This collection of poetry and trifles, uses the palette, extraordinary range, and ambiguity of the English language.
A series of poems, sonnets, and musings created in English but based on the French and Italian medieval poetry style.
A lyrical work shows a whole range of words, rhythm's and associations, that only exist in that particular language, producing word interplay and spaces for meanings not expected.
There are some utterly beautiful poems in this collection. However, it desperately needed some proofreading/editing. The vast majority of pages have 1-3 errors. 's being used as plural being the most common, such as leaf's instead of leaves and carol's instead of carols. A few mistakes may be unavoidable but there were so many it interfered with understanding and appreciating the poetry fully. Otherwise this would have been a 4.5 star read for me.
