Ravenous is a brutal, addictive, and unapologetically dark continuation of Amethyst Winters’ series. This is not a standalone if you haven’t read Insatiable first, you’ll miss vital context for Remi and Aria’s twisted, chaotic relationship. Winters pushes the boundaries of dark romance here, delivering a story that blends raw obsession, dangerous passion, and shocking twists into something you can’t look away from, even when it makes you uncomfortable.
Remi is the predator unhinged, commanding, and merciless. Aria is the prey, but far from helpless; her sass, fire, and refusal to completely bend to him spark some of the most addictive clashes in the book. The push-and-pull between them is relentless, with moments that make you want to hate him and scenes that somehow make you root for him anyway. It’s twisted, it’s intense, and it’s the darkest of dark.
The Story
After the chaos of Insatiable, Remi and Aria’s connection is even more volatile. Bound together by obsession, betrayal, and desire, they circle each other like enemies who can’t stop colliding. Every line between love and hate, predator and prey, pain and pleasure blurs as Aria pushes back against Remi’s control and Remi refuses to let her go. The result is a story packed with heat, danger, and shocking turns that keep you on edge the entire time.
What I Loved
✔️ The enemies-to-lovers dynamic that’s equal parts addictive and chaotic.
✔️ The way Winters makes you despise Remi one moment and root for him the next.
✔️ Aria’s fire and sass, which balance Remi’s darkness and make their clashes electrifying.
✔️ The nonstop twists and high stakes that kept me guessing.
✔️ The unapologetic dive into true dark romance territory.
🎧 Narration
The duet multicast narration is phenomenal. Oscar Reyes and Lacy Laurel return from book one, and the addition of Faith Clark as Aria. Oscar captures Remi’s unhinged, dangerous edge perfectly, while still leaving room for rare flickers of vulnerability. Faith Clark brings Aria’s sass, defiance, and fire to life in a way that makes every clash between them feel electric. Lacy Laurel ties everything together seamlessly, making this a fully immersive and cinematic listening experience. Honestly, the narration elevated the story tenfold I loved every moment of it.

Final Thoughts
Ravenous is not for the faint of heart. It’s raw, graphic, and darker than most romances on the market leaning into erotic horror as much as romance. While the story didn’t fully resonate with me personally, I respect the sheer intensity Winters poured into this book. If you’re craving a pitch-black, boundary-pushing romance with a morally corrupt antihero and an FMC who refuses to break easily, this duet is exactly that.
As with book one, Winters makes you despise the “bad guy” for 80% of the story and then somehow flips it so you find yourself rooting for him by the end. It’s disturbing, it’s gripping, and it’s unforgettable.
