Sariel Bear-Stone

I can’t remember a time without feeling his presence nearby. All of my memories are entwined with his. Precious, bittersweet moments spent with him.

Him.
Uriel Mahoe.
My foster brother.
My protector.
My first and never-ending crush.

Unrequited love is misery in disguise, especially when the recipient can’t ever feel the same, not when he’s a sociopath.

Still, I thought I knew everything about him. Until…I didn’t.

For that reason and for the first time in my life, I’ve distanced myself from him, tried to move on, which turned out to be more difficult than I anticipated.

First, all my dates crushed and burned. Then a rat infestation and a dangerous stalker forced me into his overprotective, controlling arms once again.
But I’m not the naive, innocent person he believes me to be.
There’s something I need. Something dark that I crave. Desperately. Something he doesn’t seem able to give me.

Or is he?

All of my other brothers have found their significant others. Now it’s my turn.
But is Uri meant to be mine, or are we destined to die side by side before we find out?

Uriel Mahoe

My Sari.
My Baby Blue.
Mine.

WARNING-This is not a sci-fi angel story, unless you see eager vigilantes with a dark, merciless side as angels. This is an action-packed, dark-themed, foster-brothers-to-lovers romance with an HEA.
It features a clueless, sweet, sexy medical researcher and an obsessed, overprotective, touch-him-and-die, callous sociopath.
Masochism and sadism is present in a sexual and non context. Accidental drug use, a side character suffering chronic illness, violence, gore, remorseless torture (only of very bad people), dark humor, a band of foster brothers ready to help.
Morality’s grey area is quite stretched in this story. Please check the more detailed triggers at the beginning of the book before reading.

This is book five in the Angels of Wrath Series. Each book follows a different couple and can be read as a standalone but would be more enjoyable if read in order.

I can't remember a time when I wasn't reading a book. Whether it was sci-fi, romance or a detective story didn't matter, because it was the perfect way to escape from reality for a little while. When I wasn't reading, I was imagining my own stories, and after a while I started writing them, hoping to give other people that little escape I still enjoy so much.

My books are full of dark humor, spicy kinky scenes, possessive, obsessed, protective MCs and always have happy endings.

I live in Japan with my two kids and my stinky, super cute Frenchie.

Favorite character?

OMG, this book is sooo good!
This was one of the hottest books I’ve read this year… the filth, plus all that unresolved chemistry, was intense.
It was beautiful to FINALLY see Suri together.

I love that the whole family was betting on when they’d get together. As always (especially with Lori involved), this book was hilarious.
Impressively well done. The amount of dark, gory violence in this book and yet it still manages to pack in so many funny shenanigans. Incredible. The dark humor is at its best. 👌

I’m not picky. I love standalone books just as much as big series, but the amount of work it takes to build a series is huge and what has gone into this world and this book is truly astonishing.
The plot twists!!!
No words, just… I really enjoyed myself.
I seriously can’t wait to see what Paulina has next in store!

Humor: Medium Focus
Angst: Medium High Focus

"I want to fucking feast on your body until there's nothing left but your taste in my mouth," he whispers so seductively, my head falls back while my sated body attempts to come to life once again"

"Your darkness was made to match mine."

"Love is such a tricky, fleeting emotion, I don't understand why people long for that shit." His fingers curl around my neck as his mouth moves closer to my ear. "I see you as mine," he whispers, almost sinfully, "I always have. My body and mind both agree on where you belong: by my side. Permanently. Even if I have to go to the farthest depths of hell to keep you."

I’ve been in such a bookslump this month it made me wanna cry. Thank god for Paulina and her dirty talking, obsessive, possessive, manipulative, murderous angels of wrath men. I’m such a series, trilogy and duology slut, I swear you’ll rarely see me read a standalone. I didn’t know what to expect with this book only knowing Uriel’s obsession with Sariel was reciprocated immediately. This story was a crazy one and I’ll definitely reread it again. I might write more later but for now, with this series, I swear each book keeps getting better and better and with this ending on a cliffhanger and eager to read couple I’m down for the next book immediately. Give me 14 of them right now! I don’t want this series to end and I’ll dread when comes to that but for now. Enjoy the series, give it a chance. Much love to the author for getting me out of this rut, happy reading!

Did I spend the entire day to read this? Hell yes, I did. I couldn't for the life of me put this down! I have waited for Sari & Uriel's relationship since the last book in this series. And this didn't disappoint. I've always been curious about Sari and who he were as a person. Well... Miss Paulina didn't disappoint me there, let's just say that 😉
And the cliffhanger at the end of the epilogue??! I'm stunned, baffooned, confused and curious all at the same time.
And the sneak peek at the next couple?! 😲 How am I going to survive until the next book?! Gaaargh.

Needless to say, I was thoroughly enjoying this book from start to end. The best parts of this book? The group chat and the bar scene (iykyk 😉).

It’s like reading a bad Wattpad book with a character dynamic that keeps you interested enough to keep going. The use of British English in American characters is so jarring and takes you right out of the immersion. The actual romance was enjoyable so I’d round it up to like 2.8

PART 1 : SPOILERS AHEAD SO DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE BOOK

Okay first let me say AHHHHHHHHH I LITERALLY AM SO FREAKING EXCITED AND GRATEFUL TO HAVE FINALLY READ THIS BOOK. This review is LONG 🙄 so please be prepared and any criticism I give this book is solely based on my preference and not any actual issues since I’m not a writer and I can’t properly critique work without any professional expertise on such a subject.

Now to begin I give this book a 4.7 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
And spice is about a 3.7 out of 5
🌶️🌶️🌶️

And here’s why

1st . Why a 4.7 and not a 5 you may ask ?

There are a lot of moments in the book where really important details that would help capture the entire story are merely just spoken out so casually and in passing that they don’t even seem important, like the fact that the bros found out that Ezra is a paid assassin on the black market or even saris whole stalker situation both finding out she had one and having the stalker get caught , like that event was barely even acknowledged I felt so offended because so much of saris plot development revolved around a stalker who’s entire literary life was barely even mentioned. It was all mentioned in passing and in the past tense and it could have been a great opportunity for us readers to see more of torturer uri and even get some hot raunchy sex from the two love birds . It was these small but important moments of discover and revelation that’s deserved more detailed acknowledgements and over story telling , moments that would elongate the book and give the author great opportunity to explore her use of detailed writing and story telling while proving readers with insightful and important information that is really essential to understanding and appreciating the plot in its entirety.

Although advertised as a stand alone, even reading all the books I felt constantly left to question what details I’m missing in the little text or even two worded sentences that would have made this plot much more enjoyable if they were just dived into more.

Now I will say there are some detailed Easter eggs that DID not need big debuts like uri infesting saris apartment with rats and him interfering with his dating life. And Pauline didn’t give them much screen time which I LOVED because she really leaves it up to you to slowly figure out. Even going as little as Ezras slight change when interacting with sully indicated his upcoming obsession which is the sweetest torture but still so amazing on her part as a writer that she’s able to evoke such a illustration using such little words. I just think some really important moments needed to be explored more rather than grazed over as if we’re talking about what we’re having for lunch. So I can’t say that it’s the act of implanting Easter eggs that upsets me its rather the CHOICE in what the author decided to go into detail with. Like why is half a chapter just side characters talking about nonsense but the topic of uri and Ezra’s upbring and experiences during their childhoods (pre crazy science experiments) like 2 sentences. I felt that it wasn’t fair to certain character developments that could have been appreciated had we were given more detail regarding certain events.

REGARDLESS

Pauline does an incredible job of bringing you into this world and the stories she creates with her words are spectacular and truly awe-inspiring. It’s because her work is so good that the lack of efficiency and illustration in some areas offends me. It’s almost as if she fixated on certain topics and forgot about the rest but I know that’s not the case because Pauline is an incredibly intentional writer and each word is thought out meticulously so I guess I’m estranged as to why certain details didn’t get their 5 minutes of fame the way I think they deserved it .

A plot is a plot so I’ll always appreciate a story whether I like it or not , this critique is truly about HOW she wrote the story and not the story itself because regardless I LOVE the story. THE STORY IS AMAZING. I love any and all stories Pauline writes and I love how I’m apart of the story because she makes it so. It’s more the structure and composition that frustrated me while reading this.

Now this is only Part 1 of my review and I will try to post part 2 answering why I gave it a spice level of 3.7 and overall everything I loved about the book and my excitement regarding her future works!

I have been waiting for what feels like forever to read Uri & Sari's story. I knew that they were going to become one of my favorite couple from the Angel of Wrath series from the moment I was introduced to them. Sweet, slightly naive Sari and the psychotically obsessed sociopath Uri. The lengths (and let's be real the manipulation LoL) that Uri employs to keep his Baby Blue by his side is truly wild. If you like sweet mcs that fall in love with obsessed sociopaths that will do literally anything (and I do mean anything) to stay together, then this is the book for you. You seriously have it all with this book mystery, intrigue, torture (dont worry, they all definitely deserve it 😉), and of course spice so hot it will steam your glasses.

I love this series, and this was a great addition to it. We finally get to see Sari and Uri get on the same page and get together officially.

And while I loved their book, it isn’t without its faults. Some awkward segues, minor typos and errors, sentence structure issues, and odd word choice. The storytelling is excellent, but the technical execution onto the page still needs work. BUT, I can tell that it’s getting better with each book.

I did have trouble connecting with Sari. I love him, but I couldn’t really feel who he was. I did feel his emotions, and I wanted to throttle Uri for a good chunk of the book. If these two would have just communicated how they were truly feeling at any point they were together (which is a lot!), most of the heartache could have been avoided.

Even though Uri frustrated me a lot, I do feel like his character as a sociopath was written well. He’s not meant to be sweet and cuddly and romantic. However, I do think he is capable of understanding why Sari would feel a certain way even if he can’t feel those emotions himself (like the club fallout). Uri doesn’t attach any feelings for the people he has at the club, but to Sari, it’s a hard blow, and I was distraught right along with him. I do wish we’d gotten to see more of Sari getting some kind of apology or, at the very least, acknowledgement of his feelings from Uri, but that doesn’t really happen.

Some things that were odd: somnophilia is listed in the TW/CW section. However, this is never a scene. There’s a vague thought or two from Sari, but it’s unclear if what he thinks is his erotic dream/imagination actually happens (and what happens isn’t on-page). And his other thought is out of nowhere and doesn’t have any correlation to the current situation. Anyways, there’s no need for that TW/CW.

The second thing is in the club scene. In Sari’s POV, the reader gets the impression that Uri sees Sari while he’s with someone else and goes after him. But when it goes to Uri’s POV, that’s 100% not the case. Uri has no clue Sari is there. Furthermore, Sari describes the sub with Uri as looking a lot like him. But then in Uri’s POV, he doesn’t comment or acknowledge what the guy looks like at all. It was just an odd discrepancy all around that took me out of the story a bit.

Okay, last thing: the overarching plot with Phoenix doesn’t progress much. It’s not until the last 10% or so that anything around that plot line happens. However, I am intrigued about what was revealed. I’m also looking forward to seeing more of Ezra and getting his book.

Which brings me to all the good: I loved getting more group shenanigans, and finally really meeting Ezra. I also thought Uri was written well, and I liked getting into his head. The stalking plot was okay. It was very predictable, and the “twist” was also easy to see coming. I wish we’d gotten to see how the stalker was caught, rather than just a recap. Even with those plot lines being predictable, I enjoyed the book overall. I’ve reread the previous books, and I see myself doing the same with this one.

Once Sari and Uri get on the same page, they are 🔥. I don’t typically enjoy S/M dynamics, especially if it’s a contract trope or similar. But this one isn’t like that, because Sari and Uri have known each other since they were young, and they’ve each been pining for the other for years now. So I was really glad that there was no “scening” or club stuff beyond that one moment that was pivotal for them to move forward together. The pain that Sari enjoys isn’t extreme. I feel like over time they will push the limit to see what Sari likes and doesn’t, but the most extreme they get on-page here is handcuffs, spanking, rough manhandling, biting, clawing, breath play, nipple clamps, belt swats, and rough penetration. And Sari loves it all. Uri seems to think his need/desire to cause pain for his own pleasure is more extreme than it is (or at least it isn’t with Sari). To me, his need to possess and have Sari’s undivided attention and unconditional love is his real driving need. I loved the scene when he hugs Sari for so long after a climactic moment.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with how their story/book unfolded! There were high expectations. Some things I loved and others not so much, but that’s just the nature of everything. I hope Ezra’s book delivers a great couple and wrap-up to the overarching plot so that this series ends on a high note.

He tasted like blissful surrender and passionate audacity.

expect spoilers, read this review at your own discretion.

I waited for so long for this book. I didn't give it 5 stars because it was absolutely perfect or because it met every expectation--but it met most of them. Normally I'm burned by books I anticipate restlessly for months. This one was very pleasing and in some places exceeded my fangirl expectations. For instance, I dreamed for multiple books, that Sari would go live with Uri at his lakehouse and sink into his life. I had NOT expected the lakehouse i dreamed of them living together at was bought FOR Sari and decorated with Sari completely in mind. Paulina took my crazy, said "a'ight bet, but hear me out, what IF" and then one upped it.

I LOVED 8 and was always on his side in this book. psychopath or not, i rooted for him to get his family. Watching him chisel a hole and slip into it to bag himself his family was ADORABLE. Outside of Sari/Uri/Suri, he was my favorite in this book. I'm not sure WHY family is so important to a psychopath, but it is. Because while he might not have emotions, which i can't understand because i do, his ACTIONS spoke for him. And omL he had NO CHILL-and it makes it funnier bc as a psychopath his "no chill" isnt like it would be for other characters, but you know its "no chill" setting anyway. That makes it GREAT! I LOVED watching it.

One thing i will say is Uri is VERY different from Onley James' Mulvaney series. in that series it kinda romanticizes psychos and socio's because they still say "i love you how im able" but in this book, dead ass, Uri is like "I don't love you, i will never love you but you're so mine let me tattoo you over my entire body and plan everything for you. I will manipulate you into being in my life how i want, but its a pretty cage where i out your wellbeing and happiness first over everything else i do". its jarring to keep being reminded by him and Sari that its not love because....isnt that love? Sure, not the warm affectionate tingly feelings, Uri will never have that. but making a home for your partner, putting their health and well being first, taking them into consideration so your actions don't hurt them.....isn't that what we truly ask for in a partner? if neurotypicals who claim to love do less everyday, including cheat and hurt their "loved" ones, then what actually is love? Is love an emotion or does it go beyond emotions? Does love go beyond emotions? it's essentially devotion right?

Annnyyywaaayyyy, i appreciated the jarring reminders that Uri, in fact, cannot "love" Sari. ALMOST as much (im NOT going to lie) as when his brothers like "Youre my twin, youre mine. sari is yours that makes Sari mine too" HOT. It wasnt in a relationship way, this book aint MMM or anything, and can you see what i mean about 8 claiming his family with SERO CHILL? 😂😂 please love 8 as much as i do.

There were MANY sweet hot possessive moments in this book between Suri and I wont give them all away. Swoon in your own time. There's lots of swooning.

And, uh....look out for that cliff hanger. It's not a Couple cliffhanger, its a Plot cliffhanger. Youve been warned.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Billion Stars
Spoiler-Heavy Review for Seven+Four (Angels of Wrath #5) by Paulina Ian-Kane

I waited SO LONG for this book and it was everything. I was obsessed from page one. This is the definition of a toxic, possessive, obsessive love—and I ate it up.

If you’re looking for a morally gray, possessive sociopath who would burn the world for his man, look no further than Uri Mahoe. He’s been obsessed with Sari since they were kids, and when I say obsessed, I mean:

“I’ve been protecting him since we were ten. No one gets to touch him. No one gets to love him. That’s my fucking job.”

Sari is such a beautifully broken, sweet character. A clueless virgin genius who has no idea how deep Uri’s obsession goes—until he’s forced back into Uri’s orbit thanks to a stalker and a rat infestation (because of course 😂). And that bed-sharing? Chef’s kiss.

🖤 Tropes & Kinks to Expect:

Foster Brothers to Lovers

Clueless Medical Researcher x Sadistic Protector

Touch-starved & touch-him-and-die

BDSM, Masochism, Sadism

Somnophilia, Gun Play, Lingerie

Tattoos as love language

Impact play, pain kink, filthy talk 🔥

Co-dependency and manipulation at its most addictive

🛑 CW/Triggers (check full list in book):
Mental health (psychopathy, trauma, panic attacks), accidental drug use, kidnapping, attempted SA, graphic violence, murder, impact play, dub-con (non-penetrative), and a gun used during sex. This book is not for everyone—but if it is for you? It's unforgettable.

Spoilers Below – Read at Your Own Risk

I loved how unapologetically dark Uri was. He manipulated Sari’s life—kept him single, sabotaged dates, stalked him for years—and never once denied it. He didn’t lie about not being capable of love because of his diagnosis… but what he gave Sari was deeper than love. It was raw obsession.

“If you’re waiting for some fairytale ending, Baby Blue, stop. I’ll never be your prince. I’m the dragon guarding your fucking castle.”

Their sexual tension was insane. The slow burn absolutely killed me, but when the spice hit? Whew. 🔥 That scene with the lingerie and the mirror? Scene of the year. The pain kink, the filthy talk, the possessiveness—it was deliciously depraved.

“You want to be hurt, don’t you? You want the pain to remind you that you’re mine. Say it, Sari. Say you need it.”

And yes, he pierced it. You know what I mean. 😳

The ending had me screaming!! I need more from this world. The other brothers are so feral and loving in their own broken ways. I'm praying we get another book, maybe for the hinted couple at the end??

Final Thoughts:
If you like your romance dark, twisted, filthy, and emotionally intense—with a protective sociopath who worships one person and one person only—Seven+Four is a must-read. It’s disturbing and comforting in equal measure. And I’m going to reread the entire Angels of Wrath series immediately.

🖤 “He’s not mine. He never was. But I will destroy anyone who tries to take him.”

Well that was beyond disappointing.

And you can tell the author is a huge fan of Dexter. And I love that because I love the show too 🥹🫶🏽. But no, I didn’t like how easily I could tell this was a Dexter-inspired story.

You know what? Maybe I’m just irritable today. I’ve dnf’d two books today. 😭 Honestly? I blame myself for expecting too much of this. Now i’m just hating on everything. Like I should love the fact that one of my favourite tv shows inspired this but no.

The whole “brothers who like to kill, one with a code and the other who doesn’t give a shit about a code”?
Azrael sending corpses to Uriel? 🤣 It was like watching season one of Dexter all over again. The Ice Truck Killer leaving bodies with secret messages.

“I don’t follow your cute code. I kill who I need to kill.”
“Blood never lies.” Fucking YAWN. At least try to be original? It was too damn OBVIOUS, and now I’m bored.

This book made me so sleepy. The long ass sociopath and psychopath explanations bored me to death. Truth is, I skipped those pages 😭 I’m not here for a bloody lecture.

Everyone bored me! Actually, when I started this, the characters seemed fun… until I started seeing pet names like Piglet and Little Wasp. Yeah, no. But seriously? Piglet? 😭 I thought I was seeing things when I read that.

And why does Lori speak like that? 😭 I wanted to read his book but yeah, never mind. If I can’t stand him here, I won’t survive his story.

“Don’t feel stupid, just remember some people voted for Donald Trump.”

Please keep this shit out of books. I don’t need to be reminded of the nonsense going on in real life right now. Thank you.

Did I like Uriel and Sariel? 🤣
Uhm honestly? I’d say I don’t have any feelings toward Uriel. I couldn’t care less about the guy.

But Sariel? I liked him. If he wasn’t such a doormat, I’d have loved him more though. Like stand up for yourself, dammit.

DNF at 66%.
I could only go so far. I probably would’ve finished this, but then I read:
“You have a nine-inch, pierced dick currently spearing your insides.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SPARE ME! The way I audibly laughed. A nine-inch penis? I was like damn, Uri is PACKING! Holy shit! I wonder if he needs bigger underwear to keep all that package buried? hidden underneath his pants.

After the masterpiece that is Pragma in the Mafia Babes books, I expected so much more. I have nobody to blame but myself.

And the fact that no one’s hating like damn is it me? Am I the drama?

I've been waiting for Sari's book for a long time, and it was just as I imagined.

By now I'm used too the way Paulina writes and how she builds the narrative with this series, so I could just sit back enjoy the book even with some elements that I didn't necessarily like, because it was all in the realm of the expected. This series is a comfort read for me, it's all so OTT and almost to the point of full blown craziness but I love it! It has a found family vibe with all the brothers and their loved ones making this huge beautiful family and just want more scenes of everyone lol. In other books it could've been hard to see so many characters with so much personality interacting at the same time with each other (Lori, Michael, Sari and Oli's drugged scene for example) but in here I just wanted more pages of banter, murder threats and cakes.

Another great element here is the plot, adding Uri's brother to the mix gave something fresh to focus on, I wanted to know all about him, how much did he know and how, is he a true ally? an enemy? And his scenes with Sari and the others were also very nice. The advance with the Phoenix situation and the big reveal at the end were also good to keep the interest in whats to come.

Now about Uri and Sari's relationship.... Sari is portrayed usually as a very intelligent person but also emotionally naive, which I get till some point, but he was being played and controlled by Uri and literally everyone but him could see it (love is blind but come on), and I couldn't vibe with it, I hate when you turn a character that it's smart in someone dumb just for the story. Another negative factor for me is how Uri could have sex with God knows how many people in that club, but he felt in the right to mess with Sari's love life and also denying their relationship to grow. Overall in this book Uri just pissed me a lot, even Raphael was more respectful and showed actual care and ''love'' for his partner. But like I said it wasn't anything unexpected, I do think they are made for each other and they have cute and important moments, but it could've been a lot better for us as readers to root for them and their HEA with a couple of changes in Uri's behavior

In conclusion, a great addition to the series. Excited for the final book.

Should I have gone to bed because I have work tomorrow? Was the plan to sleep by 10 pm, and it’s 10:54, maybe? Will I still start this book now? Umm, yes 🙈 Honestly, those Pauline Ian Kane books have me lassooed (thank you, Clover), and I have a feeling Uri’s and Sari’s story will be so very worthwhile 😏.

Okay, so wow, where do I start with Seven + Four?! The book is a buffet of everything and anything I could have imagined and more. Uri and Sari are foster brothers, but they never felt like brothers. We can see them kind of struggling in the previous books, and our favourite gremlin (aka Lori) gives them some hints, but boy, are they stubborn 🤯. Their book starts off with the brothers trying to find Saris’s stalker, Sari decided to get some distance between him and Uri because he has an unrequited crush on him for a very long time… on the other hand, Uri is trying to get Sari away from other men and closer to him, even if he is sure that Sari us way to angelic and innocent to ever apprciate the flavour Uri loves.

Sari is just the sweetest, an angel, and for me, he could be Felix from Stray Kids, just with long black hair. He is so kind and warm and innocent its just yeah, you need to fall in love with him! I love that he discovers his feminine side with all the other bottoms and that he tries to get out of his lab and find some new acquaintances. His other side, the one he hides from all of his brothers, is just 🔥.

And then Uri 🫠, he’s the sociopath and sadist of the family. His only weakness, a little whimper he heard when he was still imprisoned as a child, and those baby blue teary eyes 🫠. Sari is the only person who gets Uri to care, and Uri wants to keep him at all costs, and when I say all costs, I mean all costs 😮‍💨. Honestly, I loved Uri so much; we get to know so little of him in the books before, but he is probably my favourite of the tops. The way he designs his whole house to be perfect for Sari and also inspired by him made my heart melt 💕 how he loves things simply because Sari loves them 🩷 god he made my heart beat harder 💓.

They need a little help from fortuna until the inhibitions finally fall, but when they do, they get explosive 💣. And still they don’t realise how much they are made for each other 🤭. When finally all masks come off, there is no salvation left 🔥🔥. I could not put that book down, and I just had to read everything until my eyes fell shut and I had to pick up asap!!! Honestly, those two fit with the darker parts of my fantasies, and they will live rent-free with them for a very long time ⛓️

Did I love that they hype Flys lingerie? You bet I did! The end after the end, hilarious I mean I know what „they“ look like but I did not expect that coming 🤣🤣🤣

Summa summarum, this book gave me EVERYTHING 🔥 and I’ll definitely revisit eagerly and regularly⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever read.

From the first few chapters you can blatantly, blatantly tell this book is first draft, no editing

The characters are INSUFFERABLE. The main character (autistic coded, or at the least neurodivergent) is so weirdly infantilized by the rest ??? (And as a neurodivergent person, the representation is SO ASS lmao)

I’m not exaggerating when I say these characters are so insufferable.
There’s weirdly like, no contractions??? Which is weird because the rest of the book reads like it was written by a 12 year old trying their hand at writing a wattpad story??

Now, some quotes from the book.

“Distracted? The arsehole must have had a full plate! Perhaps you were his Wednesday fuck,” Lori suggests.

“That fucker! I’m so bloody irritated, since we have bugger all!”
“We have fuck all,” Ollie translates Lori’s words for me once again.

“It’s only been two months since she dumped you,” the woman is saying to her friend.
“Well, I haven’t had sex in months. I’m so pent up. Can I even remember how is it done?” the guy replies, all grumbly.
I swallow hard thinking about my situation and am so lost in my thoughts, I almost hit Lori’s back as he stops near their table.
“Don’t worry. It’s like riding a bicycle—only you are panty-less and there’s no seat…or actual pedals.” He pats the shocked guy’s shoulder before resuming his steps.

How IS IT done ???? Not how it is done ?? Also can we pls contract these words

I think I just took psychic damage from this. How is this the 6th book in the series and the writing is still shit???

Don’t read this

This is a Dark Romance with a vigilante family so please check the TWs before heading in. Also this is Book 5 in the Angels of Wrath Series and they do need to be read in order as there is an overarching plot with a bad guy 🤣

Gosh I was waiting for Sari and Uri's book FOREVER. I honestly have been obsessed with this family since book 1 but the little tid bits of Sari and Uri through the series had me just feral for this book.
Sari is the youngest "brother" of the group and the softest so to speak as he uses his genius brain to fight against the bad guys and not so much his brawn like the others. Since Uri laid eyes on him when he was Eight, Sari has been declared his...his to protect, his to possess...Just HIS. So when Sari starts trying to build a life of his own away from Uri...well it doesn't go too well and Uri acts as any other Sociopath would and makes moves get Sari to live with him for a bit 🤣
Really for a genius and a Sociopath who is supposed to be extremely perceptive these two could not have been more obtuse! After a whole bunch of slow burning and miscommunication all the truths finally come out and it was like someone lit a match to the book 🔥 Holy shit did the heat turn up...like read next to a fan and a spray bottle if possible! These two were absolutely made for each other like every piece of one just fit with the other and the way Paulina writes these guys is why I love her. Honestly they way she has written all the guys and their counter parts gives you the same feeling so seeing Sari and Uri come together perfectly wasn't a surprise but how we got there was lol. All the little Cameos were perfection im absolutely loving the little group Lori has spear headed and of course the Bro group chat was just Unhinged 🤣
Ok ok last thing because I'm just gushing about my love for Paulina and these guys at this point but the Screetch I let out When we got a look at our next pair went up to a decibel I think only dogs could hear...I'm now going to be so impatiently waiting for the next book 😭

Seven + Four is the fifth book in the Angels of Wrath series! This is about Uriel and Sariel, foster brothers who are obsessed and grew up co-dependent. Sariel doesn’t think Uriel wants him and has been keeping a bunch of secrets, including his long lost twin brother. He decides to pull away and start having a life, but he is having the worst luck dating, all his dates have sudden issues. Also, his apartment is overrun by rats and Uriel tells him he has to move to his home. His home being Sariel’s dream house, including his own personal lab and an entire room for his hairless guinea pig.
Even with them in the same home, same bed (because they always slept in the same bed before), Uriel is still keeping secrets. It all snaps when Sariel follows him to a club that caters to a certain clientele.

I love Uriel’s utter, unapologetic, obsession with Sari. He doesn’t care what people, even Sari, thinks- he will have him. I love Sari’s backbone and his determination to stand up for himself. I also love that they complement each other perfectly. There is some gaslighting that I am not the biggest fan of, but it wasn’t that bad- or, maybe I have read too much dark romance 😂. I am so excited for the next book and to see what happens!!

Sariel Bear-Stone has spent his life entwined with his foster brother, Uriel Mahoe, who is also his protector and an unrequited, never-ending crush. Sariel believes Uriel, a sociopath, can't reciprocate his feelings, despite thinking he knows everything about him. However, recent revelations about Uriel have caused Sariel to distance himself, though moving on has proven difficult. A string of disastrous dates, a rat infestation, and a dangerous stalker eventually force Sariel back into Uriel's overprotective care. Sariel, no longer naive, craves something dark and desperate that Uriel seems unwilling or unable to provide. With his other brothers having found their partners, Sariel questions if he and Uriel are fated to be together or to die side by side. Uriel, for his part, sees Sariel as "My Sari," "My Baby Blue," and definitively "Mine."

I loved this dark story with the two men who in their own way loved each other deeply (and obsessively). After what they both went through it was no surprise that they both had a need for darkness in their lives. There were lots of complex feelings and emotions as they sorted out their relationship as well as finding out more about the family's enemy. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

These two were great

Felt like forever waiting for their story

“The number of ways to describe him is overflowing my brain. My protector. My best friend. My safe place. My first crush. My earliest morning thought and last nightly dream.”

“I don’t love you, Sari. Love is such a tricky, fleeting emotion”
“I see you as mine,” he whispers, almost sinfully, “I always have. My body and mind both agree on where you belong: by my side. Permanently. Even if I have to go to the farthest depths of hell to keep you.”

I would have loved to see Sari find his confidence a bit more and Uri reassure him a bit more as well, maybe build him up a bit more.

They were still great

The dedication Uri has to Sari is unmatched. The tattoos! Sheesh
Level 100 dedicated to Sari that's for sure. Loved it !

“The only thing irrevocably mine in this world is you, Sari. Your love, your quirkiness, your cluelessness, your inner strength, your sexy body. All of you. I won’t apologize or feel contrite for making you mine. I can’t. It would be a lie,” he deadpans.

Cannot wait for the next book
Intriguing!

If I had to describe Sari and Uri in one word, it would 100% be - CHEMISTRY!

I've been intrigued by Sari and Uri since book one, there always seemed to be such crazy attraction in the short snippets where we would see them interact. I've been waiting for their story! Uri is a sociopath who immensely enjoys inflicting pain. Uri is possessive personified, he absolutely will not allow Sari to be with anyone else (even if he feels he cannot have him in all the ways he wants). I love obsessive, possessive characters, but I think it has to be written with care in order to make the other MC not seem like a doormat. I feel Paulina Ian-Kane did a great job with this here, it never once felt like Sari was being a pushover. These two just oozed chemistry for me, and their spice was top tier - detailed and descriptive scenes, and Uri's dirty talk?? *Chef's kiss!!*

I feel like the plot here moved along the overarching story very well. Gabe & Lori were my favorite couple in this series, but Sari and Uri have most definitely taken that spot! I am so intrigued by Ezra, and Phoenix?! I can't wait to learn more!

Another good book in this series. I definitely thought things were going to be wrapping up with this book but there will be at least one more since we are left on a cliffhanger (for overall story, not this couple).
I'd been looking forward to these guys since the first book and I was slightly underwhelmed, thought it was still a good book. I wanted to like Uri more but he is who he is I guess. I wish Sari had stood by his convictions and demanded some respect and boundaries. I don't feel like anyone respects him anymore than they did at the start of the book. I wanted him to really prove his strength.
Really great spice in this story and plenty of it once we get to that point.
I don't feel like this will be that big of a spoiler but I'll mark it as such and give some space.

I didn't love how the first of Sari's stalkers was written. Since that was the only storyline of note in this book, Sari's succinct overview of what happened with their capture and disposal made it painfully obvious that that wouldn't be the only stalker in the story. I wish that had been written differently so it was an actual surprise when there was a second stalker.

What a brutal, intoxicating ride.

Uri’s sociopathy is handled in a way that’s both chilling and honest — he doesn’t love; he obsesses, owns, demands, commands. And Sari? He loves Uri but believes Uri sees him as nothing more than a brother. He’s terrified — of Uri’s lack of empathy, of his own masochistic desires, and of Uri’s sadistic edge lurking in the foreground, the background, and every other ground that exists. Both men are convinced that what they crave would disgust the other, that true understanding is impossible.

And that’s what makes this so compelling: two idiots circling each other, convinced they’re incompatible, while being painfully, dangerously perfect together.

The romance was a bit too slow burn for me, and I wanted more relationship before everything exploded around them — and a stronger HEA after. But damn if it wasn’t hot, dark, and psychologically fascinating. Watching them finally collide felt inevitable and catastrophic in the best way.

Uri and Sari were absolutely delectable — obsession meeting devotion, fear meeting acceptance — even if I wanted just a little more of them together at the end.

PLEASE BEAWARE THAT THIS IS BOOK 5 IN A DARK ROMANCE SERIES WHICH DOES NEED TO BE CONSUMED IN ORDER. CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING.

I have been waiting for this book since the book and I can honestly say it did not disappoint in the slightest. Sari is the youngest brother of the vigilante family, who throughout the series has used his intelligence to fight evil instead of fists. Uri, being the sociopath he is, wants to protect Sari in all ways…. This becomes slightly difficult when Sari decides that he wants to trying doing the adult thing and make a life on his own in the big bad world…. Let's just say Uri has some thoughts and actions on that.

Honestly, this was so good from the slow burn to the feelings and the sexy times - it was a chef's kiss. When you hear of two people being two halves of the same whole then that is Sari and Uri. The love that they have for each other is sexy and beautiful and raw.

Shout out to The Man The Myth The Legend that is Lori. Everyone needs a Lori.

Lemme start with what I struggled with: Uri. Like I KNOW he’s a sociopath but the way he treated Sari just left me uncomfortable. And I feel like Sari ultimately had to change part of himself to be with Uri. And that *kinda* bothered me.

God, these two were HOT AS FvCK. Once those scenes started, I was like HELL YEA. But leading up to it was exhausting. The scene at the kink club? Made me hurt SO BAD. I feel like Sari needed a bit—more—in the end.

The story was so good though and the spoilers at the end for what’s to come?

YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY

I can’t wait for Ezra and his boy and then the next spin off! I’m so ready for it allllll!

It was great seeing all the brothers. The entire “powder” scene had me cackling. I seriously had tears running down my face.

And did I mention how friggin HAWT Suri were? Omgggg. Marking and cvckwarming and pain and restraints.

Miscommunication sucks but it’s a weird line in these stories as we’re dealing with emotionally stunted men.

Le sigh.

Uri&Sari were perfection and so anticipated leading up to this book! Their bond was obvious from book one amd seeing them come together in this long anticipated book was sooo worth it. This book was an easy 5✨ read and had all the spice you expect from a Paulina book! Seeing the difference in how uri and sari procces their emotions towards eachother was truly facinating and honestly my first sociopath romance. Psychopath is commin but seeing a diffrent angel with a character thats a sociopath was truly interesting especially one like Uri! This series has been a favorite of mine from book 1 and I cant wait to see what comes next! I highly reccomend divung into the series if you haven’t and if you have run to grab your copy of Seven&Four. As always you get snippits from all the brothers and of course our favorite side characters and finally some anwsers on who eight is. so buckle up and dive into another masterpiece because thats exactly what this book is!

LOVE! Such a great book, finally seeing Uri and Sari together!

Though Sari has been Uris obsession since the moment he saw him, he has never acted on his impulse to fully own him - given his proclivity to cause pain, he doesn’t want to actually hurt the sweet and delicate man.

Little does he realize though that Sari craves the pain. And has been in love with him forever. But Sari tries to pull away because he thinks Uri will never see him that way and tries to put some distance between them. But, Uri being a sociopath means that Sari is his possession. His obsession. And he will never let him pull away. When he learns that Sari craves the pain, it’s all on.

Not even a crazed stalker will come between them.

Such a great story! So much spicy spice, obsession, and of course the moider and torcha we have come to love of the angels of wrath! I am so excited that there will be another story!!

Oh, and piercings.. 🫠

If you haven’t read this series, go get on it right now!!

Sari is the highly intelligent one of the foster brothers, he knows they see him as weak, he isn’t!
Uri is obsessed with Sari, even more with a stalker lurking around. Nobody touches Sari, he’s Uri’s, only Uri’s!
Sari is in love with Uri, but the sociopath can’t love him in return, Sari has to let him go and find someone who wants him.

Sari has a dark secret. Uri can never know, he’ll despise him for it.
Uri can’t give it to him, Sari wouldn’t survive what Uri can provide. Ha! Little does he know!

Watch them! Sari is trying to keep Uri at a distance, Uri who keeps Sari even closer.
Besides their struggles, there are some family (some ongoing) side stories.

It’s a story full of events, super captivating, sexy af, never one dull moment. I love stories with protective, obsessive characters, and here you’ll find it in a very satisfying way!

Damn, I was so not ready for this!

This was so good. This series has had me in a chokehold. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first - I’ve always liked it but having to wait for Seven+Four made me realize how much I love this series and this book 1000% delivered. I was distraught after I finished five and realized this wasn’t out yet and have been impatiently waiting for this book for too long. Sari and Uri’a story was so much more than I expected. The lack of understanding of each other’s wants and needs was so compelling. I don’t like miscommunication as a plot device but with these two it was more lack of communication than actual miscommunication and made total sense with their characters. Uri’a obsession was so visceral and Sari’s feelings and fears were so relatable. I think this is my favorite book so far in the series! I cannot wait for the next one!

Okay so!! I did like Sari and Uri their miscommunication though had me irritated at times. I’m not the biggest fan of slow burn and I feel like they kinda were and that okay I was just getting a bit bored for the first half of the book. I understand that uri was a sociopath but I wish he would let sari breathe a bit and think for himself but overall I did like them as a couple and their was very complexed. I REALLY thought we were gonna find out who phoenix was in this book but wooo we were left on cliffhanger and to find out the phoenix is “nine” was wild I wasn’t expecting that at alllllllll. Also I love Ezra🤣 I didn’t think I wasn’t going to but damn he was making me giggle and I hope him and uri find a way to get back there sibling bond in anyway they can! 3.9 ⭐️ rating for me!! Can’t wait for the next one to come out and join back one of my fav chaotic book families
