I’ve read both the original and the rewritten version of this book, and I’m honestly so glad the author chose to rework it. The transformation is incredible. Ivy, just 14, is a smart, fiery young girl determined to take control of her life. She’s bold yet vulnerable, and even at her age, she leaves a lasting impression. I’m completely hooked and can’t wait to see how she grows as this darker, more intense version of the series unfolds.
The writing is so much tighter now, the editing is flawless, and the character development has seriously leveled up. You can feel the emotion, the tension, and the care poured into every page. The new storyline dives deep into dark, gripping territory—twisted secrets, forbidden desires, and dangerous connections that simmer beneath the surface. The suspense, the cliffhangers, the psychological depth… it’s all brilliantly done.
This book didn’t just win me over—it consumed me. The author’s voice is haunting and addictive, and I’m already counting down the days until the next one. If you’re into stories that stir your emotions and leave you breathless, this one’s for you. Ivy’s journey is just beginning—and I’m here for every step.

I honestly don’t even know how to put into words how much I loved this book—but I’m gonna try. It kicks off with four teenagers and from that moment on, I was completely hooked. The story that unfolds is wild, emotional, and full of surprises. I wasn’t ready for any of it—and I loved that.
Rocco is my favourite. That temper of his? I just know it’s going to come in handy in book two, and I cannot wait to see where things go next. The way the author writes is so different—in a good way. There are loads of different points of view, and somehow they all blend together perfectly. It feels like a bunch of little stories woven into one big, epic tale, and I want to dive into every single one.
I’m obsessed with the author’s voice and falling in love with all her characters. This book has everything: crime, suspense, secrets, twists, romance, and a creeping darkness that sneaks up on you. I’m already desperate for the next one!

Where it all began... Leaves you breathless
WOW. Seeing this story transform again and reading the new characters and some new story, Ivy has become quite the powerful character. She is so loveable but also takes no shit from no one. But she does have her vulnerability.
Lieutenant Huxley and her partner, Hayes, are my favorite. She is ballsy like my Dawn Hudson character. I love powerful women and love how they can also be vulnerable. That makes them realistic.
I love how each character has their own chapters. Kind of like the Game of Thrones. The writing has improved greatly. And I'm not just saying this cause I personally know the author. We've both been through a lot this year and had to redo both our series. But I think for the better. You will fall in love with Ivy, her overprotective friends and brother Rocco. But this one today!
