When trust is shattered, the truth becomes the ultimate pressure point. Former CIA psychological warfare specialist Atlas Manning has faced countless enemies, but none as enigmatic as the woman he finds washed ashore on Lantern Beach after a violent storm. She has no memory, no identification—nothing except a head wound and combat skills that rival his own.

As a key operative for the elite Blackout security team, Atlas is assigned to watch her. Keep her close. Determine if she's a threat. But as he helps her piece together fragments of her past, unexpected feelings emerge—feelings that compromise everything he stands for.

The woman, who everyone calls Storm, remembers nothing . . . yet she somehow knows intricate details about barometric pressure bombs. When a series of precisely timed attacks coincide with an approaching hurricane, Atlas faces an impossible the woman he's falling for might be the enemy's most dangerous weapon.

With a hurricane approaching and memories flooding back, Storm herself must confront the most devastating question of what if she was sent to Lantern Beach to destroy the very man who saved her?

Christy Barritt is an author, freelance writer and speaker who lives in Virginia. She’s married to her Prince Charming, a man who thinks she’s hilarious—but only when she’s not trying to be. Christy’s a self-proclaimed klutz, an avid music lover who’s known for spontaneously bursting into song, and a road trip aficionado. She’s only won one contest in her life—and her prize was kissing a pig (okay, okay… actually she did win the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Suspense and Mystery also). Her current claim to fame is showing off her mother, who looks just like former First Lady Barbara Bush
When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and exploring small, unsuspecting towns where people have no idea how accident prone she is.

Pressure Point was an exciting read with a mystery, suspense, amnesia, and a hurricane. Blackout operative Atlas finds a woman along the side of the road, but she has no idea who she is or what happened. Is she friend or foe? As they try various ways for her to regain her memories, they encounter danger from bad guys. But can they stop the bad guys, or will the weather overcome them? Such a fast-paced, heart-pounding read.

I had a BETA copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Blackout operative Atlas Manning finds a woman along the road and discovers she has lost her memory and is injured so he takes her to the Blackout compound. Her memories start to return in fragments like puzzle pieces, but without offering any help as to her real identity. Atlas and Quinn try various methods to assist her memory, but keep finding themselves targets for gunmen in the process. As a storm approaches, they must figure out what is really going on before disaster strikes. Awesome book which will keep you turning the pages to discover the plot and who the bad guys really are.

Packed with danger and surprising turns, this suspense novel keeps you engaged and on edge. A woman with amnesia faces deadly threats while the man who rescued her tries to keep her safe despite misgivings about her past. Not only are there human attacks, a monster hurricane approaches with the power to wipe out everything. The story will grip you to the very end. The book could stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order. (In fact, read all the series set at Lantern Beach. They’re great, and its fun to see recurring characters.) I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

This was such a good book! Watching a woman with no memory struggle to piece together who she really is made for a gripping story. The fragments of her past that begin to surface aren’t exactly flattering, leaving both her and Atlas wondering—can she be trusted? Is Quinn friend or foe? And can they stop the destruction before it’s too late?

Barritt does what she does best—keeping readers on edge and constantly guessing. The action is fast-paced, the suspense intense, and the mystery of Quinn’s identity had me hooked until the very end.

Disclaimer: I did receive this book from the author but was under no obligation to provide a review. All opinions express her are my own.

This is a perfect book to read anytime but especially if it is a rainy day because, if you are like me, I couldn't put it down until I finished it!! This has it all - mystery, suspense, amnesia, complex characters, and even a monster hurricane!! There were twists and turns that I didn't see coming but worked perfectly in this action filled story. If you like action and suspense with great characters and a story that could possibly come from today's news, this book is for you!!! I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

Christy Barritt ain’t playing it safe with this new explosive series set in Lantern Beach! This new novel left me breathless and on an adrenaline rush that had me pondering the possibilities of a real life scenario.

What if unfriendlies could control the weather? Yeah, trust me, not good!

Let’s just say weather (see what I did there?)or not it could happen IRL, just the thought of it sent chills down my spine and my mind spinning. Don’t miss this one!

There’s a Storm Brewing

Yes, there’s a storm brewing off the coast of Lantern Beach and it’s more dangerous than anybody knows. Quinn shows up just before the storm, but is she friend or foe? Helper or assassin? Victim or infiltrator? Atlas and the Blackout team need to find out before she, potentially, destroys them all.
Bring an umbrella and a towel, pull up a chair and enjoy!

Pressure Point

This is definitely another great book from Christy Barritt! I recommend this for anyone who wants a good suspenseful book. This one incorporates current events into an adventure that could turn catastrophic. I love the lantern beach continuation with the characters we have loved from the other lantern beach series. Thanks for another book that I didn’t want to put down.

A strong foundation against any storm

That's what developed between Atlas and Quinn. Neither knew the strength or depth of the storm but could feel it coming, against all odds- amnesia, criminal acts, strange happening-something was growing between them. Lantern Beach is sound again and Blackout is still in business.
Barritt's books keep you on the edge and putting the pieces together make each one hard to put down.

Anxiously Awaiting Book 3

Riveting suspense with several surprise twists--I really enjoy
books where the bad guys hide in plain sight til the end, keeping the reader guessing.
Also love the character descriptions that made them so easy to visualize.
I found myself encouraging both MCs as they grapple with what to believe.
I will definitely get the next book on Aug. 31!

wow I despise liars

Especially when they are in a leadership roll + when you figure out they are trying to trick you into believing they are still the same person they have always been and still believe what you believe. Politics, religion, etc. if I was a violent person, I’d want to punch their lights out. Enjoy.

Pressure Point

This story cruised along at a good pace and had me wondering where it was going. I wasn't overly surprised by who was behind some of what was happening as it seemed right that Atlas had closure.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

A touchy subject…

…but oh, so true! The only Person that should control our weather is the One Who created it! People think themselves smarter than God. So sad. Great story with hard truth embedded in it. Read, enjoy, contemplate.

Amnesia problems

"Quinn" has lost her memory & doesn't know whether she is an assassin or a meteorologist. Atlas rescues her from those who wish her dead. Evil people are manipulating the weather to produce killer storms. She must stop them. Good story.
