Impersonal Space
We just love a good frontier, don’t we? Whether we’re exploring the foreign depths of the natural world, science, religion, ourselves, technology, space— it really doesn’t matter to us. It’s cutting-edge, the most recent development, state-of-the-art, something we’ve never seen before, a light in the darkness. Now, that’s what’s important. So, a couple hundred years from today, when five human beings are selected to represent Earth, to learn more about their imperative unknowns, of course they took the invite. All they had to do was survive in their closet-like rooms with each other for the whole journey. Simple stay sane, represent the entire planet in front of a few alien species, then safely return home with a splash in the New Panamanian Gulf. What could go wrong?
