Shadow isn’t the type to mingle with people outside his world unless they owe him or the club something. But when his eyes land on a beautiful woman in need of a place to stay, he offers her shelter from the coming storm without a second thought.
Violet James needs a fresh start. She’s planned every detail—new job, new house, new city. But the one thing she didn’t expect was a hurricane to throw a wrench into everything. Stranded in a new city with no open hotel rooms for miles, she’s intrigued when a handsome biker offers her a safe place to stay.
Shadow never expected the woman to come with baggage in the form of an obsessive ex-boyfriend who will stop at nothing to get her back, including showing up at his club’s compound.
What starts off as a little fun to pass the time as a hurricane decimates the area around them turns into something deeper than either of them could’ve imagined. And Shadow will do anything to keep Violet safe, even if that means risking his life to save hers.
This book follows the story of Shadow, the VP of Hurricane Heat MC and Violet, the woman who ends up stuck in a storm with Shadow and his MC brothers. The books is full of steamy scenes and drama. I liked the characters and the story. I think Shadow is a great character and I loved how careful he was with Violet. I just wanted a little more action since it’s a mc book, but overall it’s great. For my liking a little too steamy, but since they were literally stuck inside the compound for days because of the storm I get that they didn’t had many choices for activities 🫣😅. So, if you are looking for a spicy book in the mc setting, this one is for you!
Chelle Bliss kicks off this new Hurricane Heat MC romance series in style with a story I couldn't put down. As Violet arrives in town looking for a fresh start, but she doesn't expect a hurricane, to be without a place to stay, or to encounter a hot biker who comes to her rescue by offering her shelter. However, what Violet doesn't realise is that the place he offers is a clubhouse filled with sex, drugs, and more hot bikers than she ever imagined. This environment leaves librarian Violet far outside her comfort zone, yet she oddly feels safe with Shadow, even though they’ve only known each other for a few hours.
But as they hide out in Shadow's room and share a bottle of bourbon, they get to know each other in ways neither could have imagined, and Shadow soon learns why Violet was out in the storm. And as the hurricane rages on, their feelings for each other grow, compelling them to give in to the chemistry between them. But just as the hurricane subsides, Violet's ex, Clive, reemerges, prompting Shadow and the MC to step up and protect her when it becomes evident that Clive won't take "no" for an answer.
And as someone who openly adores MC romance, I can confidently say I loved this story. As it was thrilling, spicy, and engaging. I appreciated how protective Shadow was of Violet from the moment he first saw her. His protectiveness also extended to the club and its members, making it clear that his life has revolved around the MC thus far. And I found Violet to be both sweet and strong; she knew exactly what she was getting into with Shadow, and he felt the same way about her. Their sizzling attraction really stood out; as opposites, they fit together perfectly. And with just the right amount of drama, sweet and spicy moments, and an ending that is simply a chef’s kiss, Shadows Protection was a fantastic read. I can’t wait to dive into Phantom’s story next!
My thanks to Chelle Bliss for the opportunity to read an early copy of Shadow's Protection. All thoughts expressed are my own. 😊
What woman wouldn’t want a sexy and handsome hero in her life? In the latest book from Chelle Bliss, “Shadow’s Protection” Violet was all alone on a rainy night with nowhere to go, when her dream man appeared out of nowhere, changing her life forever. Shadow was a loner, his MC brothers were his family and a woman on the back of his bike was a non-occurrence. He could tell Violet was scared, confused and at the end of her rope. She was desperate for a place to stay until the storm was over, so Shadow, being a man on a mission, invited her to his place where she would be safe. Shadow was shocked to admit that Violet looked at home at the clubhouse, and by his side. They couldn’t have been more different; an ex-con, member of a MC and a well-educated and independent-thinking librarian. Fate and luck had brought Shadow and Violet together and their passion and desire would keep them safe from the drama and danger that had finally caught up with them. Behind Shadow’s gruff exterior lay a sweet and tender man that catered to Violet when she needed him the most. He was concerned, though, that Violet would find him lacking in some way and that she would pack her bag and start her new life somewhere else. But on the other hand, what if Violet was really meant to be with him? What would be so wrong with starting her new life over with him?
WOW!!! This is the first book of Chelle's new series and wow she started it off with a bang. The couple in the book are Shadow and Violet. He is the VP of a MC club and she is a librarian. He is at a motel doing some club business with the owner when Violet walks in soaked from the hurricane and looking for a place to stay. There is no room so Shadow invites her innocently to the club for a safe place for the night. She goes but get an eye full when she gets there. Club party is going on and she is shocked to say the least. The storm doesn't let up so she stays longer and her and Shadow end up really getting to know each other after a question drinking game. lol Shadow also finds out she has a abusive ex and also finds out he has been tracking her. Let's just say the ex shows up and the compound and se regrets it. After she feels safe again she leave but neither of them want her to go. After a few weeks, Stella one of the clubs ladies questions him about Violet and he admits he misses her. He finally texts her and finds out she is sick. When he gets there to help her he also finds out some big news.. won't spoil it for you. Let's just say they got the well deserved HEA
I knew I was gonna love this MC. Shadow and Violet are opposites but we all know opposites attract. When Shadow rescues Violet from a hurricane they are both gone for each other. Their chemistry is off the charts. Shadow will do anything to protect Violet especially from her crazy ex. I’m so excited to get more of these characters.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Chelle Bliss has hit MC Romance Gold once more! Shadow's Protection is Book 1 of her New MC Romance Hurricane Heat.
Violet is off to start a need life after leaving her boyfriend that's toxic. She's excited to have a fresh start, unfortunately her fresh start is delayed due to an impending Tropical Storm headed straight towards her new start.
Shadow isn't known for his kindness, its thw opposite of what hes known for. However as he's on Club business at a low budget motel the Storm brewing blows in more that rain. Violet bursts into the motel and knocked him over harder that he Hurricane.
Shadow and Violet are polar opposites but the sweet shy librarian makes the tough biker weak in the knees. Their connection is magnetic and the emotions are off the charts. Being in close proximity, and waiting out a Hurricane brings them together and when her past comes after her, Shadow will do anything to keep her safe.
Chelle gives us an amazing new story that brought me to happy tears. The love story of Shadow and Violet is swoon-worthy. I can't wait to return to the Hurricane MC Club house and get more of the clubs members.
5 Star Review Shadow’s Protection (Hurricane Heat #1) by Chelle Bliss I was excited when I heard that Chelle Bliss had a new series releasing. If this book is anything to go by then she has a winning series in her hands. This is Violet James and Shadow’s story. These two could not be more opposite and yet they work. Shadow being the vice president of the Hurricane Heat MC is a man used to being in charge. However, Violet also has to deal with an ex who is obsessed with her. That is where Shadow. Ones I , he will do whatever is necessary to protect her. The chemistry is intense and I loved how their relationship progressed.
Book 1 in a series by Chelle Bliss. Let me just say this book is full of spice from the get go and I love it!
Just because there is a hurricane outside doesn't stop stop Shadow, VP of a MC, to collect the debt of a motel owner. While he is doing business, a female hustles in from the storm gaining his attention. Violet is ready to start over. Finding a new job in a new area is what she needed to get away from her crazy ex. What she didn't have planned was being stuck in a hurricane and seeking shelter at a motel. She catches the attention of Shadow while making her plee to the clerk to see if any rooms are available. Shadow offers her a deal. He can't ride in the hurricane and she has a car. She needs a place to stay and he has safe place for her to stay. What she didn't realize is that the safe place is a MC Compound.
Two different worlds collide together. What they didn't expect is mutual interest not only in each other but other parts of their lives. Shadow never thought of settling down, the MC is his life and family. But Violet is slowly starting to change his mind. Violet slowly learns that the MC life is much more than she thought. She sees so much more in Shadow than she expected.
When the hurricane finally comes and goes, can these two keep that storm alive? Or did the destruction of the storm cause bumps in the road?
These two were fire throughout this whole book. I loved having them truly learn about each other. The forced proximity working its magic. The first time scene was magic magic magic. Watching Violet grow in this book, learning the MC ways and making her own family. Shadow seeing that there is more for him out there.
Chelle Bliss has done it again with the first book in the Hurricane Heat MC series. This is a can’t put down fun action packed read. There is no way you don’t end the book without loving not just Shadow and Violet but the whole cast of characters that we now have listed in our notes to see who is next. There is no author I read that can write bikers like Chelle Bliss. I use to shy away from them just because I don’t lean towards romance that can be quite that dark. Chelle has a way of keeping them real life without rose colored glasses but still making you want them to find their HEA. That is not easy to do. If you haven’t read this yet you really need to.When it starts with a hurricane you know your are in for a great ride.
Shadow and Violet are opposites attract gold! These two meet during a hurricane but get swept up in each other.
Violet is completely stating over after leaving her abusive boyfriend. She was so strong and smart and kind. When she goes the the compound, she's totally out of her element, but she fits in. I loved her interactions with the club girls.
Shadow doesn't believe he can have a relationship but quickly falls for the sweet Violet. It takes him awhile to figure out what his feelings mean. I loved how he felt so protective of her and helps her with the ex situation. He has such a good heart that he hides beneath layers of muscle and tattoos. I'm so curious about his MC brothers!
This book was super spicy! These two just fit together and I love them so much! The ending is perfection with a little surprise.
Shadow is one amazing man. Violet is one strong amazing woman. She has some baggage. They meet when neither of them are looking for anything. Who meets there soul mate riding out a hurricane. Could not put this story down. Read it in 2 days. Can’t wait to read more

In this first book in the Hurricane Heat MC series, the relationship between Shadow and Violet is an exciting one. The old ‘opposites attract’ saying is very accurate.
As vice president for the Hurricane Heat MC, Shadow is no stranger to the darker side of life and excels at it. It’s lucky for Violet that she met him and he has the skills and backup required to handle the problem that follows her.
Shadow and Violet shouldn’t work but they do, and boy do they. Their chemistry is off-the-charts resulting in explosive passionate scenes. 🔥 With plenty of action-packed scenes as well, this book skyrocketed to 5 stars really quickly for me. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down.
I’m already looking forward to the second book in this new series.
This first book of this new series is one hot read with a side of action.
Shadow is collecting a debt that is owed to his motorcycle club when he runs into a desperate woman trying to escape a tropical storm. He takes her to his club's compound where sparks fly between the pair and feelings start to happen - especially the protective ones when her ex shows up and threatens her life. But when the storm is over can Shadow let her go??
Violet has just moved to Florida when the tropical storm hits, and she takes Shadow's kindness and shelter's the storm with him and his club. In between rounds of sex with Shadow and making friends with the women that are hanging around the club she tells him about her ex and how he has been stalking her. Once her ex has been taken care of and the storm passes, Violet does not want to leave Shadow but wants Shadow to ask her to stay since she is growing feelings for him.
This pair are a well written pair that had chemistry that was off the charts. Their story drew me in from page one and had me hooked waiting to see if this pair would get their lines of communication straight. Their story also reminded me of City and Suzy's story - good girl meets bad boy type read from the Men of Ink Series but Shadow and Violet's story was different in its own way.
Without ruining the story for the rest of readers, I will not divulge anything else and say that this was a great read that I enjoyed from start to finish. I would recommend this book to others.
What a way to start a new series that has you drawn in and wanting more. From the moment that we meet Shadow you know this man is a force to be reckoned with. As Shadow and Violet cross paths, it is not only the storm that rages outside bringing an intensity but the chemistry that lights up between them. Shadow doesn't do long term or any kind of relationship and he makes that perfectly clear from the start and Violet is not a one night stand kind of girl, however the draw to each other and the passion that flows between them is hard to ignore. These two certainly bring the heat and have your kindle steaming up at every chance they get. Let's just say there might be a scene involving a car that will have your engine running at max revs. There is danger, drama and chaos surrounding Violet which brings out the protective side to Shadow. A story that shows communication is the key to making sure everyone is on the same page. These two find that even though they are from opposite worlds, they actually fit together perfectly and just maybe a one night stand or should we say a few nightstands might just be forever after all. I might have also read the sneak peek to the next book and let's just say bring on more Hurricane Heat MC because I am in need of more of these guys.
I am ecstatic to see that Shadow's Protection is only book one. I get to drool over more members of the Hurrican Heat MC. I will experience more thrills and chills as a biker finds his babe. Shadow's Protection grabbed me for page one and left me needing more, more, more. Shadow has found a place in my heart as the perfect alpha male biker.
Shadow's Protection deserves all the stars. Five just isn't enough. Shadow's Protection deserves all the flames. The book smoking. Who knew a chance meeting in a hotel lobby would be the beginning of an amazing journey to love and a happily ever after.
Violet sought shelter from a hurricane at a dive motel. Staying in her car was not the way she wanted to experience her first hurricane. Shadow is at the motel on biker business, important biker business. He couldn't help but listen to her tell her story. As winds howl, he finds a solution that works for both of them. He can't ride his bike. She has a car. She needs a place to get out of the rain. He has a safe place to get her out of the storm. She didn't expect to end up at the Hurricane heat MC Compound.
I could never imagine what would happen. Thank goodness Chelle Bliss has such a creative mind and she shares it with her readers. The story is very dramatic. I loved the unexpected. I feared the unexpected. The character dynamics are very entertaining.
The women have their clashes. The bikers have their attitudes. Shadow and Violet set the pages on fire. Reading their sexcapades was so SCORCHING HOT. Their slow burn romance had me excited for the next page. The unexpected had me doing a happy dance.
I will not forget Shadow and Violet's story. It is so beautiful. It is so romantic. But it is so much more. I can't wait to visit with them again in book two.
A whole new series and characters from Chelle Bliss! “Shadow’s Protection” is a steamy, swoony and action packed forced proximity MC romance that was a great start to this new series.
Shadow is the VP of his MC and doesn’t like dealing with anyone outside of his club unless they owe them money. On the eve of a hurricane, he’s out collecting debts from a motel owner, he runs into Violet. Violet is moving to the area to start a new job and get away from her crazy ex. The storm is brewing and with nowhere to go, Shadow offers her a safe place at the MC compound. This is a whole new world for the quiet librarian and as the hurricane rages on, Shadow and Violet develop a chemistry and connection neither was expecting.
I love an MC romance and Chelle Bliss always writes stories that are engaging, thrilling and steamy. I loved how protective Shadow was of Violet from first meeting her when the storm was raging on. Shadow lives for his club and makes sure that it is always protected and thriving. I loved Violet from the beginning and how sweet she was. She needed a fresh start from leaving her crazy ex and Shadow is exactly what she needed. They didn’t hook up the first night but definitely had some fun with whiskey and getting to know each other. But once they gave into the attraction, it was sizzling hot. The two were complete opposites but they fit so perfectly together. I loved the added drama of her ex trying to get her to come running back to him and how Shadow and the MC stepped up to take care of her without hesitation. Their relationship was spicy and sweet. The ending was perfect and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Violet moves to a new city in hopes of a fresh start, but soon finds herself caught in a storm. Seeking shelter, she crosses paths with Shadow at a hotel where no rooms are available. Shadow offers her a place at his club’s compound, and from the moment Violet and Storm meet, sparks fly. Despite being so different from everyone around her, Violet fits right in, and her chemistry with Storm is undeniable. As they spend more time together, Storm uncovers the truth about what Violet is running from and he’s determined to protect her at all costs. Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh bring Storm and Violet to life beautifully. Lance captures Shadow’s tough exterior while revealing his tenderness for Violet, and Kirsten perfectly portrays Violet’s sweetness wrapped in cautious vulnerability. This story is both sweet and steamy, and perfect for fans of motorcycle club romances.
Shadow and Violet meet at a motel one night during a Hurricane. She is there to find a room to shelter from the storm and he is on business. Unlucky but maybe lucky for Violet there are no rooms at the motel but Shadow offers her to come to the compound and whether out the storm. She warily agrees but in the end she is glad she said yes. It’s definitely a whirl wind of lust at first but feelings sure to start to brew during the craziness of the hurricane. Once the hurricane passes and the roads clear it’s sadly time for Violet to leave and start a new chapter without an ex who doesn’t understand that it’s over. After she leaves they both realize they miss one another but Violet has something to tell Shadow. This book was sweet and spiced, the perfect combination.
I Love "Shadow's Protection". MC books are one of my top favorite reads, and I love it when the storyline is about the big, bad biker falling for the sweet, innocent girl. As soon as I read the blurb, I knew I would love this book, and I was not disappointed. It was so good!!! Shadow and Violet's first encounter is the perfect start to this romance, and it just gets better with each chapter. Their connection is captivating and passionate. I think this is one of the hottest books I've ever read by Chelle Bliss. Very Spicy! The story is fantastic.. The characters are intriguing and I'm so looking forward to getting lost in the future books in the Hurricane Heat MC series.
Shadow is the perfect beginning to this series!!! Of course, he’s is a beautiful physical specimen, but there is soooooo much more to him than pleases the eye! Violet gets stranded in a tropical storm, and stumbles in on Shadow trying to collect a debt owed to his MC. Innocent Violet is oblivious to what’s going on, but can sense this gorgeous, leather vested man is trouble. But when he offers her a safe place to weather the storm in exchange for a ride to that place, she takes him up on it. She arrives at the MC compound, and embarks on a sexy journey that will change her life.
This is a wonderful Insta lust story that will have you swooning and smiling from page one and fanning yourself over and over starting in chapter 4. Hold on tight! Shadow is worth the ride!!
This was a great beginning to a new MC series. Violet is stranded in a hurricane and Shadow rescues her by offering shelter at the MC clubhouse. As they both wait out the storm, they begin to get to know each other. But Shadow doesn’t feel he is worthy to be with a girl like Violet. He takes over protecting her from her crazy ex. Can they take a chance on each other? Can Violet fit in with his MC family? This book holds some steamy scenes and these two connect on a deeper level. Looking forward to the next book
I haven’t really dabbled much in MC romance but I was really into this book and its characters. I haven’t read nearly as much as I like this year but Violet and Shadow’s story had me wanting to read it all in one sitting, but life happens. I’m really looking forward to the next however many books Chelle decides to give us in this series.
This is the first book in the Hurricane Heat MC series. If this book is anything to go by, the series is going to be EPIC! I loved everything about this story. Chelle Bliss has really done an amazing job weaving together a story I could not put down. Violet and Shadow meet when Violet is seeking shelter from a hurricane. Shadow surprises even himself when he offers her a place to stay. Shadow is not the kind of man to settle down at all. He is all about his MC and his brothers...period. Violet reluctantly agrees as she doesn't see any other options. When they get to the compound, she is taken aback by everything she sees. She is so far out of her comfort zone, it's not even funny. Shadow just wants to make sure Violet is safe from the storm. That changes in a hurry when he discovered they are wildly attracted to each other. They take full advantage of their mutual interest, too. When the storm is over and they part ways, will Shadow and Violet admit they have strong feelings for each other? Get this book and find out what happens next. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers.
This was a steamy and delicious listen from Chelle Bliss, narrated in dual by Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield. It’s a fast and dangerous motorcycle club romance with some insta-love, found family, and plenty of spice.
Violet is on her way to start a life on her own after she broke off her engagement, and gets caught in a hurricane. She stops in for a stay at a hotel and runs into Shadow, who is there on some club business of his own. Shadow immediately wants to take Violet under protection from the storm. He starts to uncover some of Violet’s secrets and they find themselves immediately connecting with insatiable chemistry.
Kirsten Leigh is Violet and her performance is brilliant. She is an independent woman with heart and smarts — she isn’t naive or meek and I appreciate this in the writing and the performance. Lance portrays Shadow, and I loved his performance. It’s gritty, dark, and captivating. His energy is all-consuming and larger than life; just the way I’d picture Shadow in the club and as a romantic partner for Violet. Both of these characters see the good in each other. And the spice? These two are off the charts.
This is book one of the Hurricane Heat series, and I will definitely be continuing onto book two when it’s available. Thank you, Chelle Bliss, for the ALC opportunity!
I really enjoyed Shadow and Violet's story. These two people were so different but fit together so well. Violet was trying to start a new life but then got stuck in a hurricane and needed a place to stay. Shadow happened to be at the motel she went into handling some MC business. Since the motel didn't have any vacancies, Shadow offered to give her a place to stay.
From the moment Shadow met Violet, he knew there was something different about her. As they spent time together, feelings began to grow between them. But they knew they didn't really seem like they should belong together. But the heart wants what it wants, and sometimes it's just too hard to deny it.
I loved how protective Shadow was over Violet. He was willing to do anything for her and to be with her. Violet was a strong woman, and I loved how she fit in with the girls at the MC compound, even though she was so different from them.
This is a really good story. I’d gone abit flat on MC books for a while but this was like a breath of fresh air. It’s got good honest characters that are exactly what they say they are and really enjoyable to read. I was invested very quickly in Violets story. She’s super sweet, a little naive but an absolute firecracker when she lets loose. Shadow was everything you want in an MC alpha male. Big, strong, dirty mouthed and top notch in the sack. That had electrifying chemistry, the heat level couldn’t get any higher.
The story develops quickly and kept me glued to the page. Loved all the other characters and the ladies were a lot of fun. It was definitely a big culture shock for Violet but she embraces it all quickly and fits right in.
Fabulous start to this new series and I look forward to the next book.
Violet and Shadow come from opposite worlds, but the sexual chemistry that sparks between them they cannot ignore. Their attraction to each other is off the chart!
These two main characters are well defined, interesting, and have their own unique qualities. Shadow is a sexy, ruthless and brave, while violet is beautiful with spunk, courage, sass, and fights for herself.
To see how Violet and Shadow manage to weave their way through all of this and come together you will have to read the book. It's a delightful story and you will not want to miss it!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Shadow's Protection, the first release from author Chelle Blisse's new Hurricaine Heat MC series, starts readers off with a category 5 level romance. Shadow (Johnny) and Violet come from different worlds and have off the charts chemistry in this fast-moving love story. And just as clouds part after a storm, their pasts come out of the dark and into the light. If you're in need of a read with drama, longing, humor, surpris, s and loads of smexy times, look no further. After all, who doesn't love it when a biker and a librarian get together?
I received a copy from the author, and this is my voluntary review.
