Be careful who you trust with your child. After losing her husband, Sarah is doing everything she can to hold herself—and her young son Theo—together. When Elena appears, calm, capable, and eager to help, she seems like the answer to Sarah’s prayers. Theo adores her, and for the first time in months, Sarah feels like she can finally breathe.
But soon, little things start to feel… off. Lullabies Sarah has never sung filling the house. Documents moved. Unfamiliar items appearing in Theo’s room. And the way Elena looks at her son—as if he belongs to her.
As Sarah digs deeper, she realizes this perfect nanny isn’t who she claims to be. And letting Elena into their home might not have just been a mistake—it could cost Sarah everything.
it was a fun read! definitely not the most well written thing i’ve ever read but i enjoyed it nonetheless 🥰
the only thing i didn’t love is the fact that Sarah is sooo shocked when Theo wants Elena as if she EVER sees him? Elena is a 24/7 nanny who is waking your baby up, feeding him, with him all day, giving him dinner, putting him to bed, getting up with him at night, why would he want you??? Obviously Elena was also manipulating the situation but realistically, Theo probably WOULD want Elena more; even without her pushing him into it.

I’ve devoured every book this author has written, but The Perfect Nanny felt like a level up. The story starts off calm—almost too calm—and then slowly unravels into something dark and disturbing. The characters felt so real, which made the suspense hit even harder. And the ending? Completely shocking. I had to sit in silence for a minute after finishing the last page. Brilliantly done.
