This is the latest Shell House Detective novel. It's slightly more complicated than the others, in that Ally Bright and Jayden Weston find themselves struggling to get the truth out of theis 'suspects'. Why was a man killed at the High Tide Hotel? Was it linked to the death of a young local man there over thirty years ago? All those being questioned have their own reasons for being less than honest when being spoken to, And they all have their own version of the truth. Meanwhile, Jayden and Cat now have a baby son, Benji, a younger brother for their daughter Jazz. Life is a bit more complicated, but they muddle through together. Also, Ally's rediscovered friend, Ray, living in Sussex, invites her to stay with him for a few days, which she does. But There's still Gus, her neighbour, who still thinks a lot of Ally. Will she choose between them, or will Ally keep the two men as 'friends'?
