The story continues right from where the previous one ended. And with how everything went wrong in the previous book, I was more than ready to see how Curse and Aurora’s relationship would develop.
Dangerous people are after Aurora and they’re willing to do everything to get her inheritance. And the only way she can save herself is to marry Curse for thirty days. But that’s not as easy as it sounds…
Aurora’s been through a lot. But I loved how much courage and resilience she showed when she had to face the dangers thrown her way. She’s truly a wonderful woman.
And Curse… Well, he’s as dangerous, relentless and fiercely protective as ever. That man will stop at nothing, will do everything, to protect his angel. He might be convinced he’s not the right man for her, but he’s definitely the right monster for Aurora.
Even more, the tension, the passion, the inner turmoils, the danger, the twists - every second of the story kept me on my toes and glued to the pages till the very end. Aurora and Curse went through a lot, in the past and in the present, but they were absolutely perfect for one another and, after everything, they more than deserved to find happiness and love together.
Overall, An Angel So Wingless is another fantastic addition to the series and the perfect conclusion of Curse and Aurora’s story.

The perfect ending to Aurora and Curse's story! Truly felt like both characters got the closure they've been seeking for decades, and Aurora is definitely one of my fave mafia romance FMC's. In classic Vero fashion, this story has the ideal balance of action, romance, spice, and unhinged-bat-shit-crazy-behaviour that I adore.
This is the last story in the Titans and Tyrants series, and I am not ready to let the Titone family go!! 😭 However, it was so nice to see them all get their own fucked up version of a "happy-ending". They are like my children and I love them all equally—but if I had to choose Valentina and Darragh do still reign number one in my heart. And, of course, you know I am sat for Severu's story 🙂↕️
I'd also like to note that my favourite running joke in this world is everyone constantly side-eyeing Elio and Deidre's "beginnings"... chefs kiss.
If you are a dark mafia romance baddie and you haven't picked up a Vero Heath book yet... let this be another reminder from me to do so. She's my number one in the genre! She also gets bonus points as not only is she Canadian, but she also sets her stories in Canada and I love to see it.

Ughhh, Curse stole my heart and I don’t want it back 😔😔😔
I honestly loved Aurora and Curse sooo much. I seriously don’t even know what to say about them, but this was genuinely one of the best stories I’ve ever read. I cried, laughed, and got shocked — the amount of emotions in this book was actually insane.
Waiting for it was definitely worth it 😭💖

Vero really is the Queen of Cliffhangers. This second book in Curse and Aurora's duet picks up exactly where the last one left off. So if you don't love a cliffhanger, this is the perfect time to pick up A Monster So Merciless and read straight through.
Curse and Aurora met as children in Italy. After a brief reconnection, Curse has kept an eye on her. When her arranged marriage doesn't go as planned, Curse comes to her rescue. They then make a deal, which I won't talk about and risk spoiling. I was not Curse's biggest fan in book 1, but he redeems himself in this conclusion. He will do ANYTHING for Aurora, and he backs that up with actions. He really became the MMC I knew he could be. I have loved Aurora throughout. And seriously, they go through some stuff!
Because this is Book 6 in the Titans and Tyrants series, it fits in with the rest of the books. You can read this duet separately, but the full series comes into play. The crazy machinations of the Mob/Mafia (they're both represented) are more fun when you read the full story arc.

We are at the sixth and final book in the Titans and Tyrants series!! This mafia series is so freaking good!!!! This is the end of Curse and Aurora’s story. These have to be read in order because we start right back from where we ended in the last book! Curse and Aurora are still planning to marry so the Titones can have her inheritance, and they’re avoiding anyone who could come find her from Buffalo. This one is super fast paced and I couldn’t put it down! These poor babies are put through the wringer, but always so so devoted to each other 😭😭😭 their ending was heartbreaking and beautiful!! I definitely cried. I love them!!! Sad this series is over, but also hell yeah to the next series being about Severu because I did fall in love with daddy in this book LOL
