Five years of hurt and pain for Reese ended in the revelation by Leah in Night Heat what had happened to make her pull up stakes in the middle of the night and leave everyone and everything she loved behind. Now, I am glad she was able to trust the intimacy she and Reese once shared and tell her future in-laws what happened to her all those years ago. Hurt feelings were salved, understandings were reached, and the once-buried love Reese's family had for Leah could be unleashed and embraced. Leah could now have the family she so longed for with the only man she ever loved. I am so glad for the outcome of their story especially, for the two epilogues! Mrs. Jackson, thank you for giving us closure in the Reese and Leah saga and for prepping us for what's to come when we spend Christmas with the Steeles. Side note: I had forgotten that those six gorgeous god-brothers are friends with the Steeles. Question? Will Quade Westermoreland be in attendance come Christmas since he is married to a Steele? I guess all of my questions will be answered around December, huh? Excellent Novella that I enjoyed immensely.
Short, well written story that tells of love, heartbreak and betrayal. Leah comes back to town after five years and reveals the truth to Reese as to the reason that she left town in the first place. Although Reese accepted her back into his life, his family was not as forgiving. After Reese was in an accident, Leah realized that she never wanted to lose him, told his family why she left and they lived happily ever after.
Short cute read. Sometimes, something drastic has to happen in order for you to see the blessing staring you in the face. This is exactly what happened to Leah in order to shake and wake her up to live, not just exist.
Leah found her voice! Loved Russell for her and his unconditional love upon her return home.
Reese and Leah had a difficult love story. She abandoned him after being assaulted. When she came back and told him what happened, they picked right up where they left off. She didn't tell everyone what happened and his family had trouble accepting her back. It worked out really well in the end. I enjoyed this short.
I loved this book that still has the Steeles involved. Leah and Reggie. What can I say I love that he was such an honorable, faithful man. The terrible event she went through would devastate any young woman. Glad that Reggie was a stand up guy. Can’t wait for the book, I have pre-ordered mine. Keep them coming Mrs. Jackson
Leah Mason returned home after five years with the secret of why she had really left which she finally shared with her sister and the love of her life Reese Singleton.
Questions were answered. Forgiveness Several babies born, which says more stories to come. Christmas is going to be a blast with the Steelers, Singletons, and other family and friends.
Bread read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Reese and Leah was in love. Five years ago a traumatic experience in Leah’s life caused her to flee her home town ending their relationship. This is a story of second chances, and rekindled love.
