Wow! This book was a very enjoyable, quick read for me.
Forbidden love is the trope used here. Bodyguard and their charge.
The story flowed seamlessly from chapter to chapter. With a slow burn, highly tense romance which can be felt by the reader.
The romantic scenes are spicy, detailed and well executed in the writing style.
Fierce Devotion was an engaging read throughout, with the epilogue warming my heart.
The dialogue was easy to read and very relatable.
I recommend this read to anyone who loves fats-paced, spicy, forbidden love with a twisted, dangerous storyline.

I get it Maggie, I too would risk it all for Theo. Like god DAYUM.
Truly this book was one that kept me going back for more. It’s the perfect mix of spicy but also soft. The slow burn is real and that just made it *chefs kiss*
The writing style is truly so well done, and it’s done in a way that makes you truly feel like you ARE the main character. I would HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
K. Lanthier once again mastered the slow burn and spice. The tension and teasing between Maggie and Theo was DEVINE.

Okay, YES. This one hit just right. This is technically book 2, and it can be read as a standalone, but I’d recommend reading the novella (Sweet Temptation) first. It adds depth to the side characters who pop in and out—and it’s a quick one anyway!
Maggie is a confident, headstrong FMC who knows how to play the game to get what she wants. And lucky for us, someone’s playing right back. I love this kind of dynamic—smart, sexy, and full of tension. The dialogue is tight, the pacing is spot on, and the forbidden vibes are chef’s kiss. I definitely wanted to leap into the book and pretend I was Maggie for a hot second.
There is one moment of character stupidity that made me side-eye for a beat—but honestly? The author nailed how to make it feel real. It wasn’t just for drama’s sake. It felt human and believable, which is rare and so appreciated.
Now for the spice—whew. When it gets going, it goes. Toes. Curled. But it’s written with care, not just smut for smut’s sake. There’s emotion and meaning wrapped into every scene.
Also... Theo. Sigh. I just want to wrap you in a blanket and make you tea while you stare at me with those eyes for the rest of eternity. 🫠
AND THE LOTR REFERENCES! You already had me, but now you’ve got my nerdy little heart too. My cat is named after a Tolkien character and my wedding ring has the inscription. So yeah... I noticed, and I loved it.
