Duo-logy from The Heartbreak Club. The story continues with revelations of members from THC and King's revelation mean exposure of the club which makes the King to take the extreme step of killing one of the characters and putting an end to the investigation. I had the guessing on this character from the second half of this book but what made this character become King made me sad. This thriller was a good and light read. Felt this book a bit slower than the first one. Never mind, good story is what matters. Cheers!
To be frank, I have chosen the first version of this book randomly, and I enjoyed it completely. When the book ended with a twist and to be continued, I was waiting for the next one eagerly, and here I am to share the review.
The book continued with Kisha’s way of finding the members of the heartbroken club and solving the mystery of her sister Anara’s disappearance. As Kisha’s exchange program at Fairmount School is about to end, she was left with the identity of one member alone with no clue.
On the other end, Pallavi (investigation officer) informed the school authority that they found the dead bodies of two students who went missing. Kisha and her parents were completely devastated by the loss, and this made them dig deeper and find the killer.
The confession from Tavish and the return of students from the exchange program made them move closer to the King of the Heart broken Club. The sudden arrival of Queen in the club leads to confusing Kisha. Learning about Anara's dark secret and her bond with Tavish left her speechless. When Kisha herself was trapped in the black handshake by Daksh. Pallavi's master plan to track the club group is quite interesting.
Were Pallavi and Kisha able to solve the case and find the murderer? Was the identity of the king revealed or not? Is the rest of the story.
Obsession can lead to an evil outcome. Sometimes petty reasons can take away lives!
Book Review: No Time to Blink by Novoneel Chakraborty As someone who’s been a fan of Novoneel Chakraborty since I was 18, diving back into his world with No Time to Blink, the sequel to The Heartbreak Club, felt nostalgic. I’ve always admired his ability to craft layered narratives with unexpected twists—but this book didn’t quite live up to that legacy. While the message the author intended to convey is strong and relevant—kudos to him for that—the execution left much to be desired. The character development felt shallow, the romance lacked emotional depth, and the scenes meant to evoke jealousy or passion came off as unconvincing. Even the planned dates in the story, which could’ve added charm, felt forced and underwhelming. The narrative spirals in a way that promises intrigue, but by the middle of the book, I found myself disengaged. The plot is weighed down by unnecessary details and characters that don’t contribute meaningfully. Worst of all, the ending was far too predictable—unlike Chakraborty’s earlier works, where the surprises truly shocked and thrilled. No Time to Blink had a compelling start, but it quickly lost its spark. I give it a 3.5/10. It’s a read you might pick up for closure if you’ve read the prequel, but don’t expect the brilliance of his earlier novels.
I actually loved the book till 50% I was genuinely hooked and wanted to know more but from chapter 11 things slowed down and when I got to the last chapter the twist actually didn't hit that much I expected more like a good twist but that didn't happen at all There were too many grammatical mistakes which i wasn't able to ignore even if I wanted to The writing felt poor in the last few chapters, felt rushed
and can we please talk about kisha and tavish's relationship? like honestly it was so easy and such a lame reason to get back to each other , there could be a better reason after all
I have loved the show and I am waiting for season 2 because I know the book and the show has different writing and ending maybe let's see
I would love to explore the author's other work as well
⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 3/5 Stars No Time to Blink was a quick and easy read, but it didn’t fully deliver the suspense I usually expect from this author. Very early on, probably within the first 10 pages, I guessed that Suriya was the King. He was the only character who hadn’t been given any significant arc or focus, which made the reveal feel quite predictable when the climax arrived. At the same time, the heavy suspicion placed on Tavish throughout the story almost guaranteed that he wasn’t the one. The misdirection felt a little too obvious, which reduced the impact of the final reveal for me. I usually love Novoneel Chakraborty’s books because they keep me completely hooked with their twists and tension. Unfortunately, this particular series felt a bit mid for me compared to his other works. Overall, still a decent and fast read, but not one of his strongest in my opinion.

overall, the suspect and twist kept me hooked. I could not put the book down. At some point, I did find who it was, but still, the plot kept me to complete the book.
The way the story unfolded kept me on the edge through most chapters. But when it came to the ending, I was hoping for more - something that would make me go, ‘Wow, I never saw that coming.
This story starts with a student named Anara who went missing and is now nowhere to be found. Her sister, who had been in London on an exchange program for a few days, wants to investigate the reason behind her sister's disappearance. She finds out about the Heartbreak Club and tries to join it to learn more about it and clear her suspense about missing Anara. The story unfolds with an unexpected twist, and the ending is unexpected. Read these books if you like to read suspense thrillers.
This is a sequel and both books are one go read. I would rate it 5 stars. I enjoyed reading this book. I waited for the second instalment of this sequel but it was worth waiting.
This book was dark, gripping, and emotionally intense. Novoneel Chakraborty perfectly blends mystery, heartbreak, and suspense in a way that kept me hooked from start to finish. Kisha’s journey is raw and powerful—I felt her grief, anger, and strength on every page. It’s not just a thriller; it’s about love, betrayal, and the choices that can change everything. The writing is sharp, the atmosphere is haunting, and the story leaves you unsettled in the best way. A solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me.
