and fun to read. I truly enjoyed every minute of it.
First of all, let's start with these crazy pets. We have a klepto furless cat, and a dog obsessed with Nisha's bra, or more like her smell. I swear I could read a short story of just the pets' shenanigans with how hilarious they are.
Then we have Nisha in denial, although that didn't last long. I loved how both groups of friends unknowingly worked together to get Nisha and Patton back together.
I really enjoyed seeing the way Patton worked to prove that he was all in, and how fate's sense of humor came into play when it came to his mom.
Quote: “I’ve already done everything I ever dreamed of, except this—building a family with you. This was always the real dream, baby.”
4.5 stars rounded up. Thank you to the author for providing an eARC for me to read and review!
This is the final book in the trilogy of Haircuts and Heartthrobs and Swati MH saved the best for last! Nisha and Patton are just so freaking adorable! The way that Patton knows he messed up and works so hard to be better is commendable and I loved that Nisha didn't give in too quickly. Their chemistry is great and the dynamic between them never felt imbalanced. There was a refreshing give and take between these two that really spoke to me.
I'm going to miss all of these characters so much, especially the cats! Nisha's kleptomaniac cat Beaver was hilarious and stole my heart along with Vajayjay and Snatch from the other books. I feel like a novella from the cats' point of view would be hysterical!
While this is part of a series, it is an interconnected standalone and you don’t need to read the other books if you don’t want to. Cheers to another second chance romance that I devoured! Patton & Nisha’s story is so heartbreaking, yet seeing them reconnect and learn to trust and love each other again was so sweet. Their chemistry is undeniable, but that was never the issue between them.
Reading a book by Swati is the highlight of my day!! Between the hilarious group chats and the off the charts steamy smut, I just can't get enough. Patton and Nisha's story is heartbreaking, hopeful, and beautiful. When Patton read the goodbye letter from Nisha, I cried for their pain and loss. But the group chats were my favorite especially the horse and pony chat... absolutely hilarious!! This is a great feel good second chance romance.
Patton Pierce completely stole my heart. Nisha and Patton’s journey is an emotional, beautifully written heartbreak story. This second-chance romance will hit you right in the feelings. Their past is messy and painful in all the right ways, making their reunion even more powerful. The chemistry between them is undeniable. It's loaded with longing, regret, and hope that makes you keep reading. The author delivers a deeply satisfying love story that proves some connections never truly fade, and watching Nisha and Patton find their way back to each other was everything I wanted from this couple from the start.
🔥 Second Chance Romance 🎬 Hollywood Heartthrob 💍 Ex-Husband / Ex-Wife 🏘️ Neighbors to Lovers 🤰 Surprise Pregnancy 😢 Past Hurt / Trust Issues ❤️🔥 Still in Love 🍑 Forced Proximity 💞 Slow Rebuild ✨ HEA
Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Pine For Me is everything a second-chance romance should be sharp with longing, heavy with history, and overflowing with chemistry that refuses to die, no matter how much time passes. Swati M.H once again works her magic in the Haircuts and Heartthrobs series, delivering a story that balances humor, heartbreak, and heat in a way that feels effortless and deeply satisfying.
From the very first page, it’s clear that Patton and his ex-wife Nisha were never truly over. Their dynamic is electric charged with old wounds, unresolved desire, and a stubborn kind of love that neither of them has been able to outrun. Patton’s return to her life isn’t just inconvenient; it’s destabilizing in all the ways she’s spent years guarding against. He shows up everywhere: her neighborhood, her salon, even her martial arts studio. He’s the last man she wants to deal with, and the only one who still has the power to make her pulse jump with a single look.
The setup is irresistible: a bachelorette-party dare, one impulsive kiss with the man she’s tried so hard to forget, and a night that cracks open everything they’ve kept bottled up. It’s messy and passionate and full of the kind of vulnerability that only exists between two people who once shared everything. The fallout of those two pink lines pushes them right back into each other’s orbit, this time with stakes higher and more permanent than ever.
What makes the story shine is how Swati M.H builds Patton into a hero who’s not just charming and sexy, but genuinely repentant and determined. He knows he messed up. He knows she doesn’t trust him. And he’s ready to show up for her in ways he never did before. His care is constant not just in the sweet, domestic ways, but in the intimate, emotional moments where he quietly proves that he’s changed, that he’s choosing her and their baby above everything else, even Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Nisha’s hesitation is beautifully written. She’s not cold or stubborn; she’s someone who has learned the hard way that love isn’t always enough. Watching her wrestle with her fears, torn between protecting her heart and wanting to believe in the man she once married, adds a poignant depth to the story. Their journey is slow, tender, and incredibly rewarding as they rediscover the pieces of themselves, they lost along the way.
And let’s talk about the chemistry because it’s scorching. The banter crackles, the tension is constant, and their physical connection feels both nostalgic and brand new. Every stolen glance and heated moment adds fuel to a fire that’s been quietly burning for seven years. The inside jokes, the shared memories, the private smiles they create a romance layered with familiarity and rediscovery.
By the time the story reaches its emotional climax, it’s impossible not to root for them. Not just to reunite, but to heal. To trust. To finally become the version of themselves, they always should’ve been when they first fell in love.
Pine For Me isn’t just about rekindling a romance, it’s about second chances, forgiveness, and the courage to believe that people can grow into someone better. It’s tender, it’s spicy, it’s heartfelt, and it leaves you with the warm, satisfied feeling of watching two soul-deep lovers finally find their way home.
A beautiful, addictive must-read for anyone who loves exes-to-lovers, emotional reconnection, and heroes who will move heaven and earth for their person.
"You're not a choice or an option for me, Neesh. You're a necessity."
"I've already done everything I ever dreamed of, except this - building a family with you. This was always the real dream baby."
This is book #3 in this series, Haircuts and Heartthrobs series and is the last book in this series and can be read as a standalone. It is a real second chance at love story.
What to expect
💛Second chance romance 💛Forced proximity 💛Neighbours to lovers 💛Accidental pregnancy 💛Ex's to lovers 💛He Falls First
After his career takes off Nisha feels a little abandoned. Years after they separate he's back. Patton was so career focused that he neglected Nisha and they split. Only now years he's determined to prove to her that she's the love of his life and he's changed. Nisha has been through alot and feels like now she's finally in a good place, well until she gets the surprise of her life.
This storyline flows throughout beautifully and really will have your emotions in a complete whirlwind inside your heart. The story has moments where you'll be laughing out loud and then having your heartstrings pulled. This book is full of banter between all the characters, humour which is amazing, heartbreak and you'll need the tissues and at times is very raw and the characters are vulnerable. The characters were so connected and I found it easy to love them, they always had a strong connection and the chemistry is awesome and I loved reading their story. I absolutely loved the way this author writes and the animals were fabulous in their own right which was amazing and a really great touch. Swati.MH really knows how to write a story and hook the reader right in from the beginning and knows how to write a page turner, her writing style is great and I definitely recommend this book and this series as all these couples were amazing in each book.
This one is bittersweet. It's the end of an era as we say goodbye to characters from this series and the one before. But it looks like this masterful storyteller saved the best for last! A second chance romance between two people who fell in love as kids, and then a world of paın separated them. He burıed his paın by building an A-list acting career, and she picked up her broken pieces and made herself into a fiercely strong, caring, successful business woman.
Patton Pierce has decided six years is long enough to be estranged from his soulmate. So maybe he's a tad manipulative, especially garnering support from the men attached to the women in his ex-wife's life, but all fair when you’re in a fıght for love. And as confident and determined as Patton may be, nothing can prepare him for the curves life has in store.
Nisha Aurora is finally in a good place in her life. Then, one slip of her strong will and two pink lines throws her world into chaos, bringing back all of the pain from her past. Fortunately, she has the support of her colorful and quirky family and friends. And her Sphinx cat, Beaver, definitely has her back.
I got goosebumps reading the first chapter and laughed my way through the next, and then the story really got good. Some storytellers don’t have the chops to keep the momentum going, but our girl here delivers over and over, with perfect comedic timing and heartfelt pacing to deliver a euphoric reading experience.
There are so many favorites and fond memories with this one, from the chats and the cats to the dad who makes me miss mine and the rival pseudo-suitor and the surprising twists. Every bit of it delicious, delightful, heart-rending, devastating, inspiring, and uplifting. Wow, what an amazing ride! This one has rıp-your-heart-out, mend-you-right, and feel-good happy sigh written all over it, so make sure you don’t miss it!
Pine for me by Swati M.H. is officially out. It is the third book in the Haircuts and Heartthrobs series. Nisha and Patton get their happily ever after in this second chance romance. Nisha has watched her best friend and twin find their other halves while she has always known the man for her was her ex husband Patton. Their marriage ended when his acting career took off and their love wasn’t enough. If you have read the Haircuts and Heartthrobs series then you know Nisha is a co owner of the salon. She’s badass on the outside with a sleeve of tattoos who could fight anyone with her taekwondo skills, with a heart of gold. When she’s not teaching at the dojang she is volunteering her services at the homeless shelter. She also tends to stalk her famous ex online in her free time. Patton has loved Nisha since they were teenagers. This book is a second chance with top tier groveling. Patton spends most of the book making sure Nisha knows how much he loves her and that she is his priority. After a run in he forms a plan to win back his wife. And he’ll need the help of their family and friends. We typically struggle with a second chance but this one was just too good. And can we just talk about the Schlongs and the Clams group chats. They kept us laughing throughout the entire series. Along with the hilarious chats, we should also touch on the heartache in this story. Please make sure to read the trigger warnings before starting. This series has always touched on some emotional topics but this book in particular is heavy and could be triggering for some readers. Swati wrote a beautiful story and the topics were really well done. What Nisha and Patton had to go through only makes us love them more and makes their hea even sweeter.
This book was everything!! Second chance is my least favorite trope, but Swati might have just converted me to love this trope because Patton & Nisha’s story was everything and so much more!
This book had it all. Group text messages with the women's group and men's group that you had smiling, kicking your feet, and laughing. And we cannot forget the banter, playfulness, and hot spice between Patoon and Nisha!
This book also had depth and heart. Nisha & Patton's story will break your heart, especially when you get to the past moments of what happened between these two and everything that they went through together and alone. Nisha will break your heart with what she went through and make you cry. Honestly, one minute I was laughing in this book, and the next I found myself absolutely tearing up.
The growth that both characters had separately and as a couple is exactly what you want to see in a second-chance romance . I loved seeing them both take what the other said seriously and make the change to be better and do better not only for themselves but together as a couple.
I also love the surprise pregnancy (in a book), and this was done beautifully.
Thank you so much, Swati, for an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
This book gave me emotional whiplash in the best possible way.
From the very beginning, Pine For Me pulled me into Patton and Nisha’s world—one filled with unresolved pain, lingering love, and the kind of history that never truly fades. Their past heartbreak bleeds through the pages, making every interaction feel layered and real, but the joy they find again together makes every bit of that emotional ride worth it.
I cannot remember the last time a book gave me such extreme emotional swings. One minute my heart was heavy with grief and sadness, and the next I was snort laughing at text threads, friend banter, and the hilarious antics of this group. I genuinely found myself hoping for text threads in every chapter.
Patton fits so seamlessly into this friend group. It was special to watch, and it made their found family dynamic shine even brighter. Swati M.H.’s sense of humor is absolutely epic, but what makes her writing stand out is her ability to make you laugh while simultaneously making your eyes leak.
This was a beautiful second chance after divorce romance with a deeply satisfying ending that felt perfectly them. I didn’t want this story to end and honestly, that’s the highest praise I can give.
Oh, this book really tugged at the heartstrings! I'd been curious about Nisha's story, and this was so worth the wait! Definitely check triggers, as this one deals with some heavier subject matter, but it was written so beautifully by Swati.
Nisha and Patton have been divorced for years. They were high school sweethearts who married young, but had a hard time during their marriage, especially since Patton was a rising Hollywood star. Years later, he shows up back in Nisha's life while making a new film, moves in across the street from her, and decides it's time to get his wife back. Nisha does not make it easy on him, and Patton has to prove he can make her the priority in his life. These two still love each other SO much, and watching them open up and try to work things out was so wonderful! When life throws them a curveball in the form of an accidental pregnancy, they have to figure out if they can really make it work.
I really loved how "all in" Patton was, not only on his plan to get her back, but once they find out about the pregnancy, too! Nisha was so strong and such an awesome FMC. I love that even though she clearly still loved him deeply, she didn't budge over the years or make it easy for him after what she went through. My heart broke for her when we finally got a glimpse into the past and what had happened!
As always in a Swati book, the group chats are epic and the banter is hilarious! I loved seeing so many favorites from other books pop up in the chaos, and those moments of levity really gave the book a good balance from the heavier stuff.
I am officially a goner for Pine For Me! Swati M.H. does it again with this emotional, second-chance romance featuring ex-spouses, an accidental pregnancy and all the pining my heart can handle. Add a Hollywood heartthrob MMC and a boss-babe heroine, and I was completely hooked.
Nisha Arora gave her heart to Patton Pierce years ago, but young love collided with his rising acting career, leaving her to face life’s hardest moments alone. Seven years later, Patton is back and determined to win her over—until one passionate night changes everything when Nisha discovers she’s pregnant. He says he’s all in, but can she trust him after everything that came before?
This story had me crying tears of sorrow and joy. Their love is epic, once-in-a-lifetime and filled with gut-wrenching angst that made me want to throw my book at times—in the best way. I deeply empathized with both characters and understood how their original breakup happened.
Balanced beautifully with humor, strong friendships, fantastic banter, adorable pets and even some unforgettable Star Wars moments, this book delivers heart, heat and healing. Pine For Me will have you believing in true love and savoring every step of the journey to the HEA. I can’t recommend it enough! 💛📚(ARC Review)
Pine for Me is everything that I expected of a second chance romance and so much more . Swati M.H. made me laugh out loud at all the shenanigans happening in both chats and out of them and then want to cry my eyes out. Because Nisha and Patton's story is everything . Most of all the best second chance at first love. Nisha was so tight lipped when asked about her ex husband and that made me so curious. Because those two were meant to be together. Despite their love they were torn apart. And they both took their time to heal and grow and get back to themselves. Because they lost themselves and the way to each other. Nisha's always been a baddie but seeing her in action in that demonstration was so good. And she stood her ground and didn't make things easier for Patton . Actually he had to grovel and apologize just to earn an opportunity at second chance. Let's just say that he got approved by Beaver , Nisha's pet cat , faster than she gave him a chance. Patton was so down to earth for a Hollywood celebrity star . And Bob , his dog was so hilarious and huge fan of Nisha, IYKYK. I loved all the hilarious and unhinged messages in those group chats and frankly I was laughing through tears reading them . Patton and Nisha's story is full of heartbreak and so much sorrow that they both needed years to recover and heal . It was impressive that in that moments of their lives they both found ways to help others. Loved it that they found their way back to each other. And it's a total bonus that the spice is steaming hot with these two, the chemistry is of the charts. And as a Star Wars fun I freaking love the references. That surprise pregnancy was the sign that this time the things will be different for them. They got all the love and support from their friends and family. And I so loved all the sneak peaks from the other couples. Let's just say that I didn't expected that light plot twist but it was so good for the story and Patton's character development. Absolutely loved it how their story made a full circle and ended at the place where it started the second time. And that bonus epilogue was so so good. I was swooning. Big time. Now I need a re-read of the other two books.
Thanks to the author and Give Me Books PR for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.
Pine For Me completely swept me up—and honestly, this entire series has my heart. Swati M.H. has such a knack for delivering swoon-worthy romance while still digging deep into emotional territory, and this book is no exception.
Second-chance romances aren’t usually where my loyalty lies, but Patton Pierce changed that. Against my better judgment, I found myself rooting hard for him and desperately wanting Nisha to give him another chance. Their history, tension, and undeniable chemistry made every interaction feel loaded and meaningful.
This story balances rom-com vibes with genuine heart—laugh-out-loud moments, addictive group chat banter, and scenes that tug at your chest when you least expect it. While Pine For Me does explore sensitive themes, including pregnancy loss (please check trigger warnings), it’s handled with care and emotional depth. And for anyone wondering: yes, a well-earned HEA is guaranteed.
If you love second-chance romance, forced proximity, Hollywood heartthrobs, and found-family energy, this series deserves a spot on your TBR.
The way I devoured this book is probably a little unhinged. I actually had to read it twice because of the way I tore through the pages initially and felt like I wasn't savoring it the way it should be, or that I was missing something. Then again that could have just been my excuses to spend more time with Patton and Nisha! To say that I was an emotional wreck at some points is a major understatement (Swati what did you do to me?!), but the permanent smile left on my face once I finished was well worth the ACTUAL tears I shed. While there is some angst (remember I was a wreak?), it was also laugh out loud hilarious. Trust me, some of my tears came from that as well. Then you have the delicious spice that this author ALWAYS delivers on, and it's no wonder I had to reread! The side characters were fantastic and I loved seeing them again, and let's not forget those hairless kitties that can sometimes steal the show! Honestly, there's not a single thing I didn't love and adore about this story. This author, which I hope she knows this, owns my heart with her stories, and this one is the perfect example of why she has me ao Infatuated!
Swati M.H. has delivered a love story where you will swoon over the MMC, your heart will break for the FMC and throughout you will smile, laugh so hard, shed a tear but most of all fall in love with a beautifully written storyline. This author weaves a story of a love that stood the test of time, giving the MCs a second chance at love. Patton and Nisha's story is one where hearts were shattered years ago, and one night years later, everything changes. Nisha's life has been one of heartbreak, loneliness and loss. Patton followed his dreams but at a cost. Now he is determined to win back the only woman he has ever loved. The chemistry between them never died but was on the back burner and just needed a spark to ignite it again. Throughout this enthralling and spectacular love story, I fell in love with Patton for the way he never gave up on Nisha and gave her time to realize that her heart still loved him and he belonged to her. Add in the hilarious texts, pets who steal and friends who know how to push your buttons and you have a hit on your hands. Congratulations, Swati M.H., on this page-turner and captivating love story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Pine For Me by Pine For Me — Swati M.H.
This was such a fun, comforting read—exactly the kind of romance that pulls you in without trying too hard.
What I loved most (and truly looked forward to) were the group chats. Both Nisha’s chats with her friends and Patton’s chats with the guys were absolute highlights for me. They added so much personality, humor, and heart to the story and made the characters feel incredibly real—like you were just casually peeking into their lives. Honestly, those messages had me smiling more than once.
The romance itself was sweet and satisfying, with great banter and emotional beats that landed well. The pacing worked for me, and I appreciated how the friendships were just as important as the love story—something I always value in romance reads.
Overall, this was a solid 4-star read: engaging, charming, and made extra special by the found-family vibes and those standout group chat moments. If you enjoy romances that balance love, friendship, and humor, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Patton and Nisha had a soulmate kind of relationship when they were younger. They had everything they could have wanted, but most importantly they had each other, until life got to be too big and it tore them apart.
Now here we are many years later and Patton is working on getting his woman BACK. He knows that he needs to grovel and THIS MAN GROVELS.
But this book is so much bigger than their relationship itself - this one deals with some absolutely heartbreaking fertility issue and those scene really brought the emotions out for me.
Swati did a phenomenal job giving these characters some great emotional depth. As always, I love seeing the characters from her previous texts and their hilarious group chats.
The laughs don’t stop, the cute explodes off the pages, and your heart will literally never be the same! This is a second chance romance with a man with a plan to get the one girl he will never be over back, his ex-wife, and not only is his plan jaw dropping, life changing, and only the kind of plan a man completely obsessed, smitten, and over the top in love could come up with, it will send you careening into love and team Patton Pierce faster than you can blink. The plan is swoon personified, how Patton and Nisha fell apart and every step he’s taken to get them back to forever is a devastating, heart breaking, all the feels melting pot of goodness, the friend group and all their antics is A-game humor and heart, and the way this read spins meant to be, love isn’t always enough, and timing is literally everything, the perfectly heart felt, honest, and true read you need to one hundred percent believe love always finds away and it can conquer any dang thing.
Pine For Me is the first book I've read by Swati M.H., and I really enjoyed Patton and Nisha's second-chance romance. I especially love a second-chance romance for a divorced couple, and these two characters went through the wringer.
Patton and Nisha were high school sweethearts who married young. But as his celebrity star power rose, they started to grow apart. And when Nisha was left to deal with a traumatic event all on her own, she had enough and left. Now, it's been seven years, and Patton is determined to take the small opening he has and prove to Nisha that he is a changed man.
I thought that the author handled the infertility issues very well. Having been through a miscarriage myself, Nisha's recovery with that resonated with me. Even though she left him, Patton ended up suffering just as much as she did. I really loved how that part of the story was dealt with; he had no one else in his corner, and he lost more than she did, in a way, when their marriage ended.
This book was really beautiful, and I was so happy to see Nisha and Patton get the happily ever after they fought so hard for! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
My favorite Swati book to date! I was honored to beta read and later do another arc read for this one. When I tell you, the MMC sets the bar high for other book boyfriends- I more than mean it! Patton Pierce is 🔥😜👏🏻
I am a sucker for a second chance romance trope and when the story includes characters with lots of history/marriage in trouble - I’m completely hooked! Totally sucked in 😆. I will say pay attention to content warnings as there are sensitive topics. These two have a hard journey BUT Swati truly does an incredible job weaving a realistic plot with hard spots as well as putting us readers along with the characters back together by the end…stay the course! So much talent with this author right here!!
Also, there’s plenty of humor and banter- don’t think that’s been forgotten! I recommend reading the previous books in the series BUT could technically be read as a standalone!
Currently wishing I had a group chat like this 🤣🤣 The friggin banter is off the charts.
Please can we appreciate how Swati weaves humour into her stories so effortlessly—it sneaks up on you and suddenly you’re laughing out loud. Her writing style is absolutely friggin Chef’s kiss 💋
This is a beautiful emotionally charged second chase romance that has all the feels and some really challenging and traumatic moments which as a reader you will feel in your soul.
However, these two are meant for eachother and honestly all I feel deep within my soul is their connection and love for eachother and their growth as individuals is so super inspiring!!
The ending had me crying with all the feels and emotions going. The ending was utterly perfection for this couple and I am so friggin obsessed with this interconnected series!!
I am a sucker for second chance marriage and a groveling man who knows he has let the love of his life slip through his fingers and will do absolutely anything and everything to get her back. And this is exactly what Patton does for Nisha. So much love and loss with these two that my heart broke with them and for them. Beautifully well written story touching on the sensitive subject of miscarriages and what it does to a woman. Nisha and Patton’s love story is epic and has you routine for them to have the HEA they deserve.
I love all the banter and text between The Seven Schlongs and The Clam Jam. I can read a book with just their text messages.
✨Thank you Swati M.H. and Give Me Books PR for this ARC in exchange for an honest review✨
This one killed me in the most beautiful way. This author has the ability to give you a story that makes you feel. I cannot lie and say I wasn't all over the place emotionally while reading this one. I knew Nisha and Patton's journey was going to pull at the heartstrings, that there was going to be tremendous growth (and groveling) but I also knew that we were going to get our happy ending with plenty of laughs along the way to lighten the load along the way. Nisha has an amazing support system, but she was also strong in her own right. I couldn't help standing on the sideline cheering her on. I am going to say that I was mad at Patton, if Nisha is his soul-mate, why did he wait so long? But as the story unfolds, you see that he needed that time and that he always had an inside track. The text chat groups and crazy pets simply are a bonus to this series.
This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Patton and Nisha’s story. Patton is a Hollywood heartthrob, and Nisha’s ex-husband, and new neighbor. These two were high school sweethearts, married and then divorced. When Nisha’s sister bachelorette party happens, one to many drinks and a dare, and Nisha kisses the man she used to love, and 1-night results in consequences. Patton is determined to get Nisha back, but is it too late? This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, engaging and realistic characters, tension, determinations, second chances, humour, witty banter, forgiveness, healing, and undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and heartwrenching, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I really loved the start of this series, but this one? It’s my favorite! I’ve been waiting for Nisha and Patton’s story forever, and the second I got it, I dropped everything and ran to read it! High-school sweethearts, married young, Hollywood fame, heartbreak, a comeback years later, and then boom accidental pregnancy? I was SEATED. The angst, the longing, the history, the healing it all hit exactly the way I hoped it would. One minute I was laughing out loud (those group chats are my fav !🤣), and the next I was full-on emotional. The story touches on some heavy topics but it's written beautifully. This wasn’t just a romance, it was a journey back to each other and it was simply beautiful !
Also can we talk about the pets? Truce scene-stealers !
Thank you so much to @swati.mh and her team for the ARC! 🩷
Give me a second chance romance and I am happy. But add in an accidental pregnancy and you have me dancing in my seat. So thank you Swati MH for writing my favorite tropes in one book.
Nisha and Patton have been divorced and not with in each other in a while. These two were young and in love. Patton got his dream of becoming an actor and he made a name for himself. But while doing that he lost sight of the things that mattered most. Nisha was strong and stood her ground when she was done. I liked that she saw her worth and did the hard things to put her happiness first.
These two were destined to be together, just not at the time that they were. They both needed to grow individually to find themselves before trying again. I really loved that he came back and fought for her.
