‘Ghostileaks’ – a collection of terrifying short stories with twists, inspired by the author’s love of the paranormal, horror and his own weird real-life experiences.
Admit it; we all love a good ghost story, especially if they are true tales of things that go bump in the night. Gather together, make a tent out of blankets, grab your flashlights and prepare to feel the thrill of gooseflesh, the unnerving sense that something is just out of your vision, but it is there, hiding in the shadows…just waiting for you to be alone…Welcome to Ghostileaks where you will leave forever changed, at least until daylight.
M.J. Peter is a master story teller, using short addendums to tell of how the story came to be. Were they from fact or fiction? Each short story is perfectly narrated to give the feel that these events did happen, and that they could happen to anyone, maybe even you.
Before you think that you could get lucky and find a tale about Casper, perish the thought, could be your worst nightmare is human, or not. Trust me, you will think of these tales the next time you take one of those thrill rides that go through dark tunnels, or maybe the local haunted house or house of mirrors, even! If you love that feeling of unease and a few rapid heartbeats, this is for you!
The creep factor is in our own imaginations running amok, not in bloody shreds of intestines flopping wildly about. The mind is a powerful tool and M.J. Peter knows how to use it to his best advantage. Follow along as M.J. Peter uses his words to create twisting tales that lead one on a journey to the unknown. Fun reading in a creepy kind of way…a chance to take a walk on the dark side without leaving your chair in that well-lit room, with the doors locked and drapes drawn, alarm set...Oh no! Where is my dog?
I received this copy from M.J. Peter in exchange for my honest review.

If you want to read short stories that will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up then this is definitely a book you must read. The stories were well written and you are given a front row seat to the darkest recesses of the author's brilliant mind. Whatever you do, read this with the lights on.
The book contains 13 separate stories about the paranormal with a horror twist. It’s easy to read which doesn’t mean it's boring. Each story gripped me and gave me that eerie Twilight Zone feeling which I love! I was experiencing the emotions of the characters; if a character was scared, I felt it. In one of the stories, the character is feeling chased and hunted down. I actually read the words faster, hurried. Sometimes my heart was racing and I often had an evil grin because of the plot. Two of the stories left me wanting to read them again because I didn’t fully understand the plot. Like when you need to watch a movie twice to fully understand the story. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though. It means I can be surprised by reading these stories a second time.
I also really liked that besides fiction, the author also shares his real-life experiences with the paranormal. This shows the author’s passion and knowledge on the subject. The creepy facts about how the author came up with a story are a wonderful addition. I really liked reading a little bit of the background.
I really enjoyed this book. If you’re interested in ghosts / the paranormal, you should definitely read it!
I liked the intimate feel of the stories and how they seemed to be told to the reader from the perspective of someone that had seen all of this. The facts that followed the stories made for a bit of interest and lenses credence to the tales. Some of them were quite creepy and all were very fun and interesting. If you like a good ghost story you should give it a go.
I really enjoyed these stories. The one I most enjoyed is "Look Don't Touch" as I have always had a fascination with tunnel rides and anything Carnival/Fair based. Each story has a Creepy Fact after it where the author gives a reason for the story - which added to the Creep factor, because you discover they are often NOT just stories after all.
I recommend you give this a try. But keep the lights on when you do.

The book is a good paranormal story collection and for me it starts really well with one or two stories that could develop into something really chilling, or terrifying. They unfortunately, don't I'm afraid. If he expands on a few, that would maybe make this better for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed M J Peter's stories on encounters with the other side. Delightfully ghoulish and creepy with mind-bending twists, but at the same time thought provoking. Some of the stories made me examine what has happened in my life that could possibly be considered an encounter. I would recommend this collection of short stories.
I enjoyed this collection. It was horror, paranormal, sci-fi thriller, and even included some inspirational information. My favorites were: The Investment, The Jolly Coven, My Humadroid, & The Statue.
An amazing group of short stories, that kept me glued to the pages. It was full of surprises, they were very descriptive stories. glad I was reading it in the daylight!
