Anger, Resentment, Jealousy, Rage, Violence, Hate and Fear.
For eighteen years, this is all I’ve known. When everything seemed to crash and burn around me, I could always count on those seven things to get me through.
At least that’s how it was until Isabelle.
With one brief look across a crowded parking lot, she altered my entire existence. Erasing all of the things I thought I could count on and replacing them with ones of her own. Things that even now, a year later, I still don’t think I deserve.
Forgiveness, Understanding, Acceptance, Friendship, Redemption, Hope and Love.
So what do you do when you’ve been given all of these things by the most beautiful person on the planet with nothing expected in return?
Well when you’re me, you find a way to screw it up.
She thinks I’m the strong one. That I’m not afraid of anything. She’s wrong.
I’m afraid of a lot of things, but the absolute worst is losing her. Losing yet another person I love and being powerless to stop it.
I can’t lose Belle. I just can’t. Even if losing her is exactly what I deserve.
You thought our story was complete, but what you’re about to find out, is no story ever really ends. It just finds new ways to begin again.
Mother, Sister, Daughter, Best Friend, Avid Book Reader, Author, Overall Crazy Person.
I'm Melyssa and I was born and raised in what is now known as the mega city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm the country girl stuck in the city girls body and anytime I can get away from the big city lights and settle somewhere far more slower is always such a treat.
I'm a mother to probably the four most amazing kids on the planet. (Yes that's a typical mom answer isn't it?) They have brought so much joy to my life and without them I'm not entirely sure where or what I'd be doing. They've taught me so much that I only hope I can do the same for them as they grow.
When I'm not with them I'm doing one of two things. Either curled up with my e-reader and as many books as I can handle or watching marathons of Supernatural, Sons of Anarchy or Veronica Mars.
Lastly, I'm always on the lookout for my next book boyfriend, even if I have to create him in my own stories. can't go wrong with a good book boyfriend. :)
Kayden Walker went from a bully to a sweetheart. He found the girl who he loves with all his heart. He wants to protect, love, and cherish her. He wants her in every way. And that becomes his weakness.
Belle Reagan is a remarkable girl. Compassionate, loyal, and brave. And she loves Kayden with everything she has.
In Count On Me, Kayden helped Isabelle step out of her shell. He taught her what love is. He taught her how to smile. Now, it’s Belle’s turn to teach Kayden the one thing he’s never learned on his own…how to love himself.
“You’re more than good enough for me Kay. You’re just not good enough for you.”
The way Kayden and Belle love each other is beautiful. Their story is beautiful. It isn’t without its problems though. But when two people love each other the way these two do, they do what people in love do – they work through them – together.
“We’re damaged, but we’re not broken.”
My heart soared so many times while reading this book. It was beautifully written and I swear there were pieces of my heart interwoven in these pages. I loved when they loved. I cried when they cried. I hurt when they hurt. There is a song that I hear in my head when I read this. I catch myself sometimes going through my playlist and listening, and when I do it always brings me back to Kayden and Belle. She is the Sunlight by Trading Yesterday. This is Kayden and Belle to me.
In order to understand what’s going on here, you first need to go back and read Count On Me. The other books in the series u don’t need to read but in order to get the full effect from Kayden and Belle, the first book is a must. All My Heart picks up a year after Count On Me and follows the characters as they graduate high school and move onto college. It starts with distance but a lot of sweetness even with them bein separated. Kayden is still the same guy but with the added bonus of bein a romantic where before he wasn’t because he was still findin his way. Belle is the same girl but isn’t. she’s growing and changing and the author goes into showing a lot of that for belle and for Kayden. This story is more romantic than the others, meaning that the focus is put more on that then anything else and we even get to see apperances by other characters in the series in it so we can see where they all end up as time moves on. There are also apperances by new characters, old characters and ones only mentioned before. I can’t go into much more than that without giving away a lot of what happens, but if you thought these two had been through the worst of it your wrong. What matters most about this story though is the growth and the change that happens. It happened with the first book but is even heavier at times here because they’re older and not kids anymore. I think this book might be more real than the previous book because this is all shit young adults go through. The way Kayden is at least at certain points, that shit happens everyday and maybe the stuff with belle might be considered unreal but that’s what good books are for. They give ya hope where u might not be able to find any. This was a solid book and as emotional as the others in the series which if u've read her work u know that the author seems to excel at.
I literally don't even know where to start with this review. I finished this book yesterday and had to take a full day to recover before I wrote a review. I don't know if I'll accurately express my love for this book, but let's see how it goes.
I guess I can start by saying that I energy this book. Yeah, not love, no. ENERGY. I'm even going as far as saying that I loved it more than Count On Me, and I adored that one. Everything about this book was just amazing from start to finish. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it as much as I did, but I shouldn't of been surprised. Especially when Kay and Belle are involved.
Where do I even begin with those two?
They are just PERFECT together. Every single scene between them was just great. But my favorites were definitely the one on the beach and the one in the end at the park. Without a doubt these two are one of my favorite fictional couples EVER. I can go on about them forever, they are just amazingly written.
And KAYDEN. All the sweet things he says to Belle, and his romantic gestures, and how much he cares and protects her made me fall for him even harder than I did in Count On Me. He only upset me with the things he said when he confronted Issac/Belle. I really wanted to smack him, but Belle took care of that for me, so it's all good haha.
And BELLE. I just love how her character developed in this story. How much stronger she is than the last time we saw her. I wanted to high five my e-reader when she stood up to Bryan. But all I could really do was fist pump the air. Good enough I guess.
And DILLON. Definitely more likable now. I already had started liking him more in Hear Me Now. But I didn't "love" him yet. Until this book. He was so funny in it, he had me laughing in pretty much every scene he was in. I love his humor and how it seems that he's so much more happier now. I like this version of him more, it suits him.
All the other characters were good too, but those three were my favorites. The whole book was just spectacular. So many beautiful quotes in it too. I think I've said this before, but, Melyssa you are definitely one of my new favorite authors. Your writing has sucked me in since Count On Me and I'll probably never be able to go back. Your writing is just that good. So once again, I thank you for giving the world such an amazing book as this one. I have a feeling I'll be rereading this one a lot.
Let me just start by saying I loved count on me. I loved it so much that I spent a whole day off reading it from cover to cover so when I heard there was going to be a second part to Belle and Kayden's story I was over the moon. As with count on me I devoured All my heart. Unfortunately I had to go to work so it took me 2 days to read but it was worth every minute. I think if there was ever a couple that I wanted a happy ending for it was these guys. They have been through so much together and through the ups and downs they are always there for one another. Belle has the biggest heart and Kayden is just amazing. They complement each other and help each other over come there issues. They have both come along way since count on me but they still have some issues to over come. As well as learning more about kayden's past and some of belle's insecurities we also get introduced to Issac. I personally can't wait to learn more about Issac. I can't say enough good about this book other than everyone should read it. It makes you stop and think even shed a tear or ten. There is some moments so sad but there is also moments that make you happy and in awe of their love. I always want more of there guys I just cant get enough.
"Madly is the way I love you. Forever is how long it will be. < 3"
I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn't wait for more Kayden and Belle. They are my go to couple when I need a break from the overly aggressive, smutty, dark and 'too much' books. I wanted sweet and loving and I got it in spades.
"Welcome Home." Two of the most beautiful words in the English language and the two words that may mean even more to me than I love you. I know you don't believe this, but you are my home, Isabelle Reagan. My safe place to land, my preserver when I'm drowning and my air when I can't breathe. When I'm with you, I'm home.
Oh sweet, beautiful, broken boy. Kayden is all these and so, so much more. I am really happy that he and Belle are together. They are a gorgeous couple to see just how much in love they are and he is with her. So protective, so supportive, so loving. I could read books and books about their journey together. They story is one that I love coming back to.
"We're energy Kayden. The way I love you, it's energy. I energy you, Kayden Walker."
Definitivamente no fue mi favorito de la saga, siento que la autora dejó muchos huecos de la vida de Kayden, el amor y odio hacia su mamá; sus periodos de ira, en sí su inestabilidad, eso le faltó de explotar en la historia
So this book, you don’t just read it, you experience it. I actually hated workin so much because all I wanted to do was sit down with this and finish it without people interrupting. There were just so many feels I had reading it. This is a completely different Kayden from the way he was in the first story. He’s grown a lot and omg how sweet is he when it comes to Belle? Major swoonage pretty much the entire way through the entire story. His heart was hanging out on his sleeve when it came to her and he didn’t care what anyone thought about it or how it looked. Romantic looks so stinking good on him. This is the Kayden we saw shades of in Count On Me but got to really see this time around, one year later. Every girl needs a Kayden and don’t even get me started on Belle. The supposedly weak and silent girl from the first story is no longer there and in her place is a strong, take no prisoners kind of woman and it was so freakin awesome to see and experience. This is the Belle that was there at the end of Count On Me, but that was still needing to work through some things before she could really come into her own and the way her relationship with Kayden helped her get there was perfect. They needed each other. They loved each other and it showed through ever single page in this story. Not even people from the past, new people or older stupider bullies could stop these two. They’re magical and the best thing about romance books. But they aren’t the only ones that were in this and that made it so amazing. Dillon. Reformed bad boy just like his best friend, but waaaaay better in this then he was in the others. Hilarious. I seriously can’t wait to read more about him now because if the way he was in this is gonna be in his own book, it’s gonna be freakin perfect. He makes a much better best friend to both Belle and Kayden then he does a bully. Sooooo much better. I might have a hardcore Murphy and Walker crush ;) Isaac was a nice addition. It was like seeing Eric again, but differently and he played off Belle perfectly. Knowing he gets his own books makes me soooo happy. If it’s anything at all like this one, I’m bringing tissues and making sure I’m taking time off so I don’t swoon in public because like Eric, he’s adorable and understated. I’m rambling but if you haven’t read Count On Me, go and do that and then pick this up cause you don’t need the others to get this one. You wont regret it. The feels are seriously off the charts.
Oh my goodness, I had to get this the moment I saw it was live! I devoured it. I was so happy to hear more of Belle and Kaydens story! I loved them in their previous book and I adored them in this one. They experienced so much growth and change it was beautiful. 5 stars!
All My Heart continues the story of Kayden and Isabelle of Count on Me. In this book they grow a lot emotionally and together as a couple.
Kayden starts dealing with his issues: his anger, his fear of abandonment, his insecurities, his jealousy, his self loathing and his belief that he is uworthy of being loved. Kayden made my heart ache... how broken he was and how afraid he was of losing Isabelle, and him trying to deal with it, to burry and hide this all on his own.
Isabelle grew stonger and independent throught the book... but was still the brave, lovely, sweet girl that we all absolutely adore. I was over the moon happy for her when
This book was beautiful, awesome and Real... because it is true... people do mess up... but seeing Belle and Kayden go throught their own issues (kayden´s anger and fears, and Belle's dependence on routine and sensory overloads due to her autism) together as a couple was just simply beautiful and heartwarming. ♥
There's also a great friendship between Dillon (he so changed for the better, that I even got to like him!) and Kayden that I really liked.
When I finished reading this book, my heart was just full... kayden and Isabelle´s love is just so deep and sweet and they totally complete one another. It was lovely, amazing... so 5 stars for this epilogue of the story of this couple I love so very much :)
I was looking forward to the continuation of Kayden's and Belle's story, and I wasn't disappointed. The story takes place a year after the events from the first book, and Belle and Kayden are off to college. Since Kayden accepted a scholarship to the university of Toronto- two hours from Wexfield- him and Belle can only see each other on the weekends, but they both can't stand being separated. Insecurities, secrets, jealousy, and the truth from the past come between the couple, who have to stay strong and determined in order to continue to believe in their love for each other. >_<
I always love reading one of Melyssa's books. They are so moving and written straight from her heart.
Her characters are beautiful and so filled with love. She has a way of intertwining innocence and strength that just pulls you right in to the story and fall in love right along with them.
The ending was pure wonderful! And it did surprise me!!!
I also love Isaac and I'm very excited to know that he has a story of his own coming soon.
I really loved this book. I love to know what happens in their future. It's emotionally charged. This author makes us fall in love with the caracters by making us feel what they're feeling. Emotions are well described. All of this author's books can be read by all ages. They're kind of refreshing. I highly recommend this series.
Just didn't work for me. Too much inner monologue and not enough dialogue. Every time one character would say something we'd get 2-3 paragraphs explaining why the other character thought they said/ reacted the way they did. Quite unfortunate because the story itself is interesting just poorly executed IMO.
It was a good read. I am impressed that the characters are so young and feel so passionate, maybe it is a cultural issue, because in my country the children I have met are not so intense. Kayden was a character who does not enjoy the sympathy of many, but I felt much more human. If there is something that I should criticize him, it is that I found some situations that were irrelevant or that were not resolved like the mother of Kayden or Dean. I really liked this story, I hope to read the rest again in the future.
"Madly is the way I love you. Forever is how long it will be." (Kayden Walker)
Realistic characters, believable character development, an adorable romance and an infinite amount of feels.
All My Heart is a continuation of a story that I thought I didn't need, until I read it. This book explores how Isabelle and Kayden have progressed as individuals and as a couple. While the last book largely dealt with Kayden protecting and helping Isabelle to become the person that she is, in All My Heart the roles are reversed and it's Isabelle that seems to be the strong one as she helps Kayden deal with the collision of his past and present.
Isabelle is such a strong character. She knows who she is and what she wants to be and while she deals with the struggles that come with being autistic, she has grown so much from the insecure girl that she was in Count On Me to the confident woman that she is in All My Heart. She takes risks, adapts as much as she can to the world around her and is so brave. Isabelle's character development is extremly heartwarming.
Kayden, on the other hand, has a ton of issues to deal with in All My Heart. Kayden isn't used to experiencing the love that he has with Isabelle and because of this he makes mountains of mistakes, some which are very serious. However, I always knew where he was coming from and could understand his point of view. I felt so much of sympathy towards his self-loathing and guilt.
Kayden and Isabelle are such an adorable couple and whenever they are together and being romantic, I can't help but smile. I love that Kayden and Isabelle cut through all the nonsense that I usually see in fictional relationships and actually communicate with each other. Apart, Kayden and Isabelle are amazing characters, but together they are an unstoppable force. Their relationship isn't a bed of roses and they do have a lot of issues that they have sort out, but I love how well they complement and support each other through it all.
It was also cool to see many familiar faces and many new faces. After reading All My Heart my favourite character is Dillon. In All My Heart he is the hilarious, asshole best friend to Kayden. I can't believe that I've fallen in love with one of the biggest douchebags in bookish history and I can't wait to read Hear and Now so I can have more Dillon in my life.
The only issue that I have with All My Heart is the typos and grammatical errors.
"I energy you, Kayden Walker." (Isabelle Reagan)
I honestly don't have much to say about this book except that I "ENERGY" it. :)
Oh, well, Melyssa did it again, this was soo cute.
You can really see a character development through the whole book, I liked that. I think we'll see a bit more of them in Dillon's next book so, can't wait!
A second part thasbwas totally unnecessary, a story without meaning, the first part was beautiful, I loved it, this second delivery disappointed me! Nothing more to say!
