While Jade Winters has been putting words together since she was a child, it wasn’t until 2010 that she became a serious writer. Today, as a full-time author, she has published four novels in the lesbian fiction genre as well as several short stories. Jade was born and educated in London where she studied journalism for three years at a London University. She is the youngest of 6 children born to a Nigerian father and English mother and blames her love of spicy food on her African heritage. Jade now makes her home in Dorset in the South of England with her partner and furry companions Zorro, Buttons and Zeus.
Because Kemineeded too know what's love is instead of random hook up with people she did like and maddie and Laura deserve too be happy too and Choleis so jealous of kemibecause evaisattracted too kemifrom the beginning andcholeis trying too keep them apart saying friends don't hit on friend girlfriend but she and evawasnot together she taught she and stole can be friends but she didn't want that she is just too clingy since Florence dump her she had a job offer just in Japan and she left her telling her she need to not be so hard on her life she need too take a step back and try too not too be clingy too any body because she is a beautiful women and get anything she wants she have a company she build from the ground up and have people working for her and she have amazing friend she hang out with.
When reading the last chapter, based on the last sentence, I awaited the final confrontation between Chloe and Kemi. When turning the page, realized that was the ending.
Felt cheated. Did Mick finally killed himself? We're there a physical confrontation between Eva and Chloe. Not even a small cat fight. Jeezz.
Which finally means let's assume. Chloe got the message of being a bitch and Mike shot himself. Maybe he hung himself, wait, studies show man prefer guns.
I don't so much mind the cliffhanger at the very end of the book, because I feel that the author may have meant for us to come up with the ending in our own minds. That is not an inappropriate expectation (and even gift), although some readers may disagree.
But I do mind (a lot!) the cliffhanger regarding Mike. Aybe the publisher accidentally left out a big part of the book.
I'll continue reading Jade Winters' work, because it is usually top notch and very enjoyable. This book was not) and, actually, not.kust because of the cliffhanger.
The journey continues for this group of friends in Torn. As the title suggests, the story revolves around being torn. Torn between loyalty and love, friendship or needs, desires and fear, lust or heartbreak, strength and courage. Jade Winters did an amazing job in continuing where we left off in book one, and again i am left craving another installment!!
The foursome are off for a camping weekend with a group of Lesbians. Chole is disintegrating and spiralling into alcohol. Maddie and Laura are beginning to show their feelings for each other. And Kemi is realising that Chole is not really a reliable friend. Forces are gathering a storm of turmoil. Great number two in the series.
