When Marcy is faced with tough decisions after facing the loss of her father, will she run or will she stay and fight for her man? Marcy’s story continues in book 4 of the Rocking series with yet more tests of her relationship with Rick and her best friend Esme. With the arrival of Ashton, Rick’s son, Marcy needs to decide what she wants from her life and with her own revelations, both her and Rick have some decisions to make. But with Ashton’s birth mother turning up on numerous occasions, both Rick and Marcy are in for a rough ride, one that will follow them through Rick’s tour with Flix and will penetrate every area of their lives. Rocking Ashton proves to be another rollercoaster ride of emotions that is ‘The Rocking series’. This book is not only steamy, but also touching and at times heartbreaking. The perfect page turner.
This book has some sexual content and heavy language. Not intended for people under the age of 18
I love Rocking Ashton by Kacey Hamford. The emotional ride includes, touching scenes, heartbreak, heartwarming, steamy and tests of Marcy and Rick's relationship.
As they continue the band tour, Rick is surprised with Ashton, a son he had no idea existed. Decisions have to be made between Marcy and Rick. But, then the birth mother shows up. Marcy's feelings are stretched thin and isn't sure what to do.
Just as the previous books in this series, Kacey deliver a must-read. You'll go deeper into Marcy and Rick's emotions and fall in love with Ashton. I'm excited for the next book in the Rocking series.
Yet another fantastic book to carry on the rocking series. I laughed out loud, i cried a number of times but most of all i connected with the characters on a completely different level to the other books.
With each page i was drawn into the story deeper and once finished felt a sense of elation for Marcy and Rick and complete happiness at their ending.
As with the previous books i for one can not wait for the next gripping installment in the rocking series. Keep up the fantastic work Kacey
One of my favourite books from The Rocking Series, it’s such a lovely story. Marcy & Rick’s relationship is tested to the limit. There is a lot of emotion written into the story, I laughed, cried and was on the edge of my seat in some parts, a real page turner. I couldn’t put it down and read it all in a day! A fantastic 5 stars and a big well done to Kacey for writing such an amazing series.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review. Rocking Ashton was a wonderful addition to an already amazing series. This book starts off where Rocking Marcy left us with a cliffhanger. The authors are doing such a wonderful job with this series and I'm looking forward to seeing more books in this series. This book has the highs and lows when it comes to Marcy and Ricks relationship and I was happy to see after everything that was thrown at them they got their HEA.
I seriously can't get enough of this series !!! My heart breaks for Marcy though - she has so may up and downs in this series and I looked forward to reading her story with Rick! And his surprise is amazing - and shocking! This is author is by far one of my new favorites :)
Rocking Ashton (Rocking series #4) by Kacey Hamford
1 Star (Did not finish)
I hate to rate and review books that I didn’t complete, but since I have read the three previous books in the series (50% of this book) and the reason I didn’t finish was because all the problems from the previous books are carried over to this one, I will do it this time. I just could not cope any longer with Rick calling Marcy ‘Angel’, hearing about his ‘jumping dick’ at inappropriate times, or with the unbelievable relationship the group all have with Ashton.
Marcy is not travelling with the band at the moment because she is still settling her fathers affairs after his death in the last book, so when Rick’s ex turns up with a two year old boy and tells Rick this is his son and it’s his turn to have him because she never wanted the boy, Marcy is totally in the dark about it.
There were many things that frustrated me about this situation. Rick is staying on a tour bus, really busy and not an ideal place for a two year old, but this is no problem, the pair bond within minutes… literally, and Rick turns out to be a super dad that manages to go shopping and buy the boy new clothes etc, and even thinks to buy him arm bands and a float for when they go swimming… because of course this is the first thing you’d think of when a toddler is thrust upon you without notice and you’re on tour with your band. (Yeah right!) Also this child who has lived with a woman who doesn’t want him, makes him sleep on the floor, shouts at him and smacks him, and has ‘loud men’ around the place that frighten him, for some reason was taught by her that swear words are ‘naughty words’ and he constantly pulls the adults up for using them.
Ashton (The neglected and abused 2 year old) is also clever enough to ask if Marcy is going to be his new mummy (before he even meets her) because he wants a mummy who will love him and cuddle him… he has never experienced that type of relationship and is no way old enough to have witnessed it and be able to voice the need for it for himself, it was so annoying. Final straw, Ashton’s 3rd birthday…How did Rick know it was his birthday? If you want to give the impression of a neglected and abused child at least keep it real, do some research into how it would affect a child and his behaviour… Also look at the speaking and comprehension of a 2-3 year old child who has been neglected and abused, because he would not have had anyone helping him to learn to speak and understand anything other than shouts and smacks so would not have the ability to communicate so effectively.
The plot is bogged down with unrealistic situations and implausible events. The writing has not improved since book one, the dialogue is still irritatingly false with choppy writing that has no flow. Sex scenes are repetitive, cold and un-thrilling due to the woodenness of the writing.
I would not want to put anyone off this series, but feel you should go into it aware that the writing is very immature and screams of inexperience, and though copy wise the edit is okay, it is in much need of a content editor to advise on realism and writing style.
This story picks up right where Rocking Marcy ended. At every turn Marcy seems to have drama and/or heartbreak. Ashton turns out to be the glue that keeps everything together for Marcy and Rick. I also love how you still get a glimpse into everyone else's lives, it keeps you in the loop and makes you want to read more about them as well. This was another great read in the series and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
I can honestly say I will not read anymore in the series. Even though I did not love Rocking Marcy, with how it ended I felt compelled to read the next part of Marcy and Rick's journey. It was painful. The writing did not improve and the scenarios were very unrealistic. The drama and the angst felt forced and now the little liking I had for Rick melted away. The writing style is very young and not for me.
Oooooooo FLOVED! Rollercoaster of emotions. Totally loved the story for Marcy and Rick, again their journey was bumpy but totally worth it. You see their struggles and they way together they work through them. The love is clear as day.
Loving this series so much book Four is more of Marcy and Rick’s story with the added addition of Ashton. This is a hot rocker series that won’t let you down. It’s beautifuly written and action packed with loveable characters that will have you wanting more. Highly recommend as a must read.
