⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Deliciously dark, fast, and filthy
Okay, Mila Quinn did not come to play with Twisted Passion—this short, spicy bombshell hit me like a freight train of morally gray obsession, and I loved every messy, possessive second of it. 😈
So here I am, thinking I’ll just peek at a few pages before bed… and suddenly it’s 2 a.m. and I’m clutching my Kindle like, “Yes, Adrien, please ruin me next.” Is this healthy? Absolutely not. Was it exactly the twisted escape I needed? Oh, hell yes.
Let’s talk about Elena. This poor girl gets straight-up offered as a debt payment—like she’s just another signature on daddy’s political failure. And Adrien? Oof. Cold, calculating, dangerous as hell... and he has wanted her. The second he “acquires” her, it’s game over. The power play? The forced proximity? The “you’re mine now whether you like it or not” vibes? Yeah. It’s intense. And I was glued to every line.
This isn’t hearts-and-flowers romance—this is DARK. Like:
🖤 “I’ll punish you for trying to run” dark
🖤 “I crave you but you’ll bend to me first” dark
🖤 “I’ll kill anyone who even thinks of taking you” dark
And it works because Adrien is that perfectly drawn villain-hero—icy and in control, but with that savage edge of obsession that just simmers under the surface until he snaps. And when he does? Whew. 🔥
Despite the madness, there’s this undeniable chemistry between them that’s explosive and messy and oddly addictive. She fights him, she tempts him, and then—BOOM—she starts to unravel, and he devours every piece. It’s wrong, it’s hot, and it made me want more of this twisted little world Mila Quinn created.

Adrien and Elena—Choices to be Made

I wanted something super quick to read so I chose “Twisted Passion” by Mila Quinn. This is deemed a dark romance, however there really wasn’t much darkness on the pages. This short story stars Elena and Adrien. Since Elena broke up with him, Adrien will do anything to get her back including blackmail. Elena is a broken record, their relationship didn’t work the first time, she didn’t like the danger in his word, she didn’t like being forced to stay, she wanted to leave. When Elena starts spouting off, Adrien turns to kinky sex, hoping to remind Elena how erotically hot their intimacy was in the past and would be in the future. No character development, we don’t know much about these characters because this story is just too darn short. This story is told through Elena’s and Adrien’s points of view. Elena has a choice to make, will she stay or will she leave consumes her thoughts. Adrien wants Elena to stay with him permanently, this consumes his thoughts. The story contains a lot of sex—hot, steamy, passionate, kinky, and erotic sex. Forty five pages of material is definitely not worth the price being charged. The story lacks depth and memorable characters. I felt let down when all was said and done and glad at the same time because this was a review copy and I hadn’t spent any money on it.

The chemistry between the main characters crackles with tension—part battle, part undeniable pull—and it’s impossible not to root for them, even as they navigate betrayal, secrets, and the fallout from the FMC’s father’s criminal past.

It’s intense, fast-paced, and steamy, with just enough emotional depth to keep you hooked. Perfect for readers who love their romance with edge, grit, and a little danger on the side. A great pick when you want a short but satisfying escape.

Elena and Adrien’s story never rang true for me. It’s supposed to be a billionaire bad guy buys the woman he loves from her father as repayment of the 100’s of millions the father owes him. We never see Adrien being “bad”, there’s talk of guns and “deals” in the past, no specifics and nothing currently on page. There’s no adversity. Then Elena’s father pays the debt. Yes, this was only a few weeks , and there was a fair amount of hot sex but nothing twisted or dark. So 3✨’s for okay sex but no literary passion. I normally adore Mila Quinn books, but this one just didn’t trip my trigger.

Twisted Passion by Mila Quinn was a super spicy, super short ARC read for me. It definitely lives up to the “short spicy read” label—so short, in fact, that it felt like just a slice of a bigger story. I would’ve loved more background, character development, and emotional connection. Adrien clearly fell hard for Elena, but I didn’t feel the same depth from her side—it was more about the physical than the emotional. Still, it was an enjoyable in-between read with serious heat. I just wanted more of everything.

D@mn him, he’s right.” Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Elena had walked away from Adrien years ago because she could not accept the violence or any of it really, the whole way of his chosen mafia lifestyle. But during this time, he had built up his empire exactly the way he wants it, and the only thing missing is her. He has a cunning plan, though, never fear. Leverage. Good mafia read with forced proximity and renewed spice.

The book I’m reviewing today is titled, Twisted Passion which is the first installment of The Short Spicy Reads Book Series written by Mila Quinn. This was a good short story. Very steamy right from the start. Elena and Adrian were amazing together. The chemistry between them was intense. They just can't stay away from each other. As soon as I started reading this story I couldn't put it down until I finished it.

Debt Collection

Heartpounding from an emotional perspective, this story was full of intrigue and spice. Adrien and Elena clash from the start, but their growing chemistry was explosive. The circumstances of their union were unfortunate yet added to an already fun filled plot. It was suspenseful and entertaining. This was a great read!.

Steamy mafia romance

A short steamy mafia romance. Full of action, steam, danger, forced proximity and passion.

Elena had left Adrien before when she realised how dangerous he was but when her father's drowning in debt to him, Adrien asks for her as payment. His love for her never died and he'll do anything to get her back, he just needs her to realise it's what she wants as well.

Usually, this author's books while short have a decent plot. I'm not sure on this one. It seems the plot was an afterthought. Adrien and Elena had been together before, and her father borrowed from Adrien & couldn't repay so he basically guilted her into going to Adrien. The relationship didn't develop much.
