A Hollywood executive. Her irresistible nanny. A forbidden fling that will heal their hearts or shatter them.
Abby Peters can’t catch a break. Stuck in a nightmare nannying job to make rent on her shared Los Angeles apartment, she’s barely scraping by. However, her vindictive ex-wife is hell-bent on reinserting herself into Valerie’s life, even if that means destroying her and everything she’s built. As the relationship between Abby and Valerie deepens, their undeniable connection threatens to unravel Valerie’s empire. Can the two women risk it all for love, or will their pasts tear them apart?

Anna has written another incredible book; she has surpassed herself, and this is undoubtedly one of her best works yet. The book is captivating, steamy, entertaining, and exciting throughout, and I found it impossible to put down.
The storyline is beautifully crafted, and the development of the relationship between Abby and Valerie is perfectly executed. The BDSM aspect of the book is written to perfection. The plot is fantastic and keeps you engaged throughout.
Abby is the perfect submissive, and on the other end, Valerie is the perfect Domme. They were both eager to satisfy each others needs and are absolutely perfect for each other. Honestly, most, if not all, of the steamy scenes in this book are mouth-watering good that it will have you needing a cold shower afterwards.
Anna's books are all exquisite, and I highly recommend this one, along with all of her others. I can't wait for the next instalment of this amazing series.
Star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice rating. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
In this book you can clearly see Anna's writing evolution. I follow her since the Irresistibly Bound series and let me tell you she never disappont! At her service is the perfect book for those of you who are looking for: -Single Mom -Forced Proximity -Nanny Romance -Wealth Gap -Slow Burn -Age Gap -Almost Kiss -Instant Attraction -Accidental Admission -BDSM -Instant Attraction with the sweetest HEA and Bipoc MC.
Another great addition to the Club Velvet series! Valerie and Abby were both fantastic main characters, and the inclusion of two-year-old Hazel brought a sweet, tender layer to their relationship that really worked. The story had a similar vibe to Boss of Her when it comes to drama and emotional tension, so if you enjoyed that one, there's a good chance you’ll enjoy this too. It was also a treat to see Olivia, Elle, Jade and Simone make a return—always fun to catch up with familiar faces and see how they’re doing.
I definitely missed reading something by Anna Stone since last year. The ease of reading her books was exactly what I needed to pull me out of the month-long reading slump I was stuck in.
Abby and Valerie are such sweet characters. You feel their chemistry from the very beginning, and it only gets better over time.
I'm a sucker for nanny romances, and this book is now my favorite among them. The best part was Hazel. She's a lovely kid, and seeing her connection with Abby, along with her growing confidence, made me so happy.
Overall, this is a must-read. I can genuinely say it's the author's best work so far.
Thank you so much to Anna Stone for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such an enjoyable read, a great combination of hot and sweet. Valerie, the older powerful dom but also such a sweet mum an lover. Abby, much younger but mature beyond her years starts out as the nanny but is soon so much more. They fit together perfectly in their dom/sub relationship and they are so hot. I read the book in public on a plane and that was not the smartest choice.
Of course something or in this case someone comes between them, Vanessa’s horrible ex-wife Vanessa. Abby feels betrayed so some damage control needed.
The only thing I can complain about is that I would like more of them. It would have been great to at least get a prologoue to understand where they came from before they met each other.
I received an ARC from the author and leave a review voluntarily.
This one didn't hit home for me.. I didn't feel any chemistry between the two MCs ... but obviously just my opinion.. always check books out for yourself before going with reviews.
What could she do but obey? What did she want but to obey?
2.5 stars. This was fine. Which, alas, seems to be my mantra for Stone's books. I always read her blurbs and get excited, because the plots genuinely always sound so good to me. But the writing is often so bland and same-y, which prevents me from getting into it, and the conflicts always annoy me.
This is an age gap, boss/employee nanny romance between a Hollywood executive and her new nanny. All tropes that I love, or at least can be convinced to love. They meet by chance in the park, when Val's daughter is separated from her temporarily, and she ends up meeting and bonding with Abby. Since her daughter doesn't really like or talk to many people, Val is eager to secure Abby as a nanny. But there's also an undeniable attraction between them, which they quickly succumb to.
- I like nanny romances in the same way I like single parent romances, because I think it's cute to see the couple get closer through the kid. We got almost none of that here. Most of the time when we see Hazel, she's either napping or about to fall asleep. We barely get to see Abby interact with her. She's a shy kid that barely talks to anyone, but she immediately loved Abby. Why? What is it about Abby that she's so drawn to? We don't see it in the first meeting, and then we barely see them together after that. We hardly get any scenes with the three of them together; also a disappointment.
- Abby's backstory is my least favourite kind of clumsily written, underdeveloped whump. Cartoonish villainy from her parents and old bosses. It was a little tiresome.
- I always hate an evil ex storyline, and this was the most caricaturish evil ex I've seen in some time.
- The conflict is the kind that could have been handled from day one. Or at least addressed from day one. The problem continuously walks up to Valerie and says, "Hi, I'm a problem." And Valerie refuses to acknowledge or deal with it. She just ignores and denies, even while it continues to escalate, and then she makes a Pikachu face when it all blows up in the third act. It was very frustrating to read.
- I know Abby is young, but that fact that she couldn't understand why Val didn't want to be seen as taking advantage her her nanny was really frustrating. She continued to view it was Val "keeping her a dirty little secret". And it's like... girl, you wanted this relationship. Honestly, I expected that to be part of the conflict, especially since it was something that Valerie feared. Being seen as a typical Hollywood creep, I mean. But nope, it never really comes up.
- The writing is so cliché.
- I realise I've only really talked about my complaints... but I swear I did mostly like this. The setup was really cute. Sometimes, the chemistry was sweet and the sex was hot. There were at least two moments that made me giggle.
Listened to the audiobook as read by Allie Shae, and that probably accounts for most of my fond feelings. She has a great voice, and really brought this to life. I should probably give up on Stone, but IDK. Something always drags me back.
Wow... that was some sweetly intoxicating stuff. I love this. Crazy ex-wives always pulling up with their drama, amazing. Powerful single mom, fabulous. And nanny... ooh adorable nanny. I loved it. It was perfect for the night.
Wow! Anna Stone knocks this out of the park! I love a good single mom romance novel and having her fall for the nanny makes it oh so much better!! I highly highly recommend this book! The spice is off the charts!! And the strap scenes and I mean multiple strap scenes 🥵🥵🥵
Another amazing read by the fabulous Anna Stone! I am always so excited for her new releases and this one did not let me down!! The steam was off the charts yet also sweet and sensual. It flowed well with the dynamics of Valerie and Abby’s developing relationship. The trust and vulnerability on a D/s relationship is beautiful and the consent and communication is goals for any relationship, truly. I was captivated from start to finish. Highly recommend!!!
Abby is tailor made for Valerie. She is amazing with her daughter and she loves to be a submissive. They will have some struggles but they will get through it. It’s a story you need to read and experience. Can’t wait for the audiobook for this book YUM
Another brilliant book by Anna Stone. I truly enjoy her books. The give and take in her characters is a delight to read. The secondary characters are well developed and added to the storyline. The angst was done well. The resolution was beautifully done. I always look forward to a new book by Anna Stone, and it usually goes to the top of my tbr. I will continue to follow her.
I can never eloquently put into words how much I love certain books and this one is no exception. I’ve truly loved all of Anna Stone’s books and I have been craving the release of At Her Service. I remember when Boss of Her was released and how captivated I was of not only Simone but of all of the owners of Club Velvet.
At Her Service is a fantastic continuation of the Club Velvet series. In this book, we get to truly meet Valerie Kane, the powerhouse movie executive, and behind all that, Madame V. We get a small glimpse of where her story was potentially heading at the end of Boss of Her. A forbidden romance between Valerie and her very off-limits nanny, Abby Peters. Valerie doesn’t have time or the space in her heart for her very tempting nanny, no matter how alluring she may look on her knees. As their working relationship develops, Valerie’s past is hellbent on catching back up to her. The biggest question for both Valerie and Abby is, love worth the risks?
Anna has this beautiful way of building the perception of an icy woman. The stunningly gorgeous exterior (red lips included), fiercely independent, and undoubtedly strong in all aspects. But underneath all that, a soft, warm, and gentle interior - that always makes me melt and want to drop to my knees for these ladies. If you haven’t read any of her previous books, you should know that the book does include BDSM. Honestly, she is my favorite author that writes BDSM. Everything about it, from the details of the sensations, to the undeniable trust between the two MC’s, and the aftercare is a freaking chefs kiss. The spice is always intoxicating and leaves me breathless. What I love the most is the vulnerability in each character and their ability to open themselves up.
I can rave about At Her Service forever. I’ll probably end up annoying my wife and discord buddies about how phenomenal this book is. The third act would feel a little rushed to most but I’m also a sucker for quick resolutions, so that did not bother me at all. This book is definitely worth the read and if you haven’t read Boss of Her, then really should as well. I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series goes with Elle and Olivia. My fingers are crossed that we also get a book for Ashton as well. Pretty please lol.
Thank you Anna Stone for the ARC opportunity. I’m excited for this release and for everyone else to fall in love with Valerie and Abby.
Hands Down>> 5 stars. Valerie and Abby were *perfection*. so many good things to say but I will update when it's released so I don't give anything away.
Abby is a nanny, working for a family that doesn’t appreciate her. They force her to do things way outside her job description, and if she complains they threaten her. When in the park taking care of her charges, she sees a toddler fall, crying. Abby’s caring nature takes over. Valerie is always busy, currently on an important work call while in the park with her daughter. But soon she realises Hazel isn’t in the pram. She eventually finds her in the good care of Abby, and seeing the way Hazel and Abby have instantly bonded, on the spot she offers Abby a job as her nanny. Valerie is part owner of Club Velvet, a BDSM club dedicated solely to women. There she can be herself, away from her busy job and the stresses of everyday life. The club is her escape from everything, even her insistent ex-wife Francesca. I don’t understand BDSM, the want, the need to feel as a dominant or submissive, but I can appreciate it. The way this is written (and other books in the same style too, some also by Anna Stone) I really feel the pull. But it must be done with mutual consent, with respect from all parties, and Anna Stone shows that clearly; the immediate asking about safe words, mutual consent and permission. That in itself is sexy as hell. It’s empowering, for both the domme and the sub, and it also shows the sub is not less important; they put themselves in that position because they want to have their free agency temporarily suspended, with safeguards. Often in other parts of their lives they live a totally different reality. This is a well written book with several steamy parts, and they are written so well, pulling us into their time together, and the chemistry between the women is great. But for some reason the book just didn’t click with me throughout. The beginning, and all the time Abby was getting into her new job made me want to read more, Valerie and Abby together was so sweet, the ongoing situation with Francesca and Valerie was good, making us want to really hate Francesca, and especially the Club Velvet scenes were excellent. However, towards the end the story seemed to peter out. The reconciliation between the two women was a rush, a bit of an anticlimax. I remember reading others in this series, and felt they were superior, so I am comparing this with other books by Anna Stone, but compared with other authors this is still excellent.
3.8 ⭐️ A very spicy nanny/Hollywood movie exec sapphic romance that I flew through.
I do love a spicy read but I also need an intriguing enough plot with the spice to get me through it. Anna is great at mixing drama elements here with the central romance, something angsty in the background to keep you gripped by the story.
I rooted for the romance between the characters and both MC’s are well fleshed out.
However I did think the pacing needed more focus, especially with the more dramatic side to the plot. It was pretty glazed over and rushed at times, and at one point a character was leaning towards comical villain.
Saying that, I enjoyed this and read it in a day. It’s a fun and spicy read.
Rep// White bi/pan woman MC (23), Black lesbian MC (30s?), Sapphic SC’s. Central romance is Sapphic/WLW. (Employee/Boss, age-gap.)
Setting: USA, LA.
TWs listed below, please skip if you don’t want vague spoilers.
TW// stalking, break in, threats and blackmail, verbally abusive parents (past).
Spice TW// Impact play (spanking, flogging, riding crop), oral, face sitting, dom/sub themes, anal sex, strap-ons, voyeurism & public sex (sex club), restraints & bondage, collaring, praise and ownership themes, age-gap, wealth gap.
I’m not into BDSM and while some of the wording I didn’t like, I know it’s a part of the community and I’m glad Anna Stone was the first author I’ve read that wrote about BDSM. It opened my eyes to it and while it’s still not for me, I can appreciate it for what it is. I liked that Valerie always took care of Abby.
I do wish there was more Abby and Hazel interaction that we got to see!
I absolutely devoured this book. Valerie (Madame V) was quite the mystery to me after reading Boss of Her, the first book in the Club Velvet series, and I enjoyed getting to know her. She’s a powerhouse, a total boss. But she has her secrets. And maybe Abby the nanny is just one of them 😏 I absolutely loved Abby and her interactions with Hazel were just too precious. If there was ever a person who should be a nanny, it’s definitely Abby.
I love Anna Stone‘s writing. And this book, it’s sizzling 🔥🥵 I can’t wait for the third book in the series.
I’ve received this book as an Advanced Review Copy
This is a captivating awesome read but there's also lots to learn from this story. For readers like me who get most of their exposure from stories, learning more about the BDSM world from characters who are serious and genuine is a necessity and a treasure. This is such a book. I highly recommend this novel, unless you for certain are not into any open mindedness about this world. Then you probably will be uncomfortable. If you are straddling the line and would like to know more, grab this, it's perfect.
Ohh, a new Anna Stone book! Tantalising sex scenes, an intriguing plot line, and characters you won’t want to let go of. Luckily, since it’s a part of the Club Velvet series, we won’t have to because we will always get to revisit with them in other stories.
Abby is a nanny working for bad pay and parents who treat her like trash. When Valerie, a high-profile Hollywood producer, offers her a job, she can’t turn it down. Not only because the money will be great, but the instant chemistry between her and Valerie is hot.
As the two women get to know each other, sticking to a professional relationship is impossible. When Valerie and Abby move into a dome/sub dynamic, the pieces fall into place. That is until Abby begins to feel like a dirty secret, and Valerie is terrified her feelings will destroy her career. But Abby and Valerie are meant to be together, and an ex-wife, workplace politics, or family trauma can’t keep them apart for long.
Anna Stone has continued her winning streak with At Her Service. Valerie is the older, sexy untouchable woman desired by everyone who meets her, and Abby is the hot, off-limits, irresistible girl next door. Each have their faults but still manage to be relatable to some extent. The BDSM scenes are written with skill and tact while being hot as hell, making this a story a page turner you don’t want to be caught reading out in public!
I received an ARC from the author and am leaving a voluntary review.

Anna Stone strikes again with At Her Service, a blazing hot age-gap romance that combines irresistible chemistry with high-stakes emotional tension. True to form, Stone delivers a captivating and sensual story that’s as steamy as it is heartfelt, with a delicious setup: a powerful Hollywood executive and her off-limits, impossibly tempting live-in nanny.
From the first encounter between Valerie and Abby, the chemistry is undeniable. Valerie, the ice-queen powerhouse who co-runs the mysterious and elite Club Velvet, exudes command and restraint — until Abby walks into her life and turns everything upside down. The dynamic between them is magnetic: Abby’s vulnerability and youthful charm crash into Valerie’s iron control, sparking a slow-burn, forbidden affair that simmers until it boils over in the best way.
Stone is known for writing romances that are not only wildly sexy but emotionally engaging, and that’s the case here. The evolution of Abby and Valerie’s relationship, from hesitant attraction to deeply emotional connection, is one of the book’s greatest strengths. Their intimate scenes are, of course, off-the-charts hot, but what shines is the growing trust and tenderness layered beneath the heat.
That said, while the romance is front and center and highly satisfying, some elements of the broader plot, particularly the conflict with Valerie’s vindictive ex-wife and parts of Abby’s subplot, felt like they needed just a bit more development to reach their full potential. A few threads felt slightly rushed or underexplored, especially given the high-stakes nature of Valerie’s personal and professional world.
Still, none of that detracted from my overall enjoyment. It is fast-paced, gripping, and satisfying. The ending delivers a beautiful emotional resolution, it’s romantic, redemptive, and ties together the story’s emotional journey.
If you’re already a fan of Anna Stone, this book is a steamy, emotional ride you’ve come to expect. Come for the spice, stay for the growing feelings, and the glimpse into the seductive world of Club Velvet. I’m looking forward to the next installment of this series.
I don’t really have that much to say about this book tbh, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great… but I think it was exactly what I needed to read at this point in time. It was satisfying to read although the age gap wasn’t really my thing, I hadn’t realised that one of the characters was 23 and I almost DNFed if fairly on but I’m glad that I did read it until the end.
These kind of books heal a part of me and for that I am very thankful for.
Also I LOVED the relationship between Hazel and Abby, I didn’t realise how much I was into the wlw single mother trope but here we are. I also really loved the friendship between Abby and Erin, Erin was so sweet and kind to Abby but also firm in getting her to give Valerie another chance. And Abby adopting Hazel at the end was cute. Some of the writing style wasn’t really doing it for me, especially some of the elaborate vocab that was used by Valerie when describing things but other than that the scenes were well written.

💙Age gap 💙Boss/Nanny 💙Slow burn 💙Forbidden romance
Anna Stone’s books always get me in a chokehold because once I finish one, I instantly wanna reread all the others 😩 and At Her Service was no different. It was hot, delicious, had drama, some angst and just the perfect mix of steamy and sweet.
This is part of the Club Velvet series and follows Valerie, a movie exec who also happens to be Madam V 😏 and Abby, the nanny to her daughter Hazel (who is adorable! I loved her relationship with Abby). The chemistry between Valerie and Abby?? Yeahhh it was giving. I don’t know why it took me so long to read this!
Also — the BDSM was written sooo tastefully. It was hot but not over the top. Just enough. Highly recommend if you’re into sapphic books with spice and heart.
I really enjoyed book one in this series and honestly didn’t think it could get better. My god I was wrong!! This book was amazing!! It had everything I could ever want from an Anna Stone book, forbidden romance, age gap, BDSM, unhinged ex 🤣🤣 I tandem read with audio…so definitely need to take a moment to appreciate the magnificent Allie Shae, she truly outdid herself with this one!! It was phenomenal, she did amazing at voicing both FMC’s, the emotions, the gay lust filled panic over her boss 😂 and the spicy scenes 🫠🔥 melted, deceased….wow, just wow! Definitely recommend. MJ Spice approved. Go read it. Or better yet, grab the audiobook!
Written in third person with 2x POV’s. Narrated by Allie Shae. Femme/Femme, Age Gap (17), Single Parent, Workplace Romance, BDSM, Domme/Sub Dynamic, Forbidden Romance. 8x Spicy Scenes.
That is another outstanding book by Anna Stone. And it is my very favorite troupe. Ice Queen with a side of Age Gap. And also a lot of spice thrown in. No one does it better than Anna. This is the 2nd story in the Club Velvet world. A very high-class BDSM Club. Valerie is a top media producer who needs a nanny for her daughter Hazel. Abby happens to come to Hazel's rescue in the park. And the story begins. There are some hurdles that add some much intrigue. I highly recommend you read this book first chance you get.
