A dragon Empress mourning a love lost. A vampire King with secrets older than time. When chaos rises from the Underworld, ancient enemies and fractured loyalties collide. To help end a war, she must face her second flame.
I thought book two was my favorite in the series but my goodness September ATEEEEE THIS up. You know how crazy ya pen gotta be to have me rooting for the literal DEVIL.
This was a great read and I am so happy about where the overall series is going! Knight gives us spice, magic and plot! I love how devoted the mates are, and how knight intertwined bits of African history, pop culture, and magical lore together to make the story grow. Additionally I enjoy the fact that the books are generous in page length which helps character and plot growth. I wish there wasn’t so many POVs, but that is a personal ick of mine.
Can’t wait to read the next book and see what happens next!
I absolutely loved Book 3! Honestly, I’ve been enjoying the entire series so far, and this installment took things to another level. The story was vivid and captivating. Every sentence, every scene, every emotion pulled me in completely.
The "Lust" scene had me cracking up, and when Dominick brought it up again at the meeting—LMAO! That moment was gold.
Thank you for the sneak peek of Book 4. I can't wait to see what happens next!
September Knight Xolani's Second Flame: A Vampire Shifter Romance (The Protector’s Claim Boo
Xolani faced a profound tragedy when her first love was taken from her, killed by someone she had mistakenly trusted as a friend. Left to raise their children while pregnant with another, she found herself in the challenging position of needing to be strong and resilient for her family. Despite her outward composure, each night she struggled with her internal anguish.
I wholeheartedly recommend the entire series. Having read both the second and third books, I found them to be exceptional. The author possesses remarkable talent, and I truly appreciate her work.
Which character resonated with you the most? NAVIR yearned for the chance to love again. Upon meeting Xolani, he recognized her as his destined mate. For the first time, he experienced a desire that transcended mere physical attraction; he wanted to understand her, to nurture her heart, and to support her healing from the tragic loss of her first love. The author beautifully provided Xolani with closure, skillfully connecting the characters from the first and second books. I am eager to explore more of the author’s work. This series is undeniably captivating and available for unlimited reading.
Book 3 in The Protectors Claim Series is about dragon Empress Zolani and her mate vampire King Navir. However, this book is more than just their mating story. Of the three books in the series so far this is the longest book. The author spends more time dealing with the conflict, than the romance.
With this book, September Knight expands the world of The Protectors and really opens up the series to more of a supernatural drama than a paranormal romance. Because of this change, this is the longest book so far in the series and the pace changes significantly. we not only get to see the protectors come together as a group. We also get to know Lucifer and his family more intimately. I’m interested in finding out where Miss Knight takes the story next.
Book three was "fire" talk about nonstop action, suspense, family, banter, romance and love you got it September world building is immense as her character building We see how envy, jealously, greed and delusions can destroy a person and everyone that stands in their way Xolani and Navir deserved the love they found with it other and it was beautiful even in the midst of the battles they fought I with the other protectors. Seeing them in action made the book more exciting if possible. If you are reading this series don't hesitate to read this book. Great job September, you are on fire in your writing and imagination. Can't wait for book four.
I LOVED this book! The Vampire King was different in previous books. In this book, he showed how Love can change and shape you to be a better person if you allow it to. Xolani was an Empress in every sense of the word. Her story was so touching, and their combined story was beautiful. I loved how you allowed us to hear both Lucifer & Bilal sides of the story, and of course, I ALWAYS appreciate the illustrations. Little things like that make September Knight stand out from other authors.
The love story and the part I will not ruin so I hope no one else does made me cry like a baby. Please people refrain from retelling the story fellow reviewers. Nothing more annoying. BUT I was not expecting a team of supernatural blexcellence whooping ass and taking names and souls! The movie that played in my head baybeee! Your visuals topped my imagination. You keep getting better and better September. Now on to my crush, Eliiijah.
You did your thing on this one sis🤏🏾💜🤏🏾💜 I loved how you intertwined Ginger’s Grizzlies with this one. How Xolani found love again after losing it. And how The Vampire King found love despite he never thought he would or even could. I would absolutely love to read of Elijah finally find his soulmate and Xavian work things out with his human mate as well as Nyema with Tivona(creole witch)….
This book was really good. Six hundred and something pages good, I don’t know 🤷🏾♀️ about that, but it was full of… romance 🥰 I know exactly how Xolani felt when she wanted to hold on to her former mate Duo. She lost him unexpectedly and felt like this was it. But the Mother had another mate in mind. The Vampire 🧛🏾♂️ king 👑 Although the vpk was ready to give it his all Xolani was like No!! But not one can run from the mate bond.
Xolani and Navir was beautifully written. Xolani the empress of the dragons, was just trying to push forward through grief and be strong for children and kingdom. But when Navir cross paths. No matter how hard she tried to ignore the Navir she couldn’t, she was drawn to the vampire king and so was he to her. I enjoyed the action in this story definitely kept you on your toes with so much going on. 10/10 🔥
Now this was a well-awaited journey and I must say I enjoyed the ride. This series is well written and the graphics was an added bonus that just gave clarity to The characters persona. I loved it, Now I will say Bilal did get on my damn nerve But he was hilarious While addressing Us as the reader. I look forward To the follow-ups, Kudos to the author well done
Great story lines and well written. I will read the series again to make sure I know how each character tie in to another. I can’t wait for the fourth of the series to be published.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat, also shows how one person thought they never find love while the other thought they never love again love this book looking forward to #4.
This read was moving the depth of each character the love the spice the lessons in grief and loss. I think this may have been my favorite in the series thus far. Navir and Xoalni’s love was truly timeless! I can’t wait to start book 4
I am enjoying this series. I liked the second chance romance with the dragoness and the Vampire King. So much potential for many stories. Keep them coming!
