This book is for the woman who always wants to get every thing right. The woman who has a high capacity and is always pushing and striving to do more, be more, and reach the next level because she feels like she can and should do it all. Author Kate Bartley shares her personal experience with all of the above and gives the reader permission to stop striving and pushing through and instead pause and rest allowing your body to catch up, release what it was holding on to, and restore and renew for the days, weeks, and years ahead! If you don’t accept the invitation to pause, rest, and rejuvenate, your body will force you to through disease, illness, or some sort of sickness or shutting down. Today’s the day to accept your self-worth and take control of the health of your whole body; mind, body, and soul. While you are taking back your life, pickup this book and walk with Kate as she opens your eyes to the opposite of what the world screams for women to always be achieving and instead allow yourself to take moments of pause and restoration and release what your body continues to hold onto. Then, you can live in the abundance and blessings that await for you that you have been missing living in a culture that celebrates hustle and grind and wonders why so many continue to burnout.

There are so many good things about this book, I don't even know where to start!

I love the way the author weaves her own story, professional knowledge, and application into each chapter. Her honesty and transparency are a breath of fresh air as she gives us permission to give up our eternal quest and drive to be "good girls."

For anyone who has ever struggled to be "good" enough, keep the peace, people please, and constantly carry the weight of other people's burdens, this book is for you.

You will walk away challenged, encouraged, and validated!

Reading "The Good Girl RX" had me nodding in agreement page after page, constantly thinking "that was me." Kate vulnerably shares her own struggles while stating hard truths about the "good girl" mindset, providing readers with both hope and a practical path forward. Her guidance empowers women to shed these constraints and confidently embrace the person God made them to be.

I resonated with so much in this book. Kate has written this as a great resource for women. I didn’t think this book was written for me, but I was so wrong.

All these years of living in my body, I finally have a better understanding of how being a good girl all my life has taken a toll on me emotionally and physically. In The Good Girl Rx, the author, Kate Bartley, discusses the weight of living as a good girl who suppresses her own emotions and denies her personal needs at the expense of her health and sanity.

Within the book’s pages, she covers topics such as: defining the good good syndrome, the hidden cost of praise and approval, when the good girl gets sick, understanding and healing the body’s trauma responses, unraveling anxiety, breaking free from self-sabotage, stepping into empowerment, and breaking free of the good girl syndrome. The end of each chapter includes helpful questions for reflection. The Good Girl Rx is a powerful tool in overcoming unhealthy coping patterns so you can live a healthy, balanced, and satisfied life.
