I’m the pack’s outcast. And I’ve been chosen to breed the Alpha’s baby…
I’m a lowly, unworthy human. He’s the Alpha wolf who bullied me when I loved him.
The wolves are in danger of extinction. That’s where Operation Human Mating comes in.
I’m the first human chosen to breed babies…as the Alpha’s forced mate.

I’m the lowest in the hierarchy, bullied and ridiculed by my pack of blood thirsty wolves.
He was my brother’s best friend. I had psychic visions about him as my mate. But he rejected me.
Now he has to mate with a weak human with dormant magic to save his pack.
And that mate is the despicable human he used to bully obsessively—me.

We were matched on the basis of “extraordinary genetic compatibility”, whatever that means.
But nobody knows the deep wounds that he caused deep inside my body.
The wounds that only his caresses can stroke and heal gently.
The wounds that only his cold Alpha touch can rip open and stop from bleeding.

Will my cold Alpha claim his little family?

The Alphas of Honeycomb Valley are matched with a human mate to breed their babies and save their packs from extinction. The chosen couples are expected to begin the mating ritual as soon as the match has been made. Zero choice involved…

DNF at 16%

I'm pretty sure this book is AI-generated. There's just something off about the writing, flow, and grammar, and I can't find anything real about the author online. I dnf'd as soon as I realized and will not be continuing this series.

2.5 I thought it had a good concept. The first half was interesting, the second half, not so much. (Possible spoilers ahead)
ETA- I read all 4 books in this series. The last book ends on a cliffhanger and there is no sign of a book 5 yet. I’ll put my summary about all 4 books at the end of this review.

This was definitely not a bully book. H may have been a bully; we just didn’t see it. When we meet H, he seems pretty nice and very much a green flag. 🤷‍♀️ We are told he bullied h. We are never told how he bullied h. We are told he rejected her. Well, how? Rejected means something different in shifter books.

My biggest issue with the book is we never really get any answers for anything. I’m almost finished with the second book in this series- and we still have not received any answers. 😩 Makes me want to DNF because now I doubt we will get any answers in the last 2 books.

Also…there is a virus/darkness going around. Some people are being killed. The MCs just seem so unbothered, because they are living their lives, going on picnics. There’s no urgency with anything.
I’d love some type of explanation on h’s magical powers.
h gets pregnant in this book. By the second one, she’s already had the baby. Literally, all we find out it was a girl. That’s it.

I feel like this could be an amazing series if the author could tighten some of the plot lines up, expand on some of the important plots, and get an editor to help with the grammar/spelling issues.

I spent a lot of time in my own head rewriting this book. 🫣 I could definitely see the potential.

I really can’t think of these guys as “Alphas” 😜 Seriously, they mostly sound like mayors of a small town. They maybe shift once a book. 🤷‍♀️
—————-

ETA- after reading all 4 books, my opinion doesn’t change much. You do find out about the darkness, but that’s about it.
The darkness is a man who lost his 5 yr old son. That 5 year old went to alpha training with all the H’s in this series. A dam broke, and all the H’s survived, but darkness’ son did not. All the kids were about 5. Darkness wanted the counsel to do something, but what they did was wipe everybody’s mind of the event. 😡

The darkness’ powers grow during the series. By the time you get to book 4, he can possess people’s bodies. It ends on a cliffhanger and since there is still 1 (or 2) alpha men who are not married yet, I would assume there are plans for more books. 🤷‍♀️

This was a pretty middle of the road shifter romance. It probably got an extra star because the heroine didn't make me want to tear my hair out. This was kind of weirdly named, because the H doesn't really bully her at all as far as we can see. What actual part Jay (The H) played in bullying her seems kind of nebulous and changes as the book goes on. At the beginning, he simply rejected her when she confessed and stood by while others bullied her. Then apparently there were these friends of his that bullied her, but then she said something to them along the lines of "You guys weren't as bad as Jay." which is horribly confusing. In the end, it's hard to say who or how anyone bullied her but apparently they did 🤷🏼‍♀️ There were a number of typos, misused words, and on occasion the H's named would be used when it was meant to be the heroine. Maybe it was hard because they both had male names? IDK, but it made for a few confusing passages. Ultimately, it was an enjoyable read, but it hardly can be classed as a standalone as NONE of the issues in the book are resolved in the end. None of them! I guess the only thing that was resolved is they said "I love you" to each other, but this was hardly revolutionary. We still don't know who attacked her and the rest of the shifters, we don't know what's causing the virus, we don't know if H's parents ever made amends, we don't know what the deal with Joshua was or if he was significant in any way, we don't really know how her magic was released or how to use it, we don't know if she lost her visions, we don't even know if she had the baby safely or what it was....Jesus, I don't think a single question was answered in the end! 3 stars? Am I sure about that? I mean, honestly it was a pleasant read, but I have no desire to read the next book and it's a shame that even if we get answers in subsequent books, it wouldn't be from these characters PoV. I felt like a lot more needed to be resolved, but it was done in such a way where I really just don't have any desire to move on to the next book, I'm fine just not knowing. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Bully it is not!

Sweet story. No bully angst, not a rejected mate story. He just wasn’t interested in her as teens (she’s a lowly human but her brother and dad are alphas, this wasn’t explained why though!) They were paired as adults by the ‘council’ and married. He was really happy to see her walk down the aisle to him. A main storyline it seems was set up for the series something about a virus and bad man made it. Anyway this was a sweet little romance. It needs better editing…

Too many errors

The story is good. However, this book needs serious editing. There are so many errors, both spelling and grammatical, that at times they made it difficult to read and understand what was going on.

Wolf shifter romance

A slow build shifter romance with sweet chemistry between the main characters, magic, light humor, friendship, love, some good twists and a great HEA.

A great start to the Honeycomb Valley Alphas series. With a virus stopping the wolves from getting pregnant the council have informed the alphas of the packs that they will be matched with someone by science, who will be their mate. Jay accepts this as you can't argue with the council, but he's shocked to find he's been matched with his best friend's human sister.

Sam had admitted her crush for Jay years ago but he'd been her biggest bully and rejected her feelings. When she finds she's to be his wife she's cross that she can't do anything about it, but as she spends time with him she finds he might have changed and when feelings start to grow between them they start to make discoveries.

A lovely sweet romance with wonderful chemistry between Jay and Sam. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to the next in the series.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good story. Lots of typos.

This would have been a 4-star rating, but must instead be a 3-star rating. There are so many typos. Sooooo maaaannnyyy! Also, there are constant spelling errors and misused words. Example: Smelt for smelled. Example: Ridged when meaning rigid. And don’t get me started on punctuation.

Despite all that, it’s a good story. Not great or powerful, but good. Solid characters, plot, etc.

It seems bizarre to me to publish a book that was never Spellchecked and to see it become the flawed finished product, but that’s what happened here.

I liked the story. I did not like all the errors. They became jarring land mines shaking me out of the story to figure out what a sentence/word was actually expressing (what the author likely intended to write), then returning to the story only to be jarred again.

The story was sweet and sexy.

Brilliant Series

Her Bully Alpha (Honeycomb Valley Alphas Book 1) by Blue Thorne. The female wolf shifters are all dying from a virus that renders them barren then kills them. The wolf council picks a human to mate with the alphas to save the packs. First is Jay who has been paired with Sam, the human sister of one of the other alphas. The wolf shifters had been brought up to think of humans as vastly inferior to wolf shifters. Can Jay and Sam get past that to produce children?

A fantastic first wolf shifter book by Blue Thorne in the Honeycomb Valley Alphas series. I really enjoyed reading this book. The main characters Jay and Sam were very well developed with a strong chemistry. They were engaging and fun to get to know. Blue Thorne has a brilliant touch weaving beauty and magic in his world building throughout his story! A definite must read! I can't wait to read the next book!

The premise was interesting...

However, I only made it 27% of the way through before little mistakes got to be too distracting. Using the wrong character's name, mixing up details that were stressed in a previous chapter... on top of the somewhat stilted language, I couldn't read any further. Some more editing would probably make this a worthwhile book because the synopsis of the plot definitely hooked my attention.

editing required

Lovely story and interesting character development. Some random scenes that conclude a bit unsatisfactorily but otherwise a novel premise. But please please please can the editor return to their desk and do a proper job. So many tense, noun and verb use corrections required. Incorrect names used etc. Too many to gloss over so they spoil the flow of the story.

Interesting

This story is clearly an ongoing story that will expose a solution in future books in this series. It is a little different read than most. The characters are interesting and the romance is red hot.
