This review only covers part three of Freeing Lana, since I had already written reviews for parts one and two. Please read parts one and two before reading this review.
This book was based off of real events, which really lends to the wtf factor. This book is also very dark, and again, based off real events. Someone lived through this. Just think about that.
Lana suffered a horrible tragedy, being kidnapped and sexually assaulted. That experience changed her forever. She turned into a sexual deviant, almost, really wanting to explore the darker side of sex. When her boyfriend, Sergio, wasn’t able to come to terms with that, and not be what she needed, she turned to the local police officer, known as Tink.
Tink was able to help her with her desires. He filled her in every way possible. She was happy. Until she found out that he knew something that he should have told her. That ruined her.
Meanwhile, we also have Sergio’s point of view. HOLY GOD Sergio changed, like 360 degree changed. He’s building sexual contraptions and really taking charge in the bedroom, just not with Lana. But he never really got over her.
I love dark books. I really do. Dark erotica is definitely my favorite genre to read. There was just one action that happened in this book where I put down my kindle, stared straight ahead, and said, “What. The. F**k.”
And as I said, the fact that it’s based on real events lends a lot to the reader’s experience. Things like this really happen to people.
Overall, I have to give this book four stars. While I loved it, there were just some things that I cringed at. Other than that, I loved it. I’m still trying to process this book, too and I finished it about three days ago.
Kristin Elyon has promised us more Sergio and Lana and I can’t wait!
