Lorelei Chanda's blueprints never prepared her for the ground literally shifting beneath her feet. On her thirtieth birthday, mysterious tremors rock the city. Before she can make sense of her world turning upside down, a devastatingly handsome stranger appears with an impossible she's causing the earthquakes with powers she never knew she possessed.
Prince Draken Xander, the commanding alpha of the Moonshadow pack, has spent his life waiting for a wolf mate worthy of standing beside him as Luna. Instead, fate delivers him a human woman with earth-shattering powers and eyes that make his wolf howl for connection. Tradition demands he reject this match, but every protective instinct in his body roars to claim and protect her.
As Lorelei struggles to control the raw power surging through her veins, an undeniable attraction builds between them—one as primal and unstoppable as the elements themselves. When dark forces close in, determined to harness Lorelei's power for themselves, she must embrace her newfound abilities while Draken faces the ultimate uphold pack tradition or follow his heart to the human mate who's shaken the very foundation of his world.
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
This is a very different story by Milly Taiden, wonderful characters and storyline that’s riveting Lorelei Chanda had not been prepared for her thirtieth birthday and the ground beneath her feet actually moving and this had all happened on her thirtieth birthday. As frightened as she is she is also a little bemused by the stranger that suddenly appeared in her life with answers to the unexplained occurrences. Prince Draken Xander is a commanding alpha of Moonshadow Pack, he has always expected that one day he would find his mate but had never for a moment thought she would be a human that would make his wolf prance around like a puppy. Then his tradition demands that he turn her away but his instincts insist that he make her his and his body is roaring to life and into protect mode. I guarantee that you will love every moment of this book it will most definitely hold you riveted within its captivating pages. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Moon’s Call begins the Royal Lupine Elementals series with Lorelai’s and Draken’s steamy, unexpected romance. Draken has waited years, long years, to finally find his Luna, his mate. The very last thing he expected was to be drawn to a human, one very stubborn human at that, who has no idea that she’s come into her earth magic, or how to control the power surging through her now. In a pack that’s steeped in tradition, Draken has to navigate not only his growing love for Lorelai, but convince his pack that just because she’s human, she’s no less his fated destiny or the pack’s promised Luna.
As always, Moon’s Call by Milly Taiden is extremely hot, steamy, passionate, and full of emotions as one Alpha and his Luna figure out how to make this work. With more than a few chuckles, and characters that I cannot wait to read their upcoming stories, this one was a hit with me. If you love a well-written, steam up your glasses romance, with characters you’ll fall in love with, then this one is a perfect fit for you.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Lorelei is an architect who just celebrated her 30th birthday. Draven is a centuries old wolf prince who now has indication that his mate has just come into her powers. Imagine his surprise when he discovers she is a human who understands nothing about her new earth magic or her status as his Luna. Could he really be expected to mate a human?
So, Lorelei doesn't have a clue how to be the Luna of a wolf pack, nor is she sure she wants to give up her life to mate with a wolf shifter. Draven can't understand why Lorelei doesn't feel the connection to him that he does to her or why she wants time to consider her options. But there is someone else out their who wants her magic and, until she is claimed by Draven, she is in great danger.
I can't wait to see who the next book will be about. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary
Moon’s Call is the start to a fun new series from Milly Taiden. When an earthquake erupts in an unlikely place on her 30th birthday, Lorelei writes it off as a fluke. When the rooftop’s support beam breaks in such a way that it delivers a precision strike against unwanted intrusion, her logical, architect mind struggled for an explanation.
But the truth? Magic? Earth powers? Being Luna to a prince? Yeah… way too much crazy for her structured mind.
I really enjoyed this story. How Draken and Lorelei had to learn to navigate their unique bond and differences.
Prince Draken's and Alpha of the Shadow Moon pack has desired his Luna and it has come to fruition and he is thrilled after such a long wait, he finds things are not as simple as he expected and his Luna puts a wrench in his happily ever after.
Lorelei an Architect celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her friends and something strange happens. When she meets the prince she's not impressed. Interesting characters, romance, magic. Book 1 in series. I read a copy without obligation. II volunteered an honest review.
I’m completely obsessed with all of Milly Taiden’s books and this one is no exception.
I love any shifter series but really enjoy wolf shifter series the most out of them all and this book checked all the boxes. Sexy, protective MMC with a fierce and strong FMC. I also really loved all the names in this first book.
I’m hoping to see more of Lorelei and Draken in the rest of the series but have a feeling it will only be in passing and shift to the other Alpha’s.
Moon’s Call (Royal Line Elementals Book 1) by Milly Taiden. It’s Lorelei’s 30th birthday and unknown to her, her magic starts to come out. Darken, wolf shifter and Prince and Alpha of his pack feels the magic and realises the magic is coming from his mate and Luna. When Draken finds Lorelei he is put off at first because she is a human but he becomes to realise he didn’t care.
It was a good book and tight storyline, but the reason I gave it 4stars is because everything moved so quickly. One minute they meet the next week he’s upset she doesn’t want to be marked! Then suddenly she changes her mind because things feel odd because he’s not there …
Maybe I’m being unfair, but it would of been nice to learn more about Drakken too, as all we learned was that he is a Alpha and doesn’t like being told no ,,
What's a girl supposed to do? Lorelei's life began to shift on her 30th birthday- quite literally. The ground, buildings, began to shift....and one certain wolf prince- Draken had everything to do with it. Wolves, the moon, being Luna? Swoonworthy hero and kick butt heroine- fabulous 1st book in a new series by Milly Taiden!
Something natural about Milly's writing. You get all the same ingredients, love, action, the usual baddy, but it all blends together, sweetly and neatly. Draken, the Wolf Prince, finds his Luna, his fated mate, but is horrified to find she's human, however, love prevails and there is a surprise in store for both. Just love these shifter stories.
I loved it. I couldn’t put it down. Draken was skeptical but then realized Lorelei was more than meets the eye. She held her own and showed a strength he didn’t see coming. lol. Amazing job.
If you like paranormal romance books with added twists and turns, then look no further. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I received this book as an ARC, but this is my honest review.
This was okay. The plot was easy to follow although a little rushed. The characters were flat and seemed like they were lifeless. I felt like there was a lot of talk about FMC being an architect and it seemed like that was all she is. I was able to finish it but it took a bit longer because I wasn't really invested.
