A young teacher's life is turned upside down when fate brings her face-to-face with the massive bear shifter she's destined to be with forever.
Tristian
As a bear shifter, I never expected to find my fated mate in a radical human bar, but one whiff of her sweet vanilla scent and I knew she was mine. Now I'll fight heaven and hell to claim Ebony and make her see that she belongs with me in Wintermoon forever.
Ebony
My quiet life is upended when Tristian, a massive bear shifter, bursts into the radical bar where I'm reluctantly on a date and declares I'm his fated mate. He's determined to chase me down and whisk me away to the supernatural haven of Wintermoon, but can I trust this primal stranger who's so intent on chasing me down?
Wintermoon Shorts is a series set in the world of Wintermoon, featuring characters from the Fated Mates series. These stories focus less on plot and more on spicy moments. For mature listeners.
Hello, readers! I rarely visit this space, but if you’d like to connect, you can find me on my blog or social media, where I’m most active. Thank you for your support, and happy reading!
Did Tristian seriously burn down a whole bar because one of the waitresses inside slapped his mate in the face? Yes, and we absolutely support these unhinged shenanigans!
Granted, said bar was also the secret hangout for radical humans who hate shifters and so Tristian was essentially doing community service. Poor Ebony didn't even want to be there, especially once she realised what type of people were in the bar and she doesn't subscribe to their hate agenda at all.
But this was clearly a case of fate's hand in wrong place, right time because this manipulated blind date brings Tristian and Ebony together and literally ignites their fast-paced, heavy on the spice mating. Their connection is strong and beautiful and Tristian's devotion is clear and intentional, even when his overprotective bear instincts want to keep Ebony at home and away from any and all dangers (and basically other people too, if we're being honest).
This was cute. It was pretty political as well, but not in a way that bothered me. I don't like the fact that his bear didn't have a name, and I know the fmc was human, but she didn't act like someone with a fated mate, and that kind of threw me off a bit, but I still really enjoyed this cute, quick story. I loved that the police was a lesbian vampire witch hybrid lol, that was just a fun detail, and I also like that all the shifters for the most part lived in harmony. I'm used to reading books where packs are beefing with other packs, so this was a pleasant and refreshing take. I also like that mates are so possessive that when they introduce their mate to the pack, all male members know not to touch lol. There were just so many cute little things I could go on about in this book, so I'm happy with it being a very simple 4-star.

This was my first Romantasy book and I'm officially a fan! Tessa Stone did a great job of explaining wintermoon without it being confusing which I was worried about as a newbie. Tristian may have been a bear shifter but he didn't play once he found his fated mate Ebony. He was willing to go to war with any and everyone before he even got a taste! I also loved how he knew what Ebony was feeling and thinking before she could even voice it because of her scent. Bear shifter or not he had no problems putting Ms. Ebony through the mattress and making sure she had no reason to ever want to leave Wintermoon!
So glad we got Tristian's love story. I almost forgot about him but I'm so glad we circled back to him. Loved his meeting with Ebony and these Wintermoon Shorts are gonna have me hooked.
