A small-town story about reinvention, forgiveness, unexpected connection, and the courage to choose a different kind of life.

When Jordy Gallo arrives in Lahoma Springs, she’s focused on one thing: designing a luxury boutique and getting back to New York where everything makes sense and feelings stay neatly contained. But this quiet farm town has its own opinions—all of them loud—and Jordy quickly becomes the face of an unwelcome corporate takeover. The harder the town pushes back, the more her carefully curated life begins to unravel.

Then there’s Ashton Elliot: a single father, a devoted farmer, and the one man in Lahoma Springs who doesn’t treat her like an outsider—until he finds out who she works for. Their brief spark sputters into cold distance, but fate has a way of trapping them in the same orbit. Especially when Jordy ends up unexpectedly staying at his farmhouse, forced to confront a life slower, deeper, and far more honest than anything she’s known.

Ashton has spent years rebuilding himself after heartbreak. Between raising his daughter and keeping the farm afloat, he has no room for a woman who complicates everything he’s worked to protect. But Jordy is impossible to ignore—sharp, messy, vulnerable beneath the sharp edges—and she makes him question whether he’s been surviving instead of living.

In the quiet spaces of early mornings, shared meals, and hard conversations, Jordy and Ashton begin to uncover the truths they’ve been avoiding about themselves. And as Lahoma Springs becomes more than a temporary stop, Jordy must decide whether the future she’s been chasing is really the one she wants—or if the life she needs is here, with the people who see her for who she truly is.

The Jilted Lovers Club is a heartfelt, slow-burn novel about finding your place, mending what feels unfixable, and letting love in where you least expect it.

Beta read

I had the honor of being one of the first readers and I can’t wait for this to be published. Jordy’s story with both Ashton and the town of Lahoma Springs is one worth sharing. And Crissi Langwell has released yet another book that had me turning pages late into the night.

Dammit! I lost count of how many times I cried for Jordy. My girl was so strong. I loved her so much.
Crissi Langwell is a new-to-me author and this book would not be my last of hers. Even though this is my first book of hers I read, I did my research (?) and Jordy was the woman who got cheated by her fiancé with her cousin in Ms. Langwell's previous book, Savior Complex. What a mess and I couldn't help but hate Bayden (her ex) and Nina (her cousin). I am not a fan of a love triangle so I would never put my hand on Bayden and Nina's book no matter how great the reviews were. I don't tolerate cheating and the fact that Bayden cheated on Jordy was enough for me to root even more for Jordy. I was so happy that finally Jordy got what she deserved in this book. Though getting her HEA was not easy at all.
Mind you that this book has heavy subjects discussed. So please read the trigger warnings before you read this book.
As I mentioned before, Jordy was so strong. She went through so much before this book and during this book but she still faced those problems with her chin high. Some might describe her as bitchy or ice queen but I would fight whoever talks down about her. I would marry her myself if I could.
While I loved Jordy the most, I loved Ashton too. He understood Jordy and was the best for her. At some parts, there was miscommunication between Ashton and Jordy and it broke Jordy heart, but fortunately Ashton made the right decisions and embraced her. They had insta-love slash insta-attraction going on between them but they treated their attraction slowburnish and I loved it more because of that.
I loved each and every scenes of Jordy and Lottie. I could easily read 100 pages or more of them. I cried so many times too because Lottie healed Jordy the best way possible.
I always love small-town in my romance books, and Lahoma Springs was no exception. Though Lahoma Springs' people gave a rocky start to Jordy, but they grew on me and I can't wait to be back through other books in this series.

Thank you to Crissi Langwell and The Author Agency for the ARC.

I don't usually read romance but I made an exception for a fellow local author whose book event I attended. I was pleasantly surprised that this book subverted my preconceived notions of romance with well-developed characters and a character-driven plot. And of course it was delightful to read about the fictional town of Lahoma Springs, based on my hometown of Petaluma, CA, and to try to guess which real-life settings had inspired the ones in the book.

I absolutely loved The Jilted Lovers Club! It’s my favorite Crissi Langwell novel so far. No spoilers, but how this ended will leave you wanting to read the next in the series and begging for it to be published now! It’s like watching a favorite show and having to wait a year for the next season. Speaking of that, while reading this book I could see the story playing out like a movie. I’d totally watch this on Netflix! Great story, Crissi! I can’t wait to read more! 🌟

I have a lot to say. This book exhausted me, like made me bone deep tired. Not in a good way.

We have Jordy and Ashton, and his daughter Lottie. I liked these characters. They were raw, harsh but real. I didn’t love Ashton much, he was jumping to conclusions left right and center. He made stupid decisions with Jordy and it pissed me off.

The best part of the book was probably Jordy and her turmoil with her loss/fertility journey. Reading about her with Lottie was healing and just made me reading this book worth it.

However, I really felt like Lottie wasn’t a 2 year old but maybe 1 at most, at 2 kids are verbose and know things going on around them. She spoke in one word and that wasn’t believable to me.

I hated that Jordy had a relationship with her ex and her cousin who cheated on her together and had a child. It’s wasn’t OK, you can clearly see Jordy struggles so much with the entire thing and honestly so valid but NINA and BRAYDEN can go rot in hell, I don’t care. Why was she made to talk about them and include them everywhere when it wasn’t needed or wanted??? I can’t even imagine what the author was thinking when she wrote a whole book on them?!?! I just hated those characters especially Nina because of her constant rubbing of her relationship in Jordy’s face. I hope Nina gets cheated on by Brayden and Brayden gets cheated on by someone else so they both go through the same bullshit they put Jordy through!!!!

Both of them were not needed, not necessary, and not wanted. I hate them so much, it makes me rage. I just don’t get why does everyone have to be friends??? She was wronged by them so it’s fine she doesn’t want to do anything by them.

Cheating is cheating. It’s a crime in half the world and was a crime world wide just a few years back, so please STOP. A crime is a crime, you aren’t forgiven for your crimes, you pay for them one way or another.

Also, Sasha seems like an interesting character but I won’t be reading this author again.

If you want to read this book but not be offended by Nina and Brayden, I think they come around physically in chapters 30 and 31, so jump scare warning. I was just so tired of them.

Also, this is a side note but I really really really felt like the author in some internalized misogynistic part of her brain felt like that man need to have biological children but women are fine even if they don’t have them. Just saying.

Drained me.

Jordy is career minded and wants to prove herself in the career she has chosen. Her first big job (on her own) brings her to Lahoma Springs.

This small town hates outsiders. She is blacklisted and now has no where to stay and can't even get a good meal at any restaurant.

In walks Ashton - the knight in country armor who is the only person to befriend her. Little does he know, she is exactly what this single dad needs.

This story is not just a love story between Ashton and Jordy, but a love story for a town and a way of life.

Now...time for me to find my version of Lahoma Springs.

I absolutely loved this book from the moment I opened it and I couldn't put it down. It had me gripped

This is my first book by this author and it certainly won't be my last.

Jordys first reactions of the town had me in stitches her being a big new York city girl to being in town that is everything she is not

"The town is everything my New York neighborhood is not. Craftsman houses with river rock chimneys, cobblestone pathways, and white picket fences. A green copper drawbridge over a lazy river, and kayakers drifting downstream. Trees that make up the center divider and bike paths on every goddamn road. Drivers slowing to allow other cars to merge in or to just wave at someone on the street. And a banner over the main street, inviting the town to a gazebo dedication in the town square. My god, this place is basic."

I love the first encounter with Ashton had me kicking my feet and grinning from ear to ear

" Does the Universe even make men this beautiful? Because the man standing in front of me is easily the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen. I mean, there’s a Neo-Renaissance building across the street—dripping with history, secrets, and who knows what other treasures—and yet this man, with skin the color of burnished bronze, eyes like dark espresso, and a smile so disarming I forget how to speak … he’s the architectural masterpiece. Not to mention that I can see the shape of his chiseled chest through his flannel shirt, the thickness of his thighs under his faded blue jeans, and that worn out baseball cap on his head, the brim curved over his brow. The whole look seems to be the standard uniform of well-built cowboys, not to mention my absolute kryptonite. Fuck, I’m a sucker for this look, as much as I hate to admit it. I’d escaped to New York to immerse myself in high fashion and culture. But goddamn, those men in fitted suits have nothing on this country boy. "

I don't want to spoil the book so please read this book its absolutely amazing you won't be disappointed but please check your trigger warnings as does cover sensative subjects and it does have a happy ever after with a ending that will shock you.

Where do I start where do I start! 🤭🫣

First, congratulations to Crissi on this absolutely incredible book honestly, I almost don’t have any words on how much I loved this one. Cash, Jordy & Lottie are such a special little family, I just wanted to read more and more about them! 🤭🥹

Let’s start off by introducing you to Ashton Elliot, the man that he is… I absolutely loved him even if in the beginning I didn’t appreciate how he treated Jordy when he knew she wasn’t actually the one in the wrong but let me just say he quickly redeemed himself! He was the best dad to the sweetest little girl and watching him navigate what to do about his relationship with Jordy really pulled on my heart strings, he was the perfect man for her and came into her life exactly when she needed him! 🥹

While mentioning Jordy, let me introduce you to this incredible woman who has gone through so much in life and gotten so little in return. I haven’t read any of the previous books from this author but after reading up on some of her books I found out that there’s was a book before this where Jordy was part of a love triangle and her fiancé ended up leaving her for her cousin but besides for that we meet Jordy after all of this has happened to her and boy was she a powerhouse of a woman. child loss TW. She went through so much and the way she punished herself after losing her baby, absolutely broke me, I can’t imagine what she want through in life but the woman she became was someone so special and I loved how much of a bond she created with Lottie, away from her relationship with Cash, she loved that little girl with everything in her. In the beginning it was so hard for her to be around her but she decided to work through her loss and be there for that little girl and wow she was absolutely incredible, heartbreaking vulnerable and overall the best life partner for Ashton! 🤭💗✨

And of course we also have little Lottie that stole my heart, she was written perfectly and honestly I wish we got to see more of her but what we did get was perfect! 💗✨

Guys, I truly have no words for this one other than please read if you don’t, I truly think you are missing out! 💗✨

Here are some of the tropes you will definitely miss out if you don’t pick up this read! 🤭💗✨

💗 Opposites Attract
💗 Enemies to Lovers
💗 Forced Proximity
💗 Small Town vs Big City
💗 Single Dad
💗 Town Hate Her, He Saves Her
💗 Slow Burn. Tension

Happy Reading 🤭✨

Crissi Langwell is a new to me author and I will tell you that the emotional depth she brought to this book is no joke. I don't even know how many different times I cried as I read her beautifully written story. It will not be my last book!

The Jilted Lovers Club is set in a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business, and family ties run deep. Outsiders aren’t easily welcomed, and the community will do whatever it takes to protect their own. So when Jordy arrives in Lahoma to redesign a newly purchased building, she’s met with cool reception. Enter Ashton, a single dad who, like Jordy, is somewhat of an outsider himself. After one too many drinks at the local bar, Ashton ends up taking care of Jordy—though part of him wishes he’d left her there.

This story beautifully explores found family, processing grief and loss, healing, and holding onto hope that the right person will find their way into your life. Jordy and Ashton settle into a rhythm alongside his daughter Lottie, with Ashton working on the farm and Jordy redesigning the store. Though miscommunications arise—which isn’t my favorite trope—they find ways to work through them. The supporting characters add depth to the story and gently push Ashton and Jordy to stop fighting their undeniable chemistry. Ashton is a supportive and encouraging partner as well as a devoted dad. Jordy steps out of her comfort zone, facing her fears with grace and determination. And we can’t forget little Lottie—her healing journey with Jordy is both heartwarming and uplifting.

The ending leaves you with a “WTF?” moment, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book.

Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for the ARC.

This book had me in an absolute chokehold. I devoured it so fast the first time, I reread it immediately so I could take my time and savor the beauty that is Crissi Langwell's writing.

Jordy ends up in Lahoma Springs to redesign a store into a luxury shop. Almost immediately, small town Lahoma Springs blacklists her because they don't want their town ruined. Lahoma Springs is a character in and of itself! One person, however, welcomes Jordy - Ashton. He has her stay at his house since not even the hotel will let her stay anymore. Cue the beginning of the slow burn.

Lottie, Ashton's young daughter, is very present and you get to see her build a relationship with Jordy as well. There's a lot of emotion with the plot and characters - not just Jordy and Ashton. Langwell strikes the right balance between the romance and emotion that will have you yelling at and rooting for Jordy and Ashton at the same time.

I have never read anything by this author before, so Jordy and Ashton are totally new-to-me characters. They do appear in other books, but not having read them, I can confidently say, you will not be lost if you don't. You'll want to go back and read them after reading Jilted Lovers Club though!

Pick it up for the weekend or for that simmering slow burn. It's just. so. damn. good.

🔥Small-Town vs Big-City

🔥Town Hates Her, He Saves Her

**Engaging Story**

*The Jilted Lovers Club* kicks off the Lahoma Springs series with a heartwarming emotional journey between Jordy and Ashton. Their story truly grabs your attention from the very first page! Both characters have faced their fair share of challenges and built up emotional walls, which makes their instant attraction to each other all the more intriguing.

When Jordy arrives in town to remodel a business, she encounters some conflict, especially with the community's initial protests. This part of the story really showcases the hurdles she faces while staying dedicated to her work, and how Jordy wins over the townspeople with the little things she does to build those connections. Ashton and Jordy's connection also grows stronger despite the obstacles thrown in their way. That only just deepens and enriches their story.

The author has done a fantastic job of crafting relatable and likable characters, making this a delightful read. Since this is my first time experiencing her writing, I can’t wait to explore more of her work! The emotional healing journey the characters embark on feels so genuine, setting the stage for a beautiful, happy ending. Overall, this book is off to a wonderful start, and I’m excited to see how the series unfolds!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

🖤Small-Town vs Big-City

🖤Slow. Burn. Tension.

This slow burn love story was an emotional story that showcased the characters vulnerability and their jilted emotions from their past lovers. Ashton never thought he would be a single dad living on his ex-girlfriend's family farm raising his daughter without her. He had to pick up the pieces after his ex left him, their daughter and town. Jordy keeps herself busy taking jobs all across the country to avoid being back home where her ex-fiancé broke her heart when he chose her cousin over her. Both Ashton and Jordy have emotional baggage that they try to ignore and carry on their own. When Jordy shows up in Ashton’s small town, she is the villain that is trying to gentrify their small town. Not knowing anyone and having a stream of bad luck, Ashton takes pity on Jordy and lets her stay with him while she gets her work done. Their slow burn romance starts off as friends as they learn to trust and lean on each other.

This story does mention loss of a child, stillbirth, postpartum depression, anxiety.

This book is more then just a romance, it's about falling in love with a small town and the amazing people in it!
Jordy is a city girl with an eye for detail. She's hired by a company to do a remodel on a building. She has no idea what awaits her in Lahoma Springs.. she's hated immediately and blacklisted by the townspeople but one man, Ashton, sees her and shows her the good in these people and himself. She has some past trauma that she has to overcome before she can be happy. Her and Ashton, along with Bec, Bob and sweet little Lottie, show her what it really means to live in a small town. They show her love when the others don't.
Ashton has his own issues as well. He was taken advantage of by someone he thought loved him. She left him, Lottie and her own family with almost nothing. He struggles with letting anyone get close to him and Lottie. He's focused on the farm and just living his love. There's just something about Jordy that makes want something different. These two work great together and help each other see the beauty in a healthy relationship. Jordy also overcomes a past trauma with the help of Lottie.
This book is chocked full of heart, love and doing everything possible to save a little town with lots of history. I loved the book, the characters{minus Alexander, of course} and the charm of the town. Great book!!

This book delivered exactly what I was craving—a slow‑burn, small-town romance with crackling chemistry and just the right amount of emotional mess.

Jordy and Ashton’s story pulled me in with their tension-filled dynamic, reluctant attraction, and the complicated baggage they both brought to the table. The chemistry between them was fantastic, and once the pacing picked up, I was completely hooked. I really appreciated the depth of emotion and the realistic messiness that played out between them—it made their connection feel earned.

What I loved:
The chemistry was so well done—tangible and just the right kind of angsty
The slow burn gave me everything I want from an enemies-to-lovers setup
I genuinely enjoyed the emotional realism—how things got messy, uncomfortable, and real

What didn’t quite land for me:
I struggled with how quickly Ashton believed someone else over Jordy—it felt a little abrupt
The beginning was slower than I typically prefer, but once it found its rhythm, I was all in
Jordy’s boss… look, I didn’t enjoy him as a character, but that’s not a critique of the writing—he was clearly written to be a jerk, and it was done well. He just got under my skin (as intended, I think!)

If you love small-town settings, reluctant but magnetic connections, and romances that don’t shy away from emotional mess—this one’s a great pick. It has heart, tension, and a lead couple that’ll have you rooting for their happily-ever-after.

ARC REVIEW
Let Crissi Langwell take you to small town Lahoma Springs with an opposites attract, enemies to lovers romance full of forced proximity, slow burn and tension between a single dad and the big-city girl who is hated by the entire town.

I was not prepared for the emotional toll this book would take on me. I could not put it down, and now I want more.

Jordy and Ashton are characters from some of Crissi’s earlier works, and now they get to shine in their own story.
They have both experienced trauma in their past, making them weary, but it also helps them see what they have in common.
Their love story is slow and full of tension, but it is beautiful.

Best of all, it is not just their love story, but also the love story of Jordy and Lottie, and Jordy and Lahoma Springs, and it is so special to see her overcome trauma and find her home.

This was easily 5 stars for me, and though it was my first Crissi Langwell read, it will definitely not be my last.

Thank you so very much to The Author Agency and Crissi Langwell for the free advance review copy for which I am leaving this review voluntarily.

When I started this book, I was not sure if I would continue to like it, as I hated the way Jordy described the small town people and was not sure I could continue reading as I grew up in a small town and man it drove me crazy, but she grew on me, the same way the town grew on her, and then I ended up really enjoying her character towards the end.

Honestly, Ashton was not that great in the beginning but he owns up to it, and admits what he did was wrong, and so I was cool with it, especially as he and his family were the only ones who was nice to Jordy in the beginning. I loved seeing their relationship progress, and watching them communicate and try to figure out how to stay together but also knowing it's not realistic and I loved the honesty between them.

With the storyline of Jordy's boss, that was wild, and I loved how it all played out. It was a perfect conflict for a romance set in a small town, that also causes fractures in all the relationships with how everyone handles everything. It made the story so emotional, especially when you add in the pregnancy loss storyline. After the first few chapters, I really fell for this story, and I cannot wait to read book 2.

This is the First book in the Lahoma Springs Series but the FMC Jordy is mentioned in Savior Complex.
Jordy came to Lahoma Springs to design a luxury store and then hightail it back to New York. After the whole town protests her being there she passes out after drinking. Only to wake up in a stranger's farmhouse. Ok, Ashton isn't a stranger, he was actually nice until he found out her employer. Too bad he hates her because the single dad is pretty cute and so is his kid.
Ashton should have left Jordy alone. After everything she represents but the Savior in him couldn't leave her there puking on her shoes. Now the woman he shouldn't be attracted to is sleeping in his ex's bedroom and making his life ten times more complicated.
Jordy is one of the strongest characters I've read in awhile. She goes through so much and although some would call her an ice queen, I think she's just really able to control her emotions. The chemistry between Jordy and Ashton was spot on and I really enjoyed the book.

AHHHH! Read this!

Holy cow - Crissi does it again! I’m absolutely in LOVE with Lahoma Springs and Jordy, Ashton, Lottie and the Lahoma crew. There is nothing like small town pride and I love the way it shines in this book.

Jordy is healing from an engagement ending and then moving to NewYork to start a new career and life. She travels to Lahoma to do interior design for a new business bought by her boss.

Here we stumble (literally) into Ashton…he catches Jordy and it’s love at first sight. Until he realizes she works for the company that just bought his family business and is the reason a picket line is outside the store. Jordy makes enemies through no fault of her own and is refused a room at the only hotel in town.

So who steps up? Our man, Ashton! He saves the day, well after getting her drunk at a local restaurant. And it just gets better from there!!!

This is a must read! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and how Crissi is going to make me fall in love with a character she just made me hate 😅

2/5 on the spice scale for me!

Wow!! I can’t wait to read more from this author, I loved this romance so much!

The Jilted Lovers Club is an enemies to lovers, single dad, opposites attract, forced proximity romance between Jordy and Ashton.

I really felt for Jordy. She’s gone through so much pain, and she’s now thrown into a town who hates her for doing her job with no knowledge of her boss’s ulterior motives. I loved how she really got to know the town and its people, finding her home with them, especially with Ashton and his daughter. I really think readers will love her.

I absolutely loved Ashton. All he’s trying to do is care for his family the best he possibly can, and I loved how protective he is of everyone he loves. It was so sweet watching his walls come down the more they fell in love, how he would do absolutely anything for her. He’s such a beautiful character, and readers will completely fall head over heels for him.

Thank you so much to @crissilangwellbooks and @theauthor.agency for my arc!

First...5 star romance. It has the slowest of hot burns, tension, single Dad, and a small town vs. city relationship. YES!!! Oh...and it's SPICY!
.
.
Jordy goes to a small town to resign a store and is met with IMMEDIATE pushback...she is black balled from the town! The townspeople added such character to this book, that extra layer made it all so great!! Ashton feels bad and takes her in, eventually taking him to stay at his house (since her hotel reservation no longer exists). But...why is he being so nice? Hmmm...we'll find out later.

So, not only do we have a possible budding romance, we also have possible budding friendships with a few people in town because Jordy is a classy girl who knows how to win people over. This story is absolutely delightful and I can't wait for more in this little town!

This book gave me Virgin River vibes (I saw the show, not read the books. I will fix that…) Ashton is a single father taking care of an adorable baby girl after his girlfriend left them behind in Lahoma Springs. Jordy is a top notch store designer from NYC hired to redesign the interior of a former local business that will become a high end watch store. When the town shuts her out, Ashton helps her out and things get interesting for the people of Lahoma Springs.

After having read this book, I am in for the series all the way. What fascinates me more is that both Ashton and Jordy are from the author’s other series. It’s mentioned in the very beginning so guess who’s gonna need those books? 😉

If you love small town single dad slow burn romances, read this book!

Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for the review copy.

The Jilted Lovers Club is single dad Ashton and Jordy’s small town romance set in Lahoma Springs. It’s book one in the Lahoma Springs Series and this slow burn, heartwarming and at times heartbreaking is
a good start to the series. This is a beautifully written love story that drew me in and didn’t let me go.
Jody arrives in Lahoma Springs to renovate a recently sold building and from the moment she arrives she is hit with hostility. The only people to make her welcome are Ashton and his in-laws and honestly they should be the people aggrieved by her arrival…..
What’s follows is a slow burn romance with two people facing the scars from their pasts. I fell hard and fast for Ashton and I want the strong and sassy Jordy in my corner but it was a little girl and her love of cheerios who stole my heart and Jordy’s.

I was thrilled to be among the early readers for The Jilted Lovers Club, and this sweet, slow-burn romance completely grounded me in its heartfelt world.

Watching Jordy and Ashton navigate misunderstandings and town gossip was a delight. They start with guarded resistance, move toward wary friendship, and then undeniable attraction; each kiss earns its chemistry. Ashton isn’t just protective in a cute way: he’s weary, responsible, and complex. Jordy challenges him at his edge in the best possible way.

The Jilted Lovers Club is a beautiful marriage of emotional depth, small-town charm, and slow-crack intimacy. It’s perfect for when you want a romance that feels lived-in, with gentle steam and a strong sense of belonging. Crissi Langwell doesn’t just tell a love story, she recreates the sensation of home.

The Jilted Lovers Club was a great read! Jordy, a woman trying to make it in New York, is assigned to design a new store in small town Lahoma Springs. What she doesn't expect to find, is a town full of close knit people that will do anything for each other. Jordy meets Ashton under interesting circumstances after being shunned by the whole town for what she is there to do.

Jordy thinks she's just going for a job assignment, but what she finds there is so much more. Ashton and everyone else in Lahoma Springs changes the way Jordy looks at the world, and changes the way she feels as a person. They also heal her from a lot of past trauma she carries deep within her.

Ashton and Jordy are made for each other, they just don't realize it as quickly as others in the town do. The Jilted Lovers Club is a great slow burn book if that's what you're after as a reader!

Crissi Langwell has a gift for writing characters you feel with—their vulnerability, growth, and connection pulled me in deep. Jordy’s sharp wit had me smiling from the very beginning, and Ashton’s quiet kindness was impossible not to love. Their romance slowly unfolds with just the right amount of tension and banter. Watching them navigate their past trauma, open up to each other, and build something real made the story so satisfying. Add in Lottie's sweetness and a whole town full of characters, and you've got a story full of heart.

Between the single dad vibes, the slow-burn tension, and the characters' emotional growth, it had a solid mix of tropes I love and characters I can't get enough of. And THAT CLIFFHANGER?! I will be impatiently waiting to see what happens next.

This was a beautifully written story. I was not prepared for the emotional roller coaster I was on. I actually had some tears at one point time. Jordy’s pain was so raw and real. Check your triggers!
This was a small town, 2nd chance, found family, single dad romance.
She comes to town to remodel one of the small businesses. Being a small town, she’s disliked immediately. After she’s no longer able to stay at the towns only hotel, he takes her in.
Both characters are so relatable. They have ex-trauma. They’ve built walls to protect themselves but they’re drawn to each other and move forward together. She’s able to get her closure and finally close a painful chapter of her life.
I can’t wait for the next book to be released!

What just happend!!

It was good, better than I expected. I was involved. Yelling at them involved lol.

Agreeing with the townies when they were pushing Ashton to admit his feelings.

Beautiful story in a small town where everyone knows your name (like the cheers show theme song).

Ashton def fell first but he also had his stubborn moments. Jordy had hers too. But everything worked out. She fell for him and his daughter and relationships like that happen everyday. And her ex boss!!! He’s a piece of deceptive work. Sooo glad things came to light.

Now something I normally don’t see in this genre.. CLIFFHANGER!! I was left on “Sasha”.. why’s she there?! Who invited her?! What’s next?! HELP SEND ANSWERS BECAUSE I HAVE QUESTIONS!! Everyone should read this!

Omg I want to live in Lahoma Springs!
Jordy is a complicated gal. She has walls around herself that 20ft tall and built by brick!! She ends up in Lahoma Spring to design a building for her boss. Little did she know how horrible things would go. The whole town turns against her and she ends up at a ranch at the edge of town
Ashton is a single dad, living on and running his in laws ranch. His daughter’s mom is no where to be found and they are all heartbroken over it. In walks Jordy and wins over all their hearts especially Ashton’s 2 year old daughter Lottie. Then the other shoe drops and Jordy gets screwed over again by her boss!
This book was heartbreaking at times but the ending is so worth it! 🖤💘🖤 really truly loved this book but Brayden can seriously step on a rusty nail 😏😆
