Let’s hear it for the boys!!!

As a parent to a young boy I was delighted to gift this book to my son as one of his birthday presents. My nephews are next on the list. Recommended for boys between the ages of 5-12, this book is exactly what it claims to be~a compelling collection of inspiring stories for boys, paired with journaling exercises that can foster bravery, self-awareness, and the value of hard work.

Ten magical stories that include music, sports, dancing, career aspirations, gaming, dinosaurs, horses, making new friends, and so much more. It reinforces the importance of dreaming without limits. The characters were developed enough to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and fears as they traverse the obstacles before them. There was a nice balance between asking for help and being self-reliant, which is important for boys to understand.

I really enjoyed this book as a parent because it’s practical, relatable, and touched on the fears our boys may feel at various times in their early development. A wonderful addition to my son’s growing (digital) library. I can see him going back to reread these stories as he gets older and further appreciate the depth of each story. I am secretly excited about reading his journaling, if he would let me 🤭

Thanks to the author Natasha Moutinho, a mother herself who understood the assignment and did a fabulous job of brining it to life. Kudos to you!!!

Great Guide for Big and Small

I read this with my son and we both loved it. He wants to start journaling (with pictures), and it’s a great start for him to reach his goals. He connected with the gaming stories the most - he’s a little gamer at heart!

For me, this was a great book with ideas that can be used by adults as well. I connected with quite a few of the stories! It was an easy, happy read and I’ll be using some of the techniques.

Positive and Uplifting

A great source of encouragement and inspiration for boys as they read about different scenarios and challenges, pointing them to follow their dreams. Perhaps it would be a little more realistic to show more challenges that need to be overcome in the form of lack of support from peers. Overall, the range of stories should appeal to most boys.

A variety of goals and adventures

Natasha Moutinho shows children their dreams are possible. In some of the stories the kids don’t reach their goal but they learn to stay encouraged. I’m not sure why this is labeled for boys. Great for all genders!

I always read what I’m going to share with my kids. My inner child was healed and encouraged through the journaling exercises. Great book!
