Just when Story thought she was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, darkness peaks its head around the corner and swallows her whole, leaving her wondering if she will ever catch a break. On the day that was supposed to be the start of a new beginning, Story finds herself trapped in a fight for survival and trust. When the one person that she trusts with her entire life betrays her, she realizes that she has to find strength in the one person she never believed herself. Fueled by the desire to rewrite her story, Story takes a stand, determined to fight back against the darkness that once consumed her. Mercy is crushed by Story’s sudden disappearance, vowing to stop at nothing to make sure he gets his other half back, but will he be too late? Can he save the scorned woman from the dangers that lurk in the shadows, or will her problems be too much for him to carry? One party sets off a chain of events where every choice could cost them everything. For Mercy, it’s a race against time and his own heart. What starts off as an innocent celebration quickly spirals into a whirlwind of chaos, forcing two lovers to address their deepest fears and darkest secrets. Can love save this group of friends or is the betrayal too deep to forgive? Has love already run its course? In this raw and gripping tale of love and adversity where the streets are unforgiving and your word is all you have, will love withstand the storm or will loyalty be tested beyond repair?
This was a beautiful and emotional series! Everyone doesn’t deserve to be parents! Love is a beautiful thing when pure and real!
Before I get into it the only thing I wish was discussed or elaborated more was Story connection and reaction when she seen her father or knew he was home.
Story: my girl was working the nerves- lol! Like I get that she’s been through some things but why push away a man that love everything about you, the good, the bad and the ugly! Now don’t get me wrong Mercy did try to play in her face and should’ve been honest but after he did what he did to make sure she was safe should’ve let her know he was standing 10 toes down for her! Story went through things that NO woman or girl should ever go through especially by those that were to protect and love her! But that best friend Skyy never told her wrong! She called Story out and told her the hard truth regardless of how it comes off! Our girl has a support system like no other, she just needed to see and accept it! One thing for sure, you’re your worst enemy & critic - she finally realized it, put it behind her and accepted the love her man has to offer!
Skyy, not too much on her except she was lost and confused herself. One thing for sure she was a dang good friend, but the sad thing is she didn’t take her own advice. However, when all said and done she got that man -Loso!
Mercy: my guy here! He played no games when it comes to Story! He handled and addressed all threats when it comes to her! But what he wasn’t going to do was argue with her about how he felt! If he has to love her from a distance he would, but not too far! My question is where the men at like him-lol. Mercy wanted nothing but the best for her and made sure she got it. Let me just say I loved everything about him and his energy! My guy only disappointed me when he allowed his uncle to punk him to do my girl the way he did and that he didn’t communicate with her especially knowing what she’s been through. But he got it together -lol
Both Story & Mercy when through things growing up. The only difference was how each of them dealt with it. Both of there mothers didn’t do what should’ve been done to protect them but they found love within each other and was determined to break the generational curse when it come to their children! Truly enjoyed this series and look forward to what the author brings next!
This series had me from book 1 to the finale, I just wish there was a follow up about the other characters, and the babies. I related to Story's life in so many ways certain parts had me wiping tears. The love that she and Mercy shared was indeed blessed from heaven; understanding that she was surrounded by real true love but unable to recognize it played a major part with her pushing Mercy away but he wasn't giving up, he knew what he wanted and willing to go above and beyond for it because he had yearned for it for himself for so long, he never wanted anyone to feel what he went through growing up, my heart broke when his mother was briefly telling her past life and what and how it started then for him to finally hear and try to understand her actions I would hope they would be able to take the steps in fixing the relationship. I applaud him because even though she had not been there for him he still took care of her. Story's mother and uncle deserved to be tortured for all they put her through and more. Just because a man didn't want you for you to set him up then belittle, torture a piece of his heart when you could have just given her away is lower than trash on the ground, then for them to still want to set her up, Missy was foul for that and karma came quickly for her. Everyone needs a best friend like Skyy I understand she didn't have the best love life and again it was hard to accept when the ones you gave your heart too only breaking it but she knew deep down that her mind, heart, and body belonged to Loso that's why she always kept Case at arms length which was good because he didn't change just adapted to get back in her life but I don't think he was done. Don't want to spoil or give away too much but this series is a MUST READ!!!
Mercy did not play about Story and I love that she finally found her peace and some happiness!!!… It’s crazy how the both of them were broken children on different paths, but yet right next to each other!!!.. I was so angry with Missy because Story looked out for everyone without question, even though she continued to feel let down!!!… Skyy finally allowed herself to listen to Loso in order to enjoy the happiness that was surrounding her!!!…I was so excited for them!!!… Stoney came home with a mission and I was so happy that he let it be none!!!… As much as I disliked everything about Chyna, I was so happy she finally spk up and did what was right!!!. Mitchell was a WHOLE peddie out her and grooming children all over the place!!!…He didn’t care about nobody and I was glad Karma finally showed up for him!!!… I wanted to see the babies come into the world and Mitchelle and Mercy start repairing their relationship!!!… I need more on Meech!!!…He was that silent enforcer, with such a gentle personality!!!…
This 3 book series flowed well, keeping me entertained. The characters made you want to know more, to understand their past & their stories made me root for them as it’s admirable when anyone is able to totally change their life regardless of circumstances & challenges. The inclusion of social media and the role that plays in careers and the lives of all the characters is so relevant to our world today There is violence and references to abuse however it’s part of their evolution & if you can take it I think the author does good job of showing different points of view and how sometimes we can miss the opportunity to love if we assume or judge people wrongfully. I really enjoyed taking this journey with Story, Mercy, Loso, Skyy & their supporting characters… truly ended up wanting the best for them…
I’m glad you didn’t break them up and just let their story play out letting them learn and heal from all the pain and trauma they both endured I didn’t know his mama was a twin and her low down brother is the one who got her strung out on drugs makes me wonder if he knew but I can’t imagine him letting his uncle live knowing that I wish she would’ve written him a letter explaining what she went through so he could’ve gotten better understanding of what she went through I really don’t have any words about story mama all I can do is smh I’m just glad that in the end karma got her and her nasty brother and to here that her grandmother knew and told her not to say anything says a lot about her
The series is off the hinges and so lit. My boy was not playing bout my girl. Her momma was a peace of work, that’s why her and her brother are in hell. But what got me is she confided to her grandma on what her uncle was doing and they still wanted her to keep her mouth shut. And my boy uncle got what was came to him too. I would love to get an update on them cause u need to do one with her brother and her Bestfriend. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
Well, it took Story long enough to get it together because I thought she was going to lose Mercy. Like I said, I understand what Mercy was trying to do when it came to his uncle, but he should've given Story the heads up. That darnnnnnnnnnn Skyy was about to drive me crazy. I knew something wasn't right with Kace, but I ain't gone lie I thought he was gay lol. Loso put down and got his women. He was on that big d*#k energy. Story uncle and momma got exactly what they deserved, but it took too long, but it got done. Overall, I enjoyed this series.
I really loved everything about this book! The series along was lit ! I felt like I was story in some ways ! This series truly spoke to me on so many levels! The title alone was everything ☺️☺️☺️! I am so glad that everything worked out for Mercy and Story but Jazz I need a part 4 to see what happens after they have their babies , what happens with Loso and Sky to see if her ex is going to retaliate! Will Mecry and his mom make mends and how will things be with Story and Loso Dad!
I loved it! Story and Mercy finally got their Happy ending! There were so many factors and people against their union, but in the end everyone who had a hand in trying to destroy them was dealt with, Skyy and Loso got back together, Momma Liz and Stoney were trying again, Kase good the boot as he should and all loose ends were neatly tied up. Mercy loved his Story! Great read Jazz E, I finished it in one evening! Can't wait for the next great read!
The storyline was really good, but Story and the other girl forgot her name already, they worked my nerves, especially Story. I feel for her because of everything that the poor child had been through, she needed serious help before trying to be in any kind of relationship, then she was constantly putting herself in harms way being so naive at times. Honestly she was exhausting to read. I did like the story though.
Story had a story to tell but most of all she had Mercy. This book was one of a kind, the love these too shared was unconditional and through it all, it never wavered. Mitchell was a creep and Angel was needy so she went and fell for anything until she couldn’t anymore. Michelle was a lost soul but her determination saw her through. Great read
I love the story line and I enjoyed the love Mercy showed Story. I gave this story 5 stars because it made me go through many emotions and it kept me looking for what would happen next. I love Story's strength and faith. I would tell family and friends about this series. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Jazz E. A new fan Lady T.
Mannn I ate these books up! I loveddddd Mercy ! Him and Story had it rough but they made nothing into something ! Loved watching their growth throughout the books even through the mess lol
There’s no way you ended this series like that. To not know what they had and reading about the new house. I hope there’s a series coming out with loso nas skyy so we can find out and see where the love went.
So happy for Mercy and Story to get their happy ending! I would move to see Lisa and Skyy maybe then we can see what we can het a glimpse of the twins! Those who did them wrong were handled accordingly!
Jazz E wrapped up this series very well. All questions were answered. I do feel like I want a spin off of Meech and Monica. Overall it was a good read!
I'm Team Mercy and Story... I also loved how Meech took care of Story. I feel like I missed a part when Story found out her dad was out. But anywho this was a good read.
Jazz my girl you have arrived! This book was written so well, and you told this story from your soul. I give you two thumbs up on a amazing job! You have arrived!
